We reached out to Funari Public Adjusters because they have been a great resource to our extended family in the past. After our initial call, they quickly sent someone to our home for a thorough investigation and conversation regarding the process. As we walked through the claim process, the staff that came to our home and communicated each step along the way were organized, professional and kind. They literally took care of EVERYTHING for us, relieving us of any stress that would have come from dealing with our insurance provider. Can I just say Wow!! Truly I’m so grateful to this group, Chris, Gabby and all the team… they get it, and understand Customer Service, very time sensitive, the due diligence like no other, always returning calls, time lines are point on, they were relentless getting photos, measurements, bringing in their crew and just got it done, I could sleep 😴peacefully and wake up well rested. The process of navigating insurance claims is complicated and confusing by design. Facing an extensive plumbing repair project for a South Philly rowhome, I was very nervous about figuring out how and if I could file a claim. When Funari was recommended to me, I had never filed a claim before and didnt even know what a public adjuster was. After working with the Funari team, I can say that all the 5-star reviews here are warranted: they really took care of the whole process from top to bottom. They examined my policy to ensure I had coverage for what was needed before filing a claim, handled all interactions with the insurance company, and patiently answered all of my questions about the process (the repair was a big expense for me, so I had many!) The claim payment was more than I expected to receive - it covered most of the bill, and I was able to maintain some financial stability during an unexpected situation. Allowing the experts to handle this important part of the process was definitely worth the investment and was the best decision I made. I would recommend Funari (and also recommend adding water and sewer line coverage to your insurance policy) to anyone!

Disclaimer: Im writing this review at the request of Funari Public Adjusters. It will be posted to other review sites. I was not compensated for my remarks.When a wind storm damaged my roof, my insurance company offered me $60 to fix it. I decided that wasnt going to work for me so I contacted Funari after a recommendation from my roofer. After several months of arduous back and forth with the insurance company, Funari got me over $4,000 for repairs after his commission. They know the ins and outs of insurance claims that I had no idea existed. Theyre knowledgeable in the industry and have been around long enough that they even knew the engineers my insurance company sent out for inspections. The next time some act of God happens Ill call Funari before I even file a claim. Highly recommend.Edit (7 years later):I sold that other house, bought another one in spring 2024, and had a small exterior electrical fire in the first week after the purchase. (fixeruppers, you know?) I called Funari first and let them handle the claim. Even though I was kind of a self described problem client (we kept renovating to stay on schedule, adding electric re-work to the scope) before the insurance-hired fire inspector came out to document (30ish days later, ridiculous time line). Anyway, the team at Funari handled it and navigated all those interactions really well.The fire department had ripped up a big chunk of one wall, but funarr ended up getting a loss payout that jussssst about covered the cost of residing the house. It takes a long time to get through these processes, but once again Funari came through...

Highly recommend!Our experience with Funari was fantastic from beginning to end. Our basement was flooded with 6” of water while we were out of town, and because of the nature and extent of damage we decided to hire a public adjuster rather than try to navigate the insurance claim on our own. We are SO glad we did. Funari immediately sent an agent, Bryant, to our home – same day! – to assess the damage and explain the whole process. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took plenty of time to answer all our questions, making it clear there was no obligation to move forward. This was our first experience with a public adjuster, so we weren’t sure if agreeing to pay them a percentage of our settlement would be a smart decision financially. It turns out it was the best decision we could have made. I don’t have the knowledge or experience to comb through and analyze every line item of an insurance proposal, nor the personality type to negotiate with the insurance company to ensure we are getting all the compensation to which we’re entitled under our policy. Chris Funari and his team do this all day every day, so we’re very glad we had the benefit of their expertise. They handled EVERYTHING for us – all communications with the water mitigation team, all communications and several negotiations with the insurance company – everything. Gabby and Kelly in the office were always extremely organized, attentive, patient, friendly, helpful, on-point – everyone we dealt with was fantastic. By the end of the process we ended up getting two additional significant payouts we never would have received without Funari on our side. I hope nothing like this ever happens to our home again, but if it does, we know who to call!

