I had a great experience with Roto Rooter. I called them in the late morning on a Monday and the woman who picked up (Stephanie) was kind and heard what I needed and told me someone could come the same day. Then called me back within 5 minutes and told me someone was going to be coming even earlier than expected. John arrived at my house and put protective covers on his shoes as to be respectful of my home. I assumed this is standard, but it was very thoughtful. He was very helpful, listened to everything I had to say. I have been dealing with a long term issue with other companies and he listened to me vent with clear frustration and was still able to understand what I needed him to do. He got in our crawl space three times and tried several different things to properly diagnose the problem before leaving with potential solutions offered and a low-pressure quote for me to review and let him know if we need to move forward. He had someone from his restoration team arrive quickly to offer another quote for clearing up some water. Jose was very helpful and patiently waited for me to get off the phone before reviewing his findings and proposed plan. Overall a very positive experience. They were quick, friendly and helpful. I met a guy yesterday afternoon by the name of John from Roto Rooter. My wife and I were in a panic about cost and availability for this, much needed service in our home, due to unfortunate events, while on vacation. John came to our home prepared to provide good customer service, education of work he would perform, options of work and overall good work and representation of Roto Rooter. John was easy to talk to and friendly. My wife and I were very satisfied with his professional work and friendly-welcoming demeanor. We accidentally flooded a room 36 hours before a trip so we were very much worried about our predicament. A gentleman named Matt came to my house today to fix a clogged toilet. I called yesterday afternoon and they said they could get someone out that day or the next day. I requested the next day. My toilet had been backing up and I was unable to fix it no matter how much I tried. The night before I worked on the toilet for 3 hours and eventually realized I needed a real bathroom plumber. So Matt came today, and five minutes later, he had fixed my toilet! I was rushing to a work meeting and he came in, got the job done and was very professional. I asked him what I owed him for his time and services. He told me from a personal ethical standpoint if he fixes a toilet with the owners plunger, that quickly, he doesn’t feel right charging for it. I was shocked but so appreciative. The company had someone there the next day, fixed my plumbing issue and was beyond generous with their time and their services. Matt is his name, and Matt not only fixed my issue, but completely made my day with his personal motto and how he treated the situation. I am beyond happy with the services he provided and will absolutely be using them again in the future. Whoever is Matt’s manager, I want to tell you, Matt is the man! He was on time, professional and all around an amazing representative of your organization. You have a great team and company culture.

First septic tank I have ever owned. I received a nice generic reminder to get tank emptied. Called and had several questions, which were all very well answered. Scheduled appointment for clean out, mind you I have little knowledge of what it takes, I barely knew where the septic tank was.Anyway, Seth arrived, we found tank with his cool probe and went from there. For some reason there were some PVC pipes running right across the lid. Thankfully there was enough room to remove lid.Seth was a wealth of knowledge.All in all this was a great experience for a newbie and BTW it is not stinky at all!

What we all thought might be a clog in the main line from the house to the septic tank became a much more involved project. The approximately 70-year-old Orangeburg pipe had collapsed, days before Christmas. Our two workers, Jose and Tony, worked until 11:30 pm on December 23rd to complete the job so we would have toilets, showers, and sinks to use during the Christmas break. They came back late on the 26th to backfill the trenches. It was a complicated job, due to the archaeology of the site -- a previous & empty septic tank in the way, an empty but also in-the-way underground oil tank, and an AC unit sitting on a concrete pad above the old pipe exit. They rerouted the internal basement plumbing and drilled a new exit hole for the septic line. It was expensive work, of course. They did everything in a professional and friendly manner. Great guys.

Matthew and Carson were the team I had to install a clean out on a high school which required excavation and modification of a 8 inch sewer main. I would absolutely hire them for any project for a number of reasons. Matthew in particular is extremely knowledgeable of his trade and I appreciated the determination he had for finding actual solutions to our problems and not just selling us a service or a product. This is a key trait I look for with contractors. While he was here, he identified other potential modifications that would resolve other issues I’m having that came up in discussion and I look forward to seeing those improvements come to light in the future. I can only give 5 stars for the above service people, action, and this job well done!!However- I was very disappointed that the fee to unplug a toilet has now jumped from $100 to $231, (since last year- when I last needed their services.)I think it would only help Roto Rooter; to do a return customer discount of 20% -30%!! I could then use their services more frequently.Otherwise, I have to go with a handyman or buy my own auger- for future jobs- as I cannot afford this big price increase.
