Being a Veteran Myself, I really appreciate that most everyone with Reading and Sons Plumbing are Veterans as well. Brad came to Our home and was great!!! Very professional and explained absolutely everything He thought, and why it had to be that way. He answered every single question I had, and to be honest; I can be a nuisance at times as I will literally ask whatever pops in My head to cover whatever spectrum. Brad took it in stride and explained every little detail, including the quote price, and any additional fees such as: parts, labor costs and such…. My experience wasn’t like just getting a quote from a company to get work done…. The experience I had, was like having a Family Member in Our home and talking about how they could help Us correct the issues We were having. The quote price was shockingly far less than I ever expected, so I agreed to have the work done. And let Me tell You, I am so very happy that I did agree. Brad came back to do the work. He was on time, very prepared, and very efficient…. He then took Me and showed Me everything that He did and explained why he did it, reinforcing that initial feeling of being part of and helped by a Family. Was just so comforting in todays world.Brad showed a pride in His work, that is sadly very rare nowadays. I even threw an extra question about filtration for Our water in Our home, Brad took the time took explain what He thought was the best and most affordable option to help Our situation…. After His explanation, and seeing the work with the experience…. I asked if He could get it done ASAP, and sure enough… Brad was here and had it done within a couple of days literally from Our conversation. Was so nice to be assured that I made the right choice with Reading and Sons Plumbing, as I was skeptical in the beginning because We’ve never had a Plumber in Our home to have work done. But now, I proudly tell anyone that even mentions plumbing issues… that I am a Reading and Sons Family Member and confidently refer Reading and Sons to everyone including those I love, because I know they are in very good and capable hands of a Family of a Company that will make sure Your issues are fixed and fixed correctly, before they walk away. Just knowing that or even me feeling that, absolutely says a lot, with Me not being a very trusting person. Phone communication was very good. The plumber who arrived was personable and worked as quickly as one could expect. The job required a run to a plumbing supply house to pick up an unusual part for an older style faucet. The total bill (time and materials) came in about what I would expect for the work involved.Since my previous plumbers shop became unreliable, Ive been trying to find another good one. I will return to Reading without hesitation.

I feel like every time you have a plumbing need you Google plumbers and choose the first one you see or ask for recommendations on FB. At least thats what weve always done. After using Reading & Son two times, we will always use them from now on. Bob and Colin were at my home a couple of weeks ago. They were friendly, courteous and respectful. Bob is so nice, even offering me advice on our problem and how to avoid having them come out so often to fix it. This is the second time Bob has been here and he was just as friendly the last time. I also like how the company tries to send the same person each time. You get to know them and they you. I also think they are affordable. I dont think youll be disappointed if you choose Reading & Son.

Reading Plbg. showed up at the beginning of the time window they had given me. I needed to have my main shutoff valve to the house replaced since the supply line before the shutoff was leaking. Noah looked at the problem, got the tools and parts he needed from his service truck, and very quickly replaced my old gate valve with a new ball valve. He made sure Id taken off all my faucet aerators before he turned the water back on and bled the lines. The job was done promptly and professionally and with a smile. Reading was very well represented by Noah.

I needed an old leaking hot water heater replaced that crapped out on me. I called it in on Sunday through AWR who contracted the job to Reading & Son. There was great communication and I was told they would be there at 2 on Monday to replace it. Tony was able to come 2 hours early and get me up and running with the new hot water heater. Very friendly and explained everything to me when he was finished. I also had a couple question for the office people, laurie and Amy and they were very helpful and friendly.I would not have known of Reading & Son before my hot water heater failed and Im sure glad I know of them now. The estimate seemed high, so I called Reading & Son Plumbing, Inc., to get a second opinion. Reading & Son Plumbing, Inc., gave me a rough cost estimate over the phone, and I hired them. They replaced my sump pump in February 2024, and the total cost came to less than half of what the first company planned to charge. Im very happy with the result.

My wife and I were having trouble with a newly installed shower; when it was on full hot, the water was lukewarm at best. Adam came over and he was able to tweak the valve enough to get the temperature to an acceptable level. Several weeks later, it appeared that our daughters condo was suffering from the same situation. Again, Adam was able to adjust the temperature on a water heater that was almost inaccessible behind a water softener and tweak the valve in the shower. It was a tremendous relief to be able to have hot water available for my daughters and for us. I would use Reading & Son in a heartbeat, and would recommend them to anyone seeking a quality plumber.

I scheduled an appointment a few days out.Some comments said people were not notified of their appointments canceled- I called on the minute and they let me know if they were enroute or not. They were very professional and I will be calling them back for future jobs.(Bob & Alan or Asan sorry- you have plumber hand writing :D )They pulled out two balls my child put down our shower drain that made it all the way to the floor drain.Although Arnold and Sons claims to be the best. They don’t have **** on Reading and Sons. This company really cares about getting the job done in a short amount of time without screwing it’s customers out of money. This is a great company.One thing I see people complain about it the mess. Honestly- your house your problem. They kept the mess contained enough for me to do a less than 1 minute mop.Trust me- if there is a mess- your going to want to clean it yourself to ensure it’s clean. It’s sewage. Needs a good clean afterwards anyway.This company met and exceeded my expectations and did a wonderful job. I will be using them in the future.

Reading & Son Plumbing is absolutely the best - they are the only plumber I have used for years.They are realiable, thoughtful, friendly, and truly know their stuff. And, they just want to make sure you have the best day possible. The only reason they are ever at my house is to fix things that were done improperly by another plumber before we ever owned the house. I recently had Reading & Son replace our old water softening system. They had the old system out and replaced and replumbed with a new, substantially better system in under two hours. I was expecting a days worth of work. Tony is truly The Man, and, I might add, a Zen Master of not only plumbing, but pets. My dogs bark constantly, but 30 seconds with Tony and they were super chill and relaxed the rest of the day. Reading & Son is the only plumber - and, presumably, pet sitter - youll ever need.

So I had a issue with my tub not draining. I called them explained the situation and they sent a team over within the next day. They were outfitted with a rooter and unclogging gear. After attempting it was decided best to use the other team which does all the plumbing. They sent them out within the next couple days and all I can say is wow! This gentleman was older and worked harder than most people I know. We had to cut open a pipe to root it out and it wasn’t easy. Years and years of buildup and after working nonstop for hours he had it buttoned up at back to draining like new. When I got my bill I was also surprised. I don’t mind paying for a professional service and the price was more than fair. I had services done from other companies who did less and paid 3 times as much! I highly recommend this company.
