I absolutely appreciate Colonial Heating & Cooling for their service on 12-27-24. The only thing I wish could’ve been better is that if they were the service provider that was sent out to my home in August 2024 and Aaron my HVAC technician would have came instead of the other company. I am positive I wouldn’t have to replace my 12 month old new refrigerator had this happened. Aaron K. called ahead of time to give me an eta , listened to the history of the problem, arrived on time, took pics and explained everything that was going on with my fridge(bc I had to leave for work) and was empathetic to delivering the bad news that my refrigerator was dying and the 900$ repair deemed my fridge unrepairable under my HPP. He even wished me a great day at work in spite of my news. If I could give him 10 stars I would. Thanks again Aaron, I truly appreciate your professionalism and humanism to my situation.!!!🫶🏾🫶🏾👏🏽

From the estimate by Steve to the Q&A with Kevin to the completion of work by Jesse & Nick -- all of my expectations were met or exceeded. Communication was always prompt. Every person from the staff was knowledgeable, polite, and professional. Highly recommended for anyone needing HVAC equipment.

My daughter and I are very pleased with the service Colonial Heating and Cooling provided. They came out quickly to assess my furnace needs. They uncovered a crack in the furnace which prompted them to shut it down for safety. George was very helpful and communicated I would need a new furnace. They came out the next day to start the furnace installation process to get us back up and running quickly. They returned the very next week to complete the furnace installation along with an air conditioner install and chimney lining. George and the team were friendly, efficient, and tidy. Overall the experience was seamless. 10 out of 10, highly recommend!!!

I would recommend this place to everybody in the world. They are by far. The sweetest people I have ever met. I am a Wayne County sheriff for Detroit, Michigan and I have a special needs daughter. The first man that came out fixed my dryer. He was the most respectful, kindest person, put bags over his feet to respect My Home and he didn’t even have to the second guy that came out to look at my refrigerator was so sweet. He was very fast. He knew exactly what he was doing. Min took him five minutes to diagnose why my refrigerator was not getting cool he was the sweetest person ever. I had to reschedule for this Monday because my parts arrived in the mail. Literally the next day literally super fast. Excellent customer service remarkable workers very well trained, and they know their job, and very respectful when they come to your home to you and your child or children and your pets and let’s not talk about Miss Sarah she is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever spoken with when I had to call to schedule my appointment for them to come back out when my parts arrived She was by far the most understanding kind hearted young lady I have ever spoken with. They are very fast. They don’t make you wait long and they are good at what they do. I wish I could give them 100 stars. I would recommend them to everyone trust me take a chance you won’t regret it , thank you so much for everything. And I didn’t have to lose any of my food as the repairs were taken care of Colonial heating and cooling. You guys are the bomb sincerely, your friend Officer Daniels.

There was an issue with my washing machine the technician from Colonial Heating and Cooling came out. Eric was exceptionally knowledgeable. He practically diagnosed my problem without even looking. After looking he was correct in what needed to be done. A part needed to be ordered which they sent directly to my house after 2 days. I requested Eric to come back he was very friendly , polite and knowledgeable. Now my washer is running like new.

We had a 4-8 window, so by 730 we were really thinking we’d be rescheduled. But nope, Jeremy got there about 735p and got us together super fast. He was thorough on explaining what the problem was and safely and rapidly made the repair. He was also very personable, my husband doesn’t talk much and pretty much lets me handle things, intervening when necessary. Jeremy had him engaged, now he thinks he can fix the stove himself, if needed. 😂

Scheduled from out of town with them to replace my moms furnace and AC. Spoke with Kevin who was professional and helpful from the start, answering all my questions and even giving different quotes to fit our budget. After the 2 day installation, my mom called raving about how exceptional their work ethic, clean work space and ability to care was. Jamie and John were incredibly easy to work with and took time to explain everything that was done. They did some extra work without charging her extra to help evenly distribute the air. Price was also very reasonable and able to be scheduled 3-4 days after initial contact. Wouldnt recommend anyone else!!