I am so proud to write this review for Funari Public Adjusters. Lets start with Andrew...we will also end with Andrew. This guy is amazing. My elderly mother had water damage from a leaky pipe. I called Funari Public Adjusters and Andrew arrived at my convenience. He was likable and nice, but most importantly, he IS knowledgeable. Andrew explained the process to us and answered all questions. Afterwards, he spotted damage that we did not notice. But wait, there is more...He followed up with us during the process and gave us status updates. I really appreciated that, because anxiety set in a few times.As I said earlier, my mom is elderly. No worries. Funari brought the settlement check to her! We didnt have to figure out to get her to their office.I want to mention one other person. Gabby is outstanding. I had a question for Andrew and, in his absence, she was able to respond. She is also a great asset.Lastly, Andrew called after we received our check. Andrew and Chris were like lawyers working on my behalf, they got things covered that I wouldnt have know were even a part of the claim. Fact: the most important concern for your insurance company is not you, it’s the shareholders. What makes the shareholders happy? Profits! What does your damage claim do? It reduces profits. Insurance companies don’t like that, so they have a major incentive to keep your claim as low as possible. Don’t take on your insurance company yourself; most likely you are inexperienced in these matters, they, however, process hundreds if not thousands of claims per year; they know what works best for them.You probably wouldn’t go to court on an important matter without representation, same applies here. The Funari team will provide you with successful, seasoned, professional representation that will protect your interests to the fullest.A water pipe broke in our dining room ceiling soaking drywall and flooring. Our insurance would cover these obvious damages, but Funari found other concerns that were not so obvious that I would never have thought of, and, of course, my insurance company certainly didn’t bring up.The best part is the Funari team will do EVERYTHING for you. This is our second experience with Funari. They came highly recommended from a friend. They were prompt and courteous, from the office staff as well as the gentlemen who came for the initial evaluation. Process was painless. They contacted the insurance company and setup the mitigation process for the leak. Couple of weeks later I was updated on the progress and couple of weeks later my check was ready. They even had a carrier come to my work across the river to give me the check. Our HOA now will exclusively deal with Funari for any future events. I dont usually leave reviews but thought Andrew from Funari exceeded our expectations and deserves to be recognized. We had a leak that wasnt major but still costly to repair. Andrew took his time examining the damage and then helping chase down the source of the problem. He went thru all the pros and cons of making a claim or not and didnt pressure us one way or another. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was easy to speak to answered all my questions without making me feel self conscious. Boiler busted in the basement. 600-700 gallons of water. I called public adjustors on a friends recommendation. Best idea ever. CALL ADJUSTOR FOR ANY DAMAGE. Worst case scenario, they will tell you it anit worth it.So the best part was that Furnari really took care of me financially. They fought for the highest amount and I am very happy with the result. Easy 5 stars.The only issue I have is that it was impossible to get in touch with anyone beyond front desk. And while everyone I spoke to was knowledgable, and me being a layman in the process, at some point it would have been nice to hear from the adjustors themselves. Only gripe.Everything turned out fine, they have great contacts amongst banks and will get you your money. I recommend Furnari.

