    Jorge and Robert came to pump out our septic tank. After showing them where the tank is located, Jorge asked if I was aware of what household items should not be in the tank. He reviewed with me what is flushable and what is not, what to look for both inside the house and outside to help prevent any future problems and made sure I knew when to have our tank serviced again. Jorge was extremely professional, polite and friendly. I will be recommending Stemmle (and Jorge) to everyone.

    Easy to schedule, showed up on time. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Located the tank quickly and only disturbed the area above the lid. He was very careful to recover and smooth out the dirt when finished. We will recommend them to anyone.

    Such a wonderful company, Our septic pump went bad. Stemmle came out the same day and replaced pump and fix the problem. Austin had everything we needed in van. I can not thank them enough.     Jorge and Austin were amazing! Very professional,thorough and gave me good information about the care and maintenance of my septic system. They also actually did the work they came to do. Apparently the last company we called for this service didnt actually dig up the solid tank, they only pumped out the water from the pump tank. Integrity counts and Stemmle has it!

    You know how when you’re having a bad week and things just keep getting worse? That’s exactly what was going on when we found water on our floor and gurgling water in our sink. It was late in the day so there was nothing we could do until the next day. We called Stemmle and they came out THE SAME DAY. Mind you, it was a Friday and Justin and Jorge definitely came to our rescue and saved us from not having water all weekend!! I want these guys to have the most appreciation they can get because they not only fixed the problem but INFORMED ME of the problem. They were respectful, kind hearted, caring guys that walked me through all of the things I could do as a home owner to avoid over flow and informed me of some of the things that are a “no no” when it comes to flushing things down the toilet. I’m serious guys, if you call this company I highly recommend Justin and Jorge! They truly cared about fixing the problem and making sure it STAYED FIXED. Everyone knows how much of a pain it is when these things happen but I will tell you these guys made it a fun and awesome experience. Thank you to the both of them!

    On a cold and rainy December night the Stemmle family came to the rescue. After 2 days without water at our house, with family members coming in town for Christmas, my wife inadvertently contacted a clearly inferior company to fix our water main leak. After 2 days of frustration I reached out to Tracey and John and they immediately had two techs Cameron Tingley andJosh Bowen at my house within an hour and had our issue fixed correctly. Their professionalism, timeliness and knowledge was second to none. In the pouring rain, cold temperatures, at 8pm on a Friday night, they fixed our issue and left our yard looking like nothing had happened. I can’t say enough about the quality of this company and the people they have working for them. 5-Stars, I would recommend Stemmle to anyone and did at the Christmas party we were able to attend next door, all because of speed and quality of their work. Thank you excellent service!

    A major job: we needed to have a septic pump tank replaced. Over about three weeks, the five or six Stemmle people we dealt with were friendly, polite, and informative. Always kept us abreast of when they would be here; took extreme care that heavy equipment did the least possible damage to the lawn. Despite heavy rains, they worked outdoors in very cold weather to have the work finished by Christmas. We could not have been any more pleased and impressed.     Jorge (George) and Austin were wonderful. They pumped our septic tank today. They arrived on time, were super friendly, and very helpful. Our septic tank is 3 ft. below the surface and not fun to dig up, yet they did it with a smile and a few jokes. I would recommend them to anyone.     Kudos to Stemmle employees Mike M., John W. and Marcus H. for the professional and considerate service I received on 25 Jan 2021 getting my septic system working as it should. It was not an easy job to locate septic tank ( I had built a patio in the area), take care of clogs and rewire the septic pump which was not working. I was given info on each step needed and the cost before actions were taken.

    My wife and I were very pleased with Stemmle. On Saturday, December 23rd our sewage line backed up. With a party at our house scheduled for that evening, we were certainly panicked. We called Stemmle. Within 45 minutes (on Sat, Dec 23rd), Clint was at out house. He removed some roots, unclogged our line and made some recommendations. He saved the day. The following week he was back at our place for a video inspection. He cleared the remaining roots. The following week, we received a proposal from Chris to have a trenchless line put in. No one wants to spend a lot on this sort of repair. Its essentially burying money, but owning a home isnt always fun. Chris crew came this week. They were fantastic. We were able to stay at our home, use water/toilets in the evenings and get on with our lives. Thanks so much. We appreciate your service and will always recommend you to others in the same situation.

