We recently had a problem with our old HVAC unit. We called Lee (after having problems with another large HVAC company).Lee scheduled an appointment at our convenience; we were then notified that their technician Mark was on the way; he arrived on time, was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional.After he evaluated our old unit we had a lengthy & informative discussion of the issues & options (including costs) and we jointly decided to replace the old unit.Again, Lee scheduled the replacement at our convenience; they notified us when the team was on the way; and the team showed up on time & as promised.The work was done quickly & efficiently with no mess or fuss.We had one small issue with the thermostat about 2 weeks after the install. We called Lee and again, Mark was out the next day and quickly diagnosed the issue.Lee scheduled a repair tech the very next day and we were again notified by them (including photo ID) that the tech, Royal, was on his way.Royal made the repair, informed of what he had done, and left me contact information not only for Lee but also how to request him for any future issues if needed. He was terrific as the entire Lee team has been!We have been completely satisfied with Lee and recommend them highly if you need any air-conditioning or heating services from evaluation, to repair, or replacement.

I recently had a service tech. , Dustin Hotaling, from Lee Air Conditioning, in to clean the evaporator coil. He called ahead, was prompt. He was very informative and clearly explained what he would be doing.He was professional, careful of and respectful of his surrounding area. He didnt just wait for the coil to dry, he checked the ductwork for leaks and resealed 2 places. He went out to check the outside unit as well. He noticed some weeds that may have blocked the airflow and pulled them out.These things show evidence of the high caliber of technician and person he is. Excellent! Awesome! Outstanding!I could have left my review with just those three words, but I felt a need to elaborate. A few months back we received a card in the mail from Lee Heating & Cooling that advertised checking our A/C and providing preventative maintenance. We never used them before. We live in Florida, and it was the beginning of summer, and we expected temperatures above average, so my wife scheduled them to check it out.The technician came to our door with a friendly smile and a handshake. That gentleman isn’t there anymore so there’s no need to name him. Anyway, long story short, our A/C was over 30-years old, and it generated so much condensation that black mold began growing all over the exterior. A definite sign that it was time to remove it. As such, the technician was so eager for the business and made the process of buying a new A/C so easy and trouble free that I inclined to take him up on the offer, so I did.The same day and a few hours later as promised, a van pulled up with a new A/C unit and huge outside condenser. Within roughly 5 to 7 hours, it was installed. I’d love to credit all the technicians involved, but it was a few months back and the people I interacted with are a jumble. If I get this wrong, my apologies. Dustin Hotaling and Christopher Rice played a part in making sure the installation was done right. But this isn’t the end of the story.Now August, my damn 30+ year old water heater began leaking all over my garage. I considered this event a catastrophic failure. My solution—well—of course, I called Lee Heating and Cooling. Again, superb customer service. The same day, the technician Blake Gillis shows up with a friendly smile and a handshake as all the employees from Lee H/C seem to do. He assessed the state of my water heater as cataclysmic as I previously surmised. Me being me, well, yeah, you guessed it. A few hours later the same technician Dustin Hotaling (fantastic individual) that previously installed my A/C pulled up with his van and installed my new water heater. Within a few hours, we had hot water again.I can’t stress enough how reliable and efficient Lee Heating and Cooling is. It’s my opinion that they’ve instituted some ingrained philosophy at the core of their business to provide the best customer service possible. It makes them stand apart from the others and encourages customers to return (as I did). Every employee I’ve interacted with has been topnotch professional and friendly to the point that you’d want to invite them to dinner.That’s not to say I haven’t had problems since the installation. Two minor issues seem to be recurring. First, the new A/C unit is working so efficiently that my condensation line keeps clogging (I’ve had to clean it out every two weeks or so because my thermostat keeps shutting off). After a service call to help with the issue, Raymond Hoffman (great guy) shows up, clears the line, and explains what I need to do the next time it happens.Then recently the digital thermostat (sorry, but I don’t like the thermostat I’m stuck with) began acting bonkers and we went the whole weekend without A/C as I tried to figure it out. I failed at my task and yes, Monday, another service call. A technician named Trevor Reed shows up after hours due to when I called. With a broad friendly smile and a brotherly demeanor, he was eager to fix my problem and spent time making sure the thermostat reset resolved the issue. During his stay, he did an analysis of my attic and figured out that my vents weren’t properly sealed, thus the reason my attic was always chilly. That’s a project for Lee’s Heating & Cooling to fix at a future date.This is my review and my experience.Thank you, Lee H/CSteven Morgan

Dont use this company unless you like high prices and unethical practices. Quote for labor to replace leaking part + freon was over $2,000. We declined service but were charged over $900 for 5 lbs. of freon which had already been put in. It leaked out in just a couple of hours! The serviceman had implied it would last overnight until he could return with the new part. What a ripoff! We called Boutwells and they completed the job (without having to replace a part) within a few hours and about half the cost..

