I tried Johns Heating, Cooling and Plumbing for a routine A/C check a couple of years ago and they were very factual and informative about my system and gave recommendations but it did not seem pushy or like they were trying to sell me anything. Since them I have become a yearly routine customer and get all my seasonal checks from them. Recently my A/C stopped working and my technician Jason Singh serviced me and has been my service tech on previous services. So far I have had a great experience with the company and especially great techs like Jason. I recommend using this company.

We decided to go with Johns for the customer service. Every single person we have dealt with has been so friendly. Return phone calls gave also been prompt and professional.Our experience with purchasing and having a new unit installed was effortless.We did reach out to other companies and Johns was superior by far!Pricing was reasonable for the Trane system we purchased. There was a huge discount for paying by cash or a check. Well worth the effort of the visit to the bank!The only struggle we are having is the learning curve of the new smart thermostat. If we continue with issues, we are confident Johns is there to help!

Where do I start? I live in an old house on an old lot that has been nothing but a money pit. The most recent problem was a water leak that turned out to be MUCH MORE than I expected. SO GLAD I chose Johns for the fix. They gave me multiple options for repairs, and didnt argue when I chose what I thought was the right option for me. The plumber, Robert, ended up having to dig a 2 by 20-25 trench BY HAND and kept a smile on his face the whole time. He walked me through ever phase of the process (INCREDIBLY patient with dumb girl with too many questions).They made a scary problem a walk in the park.Every single person I worked with was kind and helpful, from the office staff to the men on site. Its hard to find service like this these days.

Update: I have now used the service of John’s several times. Each service has been top notch. Today I had Preston dispatched to check in on the HVAC and address a few concerns. He was incredibly polite and thorough. Great folks!———————I had a technician named Noah visit for my first several services and he was awesome. This last week I scheduled a preventative inspection service and I was able to have someone scheduled within two days. Jason came and was wonderful, timely, and professional.I have had nothing less than exceptional service and highly recommend them.

In the spring of 2022, we decided that the time had finally arrived for us to replace our two A/C / gas furnace units in our house which was purchased new in 1996. One of the A/C units had a very slow leak, requiring an ever cost increasing annual freon recharge.After completing preliminary research, I decided to seek quotes from refrigeration companies which offered Trane products, due to their apparent reputation, and as a consequence of my brother-in-law’s brother being a Trane installer.We whittled our quote list down to two local businesses - both of which seemed to have good reviews. Each business came and gave us a quote, and was the start of the deciding factor leading us to select Johns Refrigeration.Mike Rowland, a comfort consultant, arrived and explained to us that prior to working for Johns Refrigeration, he was an independent energy consultant, providing residential consultation and construction services, including third party energy assessments for SRP and APS customers. We explained to Mike issues we were having with our existing A/C system, as well as cooling problems we were having since first occupying our house in 1996. Mike took measurements, analyzed our heating and cooling needs, and proposed a solution. His comprehensive analysis indicated that our existing 4 ton downstairs A/C should ideally be a 4.5 ton unit and thus recommended a 5 ton unit, and that replacing our upstairs unit with a similar 3 ton unit would be appropriate. Mike then provided good (single speed air handler / single speed compressor) / better (two speed air handler / two speed compressor) / best (variable speed air handler / variable speed compressor) proposals.The other refrigeration business representative came and provided an assessment largely based on what we already had (4 ton downstairs / 3 ton upstairs), without any obvious analysis. When quizzed about replacing the ground level A/C with a 5 ton unit, the explanation was not analytic enough for me. In addition, unlike Johns Refrigeration, this company was not sure that the units I thought we would select would be available any time soon.So as a result of Mikes pre-sales analysis, fit, and product availability, we chose to move forward with his the better proposal. Mike confirmed that the units that we wanted were in stock and arranged for installation to begin a week later.Installation day was whirlwind. A swarm of 7-8 people showed up at about 8am and started to work removing the old systems. In what seemed like no time, one team removed the old air handlers and compressors while another started assembling the new units. Soon the new compressors were installed and the new air handler installations underway. Included in the install was assurance that duct work would be adjusted to remove bends, to ensure we would have better airflow to a front room which was always a problem to cool. By about 4pm, the install work was finished, and configuration and testing underway. We have Z-Wave thermostats which I was quite sure could be used with the new system, and the install team was very accommodating in connecting.I was pleasantly surprised at how much cooler our house now is, the fact the A/C units no longer run non-stop throughout the day, and the reduced energy consumption we now have. Specifically, our June / July / August 2021 on-peak (3186KW) / off-peak (10661KW) consumption has been significantly reduced to on-peak (1610KW) / off-peak (7366KW) for the same months in 2022 - approximately a 35% energy consumption reduction and a corresponding 37% financial savings :-).We are very happy with the pre-sales, installation and post-sales support from Mike and the Johns Refrigeration team, and wouldnt hesitate them to recommend them to anyone looking for Trane equipment in particular and refrigeration services in general.