    After dealing with the City of Richmond for 9 days (they suck) I took matters into my own hands this morning and called Stemmle. Within a few hours Jimmy Y and Damon C were at my property, figured out the problem, and they were able to get this pit cleared of water and the leak repaired in no time. More time was spent beating our heads against the wall talking to the stupid city people. Thank you Jimmy and Damon for saving the day! You are my new go to guys!

    Jorge and Austin was very friendly. They took the time to explain everything they were doing, since this was my first time having my septic drained.     I was so upset with both toilets backing up with my drain clogged up under crawl space. I called Stemmle Plumbing after hours which they were closed. On that next morning early I got a call from Charlene at Stemmle Plumbing asking could they help, I explained the problem to her and she immediately got a plummer by the name of Clint who was very prompt and knowledgeable. Clint explained the problem to me and gave me an estimate before starting to unclog my drain. I agreed and he did a wonderful job unclogging my drain. Fast and knowledgeable! Carlton and Noah came same day, assessed the problem and gave a price before any work was started, so no surprises after work was completed.     I highly recommend Stemmle Plumbing Repair. They came out to inspect sewer/septic issue on April 14, 2023 at home that my son & daughter in law were in process of purchasing. I want to especially mention a young man by the name of Aaron. I was so impressed with him. He explained everything and kept us all informed during their inspection.     We are new homeowners and discovered we had a septic system only when all the water in our house started backing up. We called Stemmle Plumbing and this company has been amazing to work with. I called several times and their front staff is always so kind and took all the time I needed to answer my questions.I ended up booking for them to come after hours as we couldnt wait for their next available appointment. Lawrence, Erik and Tim, came out to do the job and they were also kind, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They went above and beyond in finding our septic tank and then pumping our septic tank. They stayed as long as was needed to get the job done.I highly recommend them and will absolutely be calling on them again for any other plumbing issues and for maintenance of our septic system.

    My 88 year old mother had a plumbing issue. Not uncommon with a home built in 1940. The plumbing flawed, the wiring confusing. After having work done earlier this year there was a concern with an outlet & tub plumbing adjacent to each other. During my last visit in May I called Stemmle to express my concern with the outlet. That same day Stemmle sent help. Bill, Operations, Tracey, Kay, and Nick all responded immediately with empathy and professionalism. I was very impressed and thankful for their extraordinary treatment of my mom.

    Josh and Trey were the best! We had three plumbing companies come to our home to try to diagnose the problem with water loss from a broken line and figure out how to best repair it. The other two weren’t really sure where the pipes were going in the house, said one would need X-ray vision to figure it out without opening the floor, walls and/or ceiling…Well, Josh must have X-ray vision, because he did figure it out! And Stemmle gave us the best estimate proposal – and kept to it. Josh and Trey got in here early and on time and made a quick and professional job of it. Nice guys, too.

    Kudos to a super nice tech named Jorge Perez. We were due for a routine septic tank cleanout. After a quick comparison of reviews from the various companies in the area I decided to give them a call. A woman quickly answered the phone and was able to promptly give me a quote which was reasonable and competitive. I had half expected the price to have been a bit higher given gas prices as of late, so I was more than agreeable when that didnt seem to be the case. We were given a choice of days, and a 4 hour window for the work. They called ahead of time to confirm day of, and showed up as expected. Nothing crazy - we try to do well with routine maintenance and septic care. That said, I really appreciated their tech Jorge taking the time to talk with me about everything and let me look over his shoulder to see and learn first hand. For me, its very much added peace of mind to be able to physically look at our inlet/outlet and see their condition and work in action. I hope to not call again for a few years, but when I do itll be Stemmle.

    I cant believe Im hopping on Google to write a positive review of a plumbing company - but Mike and Roland were SO great, went SO far above and beyond, that I feel its important to send some good energy their way.First of all, they arrived fast, which anyone experiencing a plumbing/septic emergency knows is critical. Second, they were NICE - courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and we felt comfortable having them here. Third, without getting too complicated, we have an odd configuration with our pipes that makes it difficult to solve certain problems. They knew the solution would be expensive and spent extra time trying to help out, in a situation where so many others would just say its not my problem. Although ultimately an alternate solution didnt pan out, this extra effort was a bright spot in a day that was challenging emotionally and financially. Many thanks!

