    Update: we received prompt communication from Mr. Rooter who sent someone out to assess our leak and scheduled service for the following day before we went out of town. Both Zach and Kyle were punctual, friendly and made sure we were satisfied before heading out. Kyle even replaced our fill valve at no additional cost after hearing it was taking unusually long to refill.We appreciated the fast response and the care the company took to resolve our issue for us. Thanks so much to Mr. Rooter for making things right!We hired Mr. Rooter to repair a leak in our main plumbing stack in March. The supervisor was able to come out quickly and assess the repair, and we were able to get the job scheduled within a couple days. Our issue came with the quality of work once the job started. We ended up paying almost $4k for a new plumbing stack, during which the workers shattered one of our basement windows. Someone was able to come by and fix/clean that up for us to the best of their ability, but we saw very little empathy from the individuals who actually broke the window and we were cleaning glass up for weeks afterwards to make sure our toddler and dog were safe. I understand these things happen but I expected some sort of apology and was met with “we broke a window, I can cover it with cardboard and see if someone can fix it”Additionally, it has been about six months since we had this repair done and our brand new main stack is already leaking again. Overall based on the experience I wouldn’t hire again when we have thousands of dollars at stake.

    The 3 service people that worked on sewer issue were very helpful. Darryl was awesome and good sense of humor. Reid was helpful by answering what was going on.     Chris Lawrence was the gentleman that visited out house to address our pressure problem in our house. He was kind ask questions about our issues had us show him what was going on and examined everything to evaluate our problem. Chris was able to determine we had a few issues going on. He priced out everything with a few options to fix our problems all at once or in stages and even priced something that we want to take care of down the road. Chris spent hours handing all of our problems. When he was finished he walked us through every thing he did and he to work it. We will use Mr Rooter services in the future and ask for Chris to help us with all of our plumbing issues.

    Their services are so helpful and very prompt. As new immigrants, we were very panicked when we found the septic pipe was clogged. Fortunately our buyer’s agent recommended this company to us. They came over after I called them and solved the problem. The best service of this company is that they always keep us updated and informed as soon as they send any staff to come and also send us a photo of this staff so that we know who is coming.     We had an emergency septic situation and our normal plumber could not come out for 4 days. A fiend recommended Mr Rooter of Newark. We called 1st thing in the morning and Tim came later that day! He explained everything he was doing. Once he determined that the simple solutions were not going to work in our situation, he went the extra mile (or three!) and crawled under our house to look for the issues. He took pictures of everything and showed us what was going on. He called Zack, who was on his way home, because he needed a big machine. I was so impressed with their professionalism and dedication.     Very polite workers, careful not to make or leave a mess. The only issue is that to clean one kitchen drain cost $340 something. I had a coupon for $99 so it came to $240 ish! That is really expensive!!! The coupon was very misleading I feel!

    Where do I start!!! The exceptional Plumber that visited our home, Will (Mr. Rooter Newark) was outstanding. He arrived early, he was sensitive to our home environment given Covid19, he educated me on the service plans offered, he assessed the situation thoroughly while educating me every step of the way, he went over estimate in detail which made me feel comfortable about the customer friendly cost, after he completed his worked he cleaned up the area and let it spotless. Also, Will shared with non-corrosive natural alternatives for unclogging PVC pipes that will preserve the integrity of our pipes.     I had the best experience with Ryan who came out on Christmas Eve. I had called that morning for an emergency appointment (nail through my main drain line) after being unable to reach several other companies due to the holiday. I was so relieved to hear a voice answer my call with an available appointment time and most importantly The assurance of no emergency fees for coming out same day. Ryan was very personable and felt more like a friend than a stranger. He talked us through his assessment and did a great job patching the leak.     Our experience with Mr. Rooter was better than we ever could have expected.We had bought a home built in 1962, which had galvanized steel drain pipes throughout. After giving our kids a bath one night, the associated drain pipe decided its time was up. I found our dining room floor covered in water, the ceiling was soaked through, and the water even made its way through the dining rooms wood floor onto the basement drop ceiling panels. It was a nightmare scene for any homeowner. It was also Saturday night.I contacted a friend who had industrial dehumidifiers. We ripped out the drywall from the dining room ceiling the next day, opened the panels in the basement, and got the dehumidifiers and fans running in both locations. Then I contacted Mr. Rooter. Since we had everything under control, I took them up on their offer to come out to the house first thing Monday morning.I was first impressed with their dispatch system. It sends a picture of who is coming out and a short paragraph about them. I had never seen that before. When they arrived, they were very personable and we walked through the affected areas, examining everything together. This gave me a very thorough understanding of what the problems were and what it could take to fix them. By the time we sat down at the table to finalize the job, I already fully understood my options and knew what we were going to do. I wanted all of the galvanized drain pipes for the second floor replaced with PVC. We couldnt get to the stack yet, but if it needed to be worked on, I wanted to get that done, too.To my surprise, they were able to get started the very next day. I was already completely comfortable with the staff, so I had no hesitation setting up the work for a time that I would not be home. About two hours into the job, they called and had great news for me. They removed the drywall concealing the cast iron stack and found it to be in excellent condition --- about as good as the day it was put in. If it was their house, they said, they wouldnt bother with it. We could focus on just the galvanized steel. That resulted in huge savings on the project and I was grateful for such integrity in the technicians; that they would be looking out for my wallet as well as my home instead of just coming in and plowing through the job we had initially written on paper.By the end of the experience, I felt Mr. Rooter had genuinely served my family and we werent just another job to them. We and the technicians actually got to know each other during the process. They walked us through the areas after they were finished, explaining everything that was done and giving us some tips. I saw how they went the extra mile and did things they didnt have to do. The bathrooms, the kitchen, and the dining room were all as clean as the day before the job started. I can honestly say Im already planning to have them back to do proactive work on the house, rather than reactive measures when problems arise. And were looking forward to having them back.From the initial dispatch to the end of the job, Mr. Rooter gives customers the kind of experience that previously seemed like a thing of the past. Courteous, professional, thorough, thoughtful, trustworthy and genuine are just a few words to describe the character of the people behind this company. We highly recommend them.