This company went the extra mile for us! We needed a condenser fan motor and since our unit was under warranty they needed to get the motor from the distributor. The ETA on the part was one week, and considering how hot it gets in Pensacola that did not sound fun. However they had someone drive to the distributor to get the motor and installed it on a weekend which they don’t normally do. We only spent around 48 hours without our AC, which could have been over a week. We were highly satisfied with our technician Dale, and with Lee Heating and cooling for resolving our issue.

Lee Heating and Cooling was the option we settled on because of the affordable service fee. We were very fortunate to have Benjamin Lawhorn as our technical expert. He was a fantastic representative of the company, and it was refreshing to have someone so knowledgeable and helpful. He helped put our nerves at ease by quickly fixing the issue and educating us on how to properly care for our unit moving forward. He was very personable and professional. While we initially chose Lee heating and cooling for their affordability, it is exemplary technicians like Mr. Lawhorn that keep lifelong customers. We will definitely be referring Lee Heating and Cooling to our military community because of Mr. Lawhorns excellent customer service.

The work was way more than I expected for the money. Ben not only checked the furnace and AC systems out, and spoke with me about the condition, He cleaned the old systems inside and out and applied a coat of wax. They look brand new. My homes central AC finally gave out in an almost-catastrphic way. My wife and I could smell something electrical burning and we finally figured out it was the air handler. We gave Lee Heating & Cooling a call and they had Mr. Cason Moore come out within 3 hours of our initial call. We also called our home warranty company, which did not pick up and was still unresponsive the day after the event. Cason was a consummate professional throughout this process and diagnosed the problem immediately. Articulate and direct, he explained the nature of several failing components, as well as identified a significant fire hazard, which precipitated this entire event. He laid out a series of solutions for us and we opted to have Lee Heating & Cooling install a new AC unit both inside and out. The Lee Guarantee is head and shoulders above any other I have seen to date, which is why we opted to drop our home warranty. Cason left a mobile AC unit for us at no additional cost while we waited 24 hours to have a new unit installed.Denver and Vincent came the next day and installed our new unit. Driven professionals, they both worked tirelessly to complete the work that same day. Our house was back to normal within 48 hours of a near-catastrophic failure of our old unit. A home warranty company will never be able to match what Lee can do. As a veteran-owned business by a former Marine comprised of technically savvy professionals, I trust these gentlemen to service our homes heating and cooling needs indefinitely.

Blake Gillis is the most knowledgeable technician I have seen in Pensacola. He is able to work on my HVAC and whole house generator as well as the tankless water heater. Additionally, he visited me to fill out the extended warranty for my new HVAC. It got complicated as I’d frozen my credit and the credit unions were available. He was calm and friendly thiroughout. He always puts on booties before entering my home, even before I ask, too. All in all, I’d say he’s an excellent representative for Lee H&AC.

We needed to replace two large electric water heaters in our home. In looking around at options to find a tankless gas water heater, we came across Lee Heating & Cooling through Home Depot.A company representative came by the house, looked at the plumbing arrangement for the house, and provided a quote for making changes to the plumbing and installing a Navien tankless water heater to replace the two electric water heaters that were now about 15 years old.The company was very good about letting us know who was coming to install the new product, when they were leaving and even included photos of the people.The job took most of a day to complete. They did a good job and explained what they were doing. They also made sure the system was up and running.Several days later, we noticed the water heater was cutting out. A representative from Okaloosa Gas company came by and checked and system and said that the pressure was too high for the water heater and that we needed to have a regulator installed. He had a regulator and a representative from Lee Heating and Cooling came back to install the regulator. That resolved the problem.After using the water heater for a few months, we concluded we were wasting too much water waiting for the hot water to reach parts of the house where water usage was high. I called the company and Daniel Peacock, a senior plumber came to the house to see how to resolve the problem.He had considerable experience with these systems. He recommended installing a NaviCirc pumps in the kitchen and the bathroom. The Navien system uses computer chips to monitor hot water usage. After a few days, the system has the ability to send hot water to these locations with the pumps as the system learned our schedules and hot water consumption. The pumps also keep the water warmer throughout the day by re-routing the warmer water to the water heater instead of disposing of it.Danial returned the following week with two NaviCirc pumps and installed them in a short time.Having used the pumps for about a week now, our water usage is down and the convenience of hot water being delivered to the sink and the shower at the times we use them the most has been very convenient and more pleasant than waiting for several minutes for the water to turn hot.