    Had a great experience with Jason from Stemmle! Our kitchen sink backed up and clogged on a Saturday afternoon and just a few hours later, Jason came over and fixed the sink for us! Every other emergency plumber we contacted was either unavailable for a few weeks, or the earliest they could stop by was first thing next week. We didnt want to go the whole weekend not being able to use our kitchen! Were super thankful to have Stemmle respond so quickly and help us out of the pickle.     JOSH B. And JUSTIN S. put in a new water heater for us yesterday - very pleased with their attitude and service level. Josh did the initial assessment - came out the same afternoon. It turned out we needed a new unit that was not in stock - he called me 5 or 6 times, very promptly and even after hours, to figure out our plan. He seemed genuinely concerned we were out of hot water, and got it done on Friday so we were fixed for the weekend - outstanding!! They did a quality job, seemed very knowledgeable and efficient, cleaned up after themselves and communicated well with me when I came to check on them. I had a concern about how the relief valve was being drained: Justin did an outstanding job of describing how the relief assembly works and why this was the best solution - I understood perfectly when he was done, Thanks - Stemmle is my new plumbing supplier!!

    I give Tim & Abel 5 stars for coming out and replacing my expansion tank and pressure switch. I had been without water all day when I called Stemmle. They came out, assessed the work that needed to be done, gave me a price and went to work immediately on making the repairs. They worked diligently late into the night to ensure that my water was restored before leaving my residence. They even came back the next day to make sure everything was to my satisfaction.     They are great, after James River dropped the ball and wouldnt even communicate with me about what was happening, one call to Stemmle I had someone coming to help fix my Water Heater within a few hours. I think its pathetic that we need to praise companies for doing their jobs in this day and age BUT I do want to thank Stemmle for such a quick response and the professional nature that their crews demonstrated on site. Ill be sure to keep coming back that level of above and beyond is why Im leaving five stars.

    I cannot say enough about the promptness, the speed, and the quality of help given. My wife and I called last night around 10pm after our downstairs toilet flooded the bathroom and laundry room. They called back within 10 minutes. . .that is not a typo, it was 10 minutes. The technician was here about an hour later and took the time to explain that not only did we have a clog, we also had a pipe just outside in the front yard that was crushed and causing the entire backup. The technician was able to clear the clog enough for us to get through the night (with four children we had to be able to flush a toilet in the morning), scoped the pipe to find the damaged section, called for a quote to fix the pipe the next day, and was completely done within an hour.The next day, two technicians arrived on time, quickly assessed the situation and got started. The hole was dug, the damaged pipe removed, a new piece of pipe was installed, and the hole was filled back in within 45 minutes. Absolutely incredible. They dug the hole with shovels and their bare-hands without a single complaint. Just amazing customer service from all involved (from the service manager who returned the emergency call, to the technicians who did the work, to the dispatcher who helped schedule the same day service to repair the pipe).Thank you so much for all the help, we will definitely use Stemmle again if needed, and recommend Stemmle to everyone we know.

    We had trouble with our septic pump, which was not draining properly and overflowed with lots of the imaginables that spilled out on our lawn. Gross!! We, my husband and I, had called the original plumber company that had installed the system and pipes when the house was built in 2021. They gave us the run around. Basically, talking more about what could have cause the problem rather than getting in the grind of things to actually see the cause of it. After three days of frustration, my husband called Stemmle and explained our situation, and immediately, plumbers were dispatched out to assess the problem physically!!! Once the crew came out, they, without hesitation, got all the necessary parties to get the job done!!! So with that, the Elliott family thanked God for the Stemmle crew, Cameron, Austin, Wallace, Roland, and the company for hiring competent and excellent men who worked hard on the task and were up to it as well.     I have used Stemmle a number of times and always receive the highest quality work and repairs. Recently Nick Baker responded to a laundry list of repairs we had in our home including dripping faucets, a toilet that wouldnt refill, and several clogged drains. He walked me through everything he was doing and fixed everything quickly. He was also super patient with our very loud dogs that didnt stop barking the entire time. Everyones customer service was excellent; a real person answered the phone when I called, Nick was very knowledgeable about water heaters, offered advice, gave me an upfront cost before work began and expediently completed expert work.I highly recommend to anyone.I tried another company the day prior, but they could not compare.     They replaced our main water line because it was leaking and almost 30 years old. This was the only company that wanted to bore a new line without destroying the yard and driveway. All the other companies wanted to dig a trench and make a mess. JUSTIN B. was our technician and he was awesome. He took his time and payed attention to the details. Jason was very professional and keep us informed throughout the repair.I was so impressed with Justin B. and Stemmle Plumbing that I will ONLY use this company if we have any other plumbing needs. Unfortunately, a neighbor became upset and argured at Justin. He was extremely professional and simply explained that he would be very careful and clean up everything before the job was completed.     I had my roof fall in from a backup in my waterline around 9:46am. Justin Beck from Stemmle plumbing came by about 3 hours after the call, which gave us enough time to clean up water. He asked us the necessary questions in order to find the problem. He took his time,very polite, we have a 4 year old son and he was very friendly and allowed my son to ask him any questions. He was very professional and made sure he took care of the problem by checking the lines 4/5x before leaving. He understood that I had cleaned my home and made sure he put down tarp and a bucket in order not to make my floor dirty. He also cleaned my tub after he finished unclogging my tub. This was only just the apartment. I would definitely request people to use Stemmle plumbing. They are clean,friendly,and hard working, very well organized.     Marcus and Jerome came out to fix my septic pump. I was very nervous about replacing the pump for many reasons. Marcus had been out to service the pump before and was familiar with my problem. He replaced the float only, and saved me a lot stress and money. These guys really know about septic pumps.     I had a great experience with Stemmle. I called needing a sewer line unplugged and they were able to dispatch a truck within 2 hours with no emergency fee. Jason and Kendell were professional, efficient and the price of $330 I considered fair given they were on site for 2 hours and had to use two pieces of equipment. They unplugged the line, but using their scope showed me that I have a rock in my pipe that left unaddressed would cause the pipe to just clog again. They are sending someone out tomorrow to see if they can remove the rock uses a claw device.

