My husband was recently diagnosed with a debilitating disease. He cant go upstairs and was having a hard time using our downstairs standard height toilet. Weve had Edward Hughes do work for us before so we contacted Edward Hughes & Son to have a chair height toilet installed for him.I sent a request for an estimate late Friday afternoon. Jennifer, from their office, called me as soon as she got my email. A rep come out early the next morning, Saturday, to measure and estimate the job. He said they could do it that day and before noon our new chair height toilet was installed! My husband is very happy with it too :-} We always recommend Ed Hughes and Sons. They give great service, good prices and theyre caring people.

I had an issue with my thermostat. It not longer was working correctly. I bought a new thermostat but was having issues hooking it up. I called Edward Hughes & Sons for assistance. They were real nice over the phone. I was able to get an appointment quick. The problem was quickly discovered. There was a wire that was no longer good that connects to the thermostat. They were able to replace the wire and connect the thermostat. They even showed me how to use it and set a weekly schedule. I also had them do a maintenance service to my unit to make sure everything was up-to-date and ok. They changed my filter and gave me some pointers. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great experience and reasonable prices.

I had an issue with my water heater. I discovered water in my basement and it was coming from the water heater. I called around but many plumbers were booked because of the holidays or closed because of COVID. Edward Hughes & Sons was able send someone over to my home right away. Not only that, but they were able to give a quote on the spot and change the water heater right then. They had the water heater replacement I needed and did not leave until the job was done. They took out the old water heater and even installed some shut-off valves I was missing. They were quick, clean, and professional the entire time. I was very happy and was able to have a hot shower that day. I would only call them again and have told everyone I know that this is a good company. Thanks!!!

I have used Hughes Plumbing for more then 20 years and counting. From the first day, they have been completely honest, professional and consistent in their work, their guarantee, and cost savings for my family. My 30 year old AC unit finally went out on one of hottest days ever. I called Hughes, Rita called me right back, they came, wrote up a proposal that worked for me and my family, and the next day, they were here at 8am. When they were done, I had the best complete system I could ever imagine! Hughes does excellent work!

I am incredibly satisfied with this company. When a leak started in our basement and we didnt know where it was coming from, we reached out. The initial contact (with what Im assuming was an answering service) was a bit disconcerting but someone else reached out only a few hours later to set up a service appointment. The next morning, someone came out, immediately identified the problem, and sent out the next guy to fix it within a matter of hours. They forgot to replace the cap to the drain out on the sidewalk and someone came by the next day, even after they had already been paid, to remedy it. 10/10 would recommend- responsive, efficient, and show up when they say they will.

Actually I called another company about a year ago compare prices, and to repair busted pipe in my basement, and other minor/major bathroom repairs. The other company said I would have to call another plumber for the bathroom issues. Their price to only replace the pipe in my basement was the same price Hughs quoted to do both jobs.

I guess everyones experience is different (referring to overall rating). I had nothing,but very pleasing experience with the guys. Father and son Carl and Carl Jr were real magicians. They fixed a looong time problem with standing water basically everywhere in the basement (kitchen sink,bathroom sink). It was so quickly and easy. Other plumbers just wanted your mone(more $$$) and kept doing wrongs things (such as cleaning the main sewer line) outside,which didnt resolve the problem and wasnt the problem at all. Never call ROTO ROOTERS again,call these guys for all your plumbing problems. Theyare awesome (PERIOD!). Thank you very very much!!!!

Wow. That is what I have to say about Edward Hughes & Sons! These guys are the real deal. I had an emergency with my elderlys mother heat. The temperature has been dropping and without heat, this can be life threatening. Most places I called around to wouldnt even pick up. Those that did told me they were booked for weeks. But not Edward Hughes & Sons... these guys answered the phone and came right away. They were able to do necessary repairs and get my moms heat working again. My mother said these guys were polite and very professional. She could not have been happier. All I have to say is thank you Edward Hughes & Sons and I will be calling you for more work in the future!

95 degree day and my brand new air conditioner was not working properly. After a little unsuccessful troubleshooting I called EH&S around 9am and had a technician at my home by 10:30am. Within 40 mins we discovered that a mouse had chewed through a wire. It was fixed in no time at a very reasonable rate. Id recommend EH&S to anyone.
