I’ve used Steve Ackerman since 2015. He and his dad used to have their own business, but that became too much work. Steve moved to a place in Beaverton but that company went out of business. He is now at Crown Plumbing. He’s kept in touch with me all these years. I’m so glad I have Steve for my plumber as he is super good, does fantastic work, cares about the customers and their pockets. He’s not afraid to point something out that might also needs repair but will not push. Fortunately he’s younger than me so I won’t have to work with anyone else. I had a new water heater, insta hot installed and he repaired the pipes under the sink and put in a new garbage disposal. This was my mom’s Christmas present.

The team at Crown Plumbing have been wonderful to work with over the last several years. Rick has been our main point of contact, delivering consistently excellent service to us on multiple properties. Services rendered have been from small jobs, clean outs, to new main lines and entire house plumbing remodeling. They’ve been able to do everything. A few other names to mention, Dwayne, Darian, Steven, and others that I can’t recall at the moment have done wonderful services for us. We appreciate our prompt and professional experience using Crown Plumbing. Plumber Dwayne L was awesome. He arrived on time, and quickly fixed our dripping faucet. He then found a new potential problem, and replaced the old part saving us time and expense at a later date. We had a major blockage issue in our basement, which had been remodeled as a complete living space. Unfortunately, the drain pipes are cast iron and the damage extended through 4 sections of the living space: kitchen, under stairs, utility room and bathroom. Steven detected the lay of the pipe, developed a solution to replace the damage and organized the scheduling with Slab Works, the concrete company. They did a clean and fantastic job breaking through the concrete and replacing it with fresh concrete after the plumbing work was completed. Steven did an incredible job replacing pipe, making sure it was up to code and, after discussing many small improvements, he made our houses plumbing not only function better, but looked better. We added new shut-off valves, water heater, floor drain and utility sink. I cant say enough about how beautiful the improvements made, both functional and cosmetically. Thank you Steven and your crew for quick and incredible work!

I had an amazing experience with Crown Plumbing and specifically Steven, whom I worked with. They came out as part of another project to put in a heat pump water heater but during that process, I had questions regarding low pressure issues that we have experienced for year. The install for the heat pump water heater was great and finished on time and looks great. Because of that work and their ability to answer questions on the spot, I trusted them to come out again. They were able to resolve the pressure issues that I have been having during a separate visit and additionally helped to develop a quote for future projects that we know well have to work on. After my experience with Crown Plumbing, I will definitely be reaching out to them when we are ready for our next project.

Crown Plumbing has worked on several projects at my house over the last few years, including repiping. Everyone from the office staff to the individual plumbers I’ve seen during this time has been great. Most recently, Jordan (who arrived at the house just a few hours after I called to set up an appointment) was prompt, knowledgeable and super efficient. I dont remember how we found Crown Plumbing, but in 2018 Keith changed our lives by fixing the hot water valve in the primary bathroom shower which corrected poor water pressure we had lived with for 18 years. More recently, we needed a running toilet repair. Our house was built in 1932 and the toilet is original and we didnt want to replace it. After Jordan assessed the problem, Stephen came in to rebuild the entire tank assembly including a special wall mount. Its 3 months later and the old toilet is functioning beautifully. Today we needed two stacked sump pumps replaced in our basement (we have water in our basement from a spring even during drought). While looking around our basement Stephen noticed some things to address near term and other things that would bring our house up to code. Stephen writes incredibly detailed estimates. He knows current code. Hes not intimidated by older homes with cobbled together plumbing tangles. He is able to simplify complicated systems. He is a creative thinker and problem solver. Stephen is a great communicator, incredibly efficient, tidy (leaves no trace of a visit) and is very professional. Everyone we have interacted with at Crown has been polite and good at what they do, including Michelle and Alissa who answer the phone and handle scheduling. I think Crown is expensive, but I think milk and gasoline and everything else is expensive. You might pay more for Crown, but you get a good value because their work and materials are so solid. I strongly recommend Crown Plumbing, you will not be disappointed.