    We used Stemmle as a recommendation from our regular plumber after another plumber (who claims on their website as “voted the best plumber in Richmond”) incorrectly installed the connection between our house and the city. We mainly worked with Chris at Stemmle, who came up with three ideas on how to fix our issue most effectively before starting the job. In the end we had a great experience and they even left our front yard in better shape than we expected - especially compared to the supposed “best in Richmond” who left it as a war zone.     I had a pinhole leak in a pipe under my house in a very difficult to access area. A plumber named Justin Beck came out from Stemmle and did a wonderful job. Its scary how companies will rip you off with such ease.     Having totally forgotten about having my septic system serviced for too many years, I spotted the Stemmle truck at my neighbors house. I walked over to introduce myself and asked if they could service my septic system while in the neighborhood. Although they were very appreciative, I was informed that their truck was full and I would need to contact the office to schedule service. They were kind enough to provide the office number and thought that it was quite possible someone could come that same afternoon. Upon returning home I called the office and was immediately told that a crew could return the same day if I wanted. I received a return phone call in less than an hour and was informed that a crew would be out within 30 minutes. As promised, the Stemmle crew, Hanton and Jay, arrived and immediately got to work. These two gentlemen were very polite, took the time to answer my questions and made certain that I was satisfied with the work performed.If you need to have your septic system inspected and/or pumped, I would highly recommend requesting Hanton and Jay to perform the service.

    I called them after two different plumbing companies never responded about a possible leak in the crawl-space. The receptionist was courteous when she helped to fit in a service time within my hectic working schedule, as was the gentleman that came out to check over the pipework. Justin B. worked with me and listened to the previous issues wed had in order to help find the current problem. There were no other leaks found in the crawl-space, so we took a look around the house and found an issue with the pipes beneath the sink. The bill was around $300, but throughout the entire process he made sure I was aware of the total, how much each service requested would cost (he had to replace a part beneath the sink), and was overall genuine with what he was doing. I would highly recommend these wonderful people again, especially Justin!

    Hinton and Jay arrived at my home on Friday afternoon (12/13) to pump out my septic tank. It was raining steady and, at times hard. When we were trying to find a company to replace our 35 year old bathtub insert with a new bathtub, we certainly could not have chosen better than Stemmle. The young lady who answered the phone was pleasant and informative. She set up our estimate appointment for the very same day. Kevin came out, assessed the job, and retuned an estimate for the JOB not by the hour. The estimate was extremely reasonable and he said they could start the install the next day.     We usually use Kelleher, but Clint and Steve F. came to clean out some drains and did such a great job, we asked them to stay and fix our intermittently running toilets. They did such a good job with that that we asked them to come back the next day and install a new vanity and sink. They practically had to rebuild the cabinet to get it to fit, made great suggestions for making it better, noticed a slight crack in the sink BEFORE they installed it that would have made it leak (A BIG deal!). Plumbing costs a lot and I was really concerned about the resulting price. But the price was within reason ... but the cleanup and finishing that Steve did afterward completely made my day! It looked like a completely new bathroom! I paid the price gladly, and will definitely call Stemmle in the future! Hopefully, they will send Steve and Clint again!

