We had the pleasure of working with Commonwealth Exterminating Company at our home yesterday and we couldn’t be more pleased! From first contact on the phone they were polite, knowledgeable and went out of their way to help us immediately. We had a decade long relationship with another local exterminator and when we discovered we had a large group of hornets that had taken up residence underground right next to our pool. When I contacted the other company they were not able to get us on their schedule for over three weeks. As you can imagine, in the middle of summer, with kids in the house, during a quarantine, not having use of the pool because of inch and a half long hornets is a pretty big issue! Well, Commonwealth to the rescue! I reached out to them and they had me on the schedule within a matter of days. Their technician Chris was courteous, professional, friendly, masked and gloved the entire visit (both inside and outside while he was here for our safety and his), and their pricing was incredibly fair. We will now be switching our semi-annual service to Commonwealth and I hope to bring them more business through my employers. Thank you, Cory and the team at Commonwealth for making it safe for my family and puppies to enjoy our backyard again, since it’s not safe to go anywhere else right now. We appreciate you all so much!

I have worked with Cory and his team of professionals for at least 5 years. There is no bug or challenge they will not undertake. Their prices are reasonable. And Cory is just a well rounded good soul. He is also an ordained minister in the state of Virginia and we ran back into each other on the Beach of Sand Bridge in VA for on of my Best Friends, Daughters weddings. I think that was the most awesome service I have ever attended! He is also getting ready to join the Air Force as a Chaplain for them (I hope I got that right). It breaks my heart that ANYONE WOULD POST A NASTY REVIEW ABOUT THIS COMPANY OR THE OWNER!!!! I challenge you to contact me if you have a problem. I will always support you! Thanks for your Service. I am an agent at Greg Garrett Realty and Commonwealth has been my go to termite/moisture company since the beginning of my career. They do excellent work and I have been very satisfied whenever I have used them. They are the first company I call.There was one particular time when I was especially glad that I used Commonwealth. A seller had an old house where we noticed signs of potential foundation problems by sloped flooring. I got the standard home inspection and a termite/moisture inspection. I also got a foundation inspection.The sellers wanted me to use their termite and moisture company that they had the property under warranty with, but I advised the buyer I was representing to insist that we get our own inspection with our own termite/moisture company.It was an older house that had settled and the inspectors had difficulty getting into the crawl space. Out of the 3 inspectors, the only one who said that he was willing to dig in order to get into the crawl space was Chris Seek with Commonwealth. Chris and I cleared away some rocks and he was able to get into the crawl space.What he found was 10s of thousands of dollars worth of damage to the foundation. The termite company that had this house under warranty refused to acknowledge that there was a problem (they probably never crawled underneath the house!). We were able to get out of the contract on the house that otherwise would have seemed to be a good deal. Someone else bought the house and to our knowledge, those major foundation issues with visible evidence through sloped flooring and plenty of evidence underneath the house have never been resolved to this day. After that, we found another older home in a historic district. While it didnt have nearly the sloping of the first home, Commonwealth did find that it needed a lot of work in its foundation as well. This time, the seller was willing to do the work, and the buyer I was working with not only had the problem resolved but got new flooring as a result throughout most of the 1st floor of their house at no added cost to the buyer!When I bought my own house, Commonwealth didnt find anything wrong with it, and I was glad to know that if something could have been found, they would be much more likely to find it and thoroughly resolve it than many other termite/moisture companies.

I have been a customer of Commonwealth Exterminating for about 5 years now. I have them perform both my yearly termite inspection as well as quarterly pest service. This organization has consistently given great customer service at a fair price. They show up on time and are easy to schedule with every time I call.