Steven and Crown plumbing , was an all-time great Customer experience. FYI, I am the coauthor of the McGraw-Hill book, Love Thy Customer, and I know what service excellence is. If I was writing that now, Steven and Crown would be one of the stories. From the basics of coming on time, doing what they say, cleaning up, taking care of all the details, they are 5 star.He noticed our water meter running when it shouldnt be. He then tracked that down to a toilet we didnt know was leaking and what to do about.At the end of the visit, we already asked for estimates on projects.We are pleased to have a Go To plumber when needed.

Ive been very pleased with the top level service and excellent communication working with Crown Plumbing. I worked with Steven on getting a dripping shower fixed - the shower hardware was from a very obscure manufacturer that couldnt be discerned, and Steven patiently did all the sleuth work to attempt to find the manufacturer, and ultimately was able to track down compatible cartridges that fixed the issue. Also worked with him to get some additional leaks fixed, as well as a nice new kitchen faucet, and couldnt be happier. He also helped identify some issues we might want to get taken care of in the future. Estimates are thorough and detailed to understand the scope of work, and scheduling service has been a breeze. Its not like you want to see your plumber regularly, but Stevens great and I highly recommend working with him and Crown Plumbing.

An upstairs kitchen drain pipe was leaking water into the finished basement and Crown Plumbing was my first call. They fixed the broken pipe, snaked the drain and even sent a camera down to see if all was clear since my pipes are hidden under a slab of concrete. I’m very happy I called on Crown Plumbing.

My main water line blew. Crown plumbing was the most reasonable bid I got. I was out of water for 14 days since they were fully booked. The day of my appointment they arrived and advised me it was going to be $1000 more. I was furious as any reasonable person would be. They ended up sticking with the original bid. Thanks Crown for sticking with the original bid & doing a outstanding job.

I was in a panic when my cold water line to my shower broke. Then when I discovered that the shutoff valve to my home was frozen open. My landlord put me in touch with Steve from crown plumbing.He was a God send. He came out the same day after his normal working hours, 6:30 at night and got my water line replaced. ThenThe next morning my hot waterline to the shower broke leaving me with a cold shower. I called him and he came out after working all day he got here at 9pm. He went over and above to help me. I will never use any other plumbing company.Crown plumbing and Steve Ackerman.Also a thank you to Conner the extra man who dug out our pipes outside so theycould replace the shutoff valve today.Lets just say I love Crown plumbing.

Crown Plumbing and Steven in particular were amazing. Steven was reccomended by a friend and he was outstanding.They were very responsive and came out the next day to troubleshoot why our second floor bathtub was leaking through the ceiling.Steven spent a lot of time going over the issues and the costs for different ways to fix it. Steven ordered the parts and then came back and spent about 10 hours straight fixing our leaky bathtub and several other plumbing issues we had.We will definitely use Steven again!

There is one thing I feel he could have done after making the repair, which was reinstall the pipe insulation over the area he repaired. I attached the old insulation to the repaired area. Overall I am very pleased with the job Scott did.

Joni and the Crown Team are Top Notch!I have been a customer for many years with multiple rental properties and my primary residence always serviced by Crown Plumbing. I had my sewer back-up at my house July 3rd right before the holiday weekend and I had the pleasure of working with 3 of Jonis team members Dwayne, Jordan, and Steve.Crown was able to fit me into their busy schedule and save the 4th of July holiday for our family.Dwayne came out first to diagnose the problem with a camera scope and promptly called Jordan and Steve the sewer team in to snake and sewer jet (water blast) the line. Additional lines in the house were found to be plugged as well and Steve stayed till 10:00 PM on the eve of the holiday to make sure the job was complete.I am a Crown Customer for life!

Steven Ackerman came out. No wonder this company has so many 5 star reviews. I called at 2 PM and the gentleman on the phone was able to expedite my service call and get Steven there within an hour. I sent him a picture of the discharge pipe that was leaking and he brought it up to code and even stopped for the parts before he arrived. I felt confident that he knew what he was talking about the whole time and I know how to fix things so I can tell when they’re not. He sent me pictures of the completed project and he really reinforced all of the components and did a great job

Another Emergency plumbing service took our names down, promised someone would come out, and then canceled at the appointed time. Then I called Crown plumbing. They set clear expectations about when they would be here and even slotted me in early because of my active leak.Our plumber Brian came out here and was very professional and helpful. He diagnosed what was wrong and got it fixed in a matter of an hour and a half. He also took time to teach me about some of the things that I could do to keep my drains clear and how to test for leaks in the future.While I did not enjoy having an internal leak in my house, Brian made it straightforward and as painless as possible. I will call them again If I need some plumbing done.