    First, can I just comment on how professional Mr. Rooter was from the very first phone call to schedule service. Since it wasnt an emergency, they had me choose from selected 2 hour windows where they were committed to arriving. They sent a text with a photo of my expected tech (what a great feature so you know for sure who is coming to your house, especially these days), and emails as reminders. Plus the tech (Zach) called when he was ready to come and asked me if the time was still ok with me. How convenient! He put little booties over his shoes each time he entered my home. He was clean in appearance and personable from the start. Truly very friendly and I felt comfortable having him in my home. Zach has 15+ years experience according to the little bio Mr. Rooter sent me ahead of time, and it shows. Jacob, his trainee with a few years experience, was on his way to becoming independent very soon. Just needing to learn the Mr. Rooter ropes. I wanted a kitchen sink sprayer installed. Love those handy things but never had one because for some reason my dishwashers aerator was located in that same spot. Zach explained to me how things have changed over the years, showed me how the sprayer and hose would connect under my sink so that nothing would back up, and all in a manner that I actually understood! Then he and Jacob worked together very quickly to get my sprayer installed and and working. Who knew such a small thing could bring so much joy. While he was there, Zach asked if he could inspect my plumbing or if I had any other concerns. I mentioned my toilet made bubbling sounds for quite awhile. He said he would take a look. I thought maybe something was caught in the line. He inspected with a camera but told me he doubted that was the case as usually if there was an air pocket or something with the sewer, I would also hear bubbling in my shower and sink in the same bathroom, which I never have. After camera inspection was complete and nothing was in the line, and since my toilet was 22 years old, he suggested a new one might be in order since I didnt like plunging it. He told me he could install it at that time if I wanted it since it was in the window of time allotted for me and he didnt have another call to attend to right away, or he could come back at another convenient time, whichever I chose. (There is some sort of good discount to have work done in the same day, so that was a plus!) Well, he and Jacob had 2 styles (round or oval) of Kohler toilets to choose from on his truck, high efficiency (half-flush and full-flush) with quiet-close toilet seats included to boot. Those seats are awesome when you have kids who just slam everything down, ha. I think they had that toilet done within an hour from start to finish! BTW, this was written by the woman of the house, but Zach willingly spoke to my husband over the phone about the toilet while he was here, so I didnt feel any pressure to make a decision on my own. So now I am scheduling a time for Mr. Rooter to come and install a sink basin in my garage for dirty clean up jobs. Zach was able to figure out how everything would connect from my basement and inside bathroom to my garage. He also said he would do a full sewer inspection with his camera when that happens. Cant wait....really. They are knowledgeable, professional, respectable, and very nice too!

    Very professional! Great prices! My sump pump was not working. They arrived on time and confirmed it needed replaced. I was expecting them to schedule a return date to install.     Called late last night to request service. They were unable to come out last night but were able to come today. They waived the dispatch charge. Although they were a little late, the technician that came out, Toni Kemp, was very professional and cleared the clog quickly and left no mess behind. I am extremely satisfied with this company and the technician that responded and would highly recommend them for anyone that has the need of a plumber. They also gave me military discount which was not expected and made the process more affordable.

This winter, Daryl and his crew brought out a backhoe and removed a massive, tree root-ball that had crushed the old, terra-cotta, sewage line. and replaced it with a new PVC pipe.Their plumbers and the office staff have always been quite professional, friendly, highly competent, offering you options, and are very good listeners.     I would highly prefer and recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing. Mr. Hanby, our technician, went above and beyond when we had a sewage back up at our home recently. He was able to discover the cause of the clog and then worked vigorously, with many attempts, to unclog and resolve the problem. His willingness to solve the problem and knowledge in his field ended up saving us a lot of extra work, and money, that may have resulted in tearing up concrete in our basement. I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing on a whim, after having called another company first, upon a google search, however, Mr. Rooter Plumbing was willing to send someone out, on a holiday, to get our problem resolved.