The technician, Royal, called me and knew what was wrong prior to arriving. He advised that he would go get a part and would be right over. Had he not grabbed the part prior to coming over, it would have taken another 2 hours due to transit time and repair time. Royal was prompt, courteous, and professional throughout the service call. We took advantage of a service flyer received by mail, and it was a good decision. Mr. Ben Lawhorn was our technician and before he even asked where our HVAC was, he took the time to introduce himself and explain the rundown of what he was going to do during his visit. After a visual inspection of the system, he asked a number of questions (some I couldn’t answer lol) to get a better idea of our usage and what we need. He asked about air flow and if we had any rooms that seem warmer than the rest of the house. After a brief discussion, he mentioned our filters. Although they are very good, he suggested they might actually be hindering some air flow, and that we might want to consider a change to see if that makes an improvement. This is just one example.I signed up for a maintenance plan that day. Yes it’s a good idea to have regular HVAC maintenance, especially living in the extreme elements of Florida, but his professionalism, expertise and courteous demeanor made it easy to see we are in good hands.Also, he wore shoe protectors, and that made this lady very happy.Definitely recommend!

We had a dated R22 system and underrated (3.0 Ton) that the previous owner had installed by another company (to be fair, Im not naming names). Lee installed a new Rheem 3.5 Ton (R-410A) and the entire experience was outstanding. From the service call by Mark, to the estimate, installation (Chad and Derrick), and follow-up (Susan and JP), the service and installation was incredible. They protected our wooden floors with drop clothes and rather than just drop in a new HVAC system, collect a check and haul off, Lee (Chad and Derrick) recognized that we needed an overhaul and completely renovated the air handler closet, removing the old deck, balls of foam sealant, a rats nest of wires and overall mess from years of service by other companies. They completely insulated the return air box (sides and bottom), removed the old copper lines, the conductor, and the pvc drain pipe. All of the junk was removed and new everything was installed. The compressor was installed and anchored on a hurricane-rated pad and everything (copper lines, pvc, drain, etc.) dressed-off with tie wraps and tape during installation. The outside electrical disconnect was replaced. Inside, the closet was taped in the seams and the plenum correctly replaced. The mastic (white goop) was a work of art and they sealed everything tightly. Additionally, they sealed the plenum from the inside and the appearance is outstanding (doesnt look like finger painting). They replaced the grills (x2) and caulked all around them. The brazing was done using nitrogen and they vacuumed out the line thoroughly (I read about this and asked them). They thoroughly cleaned-up and all total, Chad and Derrick were onsite for 8 hours to complete the project. As the expression goes, you get what you pay for and with Lee, although you will pay more compared to others, you will receive superior service and they will do the job (service, repairs, replacement) correctly with a high emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction. The owner is prior military (USMC) and they also hire veterans (Derrick is USA). Without reservation, they exceeded our expectations and we will continue to use them in the future for service.

A complete AC system install by the he team of Chad and James.Excellent workmanship and very professional. Organized setup and staging, teardown, and buildup. They worked at a consistent well paced rhythm basically non-stop. Started: On-Time. They removed the old system (totally removed every part, tubes, seals, old mastic) and replaced the shelf that the air handler sits on, insulated, sealed, and installed new vents, air handler, condenser/pad, thermostat, every circuit breaker, service connections, new tubing/wiring... They used a level on every component while installing. Nothing is crooked or canted. Photos taken at the major steps for Quality Assurance reasons. The clean up was complete, total, vacuumed cleaned at every stage of the operation and removed every piece of material and took it with them. Ive had AC systems rem/rep before from other companies in the past. Never at this level of quality and service. Excellent service is an understatement. Lee Heating and Cooling came through. I thought it was a little pricey at first. Well. You get what you pay for. This was money well spent and with no regrets. Thanks again to Chad and James!

The purpose of this appointment was an AC system inspection. Clark showed on time and was very professional throughout his visit. During his inspection he noted areas of concern as well as areas without issue. He did not try to sell me anything I did not need. He was very thorough with his explanations. Overall, Clark is a very charismatic individual who provided superior quality customer service.

Lee HVAC and specifically Clark Stewart are incredible. We had an issue where both the inside and outside units froze solid, and the system is only four months old. Clarks knowledge and tenacity to find the cause was admirable. He promised that our unit would be working today even if he had to stay all day. Luckily for us it only took four hours or so and our house was cooling again. Many thanks to the crew at their office for rescheduling our appointment to a day earlier, and in the morning instead of late afternoon. I cannot say enough good about Clark - great worker and a great person all around!

Bob was very professional and courteous. He took care of my current unit and let me know what needed to be done in the future. He was very thorough in his explanation of what I need. He offered me a couple of options on financing available on a new AC unit and also explained everything that would be done when they come back to clean all of duct work.