We can’t say enough about the experience with Colonial! Although we had to have three different return technicians to solve our dryer problem, each one was diligent, professional, and competent. Each one called to assure us they were on their way, and arrived in a timely manner, each one was courteous and mindful of our home by using covers on their shoes and each one was also courteous and aware of our time. They fixed our problem and our dryer is functioning perfectly now. The contact phone staff at Colonial was wonderful too! I could talk to someone immediately and they scheduled around our timing parameters , willing and able to get our service calls scheduled when WE, the customer, needed them to be. Each person we spoke with was friendly and accommodating! BEST experience we have ever had with a service company - hands down!! We will never call another service company from now on! He was courteous at all times, and had covers on his shoes to avoid tracking dirt into the house.The service was completed quickly, with an opportunity to ask questions.One possible improvement opportunity when scheduling the appointment might be to ask the ask the homeowner whether a water hose was available, as it might be needed to clean the condenser coils.

Colonial was sent out as part of my DTE service plan. Musaad (not sure of spelling) came out first. He was so thorough. He found the issue causing the noise and also ordered two parts for another issue. The parts arrived in a few days and I was able to get another appointment very quickly for them to come out and replace the parts. Eric came out the second time and he was also very thorough. Overall, I was impressed with their service. The last company that I had to deal with for my dryer, did not do a good job and actually left without looking my dryer vent back up. I will definitely request them thru DTE for any future appliance repairs! I will also definitely recommend them to anyone looking for Appliance service.

I tried to turn my heat on Wednesday morning to warm up the house a little bit and to my surprise the furnace wasn’t working. When my husband got home from work he looked at it and tried to fix but was unable to. I called DTE because we have the Home Protection plan and they were able to get Colonial out to my house Thursday morning. Our service time was 10a-2p, they showed up right at 10am were able to figure out the problem quick. They said they would probably have to order the part and it would be a couple of days, ok no problem. Well again to my surprise they called me an hour or so later and said they were able to get the part and could come back out that afternoon! Now my furnace is kicking out heat and I am extremely happy with the service they provided. The service guys were all very nice and professional and communicated great.

My furnace stopped working over a week ago. It was the night of the first frost. I have DTE coverage, not real thrilled with how slow they were. They did get me an appointment 5 days later with Great Dane heating. I mention that name because you would want to know they never came and never called!!! I am scheduled to have major surgery tomorrow so when dte said I had to wait another 2 days, Which put me at just 3 days before my surgery I panicked, in retrospect there was no need. Colonial heating showed up exactly on time and my furnace was a mess! There was so much wrong! A part or two? Had to be ordered. Jason assured me that he would have my furnace up and running before my surgery and he held true to his promise. Coming in on his day off. My furnace has new parts, George even vacuumed it out. Brandon did one part I think. In the end I have a fully functioning clean furnace with more than one new part. Jason went above and beyond the call of duty! And on top of that all three guys were very kind and considerate of my situation. I recommend Colonial 100% and I’ve written their name in my appointment book so if the need ever arises again I will be sure to request them from DTE! I know they will show up when they say they will! And they will get the job done!

I would highly recommend this place. They were able to send out someone the day of my call to diagnose the issue and two days later a team was out to replace my furnace. When we discovered that I also needed a new central air unit (not fun), the team did not hesitate to help. 8 hours later all the work was complete and although I was not happy to replace everything, I got a good deal with really good workers. Can’t say enough good things about the two Jessy’s (one does use an “I”, but I’m told we blame his mother for that).

Super friendly staff, the receptionist was able to get a Tech out for me right away. He showed up, worked quickly and was very knowledgeable. Fixed an issue with our air and explained everything to me in detail, also gave good tips on how to keep it running properly. Also gave us a quote for a new system but didnt pressure us to buy. Would recommend them to anyone and will use them again!

Washer repair using DTE insurance. Repair persons were friendly, experienced and professional. Scheduling was only glitch, repair people arrived early, which normally would be a bonus, but since I was timing my arrival to theirs it was a minor inconvenience.

I had colonial over to repair the washer of a stackable w/d. I think his name was Dennis, he found the problem right away, he knew exactly where to look, and what to do. Had it repaired in about an hour and it works great. He explained what the problem was and how to make sure it didnt happen again. I will definitely have them come back again if I have a problem with any appliance.

I had to have Colonial come out for a dishwasher repair. On the first visit the tech diagnosed the problem and ordered a part. The new part arrived soon after and another tech came out and installed the new part. After the new part was installed the tech accidentally chipped off part of our countertop. The tech apologized and put me in touch with a supervisor who also apologized and said they would take care of repairs. At no point was I given a runaround or did I have to fight with them to get the matter resolved. I really appreciated the treatment and customer service that I received from all of the folks that I contacted at Colonial and I would use them again in a heartbeat!!