    Stemmle Plumbing in Midlothian is amazing! That have always been extremely courteous, helpful, and easy to deal with. My hot water heater was just replaced yesterday and we had the most amazing technician, Damon come to help us.     Excellent Service ! I called after another local company had been unable to complete the job, which involved a blockage in the line from the garbage disposal. Dylan Schuster and Jacob S were right on time, had the right equipment, and ended up climbing up on the roof to clear the blockage.     We had a leaky spigot on the back of our house. Harold Fender was our technician and he showed us exactly what the problem was and that it could be fixed immediately.     Steve Felicciardi was our technician and I must say my husband I were extremely expressed not only with his work ethic, personality and punctuality but his professionalism and how detailed oriented he was impressive as well. If you live in a rural area like I do then you know it is sometimes difficult to get companies to come out to your house. They had a cam on the truck and were able to diagnose the blockage very quickly, from a front yard cleanout access. Clint showed up right at the beginning of the 4 hour window Stemle provided, and spent a couple hours diagnosing and solving the mysterious problem (which was the prior homeowners neglect in leaving a pressure valve in the drain). He removed it and now the system works fine.Clint was not only professional, but also pleasant. If you have the unfortunate necessity of sharing your space with a plumber for a few hours, it helps when they have a good personality.     I recently had Stemmle come to my daughters home to do some work on the waterless water heater.     After replacing a 17 year old water heater (breaker kept tripping) I was all set to say goodbye to cold showers when I turned the power back on. To my disappointment the breaker was still tripping. I contacted Stemmle for electrical help and technician Cole Savage arrived as promised to set about replacing the breaker associated with the newly installed hot water heater. We heard a loud pop after turning the power on with the new breaker and the real root of the problem was now evident, bad wiring. Cole quickly set about replacing the bad wiring and it was no small task as the crawlspace beneath the laundry room is very tight. His knowledge, professionalism and perseverance are to be commended. If I ever need additional electrical work, and I will, Stemmle is my first choice without a doubt.

    Hurray for Stemmle! We own a Fan home built in 1896. Sewer line collapsed in front of the house in 2009. Stemmle relined from street to house front. Worked great. In January 2017 do to roots from city trees on city side, house back to a rear of the property carriage house sewer needed cleaning. Discovered this portion had deteriorated. Stemmle relined this portion. This took two long days. Willie, Jason, and Justin made sure we could use the house at the end of the first day. They returned on time the second day and worked till the project was done. After dark! They cleaned everything, including putting rugs back down on cleaned floors. These three guys deserve a big round of applause as does Stemmle. We highly recommend this business!

    I needed our home septic line to the distribution box located and mapped. Brent and Aaron arrived within the scheduled time and I told them what I wanted them to do. Both men were extremely respectful and professional. They used a camera connected to a cable and a metal detector. Brent explained to me how the detector worked and I watched the screen show him where the camera head was while it was in the line. I mapped out the septic line to the distribution box and Brent probed and showed me the perimeter of the box. Both men were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. They were here for 4 1/2 hours. They were very professional, fixed the problem and the fee was quite reasonable. They even cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend them.

    This company is excellent. We had a water main break at my business. Technicians Harold and Frankie worked to get the replacement taken care of, which included coordinating the boring equipment to keep from digging up our parking lot. When the job was complete, and county inspection passed, they backfilled the area by the meter and fine-tuned it so you can hardly notice the repair took place. All of this was on a day when temperatures were in the 30s. Thanks for the professional job!!

    My appointment time was from 10am - 2pm. At scheduling the appointment, I was told someone would call me 30mins upon arrival. I received a call from the field Supervisor around 9:24am informing me of technician’s arrival in 30mins., which was great. Then around 9:34am I received a call from Technician Cameron Tingley letting me know he would be arriving in 15 - 20 minutes (he actually arrived about 9:52am). He was extremely professional upon arrival, already having face mask and gloves on, introduced himself/Co. he represented. He was professionally dressed as he asked if it was ok for him to enter. Just before placing either foot on my floors, he immediately put a clean pair of shoe covers. He then proceeded to go over the technicals of his visit and asked to be shown bathrooms that were having problems. Afterwards, he gave me an overview of what the job would in-tell and projected costs. After I agreed to terms, he then proceeded to take care of the issues and cleaned up areas very well. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and knowledge from beginning to end.This was my first time using their services and I would not hesitate to call Stemmle Plumbing Co. again if the need arises and would definitely recommend their services to family and friends.Thank you Stemmle for a job well done 👍
