Would give 4.5 stars. We had a couple communication issues at the beginning of the project but they completed the work as planned and with high quality. It would be helpful to have calendar invites or more frequent reminders about scheduled appointments/service dates. They also assisted in upgrading our electrical panel to support our new heat pump. We would recommend for future projects.

We had Greensavers install insulation & a heat pump, and they did a fantastic job. Overall communication was very good and the installation team was clean, respectful, and did great work. This work was performed in 2022 and we have had no issues with our heat pump since then. When working with Greensavers I recommend planning well in advance as they were booked out a few months when started our project. We also suffered some delays due to supply chain issues but the team communicated with us the entire time. In the end Im very happy we were patient and decided to work with them!

I sought bids from four contractors to do three jobs: install a heat pump, do weatherization, and install a water heater. I chose GreenSavers because they could do all three jobs, they gave a reasonable bid, and they seemed knowledgeable and professional. I definitely made the right decision. The fact that they could do all three jobs made coordination of scheduling much easier. Their team of performance consultant, project manager, and scheduler made everything run smoothly. They answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. And the people who did the actual installation were hard-working, skillful, and courteous. I am 100% satisfied with the product and service.

Everything from the estimate to completion of the project was quick and well done. The work crew was very professional. We were concerned about what the final appearance would look like, but you couldnt tell where the holes were drilled. And the best part is that we can easily tell that the insulation has significantly reduced how much the furnace runs. My only issue was that communications with the office, but not project staff, could be challenging at times.

Green Savers installed a Mitsubishi Heat Pump in July 2024 in my one level home built in 1991. Every thing was installed in one day. The house had existing duct work in the crawl space. I am very, very satisfied with the quality of workmanship on the install and with all the people who worked on my project.I still have the gas water heater in my one-car garage. The crew had to move it a few inches to fit the larger heat pump into the area. I plan to replace the gas water heater in the future and will call GreenSavers for that also. I highly recommend the Mitsubishi Heat Pump and Green Savers.

Cant say enough good things about the team at GreenSavers. We got an accurate quote very quickly that included a couple options and a clear explanation of the tradeoffs between them. Overall the price was very reasonable. Installation happened quickly, and they were able to adapt to our schedule. Communication was excellent. People showed up on time for appointments. The project went through with no issues, and we now have a wonderful new heat pump system heating and cooling our house! 10/10 would recommend.

Our neighbor gave us a reference for GreenSavers and we couldnt be happier with our experience. The GreenSavers crew came out for an initial visit. They inspected the house (including how it was not well insulated), the old furnace, listened to what we wanted, and then gave us the proposal.Over the course of a week, the crew insulated our ground floor walls (that had zero insulation), cut an access hole to our crawlspace and insulated it, removed our old gas furnace and installed a new heat pump with a blower (about the same size and location as our old gas furnace) for the main floor and basement, and also installed a ductless wall mounted unit for the upstairs. Weve had it about a month now and it has been great. The outside unit is very quiet, the main floor blower is also quiet, and weve already gotten to use both the heating and cooling thanks to Portland spring weather.More details...We have a 1930s house in NE Portland and our 25 year old gas furnace went out. We didnt have AC but knew we wanted it with the hotter summers and the now almost to be expected forest fire smoke. We got estimates from several furnace companies for a replacement furnace with AC and also asked them about heat pumps. They either didnt know about heat pumps or gave bad information.Our neighbors had a relative that used GreenSavers and we talked to them. They had used GreenSavers for a wall insulation project first because they knew they needed it. They said that was a great experience. Later they needed to replace their furnace and went back to GreenSavers. They had their heat pump for two years and it worked great even over the cold icy snowy winters. Our concern was that winter performance and they said it was great.GreenSavers was the only heat pump knowledgeable company we found and talked to. Sizing the house properly including how well insulated is how they determine what heat pump configuration will work for you. We also got the Mitsubishi Hyper Heat outdoor unit which works down to -13F.When the crews were working I noticed an old duct would not be used. I talked with the team and had a work order change to redirect it to a bathroom with no working ducts (the original one was disconnected by previous owner when rewiring the house). That small project was done perfect. The bathroom was always cold and now its the same as the rest of the house.The work crews were great, did a very thorough job, touched up the house paint after the wall insulation, coordinated the electrical contractor for the new heat pump installation, were respectful inside the house and nothing was damaged and everything was installed very professionally.The only two downsides:- this project was not cheap. Quotes for a new gas furnace with new AC was about $15k. This project was about $30k. But the GreenSavers included the wall insulation, crawl space insulation, and a separate mini split for upstairs. The upstairs was never well heated by the old furnace. We didnt think an AC using the same insufficient ducts would work well either. GreenSavers is aware of all the heat pump rebates: some were immediate and well get a little more back next tax season.- its a slight inconvenience, but the upstairs ductless unit and the main blower for the rest of the house need to be either both cooling or both heating. They cant be a mix (cooling upstairs, heating the main floor). Of course in the middle of summer or winter this isnt a problem. But in the spring and with a teenagers upstairs, its taken some education and coordination. But I think weve gotten used to it now.Wow. Sorry for the long review. Long story short, we had a great experience and really like the outcome. And we would do it again.

