    We called Trustworthy Electric late in the afternoon and they had someone at our home the next morning. Service Representative (Sheldon) was thorough in searching for the cause of our concerns with several outlets which ran two freezers and an extra fridge that stopped working. (We are in an older home, 1884 with several additions to present time.)The electrical system was in much need of updating. We were presented with a solution and given three options to decide on. We called back later in the day and scheduled an overhaul of our very outdated and dangerous circuit box, and new lines to safely support our freezers. The workers arrived promptly the next morning. They were pleasant, efficient and conscious of cleaning the areas they worked in. They worked the entire time they were in our home with no breaks. When they finished a very tedious job, we had new lines and more powerful outlets for our freezers, new breaker boxes with replaced where needed, tidied-up wiring and a new whole house surge protector in place. We felt safer when they completed their job. We will call them for any future electrical needs and will happily recommend Trustworthy Electric.

    I’ve called Trustworthy Electric several times in the past for troubleshooting electrical problems and adding new circuits. Charles was helpful scoping and estimating the work. Doug and his assistant added new RV plug and new circuits. They were friendly and knowledgeable and did an excellent job! The company name, cost and workmanship says it all— Trustworthy!

    I am so thankful that we called Trustworthy Electric. I know, the name sounds a bit gimicky, and I was leery at first too, but to be honest, they have lived up to the name. We initially called Dixie Electric out to diagnose flickering lights throughout the whole house. During their inspection, they tried to tell me we would have to replace the outdoor breaker box, then told me we could do it a little cheaper by just relocating the inside breaker box to the outside, and then later I got told well, we could just replace the indoor box instead. Even though I told them that our house was built in the late 60s/early 70s, they did not realize that this was acceptable at the time and not the actual issue. The quote came in at $2900. I spoke with friends that have experience with electrical issues, and they highly advised that I get a second opinion, and I am so grateful that I listened. I called Trustworthy Electric and explained the issues we were having, and requested that Jessica send me someone who is experienced with older homes. She succeeded. Charles came out and diagnosed our issues. Once he supplied the quote (which came in at around $1400-1500 total, including the diagnostic), we scheduled the repairs immediately. Charles was attentive, professional, and super knowledgeable. I was comfortable leaving him alone in my home, knowing that if he needed anything, he would let me know. Once he replaced the indoor breaker box, our family was finally able to sleep again, and I dont know about you, but that means everything in the world to me. 10/10, fully recommend to anyone looking for an HONEST electrician that isnt going to rip you off, and will stand behind his work.

    After hiring a “less than trustworthy” electrician. I called on Trustworthy Electric to fix what the other guy messed up.     I love this company. I reached out to Trustworthy Electric originally because my outlet in my kitchen went out and Sheldon came from Trustworthy Electric to check the outlets and give recommendations. He was very professional, thorough, knowledgeable, patient and kind. He recommended an electrical upgrade to my home as my home is older and the current electrical problem posed an immediate hazard. Sheldon broke down all of the hazards that my current system posed and what steps were needed to remedy the problem. He also answered all of my questions and there were several. I reached out to the office and spoke with Randy to ask questions as well and he was patient enough to take his time to answer all of my questions in detail to ensure I understood. Sheldon, Randy and Charles also came out to do a 2 day job to ensure my upgrade went smoothly. Randy was very professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind. The price was definitely reasonable and worth every penny for the huge job that had to be done in my home. No matter how many questions I had Randy and Sheldon both answered them all.     December 2024After an inspection, 3 outlets needed the new wires reversed and a front cover reattached on a junction box in the crawlspace.They came out the same day, corrected all issues and since it is under their annual warranty, at no cost.Thank you Trustworthy!——————Aug 4, 2022 As we unravel the years of old electrical work that needs to be done on our “new” old home, Trustworthy Electric has been with us every step of the way. Charles came today to fix an old breaker, fortify an outlet previously installed by the homeowner incorrectly, install a new kitchen counter outlet through lathe and plaster, cover two plates for outlets no longer in use, remove anon-working ceiling fan and install a new fan.As usual, everyone who has come to my home is excellent.     We recently purchased a 110 year old home. We had some issues with the lights and wiring that needed correction urgently. We called Trustworthy Electric on the recommendation of a retired electrician friend. They were at our home for a diagnostic call in less than an hour on a Monday morning and scoped out the situation. We had an estimate by lunchtime. I met them at the house this morning and Thomas, Sheldon, and Dalton replaced the main panel, ran new wire to update the computer room/office, installed a new smoke detector, and installed GFI outlets in the bathrooms and kitchen. They were polite, professional, and on time. Thomas walked us through everything they did and answered all of our questions. There were no surprises and we know we have increased the value as well as the safety of our property. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them wholeheartedly! Great job!     When I first called this company, they responded right away. Even though they were a bit hesitant to complete the job in order to restore electricity. They came through. Randy is very personable and Joshua was outstanding. He was awesome. I now have my electric on and I can say they stood with me every step of the way. I have to agree with the last review, they are quite pricey but they stand behind their work and I am grateful to Randy. Randy spoke with me when I needed further explanation on what worked needed done. I understand the economy is not where it used to be and that prices have increased.     After searching online and finding Trustworthy Electrical, I was drawn to the fact they had a 5 star rating. I called and had an appt for Sheldon to come check a wall with our refrigerator on one side a tv on the other. Our house is circa. 1964 so a lot of the plugs did not have grounding wires. Looking further; we discovered that a different electric company who we bought a new panel to update on and found out they mix matched and put old stuff back into it. We plan on having some lights and ceiling fans replaced in the near future. Thank you Sheldon!