During the big storm this year we had some pipes under our sink blow and begin leaking. Plumbers were difficult to schedule and Crown was the earliest appointment. I was originally assigned Steven who was very clear about expectations and timing. We ended up having go reschedule for the day after my appointment. They sent Dwayne out for me the following day. Dwayne was great, he was quick, clean and did a great job. We had some other issues pop up while he was working on my house and he was able to resolve them as well. Easy 5 star review and Ill be calling them next time I need a plumber.

Derian, along with another plumber (name?) installed a new faucet and created an access door to it so that I winterize easily by turning the water off and bleeding the line. Hopefully no need for worry if another ice event happens! Derian was right on time each day and very communicative. Great work!

Steven came out today from Crown plumbing & was great from the start. And I appreciated that he informed me of a couple of unfortunate flaws on our new faucet that he was installing, which thankfully doesn’t affect the functionality only the look. But brought it to my attention so that I could reach out to the manufacturer. He also had to come up with a couple of creative solutions for the escutcheon plate covering our large holes in the wall for our replacement laundry room sink & a part that had to use for thr pipe to work with the new shutoff for our 1/2 bathroom toilet. He kept me informed & in the loop through out to make sure I was fine with th solutions he came up with. Steven was very nice the whole time he was in our home & we’d be glad to have him return when we have the rest of our master bathroom plumbing finished on our new construction. I called over half a dozen plumbers when my pipes froze and burst on Christmas Day. Crown Plumbing was only one of 2 to return my call. The other company said they couldnt do any work until the end of January!Crown Plumbing managed to schedule me in as soon as possible. When Skylar came out to estimate the damage, he was excellent to deal with. His communication was fantastic explaining what needed done and when he could do it. He worked long hours down in my cold and wet crawlspace fixing the issue with a very positive attitude. The initial fix didnt completely solve the issue so he came back the following evening on his way home to correct the final piece. I cant say enough about how fantastic Skylar was to work with. Id gladly work with both Skylar and Crown Plumbing again

STEVE ACKERMAN IS THE BEST! he has replaced our cement sink in the basement and recently he has replaced the water heater and put a new toilet in his work is superb never mess always cleans up everything which is not the case with a lot of companies he wouldnt even have known he was there except for the new things he installed and they are perfectly installed you might think you can all do it yourself by going to Lowes or Home Depot but the extra touches and his experience really shows it was recommended by a friend and she said he had been doing it with his father since he was 14 it shows crown plumbing is really good to have him

I would give this company 10 stars if I could. Where do I start?! A live person answers the phone! Frequently service is offered next day or within the week. From the beginning the customer‘s needs are placed first. We have had Crown help us with several projects and I will never call anyone else. Skylar replaced our kitchen faucet. He was knowledgeable, kind, and obviously cares. He was able to answer all our questions, provided great service and did his best to keep costs down for this and another upcoming project. Crown Plumbing impressed me from the start for their quick response to fixing my broken water main. They did not cut any corners and used the best materials for the job. Whenever possible they used quality brass fittings instead of cheap pvc substitutes. Before I had no way of turning off the water to my housewithout opening the utility cover next to the street. Now they built an access close to the house. What a relief to know that everything was done to such high standards.

I felt very good about my second experience with Crown Plumbing. This time they sent out Rob to my Maywood Park home. I had a pipe that was leaking due to an improperly installed pipe for my washing machine. It had been leaking water into the crawl space under the kitchen. Rob carefully diagnosed the problem and then estimated the cost based on the specific repair not the time spent on the project. For about an hour long project the expense came to around $450. The first time they sent out Skylar for a bit more complicated repair to a frozen outdoor water pipe. It was about a two hour repair for around $450. Skylar worked with me on the price of the materials used to keep the cost what I considered to be reasonable. Thanks you two!!!