They were responsive through every step of the process, taking time to explain what they planned to do and why, and clearly communicating what to expect when the workers were there. Day of, the team lead walked me through the work zone to reconfirm the scope of work before they started, and walked me through again after they finished to show what was done. All of the workers seemed happy to be there and functioning smoothly as a team, which is a huge green flag! Ill definitely be reaching out to GreenSavers again when its time to replace our water heater, replace windows, etc. Wish I could hire them for everything!

Greensavers saved my bacon when the ice storm took out my water heater recently. They not only got me on the schedule right away but they were able to get exactly the water heater I wanted in that short time. Even before the work started, everybody communicated well with each other and with me. They cleaned up after the install and everybody in my house was able to take a nice hot shower! After the job, when my insurance company tried to slide out of reimbursing me, Greensavers promptly wrote a letter to address my insurance companies questions so I could be reimbursed for the loss. That was the best experience with a burst water heater that I can imagine.

Green Savers is an awesome company if you or your family members suffer from allergies or complex health issues due to bad air quality. They really understand your needs.Nick from Green Savers helped me and my wife picked the right mini splits instead of ducting system which prevented dirty air coming into the house from crawlspace. Plus he suggested cellulose insulation instead of fiberglass to help my wifes breathing problems. My wife tested the material and made sure it didnt cause her allergic reaction which is very nice of him.Erica did a very good job making sure everything was installed correctly. We really appreciate her communicating every detail before the HVAC and insulation replacement. It is a 4 week project and everyone showed up on time and delivered awesome work. We had a indoor dryer which leaks lint into the house. She came back with the crew to fixed it in a week.Tiffany did a great job answering many question in the original consultation, especially communicating with our designer and willing to expend the service area to Beaverton. Andrea handled the billing process very well. All the invoices are very clear with every service items. I highly recommend Green Savers. Its an All Star team!

I upgraded my attic insulation with a full cleanout, and added insulation to the walls of my small mid-century Portland home. Greensavers was very easy to work with. All of my interactions with the team were friendly and professional. The house feels so much better. It was a worthy investment. That being said, it was costly. If I had to do it over I would probably try to get more bids. The initial bid did not include clean out of the old insulation in the attic with 70 years of filth on it, so I had to add that service at about $2,800 extra. Overall Im very happy with the results. My house already feels much less dusty and we were very comfortable in the house during the recent freeze.

Had our windows replaced by GreenSavers, and it was fantastic. Salesperson was the most personable/not-pushy of the various places we got quotes from, and the price was in-line with those competing quotes. The communication process was easy, we were kept up to date on everything, and the work was done very professionally. I also REALLY appreciated how they looked at everything about energy-efficiency together--for example, explaining how replacing our windows will affect how powerful of a mini-split system we might need, or how we might get more benefit from replacing our crawlspace insulation vs. replacing our whole HVAC system, even though replacing our insulation would cost less to do. Really helped us prioritize which projects to tackle now and which we will tackle next---but regardless of the order, well certainly be calling GreenSavers to do those follow-up projects.

I would recommend them without hesitation.

What started out with a failing, 22 year old gas furnace, turned into getting a new, efficient furnace along with a much needed insulation project.The GreenSavers bid was fair and highly detailed on exactly what work would take place and also solid reasoning for why particular components were necessary. The analysis found quite a few hidden features of a 1934 home. Very impressive!The work took place over 2 different days with one part being the furnace install and the other installing attic insulation/sealing. The two crews were exceptionally professional, courteous and otherwise a pleasure to work with. Leading up to the work and following, the project managers made sure that everything went smoothly.Were already feeling benefits from the newly installed insulation, and expect next fall and winter to be much more cozy around here.We gladly recommend GreenSavers.

