We had been having trouble with a toilet that wouldnt stop running, along with other issues with the chain and seal. I called Hosack and was able to get an appointment for the next day. They were very timely and professional. Jason was able to evaluate the situation quickly and after a transparent review of our options, we decided to get a new toilet installed. Jason was able to go pick up the new toilet, install it, and dispose of our old one within two hours of his arrival. He was very courteous and efficient, and we are very happy with the final result. I got lucky. I was in need of a plumber and after reading the reviews I decided to go with Hosack Plumbing. This company did not fail. This company has excellent customer service. I am praising the short appointment time. My situation was assessed over the phone and it was decided I need someone to come as soon as possible. Jason came and I can without a doubt rate him higher than a 5. He quickly assessed the problem with my water heater. He explained in detail the problem, how he could fix it and the cost, while doing so in as professional as well as polite way. The pricing was fair. I agreed for him to do the work. Should I require any other service I will specifically ask for Jason.

I noticed a puddle underneath my water heater when I went down in the rough basement this morning to retrieve some frozen goods and did a quick Google search. Hosack came back as a highly reviewed local plumbing service so I gave them a call. Turns out they had an appointment ready just a few hours later in the afternoon, so I took it.Dan showed up promptly, went down and looked at it and told me, Sir, you have a 10 year old, good brand water heater. I expect it to last at least another decade. Its just that your expansion tank and blow off valve assembly has failed, leading to excessive water coming out of the copper downspout. I have the parts in my truck and can fix it within an hour.An hour later, the water heater was back in operation, everything good to go and I now have a company on speed dial for 5 to 10 years now when my water heater does go out and I need it replaced!Dan was terrific, knowledgeable, took a look at a couple of other plumbing questions I had and as it turns out was a former army mechanic just like those of us in the unit I deployed to Baghdad with decades ago. Great guy!The work was prompt, professional, wonderfully done and reasonably priced. Give Hosack a call the next time you have a plumbing need!

Kent was quick - figured out issue and installed new shower head. Pleasant to talk to. We always use Hosack for our plumbing needs.12-12-24: Called Hosack to check out pipes at kitchen sink for clogging issues. Allen came and said everything looked good and he showed me a trick for checking in the future if the pipes were clogged or not. I had him go to the basement to check out the inline filtration unit Hosack installed in 2019. He found some very corroded fittings. After that we check my water heater and found an expansion tank that was not installed per code and a water heater tank very full of calcium deposits with corrosion at very fittings. I approved a new water heater that is a much better USA built unit - not like the cheap unit the builder installed. Allen called in Bill and then Dan later so the job could be completed by the end of the day. All three of them did a super job of getting two water heaters through my house with no damage - even cleaning up what water leaked from the old unit. I like this company so much a signed up for their membership program, which saved me money on todays work and will have them coming out once a year to flush the new water heater. Of the photos attached the first two show the completed work - the third photo shows the old water heater with the poorly installed expansion tank. I highly recommended all three of these gentlemen and wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

Called Hosack due to a large amount of water that had collected under our kitchen sink. We also noticed a leak from the faucet into our sink.Our technician Dan was very thorough with his inspection and found no pipe leaks under the sink, and noted that the size of the leak on the faucet would not cause that much water. He did state that the recent unusually heavy rain in our area may have leaked in through our roof or possibly siding and worked its way under our sink.He also proceeded to advise us to call Moen about our faucet since the have lifetime warranties on their products. This would save us hundreds of dollars in repair costs.Dan, or Hosack in general, have never tried to up sell us on anything, does what we need done for a fair price, and stands by their work.Great job as always. Have used them now for around 10 years and will continue on into the future.

2024 - Best service. Dan was dispatched to my home to help resolve low hot water pressure after I installed a water heater. He was methodical in his troubleshooting and thorough in his work. Before SC Hosack Plumbing the previous plumber I used wanted to replace all the pipes instead of replacing an obviously bad dielectric union. Very pleased with Hosack Plumbing! We recently had very low water pressure, our water softener had been broken for some time, and we had some leaky fixtures. We had just let random plumbing issues build up around our home, and finally decided to call someone for help. The company was responsive and had someone on the calendar for us in short order. Allen came and was quick to assess various issues and offer up some solutions. Within a couple of days, he made the necessary repairs, hauled away the old softener and added a NaturalSof, salt free alternative, a whole house water filter, and a new PRV. Everything is now working as good or better than ever! His work was thorough and clean, and he was very responsive to questions and a pleasure to deal with. I decided to try SC Hosack and let me tell you how that was the best decision Ive made for my plumbing issues. From the beginning, when I text them, they made it so simple and easy to address my needs and schedule my appointment for the following day. Dennis from SC Hosack arrived early in uniform and in a company van which put me at ease. He was so polite and knowledgeable I was so impressed!!! He could have easily agreed with me to replace a value that was working but he didnt. That saved me money big tine. Dennis fixed my other shut off value to the dishwasher and replaced another value free of charge so that everything under my sink was streamlined. He cleaned up when he was done and answered my questions! Im telling you, even my dad asked for his business card thats how great if a job he did!!! Its very important that contractors dont leave a mess as most do but not Dennis. If I could give 10 STARS I WOULD! I cant tell you how relieved I am and so HAPPY I chose them!! Truly exceptional!! I had a leaking shower valve that needed replacing. I was referred to Hosack Plumbing through an online service called Porch. Within 48 hours, I was put in touch with Hosack and had an appointment scheduled. I knew the minute that Allen & Jason arrived that I was going to happy with their work. They presented themselves as professionals and demonstrated respect for my and my family. As the work began, they discovered some items that I might want to consider having done, such as a pressure relief valve which is now required by code. I opted to have that work done as well as the installation of a ball valve to make turning the main water on/off much easier. Later in the day, I asked them for their advice regarding an issue I was having with the shower/tub in the master bath. I told them that previous plumbers told me the entire wall would have to be removed to gain access to the piping. They told me that simply wasnt true. They explained exactly what they could do to remedy the issue. Prior to installation, they provided estimates for my consideration before proceeding. Needless to say, I was thrilled at the opportunity to resolve a long standing issue. I cannot adequately express my appreciation to Allen & Jason for their outstanding job they did. Was it expensive? You bet, but not unreasonable, particularly in view of the 1 year warranty provided on parts & labor. I need to stress one point...Im sure that some of those reading this review will assume that I got a lot of upselling pushed on me. That is simply not true. There was absolutely no upselling to any extent. I highly recommend Hosack Plumbing. I can assure you that they will be returning to take care of additional work that will most assuredly be required in the future....thanks Allen & Jason.....great job!