We were dealing with an emergency because the kitchen sink would not drain. The clog was challenging because of old pipes and lots of small diameter tight turns, and the distance to the clog was almost 30 feet down the pipes. I was relieved when Dwayne from Crown Plumbing managed to get things flowing.Since the plumber was here, we got him to install a new disposal and a modern kitchen faucet with sprayer. Crown was awesome to work with! In the end, we couldn’t fully replace some things and he charged me for the hourly, despite working to install and running to get a part. I connected with them through Yelp about a month ago and got an appointment about a week out. I was hoping to swap hardware in my basement shower stall (as I thought it was broken) and they were very thorough on pricing, details, time frame and the plumber was so easy to communicate with. He took a look at a dripping faucet, a bathtub and gave great feedback for my issues (which were much more complicated than I would have ever known). Absolutely recommend. Very ethical and professional. The time I worked with him I learned all about the issues in my home and how to deal with it all. Overall, young adults can’t function a shower knob and temperature lever - and the plumber assured me my stuff was in good working order even after attempting to swap out delta shower hardware. Will use again as needed!!! 🙌

Wow, what excellent service. We called crown plumbing to fix a toilet that was leaking at the base. When Travis came to our home the first time, he made a quick assessment of the situation. He explained that he wouldnt be able to fix the problem that day because the previous homeowner had done a DIY fix incorrectly and compromised the original lead pipe coming down from the toilet. He showed me the pipes and explained all the steps needed to fix it. While he was there he looked at all of the plumbing and answered all of my plumbing questions - I was so impressed with his thorough knowledge, his warmth, and his excellent advice. I actually really enjoyed learning more about our plumbing and the history of the house. I learned that our plumbing is all original and will eventually need to be replaced, but we have time to budget for it and plan it. He described the different phases of the replacement process, which made a really big job sound manageable. He also recommended AGAINST some short term work, because given that long term plan, it would only add cost, not benefit. At the end of the inspection I had an estimate for the toilet repair, much more knowledge about my home, and the start of a plan to improve it.When Travis returned to do the work on the toilet, he was friendly, professional, and very quick. We were only without water for about an hour and had a working toilet again within three hours. And the cost was exactly the same as on the estimate. I am very impressed with Crown Plumbing and Im so glad that Ive found an excellent company to work with for future plumbing repairs and projects.

I had been given what to me was a very high estimate for what was a simple repair.It was so high that I elected to just pay the $145 for the estimate and hold out for my regular licensed plumber, who was able to do the job for about a third of the price. She understood my unhappiness, said they always intend to have a competitive bid and though she couldnt explain why there was such a discrepancy, what could they do for me? I suggested they refund the $145 which she immediately agreed to. I was very impressed with her reaching out and resolving it this way, this response was certainly excellent customer service.

Crown Plumping did a complete re-piping of our house. The project was difficult as the house is a log cabin. Rick and Nolan and associates did a fantastic job. They were on time and professional . The front office is great.Repiping here required repairs to the ceilings sheet rock and walls and some tile work. They also know general contractors that they can refer you to. The contractor Jim Flynn was a life saver. After the repiping was done he provided sub contractors to put the house back together. We needed carpenters, drywall and plasterers , painters, tile work and electricians to complete the job.

We have used Crown Plumbing since at least 2014, maybe longer. This last time it was to repair our the sewage pump system that is in our basement apartment. That apartment depends on a pump up system to take ALL its waste water to the sewer line. (sinks, shower, toilets, dishwasher, and laundry)Crown sent Keith to repair it in 2014 (4 years after it was installed by someone else) and it has worked perfectly for 7 years.The thing I especially like about Crown Plumbing is their timely response. Although they dont provide emergency services (no plumbing company in Portland seems to regardless of their website claims), but Crown has always responded to our needs within 48 hours and often even sooner. They dont have extra fees, memberships, or charges to get this timely service, they just do it as a business practice.Thank you Crown Plumbing, Joni, Keith, and all their employees for years of timely and professional services!!

Really 4.5 out of 5 stars. Our house in the SW hills developed a bad water leak between the meter and the house. Replacing the line was no small feat because of the elevation change and the different impediments to be found between the meter and the house. Crown Plumbing stuck to their original bid even though they had to revise their plan several times and devote many more labor hours to the project than they had originally planned. Through it all, the workers were very professional and responsive. The only reason to knock off any stars at all is it did take them several weeks between when they started the work and completed it but they set up a temporary water line free of charge to make sure we werent too inconvenienced while they devised ever more elaborate, but necessary, plans for reconnecting our house to the water main.