Besides their final cost being the lowest, we also chose them for the thorough and prompt communications - starting with the consultant who did the estimate, the installer who did a home-check as part of the estimate process, the project coordinator, and person who did the scheduling. We contacted Greensavers after buying a home in Portland. We started with the energy audit they offer. It provided an array of useful information about the systems of the house. They made a list of recommendations and we chose the ones that we thought were the most critical and that we could afford in the moment. The communication was clear and easy. We had them bring attic ventilation and insulation up to code, had them raise and insulate the heating ducts in our crawlspace, seal all entry points into the house, and install a premium bathroom exhaust fan. Greensavers pretty much did a hard reset on our house. Out with an ancient oil furnace and in with a heat pump and minisplit upstairs. Also blown in insulation in all the walls and insulation for our upstairs attic bedroom. In the winter, our attic bedroom was always an icebox. Wed have to turn on space heaters well before we went to bed, otherwise it was just too cold.In the summer, we ran 3 window AC units distributed arount the house. At night it was it will be hot or it will be noisy.Now, its amazing. In the winter, we hardly ever have to run the upstairs mini-split - the insulation is that good. And in the summer, its blissfully quiet and cool.They also did earthquake retrofit. Better to have and not need than need and not have.Working with GS was easy. We were having a ton of work done and almost all of the contractors were a pain and had to be babysat. Not the case with GS. They showed up when they were supposed to, did the work like they said, communicated well, and everything worked. They were a pleasure.I would just encourage GS to do a free one-year follow up. Its hard to take in all of the information that comes at you when you are getting oriented to the new equipment and after living with everything for a year, being able to talk to them and have them check on everything would be icing on the cake.

If I could give GreenSavers 10 stars, I would. I dont even know where to begin with my praise because the process was entirely effortless and pleasant for me. Mira came out initially to give me a quote and she was on time, knowledgeable, friendly and so easy to work with. I changed my mind a couple times about what I wanted (ended up w/ a 2 zone ductless heat pump system and insulating my attic) and she was patient, responsive and helpful. After Mira, I worked with Charles and Emily for scheduling and managing the project. I thought that for sure I wouldnt receive the same level of customer service as I had from Mira because she was tough to beat, but they were on it. You can tell when you work with a company that has good values and actually believes in them because everyone you interact with gives you the same level of care. That is GreenSavers. The level of customer service I received through the whole process was nearly unheard of these days. Not to mention, we are in the middle of a pandemic, recovering from fires and everything else that 2020 has to throw at businesses. And speaking of the pandemic, everyone was always masked up and kept their distance (which is really difficult to do in my 700sf house). Im also incredibly pleased with the units (they are QUIET, not like old loud heat pumps), its a huge upgrade for my house. I have absolutely no complaints about GreenSavers and I will choose to work with them again in the future.

After having an energy audit, Greensavers installed insulation in my attic and replaced s broken furnace with s heat pump. It was an organized and well managed project and I felt like I was getting a compressive plan to responsibly and economically heat my house. There were inspections both before snd afterwards to ensure everything was working properly and to make sure I understood how to use the equipment. The level of professionalism was unmatched. And the people there couldn’t be nicer.

The bid we got from Greensavers wasn’t the cheapest but they did offer more comprehensive services so we went with them and we’re really glad we did. We had our attic insulation and ceiling between garage and bedrooms insulated. The crew was super professional and did an excellent job, I crawled in the attic just to check it out when they were done and they did everything they said they would.It’s been a couple weeks since they finished and our cooling usage(as measured by our smart thermostat) is about 1/4 of what it was before the work, this is way better than I was expecting.Really happy with the service from these guys at every step of the process.

Greensavrs did a thorough energy audit and answered all of our questions about it. They shared what would have the most impact and what could be put off until later/what impact that would have and I definitely felt like they werent pushing any services. When we decided to go with exterior wall insulation, they had a very thorough questionnaire for scheduling (dealing with pets, noise, parking, etc) and visited to check beforehand. They also fit me in like three months earlier than the estimated work date and cleaned up everything after installation. Yay!

We had our home weatherized by Greensavers. It was a great experience! They communicated well and were prompt with scheduling. They did blow-in insulation in the walls and attic. Although it looked pretty crazy while they were working, they fixed all the holes and painted. Now that theyre done you cant tell from looking that anything was done! So far the results seem great - our attic is much cooler and the whole house stays fairly cool on hot days.
