    The first plumber that I contacted was not available to fix the leaking water heater but he recommended that I contacted Tom Smith. He was able to get to get the new water heater installed and actually charged less than his original estimate. I would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him.

    Weve used Tom Smith Plumbing for several jobs now in a 120 year-old house we are renovating and their service has been consistently excellent. Starting with the owner, Tom, all of their several employees weve dealt with have been courteous, professional, competent and responsive to our various needs and plumbing challenges. Their pricing is fair and predictable, no surprises. Were very glad to be their customer after bad experiences with several other companies in the Peoria area.

    I had no water due to Illinois Water repairing a pipe. Illinois Water called Tom Smith and they called that night and rearranged their schedule to come out the next day. Derek was my plumber and checked all my faucets and fixed the problem. Very friendly and professional. Answered all my questions and put in new faucet and cartridges for my shower. Would definitely recommend them . Quick and great customer service.

    Hands down the best plumbing company!! They are very helpful and are reasonably priced and also very very kind. They are honest and didn’t drain our bank account, which is always a plus! I trust these guys with ALL of our plumbing needs.

    I had to have work done to my bathtub, was leaking downstairs, they came out did the job decent price. $290. It leaked afterwards they came out and leak was not detected, didn’t charge me to follow up, well low and behold still leaked. Called them back they were prompt, professional, and kind, long story short 2.5 hours later and all work and parts, no charge. I am sure this doesn’t happen often that they had to do more work but my property was built in the 1950’ and they were awesome and made me feel completely comfortable. Great company would recommend to anyone thank you!

    Weve had them come out twice in the last couple weeks for leaks in the copper pipes in the basement. They came at 430 on Fridayto make sure I had water for the weekend and didnt charge me after hours or anything like that. They are always reliable and prices are very fair compared to some others in the Peoria area. Cant say enough great things about this company

    Tom Smith Plumbing came through in a big way yesterday when we needed it most. I called the company at 8 a.m., and Rob Smith sent a nice and talented technician named Justin to our house just one hour later. He spent the day with us draining the water heater, unclogging lines, and replacing toilet parts caused by an old water softener implosion. It was an epic mess, and he didnt stop until the work was done. In fact, Tom Smith himself came out to drop off parts so Justin could keep working. I cannot thank him, Tom Smith, and Rob Smith enough for a job well done. I highly recommend this fine company.

    Called them and they were here within a couple of hours. Told us over the phone how to decrease the leak until they could arrive to assess/fix. Reasonable price, friendly, and all of this done within a couple of hours of my initial phone call…also, the day before a major holiday…and 30+ miles away from their main location. So thankful and would recommend them anytime!

    Great company. Im not sure about others negative experiences, but our was great. I called and it was only one out of 8 other companies we called that they answered the phone. We had two issues with a new home we bought, the tank less water heater wasnt working and our sump pumped died the same day. They were up front with me and said we dont work on the unit you have, but if you are willing to pay the service my tech can come and see what he can do. I figured that was fair enough. He came out and had it up an running in less than 5 minutes. Since we paid for the hour he cleaned up the unit and made sure everything was in good shape. For that reason we asked about the sump pump. He looked at it can gave us a quote. We thought it was a bit high so we called around. Those we could get hold of said that the price we got was in the same ball park that they would quote. One of their competitors said the same thing and even said that Tom Smith Plumbing is a good and fair company. Today they came out at the time they said they would be there. The tech had the job done quicker than he quoted and even charged less because of the time he spent. He walked me through what he said, and what to keep an eye on to make sure the back up pump is always in good working order. The job was clean, neat and perfect. When done, where the sump pump is, looks better than what was there. Very very pleased with their service and the Tech who came out. Very polite, and hard working. I wouldnt hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

    Had a leaking toilet that we discovered on a Friday morning about 10 AM. I called Tom Smith and they said they would do their best to get me in but might not be able to get there that day. They had a cancellation and had someone there to fix the issue within the hour. It turned out to be a sewer line issue. They were able to fix it that day with no hassle. They did a 5 star job on a moments notice.

    I cant speak for all these other comments but my experience was amazing. When we had the big freeze my bathrooms pipes froze and I called them. They got me in faster than Id expected and they went strait to work under crawl space of my home. Its extremely cramped down there and the snow was high. But the gentleman went to work quickly. It was back up and running within half hour. He then gave me some helpful hints and advice for the upcoming year so I wouldnt have this incident happen again. I was terrified of being charged an amount I couldnt afford... The bill was extremely fair. I have recommended these guys to several people since then. Thank you!

    Installed a custom modular shower in my moms house. She is a senior and has special needs. The estimate was spot on, the timeline was spot on, and they communicated with me when they ran into unexpected problems. Great company to do business with!!!     This was the third non-union plumbing company I had called by word of mouth. There was a minimum 3 day wait, for service, but Smith plumbing agreed to send someone out to my flooded basement. Trevor called me and arrived with in a few minutes. He was polite, knowledgeable and had the problem addressed and fixed within the hour.

    I had more or less what I thought was a problem that needed to be repaired My garbage disposal was broken wouldnt work anymore and it was backing into my dishwasher and was causing problems with my dishes So I called them up and they didnt said they couldnt be out because of the holiday weekend and the wouldnt be able to get there until Monday or Tuesday and I guess I made it sound urgent enough they actually came out that day brought their garbage disposal with them and took care of my problem had no problems with the service man who came out he performed a little extra work under my sink with the faucet that was loose they are an excellent company and Id recommend them highly to anybody who needs a good plumber