He pointed out some of the issues that we were aware of and other few safety issues that needed to be resolved.     My technician was Josh during the initial consultation. A young-looking guy who was very knowledgeable, well-spoken, and attentive. I was very impressed. When it came time to perform the work, It was both Josh and Steve who came along and both were very professional. I got along with both of them great. They performed excellent work, got my house up-to-code, and the receptionist even conducted a follow-up after my home passed the citys electrical inspection. She took it a step further and arranged for Alabama Power to arrive the next day to have my power restored. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

    I had a great experience with Trustworthy Electric. We had to have a major renovation with our 1970s home. The cost was really high but reasonable for the amount of work required. Charles was the lead electrician and was communicative and helpful. Overall I give them a five star rating. The only issues are a few outlets that are not lined up correctly and one of the bathroom vent fans is crooked on the ceiling. They accommodated all of my requests as best as possible. Kordai was the most memorable team member. He connected with me and we were able to communicate more effectively about my requests. He also did the recessed lighting. It was extremely well done and the attention to detail was on point.

    Trustworthy added some ceiling fans, several outdoor plugs, spotlights, and a pendent light. They were able to react and come out several times, in order for me to coordinate with my contractor. They really did a good job and made it look good.

I had outdoor outlets installed back in August 2023 and asked the techs to put insulation around the outlet they had just installed. They told me it would not be a problem and DID NOT use the clear, or any, insulation to cover the exposed area. As I remember, I decided not to give them a review of any kind. I should have noted this at the time but I didnt.     Very professional. More expensive than an individual handyman, but well worth the money. We have had Charles come and help us for the last 3 times weve had electrical work. This last time was absolutely phenomenal, and we had to leave a review. He came on time, worked hard all day long (expected to be finished running high voltage wire and new plugs, but we have plaster, so he didnt finish in one day), and then worked with us to find a time he could come back with extra help. Ive been working with handymen to fix my house, and the 7 things we discussed were quoted to take about 4 days on average by others, so we were pleasantly surprised when the cost was just a little higher but noted for less than half the time by Trustworthy.     Recently purchased an older home, and called them to replace electrical plugs from two prong to three prong. When the technicians came out they also did an inspection of the home electricity. Unfortunately for me they found that there was corrosion in the main panel, and that it was a safety hazard. They gave me several repair options, and made sure to show and explain all the facts to me so I knew what I was paying for and why! Having such friendly, honest, and hard working electricians made spending the money not such a heartbreak lol! They also tried very hard to get me the best possible outcome for finances, which was greatly appreciated! Seriously can’t say enough good things about each and every person I spoke with, from the receptionist, electricians, and owner!

I liked the name and thought - this is a company that will have to be very good to live up to its name. I do recommend anyone needing any help from an electrician, call Trustworthy.     We required a new outlet to be installed under the kitchen sink directly from the outside electrical breaker box. Our technician, Charles, Arrived early, completed job, labeled breaker box and cleaned up the area to include caulking the exterior and interior hole to keep out rodents and insects. Great job!

    Thanks to Randy and his helper today. They made it a point to help me understand what was causing all the issues i was having in my home. They were both down to earth and very friendly. They took their shoes off because i got new carpet installed. Randy even bent down to pick up a leaf that was tracked in on the way out. The price was reasonable with no questions asked when Randy told me the amount. It was a sticker shock by no means. Thanks guys.

    Electricians that worked on my house was very professional and courteous. Arrived on time got my power back on by the afternoon passed Alabama power inspection loved upgrade on the main panel especially the surge protector.

    World Class Customer Service and Workmanship! We had Trust Worthy Electric come out to inspect my elderly moms power box in her home. The technician Mr Randy was so patient, kind, and explained the electrical issues and concerns to my mother. After inspection he also call me and explained the box was as old as her home 1960s and was at high risk for fire hazard as she was experiencing power surges through her home. They suggested we get the power box replaced and up to code as quickly as possible. Due to my schedule I would not be able to travel the date Trust Worthy was able to perform the work. I was very worried and concerned after we had a horrible experience earlier in the year with another electrical company( MID-South Electric who left my elderly mom in a house for almost 48hr on the hottest days in the middle of the summer with no power in her home and no way to call for help when they told her it would only take 3 or 4 hr to complete the work. check their review for more info on that nightmare...) So you can understand my hesitation and concern. Trust Worthy sympathized with her issues she had with the other electric company and knew the importance of preventing my moms home from being a fire hazard so they agreed to come out and perform the work while she was out for her doctors appointment. They assured her that they would watch the home for her. The technician and the owner came out perform the work and even hooked up my moms new dishwasher which was not working as a result of the power issues in the home. They stayed and waited for mom to arrive back from her appointment. When my mom arrived everything was in place and the lights in the home were shining brighter than before. They helped her get in and explained all the work they completed in her home. My mom said it was more like having family performing work in the home. Trust Worthy went above and beyond in ensuring my mother and her home was safe and fire hazard free. The secretary was so friendly and called me and my mom to ensure if we had any issues to call them. Its was like being apart of a family who really cares about you as a customer and they perform excellent work! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😄♥️