Glen and his apprentice did a great job on my tub drain replacement - they replaced the piping, the drain plug, and the overflow plate which took care of a long slow drain. They did this repair at a flat rate (common repair) so I knew the cost before they began which was comforting. Hosack was able to get my repair done the same day I called and even available before my scheduled appointment time so they called me to ask if they could begin the job early. This was the first time I used Hosack for a repair but based on this experience it will certainly not be the last.

I love Scott. Ive owned my home 20 years and have been through a few plumbers for various reasons. Scott always does a great job at the price promised. Ive had the toilet in the master bathroom reseated a couple times before he did he did it and it was never quite right. Now it seems to be perfect. I will always call Hosack for my plumbing needs. Im glad I found them!

From now on Im only calling Hosack Plumbing! I needed a shower valve replaced and Glen went over and beyond to help me. He was amazing! Dont waste your time calling other plumbing companies in the area. I contacted two other local plumbing companies before Hosack. Both charged me diagnostic fees and then did little to help. I will only use Hosack Plumbing going forward based on my experience with Glen!

I could not recommend Hosack plumbing more. When we were bidding out the plumbing for our basement bathroom remodel the first 3 plumbing companies all said we were going to have major issues running our vent pipe up and connecting to the main vent, and all of the others said if the plumbing underneath was not a certain way, they would have to tie in to the main line, which would have required a major demo of flooring we just laid in our basement and an intrusive demo of our living room wall to run the vent pipe. Hosack was the only company that said none of that would be necessary in the basement, and they creatively found a way to run the vent pipe up through a hall closet, where we would never even notice it. One would think that a company that took the time to provide such a high level of detail would be the most expensive, right? Wrong! Hosacks bid came in much lower than anyone else. In one case, it was almost 2000 less. Hosack had their crew out at our house exactly when they said they would be there and they worked quickly and in a very professional manner. The workers were very nice and extremely courteous. The owner, Steve, made himself available for questions any time they came up through the process. I will use them for all my future needs without hesitation. Im so glad I found this company.

Excellent Service! Hosack replaced our water heater with a tankless unit while adding an enhancement to our kitchen sink to pull hot water to location faster. They also helped us through the $300 Rebate process with Spire to help pay for the equipment plus installation. We would definitely recommend them for all plumbing needs and would certainly use them again should the need arise.

Scott and his apprentice Jacob, came out early and knocked out two new anti-frost outdoor faucets for me on my house yesterday. They were done in less than 2 hours. They explained their work, and even gave me some extra advice regarding insulation. Price was affordable for the work that was done, and they stuck to the estimate price given. Its so nice to have faucets that do not leak while they are on now. Thanks for the great work guys. I will definitely be calling Hosack for any future work.

There were a couple of hiccups due to the age of my house (100-year-old basement does not have an ideal setup for today’s standard water heaters), but Scott kept me informed of any concerns/issues, and everything turned out great. I had a slow drip develop in my master bath tub spout. Not being one to let things go, I reached out to Hosack and they set an appt for a week away. It was not an emergency so no big deal. In the meantime, I reached out to another company, Plumbing Experts, who was able to send a person out same day. I thought if this was a simple fix, why not? The guy shows up and reviews the situation and gives some alternatives, one of which could be coming through the exterior brick wall of my house. I thought I would wait a week at that point. BUT, I chose to take a photo of the fixture and send it to Hosack Plumbing and tell them what the other guy said. I received a reply from the owner, quite frankly, indicating, my words, that is absurd. He came over today and it was a challenge, but he knew what he needed to do. The price was fair for what he had to do.His workmanship and professionalism at his trade are TOP QUALITY in every way. Since 2016, this is the 7th time I have used Hosack Plumbing for various upgrades, (Toilets, Water Heater, Faucets). There is a reason they are booked up. Steve Hosack is also an honorable guy. I would highly recommend his company.
