    This is the second time I’ve used City Plumbing. First time was emergency furnace repair and response to my call was immediate. This time (Nov 2024) need to have bathroom sink removed and new one installed. Mike was very capable and easy to talk to. He laid out my options honestly and clearly and picked up the new sink and fixtures. I was happy with both service calls and the office staff is very helpful as well.     Very highly recommend City Plumbing! Phone triage was super responsive and polite. They assured me I would have someone out same-day to replace a leaking toilet tank. Appreciated the transparent pricing up-front. Within a few hours, Mike called to confirm his arrival time before coming out. Mike completed the job professionally with ease and efficiency; explaining the repair and asked if I had questions or concerns throughout the process.     I’ve been using City Plumbing for the last four plumbing issues I’ve had, both personally and as a property manager. From a flooded basement due to a blockage, a leaking toilet, a busted boiler, and now a kitchen sink drain leak, Mike at City Plumbing has been a constant professional and gets the job done quickly and professionally. They are able to slink themselves into tight spaces to get to the issue while protecting the cosmetics that surround it- no additional damage to surroundings like other plumbers have caused. I will use them for every future issue I find!

    We had City Plumbing come to replace two outdoor hose bibs that were leaking. Mike called 15 min before his arrival and was completed within an hour. He also installed a drain line that we could remove the water from these 2 hose bib lines to prevent any water freezing during a cold winter. We were super pleased with his work and would recommend City Plumbing to anyone!

    Recently I had my house heating system and hot water tank replaced. The price I paid was competitive and the quality of work is what you would expect from a contractor.Jason and Richie did an outstanding quality job.The installation work was superb. They took the time to place drop cloths on the carpets and not to soil the carpets for this job.     City Plumbing was really helpful to me today. I wasnt aware of how low the temperature was dropping overnight and didnt leave a tap trickling like I usually do. I woke up to no cold water running in the bathroom and knew I had a potentially serious situation, especially with Christmas imminent. I struck out with several other plumbers that couldnt come until after Christmas before I reached City Plumbing. They immediately agreed to help and gave me an accurate estimate of when someone would arrive. Mike came and solved the problem before lunchtime, explaining some things about the plumbing in my old house which will help me avoid the problem in future. I thought the price was fair, especially given that it was an emergency call. They will be my new go-to company for plumbing.

    Jason and Richie were out this week to install a new heater in my home in Manayunk. They showed up on time as planned, worked efficiently and did a great job The new heater looks awesome and we’re all set for cold weather. City Plumbing has been my only plumber for the past 7 years but since my old HVAC guy retired they are now my only call for heating and cooling as well. They are just a great organization. Super knowledgeable, fair prices and always on time.

    Honestly, Im impressed!My water heater started leaking, my first plumber charged me twice the price then City Plumbing. I was thinking that quality goes away with hlf of the price, but i was wrong! They contacted me the same day I called, clarified everything, contacted the company my heater was from ( it was on the warranty), got a person who re-evaluated the heater, and installed couple of days later! They were on time, professional, and called 15 minutes before arrival. Also, they registered a new heater with the company, so I dont have to do it!Definitely call them in case I need their service!Highly recommend, call them now!

    City Plumbing has been servicing our home since 2017. We have always found them to be reliable. Some of the work performed: We had them replace two existing drains and added a 3rd drain in our backyard which solved a rain water drainage issue. They have addressed 3 separate HVAC calls - most recently when the a/c went down, their technicians located a leak and had us back up and running quickly. They also upgraded our gas manifold by installing shut-off valves and labeling the lines for easy identification in the future. City Plumbing also services our business which has required snaking pipes to clear major clogs and replacing toilets. Keep up the Quality work!

    I have been using City Plumbing since they were referred by my realtor 7 years ago. They’ve come out in record time for multiple emergencies as well as giving me appointments in a few days and reasonable prices for regular plumbing work. This past week they really went above and beyond — the line between our main and our house broke and water was pouring into our basement. Even though our insurance assigned someone else to the job (Company 1), the owner was willing to advise me on what to do and what questions to ask. After Company 1 said it would take them 2-3 WEEKS to come fix it (which meant either gushing into the basement OR a water shutoff to the house for ant along of time) I pushed my insurance and had the job reassigned to City Plumbing. They had permits in hand and the work done in 3 days. Cannot thank them enough.