The service is great from the time you call the office through the actual work itself.Had a toilet overflow situation we tried repairing ourselves to no avail. Keith and Will were here quickly, gave me several options (which is always budget appreciated). They were professional, knowledgable and courteous.I am also glad to know they have expanded services into other areas as well and will continue to be my go-to option in the valley!

I called late in afternoon air conditioner not working , it was 115 outside. They sent a tech that same day. Preston was very knowledgeable , professional , friendly and courteous. He also took the time to answer my questions and showed me pictures and explained the problem and the options available to fix it . Preston fixed problem and rechecked system before he left which was late after the office was closed . Would highly recommend johns heating plumbing and cooling to everyone ! We called Johns when our 2 commercial HVAC units were not working properly. They sent out Noah Dominguez the same day, even with the crazy heat wave were having! I appreciated the automated text that was sent when Noah was on his way, so we knew who to expect. Upon arrival, Noah went straight to work diagnosing both units and provided pricing for repairs and replacement of one of the units. We approved the fan blade replacement, the part was ordered and Noah was back within a couple of days to install the new part. All is functioning properly and we will definitely be calling Johns again!

Many years ago I chose John’s due to all the positive reviews and have been with them since. Carlos just left after my annual maintenance on the Trane I bought from John’s. Carlos is beyond terrific. He explains everything, shows photos of what he did to my unit and why he did it and asks if I have questions. He is patient and very thorough, he is what you hope for in a tech. I have never had a bit of trouble with my AC because of John’s maintenance and cleaning every year.

The tech, Damian, was very professional, quick to repair my AC, and helped me understand what was going on my with AC unit and what my options were going forward. I will definitely be using Johns again for any AC needs I have in the future.Also, I want to say how great the updates were with the company. I received a call to let me know roughly when the tech was going to arrive, a text to let me know who the tech was and that they were on their way, pictures during the service so I could see the issues with my AC, and an email with everything discussed during the service. Today we had our 6 months service inspection done. We purchased a 3 year service contract last year and they called us yesterday to reminds us that our unit was due for inspection and we got an appointment for the next day! This was the second time we get our AC/Heating inspected. We had a different technician this time and we were worry because we liked Brandon, the first technician from 6 months ago very much and wanted him to comeback again, he is super nice and polite young men. He was no available this time and instead they sent Alex, another young men. We would like you to know were also a impressed with Alex as we were with Brandon! Alex customer service personality was just like Brandon, friendly, polite, very professional and explained everything in detail of the service he was about to perform and also after the inspection was completed. We are very happy with your customer service employees including the people that answers the phone at the office. Thank you for training your technicians so well!