I had a bad contractor that was verbally abusive, gave the run around and gave excuses. He tried his best to work with them without success. I had to go into litigation to gain anything from the contractors.follow-up 5-5:He explained the final decision. followed up on every interaction from the insurance and explained. We are first time homeowners and had a clogged pipe that resulted in water damage in the basement and damage to our roof from a storm within a few month period. Weve never had to file a claim before or deal with this level of damage, and I didnt know where to start (do I call the insurance company, how do I navigate the process?). A friend who had worked with Funari in the past recommended them to me. Im so glad they did! They did all the work, talked me through the process, and handed me a check at the end. This company was EXCEPTIONAL. I was completely overwhelmed when my basement flooded but Funari quickly, same day I called them, came out to my home. I had never had this experience and had called my insurance company first. I have so many good things to say that I have to be careful here not to write a novel here.My business standards are high, therefore so are my expectations of the people I work with, and Funari has been able to exceed my expectations by leaps and bounds. Everyone is just Incredibly friendly. Jason had been super responsive and communicative about every step from the start to finish; never even had to wonder about the status of the claim, Jason would call on his own with updates. Funari is a very capable and professional company that handled my entire claim without any of my involvement; I seriously never had to speak to anyone from the insurance company, not even once! Theyre like a pitbull that is nice and friendly with their family but immediately super protective and ready to fight for you and doesnt settle until theyre assured that youre well cared for. About 5 months ago I had a tree fall on my house from a wind storm. There was damage to my house, fence and electrical inside the house due to downed power lines. I never knew how much i didnt know about dealing with my own home owners insurance policy! Chris Funari returned my call the same afternoon and arrived promptly that evening to assess the hot water heater damage to our closets and basement. Chris was friendly and very knowledgeable! While I was out-of-state with my family, grieving the illness and death of our mother, a water line valve leaked and I came home to 3 months of water damage. Dealing with insurance and contractors and clean-up while in bereavement was going to impossible, so we hired Funari Public Adjusters to advocate for us and negotiate the insurance claim on our behalf. Our adjuster, Chris Funari, thoroughly assessed the visible damage, and he knew where to look for hidden damage. We had it behind the drywall and floorboards, in the crawlspace, on the joists, under the tile floor and in the cabinetry, and Chris’ knowledge and foresight ensured that we wouldn’t miss anything that could cause problems down the road. When our insurance company initially tried to get tough and denied parts of our claim, Funari Public Adjusters responded with a report with detailed and independent evidence of the damage that our insurance company was required to pay for under our policy. Chris was willing to fight for what was fair; not more and not less, and he was prepared to take that fight to court if necessary. Funari Public Adjusters advocated my claim for water damage with my insurance company, after the insurance company offered only a limited loss coverage compensation. The Funari company looked at the damage, pointed to things that should and would not be covered by my homeowners insurance. In several instances, the insurance company stated they did not cover things that Funari was eventually able to negotiate so that insurance did ultimately cover it. Almost immediately, a team of restoration people were sent with giant dehumidifiers and fans to absorb the moisture in the walls to avoid black mold. This was our first time experiencing a fire at our home. Chris Funari was amazing to work with! He was patient with our many questions and he took the time to explain everything. He even went back for a second round of negotiation when he felt their decision was not fair.Recovering from a fire is stressful. Cleaning, demolition, working with L&I, repairs, hotel stays, inspections, multiple walk throughs and meetings, replacing furniture, carpet. Etc. The process is honestly a headache but Chris helped us through each stage. If we needed him, I’d send a text or an email and he was very responsive. Most importantly, because of Chris, we had the money to do everything we needed to repair the damage. In the end the repairs cost more than we thought and way more than we would have asked for, but Chris knew and he got us the money we needed.The process was long but in the end it was well worth it. They organized the rest. I only needed to be available to let people come put together estimates and Funari kept track of the rest. They communicated with the insurance adjuster and kept track of everything. They are very professional and obviously very experienced in dealing with these situations. I was kept appraised of new developments, but otherwise, I was able to concentrate on my family. Although I would have obviously rather never have had to deal with a housefire, the outcome (thanks to Funari) was much better than what I could have accomplished myself and much less stressful. I hope to never have cause to lean on them again, but I would not hesitate to reach out once again if the need does come up.

My Moms house was devastated when a tree fell on it, then it rained 3 days. While our insurance company was responsive, their initial offer was woefully short. Going forward from that would have been very difficult without Funaris assistance. They were helpful, friendly and responsive at every step. The stress dealing with home devastation is bad enough without the worry of being short-changed by the insurer.Public adjusters represent you to the insurance company for a % of the settlement. In our case, we agreed to a % above and beyond what the insurance company already paid. Whether it would have been better to have had representation initially I cant say, but we were satisfied with the outcome.Insurance companies use complicated software called Xactimate that supposedly assess your damage precisely but many of the inputs depend on the adjusters whim. So, the adjuster initially said it would cost $5000 to replace our roof that, in fact cost $11,000 to replace 17 years ago. Then they argued technology has reduced the cost of a roof over 17 years. So its key to fight the insurance company with someone who frames estimates in Xactimate. A contractor who just says itll cost $400,000 to repair without the line by line detail wont move the insurance company.2 aspects about dealing with large claims are:- the insurer only gives you up front the depreciated value of the replacement cost. The balance only paid when property repaired or replaced. Funari helped make the up-front payments as large as possible- insurance contracts have an arbitration process where a 3rd party appraisal resolves your differences w/ the insurance company. Funari helped increase our claim value with this too. We would have never known how to do this ourselves.We ended up doing 30% better with representation even after the fees and would do it again.