    Our basement had been flooding at a rapid pace since Saturday. the water department had been brushing us off every day, say it wasnt their problem while a bunch of other places were giving us wild quotes to only fix half the problem.Ryan and his crew were the only people in this whole process to be truly helpful and actually figure out what was going on with our basement.     City Plumbing did a great job with replacing my sewer line (including the lateral) due to it being broken in two spots, and causing water to back up into the basement. It only took about a week from their initial inspection until they could secure the permits and start the work. They had a decent sized crew (maybe 5-6 members?) and finished the job in one day.We had some crazy rain storms come in the day afterwards (a Saturday), which caused all of that dirt which was removed and replaced to compact down, and caused a bit of a rut in the street. I was surprised and impressed that they got a two man crew out within maybe an hour or so, to quick fill up the hole with *a lot* of extra stone, just in case it continued to rain.City Plumbing then passed on the concrete work to another company (whose name I didnt write down), but, their work was just as professional. City Plumbing even had one of my neighbors sidewalk blocks replaced because of a crack that occurred during the sewer line replacement.I am highly impressed with how City Plumbing operates and how reasonable their pricing was (compared to another larger, national company who quoted me at nearly twice the price), and would recommend them to anyone who is in need!UPDATE: I had City Plumbing out again in August of 2023, this time for a clogged kitchen sink (completely unrelated to the sewer replacement from 2020).Alex and Eddie called ahead to let me know they were on their way, and actually ended up being about 10 minutes earlier than my scheduled time frame (in a good way!)They were a cordial team who immediately went to work diagnosing my clogged drain. After several snakes (of varying lengths), and some plunging, they got my kitchen sink flowing again! All in about an hours worth of time.I was very pleased with the service and the reasonable pricing. Ill definitely use them again if I have any future plumbing needs.

    City Plumbing was wonderful. We had a gas leak issue that we had been dealing with for over a month. We had a few contractors come out and “fix” the leaks, but we kept smelling gas and suspected there were either more leaks, or the initial ones weren’t completely fixed. We ended up contacting City Plumbing, and they made more progress in just a few minutes at our house than what had been achieved in the entire month before! All the staff members that came by were very attentive and truly wanted to help. I highly recommended their service!

    I recently had this company replace my water heater and I would highly recommend them. First, I received a prompt estimate when requested, after the first rep (sorry, forgot his name, but he was on time and very nice) came to assess the problem, and was quickly able to set up an installation date. Then, both installers (two Kevins) arrived on time, were professional and friendly, and did a great job removing the old unit and installing the new one. (I should also note that, when I had requested it, the company nicely moved my installation to an earlier date when I expressed concern about the safety of my old unit.) All in all, I was very pleased with how City Plumbing does business and I will undoubtedly use them again (and Im in marketing).

    I emailed them on Sunday and got an immediate response. The receptionist got me an appointment for the following Monday. I received a call 8:07am Monday morning from Mike that he’d arrived in about 30 minutes and he in fact did. Mike came out, evaluated the issue and was very informative! I’m no plumber but his communication was so well I completely understood the issue. I got my toilet resealed and my flange replaced. I’m not sure of the price that you should pay for something like that but I was alright with the price. Honestly, the convenience, great professionalism, and the short time period it took to fix it was so worth it to me! He had everything he needed in his truck and was literally out in 2 hours, problem solved! I would highly recommend them, and if need be I will use them in the future.

    Our kitchen sink back up yesterday and we called City Plumbing. They took our info and within four hours we had an appointment. The service person called in advance to give us a 30 minute time frame of when he was to arrive. Came on time, wore a mask, and was professional in his work. In less than 30 minutes fixed our sink and shared good practices to avoid trouble in the future. His name was Alex and we were pleased with their service.

    City plumbing saved the day.Alex, who is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and friendly came to the rescue today to fix a clogged main sewer line at our home in South Kensington. The whole house was backed up starting on Christmas Eve. I tried calling around to several plumbing services in the city who would schedule me but never show up. Two days went by before I finally was put in contact with City Plumbing.     Ive been meaning to write this review for a while. City Plumbing was the subcontractor on a water & sewer line break my family got right after we moved into our new house last summer. They put in hours and hours of dirty extra work on a job Im sure they thought would last half a day. They were considerate, responsible and went the extra mile to make sure it was done right, coming back a second day and working late into the evening to close up the gaping hole they had to dig to complete all the repairs. Thanks, City! We still have great water pressure and a dry basement!

    Hire this company and tell them to send Joe R and Brendan. Literally the best in the business. Did awesome work and educated me on what he did. I had a gas leak from my hot water tank. Joe got here quickly and solved the problem. I honestly only felt safe with my property management hiring him due to other companies errors.

    Highly recommend City Plumbing! I had a nasty leak but was not sure exactly where it was coming from. Mike came out first thing in the morning and was able to pinpoint the leak.     I was recommended this heating and plumbing company by a very skilled electrician I had previously hired to do some rewiring. I worked with Ryan and CJ who installed an indirect water heater as a second zone on my high efficiency boiler.The install was quick and tidy. We ran in to a difficult problem of intermittent banging which presented itself after all of the work was paid for (I paid half up front and half upon completion). The problem was difficult to diagnose because it would only happen every hour of so. Ryan and CJ were extremely patient and diligent as they came out to my residence 5 or 6 times to try and remedy the install. After replacing each part and though discussions with the manufacturers, eliminated the boiler and the water tank as culprits and zeroed in on a pump with a broken check valve. The folks at city plumbing are consummate professionals. I gladly recommend their work and their ability to stand by it.