Excellent place and technicians!!!! When I had lost all hope from getting a new ac installed 2 years prior and with nothing but problems from the company western states heating and cooling. They installed a drain pipe to fail and fault ,semper fi couldnt figure this out then I call Johns and bam they totally found the problem right away and saved me during the hot day!!! Johns sends pictures to my email and details all the things so I can clearly see. This place is amazing and my entire family will be using them from now on!!! A year and a half ago I replaced a perfectly good a/c system which was still working and had never been serviced for ten years with a new 2 stage Trane system . This is my second Arizona summer with it. It has always kept the desired temperature but since the installation I have always felt it made too much noise, weird hums and moans and rhythmic vibrations. The installation folks did their best to make me happy by leveling the unit, putting in extra cushions between the frame and adding some kind of mechanical muffler like device. I finally gave up and accepted my destiny and learned to tune out the noises but....This summer I decided to have the $59 inspection just to see how it was doing. A young man name Preston Packer from Johns came to do the routine inspection. I mention it was working fine but was louder than I thought a new top of the line a/c should be, but I had learned to live with it. When he came down from the roof after his checks, he informed me that the starting amps on the compressor was 126 amps, and it was only rated at 104. Thats a problem. He was ordering a new compressor.A couple of days later he replaced the compressor and its now running so quietly I have to go hold my hand in front of a vent to see if its blowing and I cant tell if its running anymore when standing outside in the back yard. I am very grateful for his expertise and for the manager that hired him. Preston is a true gem and a definitely a keeper.Randi White

Johns was one of the companies I had to contact to prove to Wolfgang (who denied all accountability despite 10 yr workmanship warranty and blamed us for faulty line sizes as well as being incredibly condescending) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) that it was installed wrong. Not only did Johns provide the technical expertise I needed, but provided a great quote that was so much more affordable than the other guys discounted quote to fix their own problem.Johns techs were great, worked super hard, and our system is better than ever! I had a warranty repair done on a NG Trane furnace that was installed by Johns, in which they had to replace a faulty gas valve. The technician (Damian) was great in that he answered all my questions, took a picture of the unit so I could see what they were fixing and showed me the old part after the repair. Johns has done great work for me over the years and I accept that they are not the least expensive. However, with the part being covered by warranty, I was a bit shocked with a labor cost of close to $500 to replace the valve (I believe took around an hour to swap out) in addition to the service call cost. I am not sure if everyone is now this high, but I think I will be forced to shop around going forward.

3 times using Johns in the last 5 months. The first time was for a second opinion on a major repair, and then the repair and then a thorough inspection of the HVAC system just the other day. I Never felt pressured into buying something not needed. They do what most dont do, theyll show you pictures of the major components of your system and suggest what is needed and what to keep an eye on. They are one of the best AC companies out there. Would not hesitate to use them, or recommend them. Saul came out to do the inspection. Make sure he gets pasta, or else.

My AC died overnight during the brutal July we had and I just needed to call SOMEONE to take care of it. Wasn’t impressed with the last HVAC contractor I used, so I kinda threw a dart and landed on John’s. They answered the phone before 6am and had someone on my roof around 8. The unit was kaput, no sense dumping big money in to an older unit, so they sent out someone else out at noon to price a replacement. No nonsense, he gave me a very fair price for a perfect drop in replacement, brand new more efficient, including a significant cash discount. The next morning at 6am an installer knocked on my door, 7am the crane showed up and did their thing, and I had a cool house again. Being impressed with the way they handled business I scheduled an inspection for my other AC unit and they knocked it out of the park. On time, knowledgeable, professional, thorough, they made a compelling case for the particular maintenance needed and completed everything efficiently and left me with peace of mind that I’m not sitting on another ticking time bomb. I will definitely use them again.

Weve been with this company for 20 years, ever since our neighbors recommended them. I have absolutely no complaints. They serviced the air conditioner that came with the house when we bought it, and when it had to be replaced, they were the ones to install a new one. We had Jason from Johns Heating and Cooling out a few weeks ago for a pre-summer checkup. Scheduling was quick and easy, he was ontime and very thorough and professional. He answered all my questions and walked me through all the pictures he had taken of work he had done and overall items he reviewed.We had used Johns to replace two nearly 20-year old systems last year and they have held up and run great with no issues at this nearly 1-yr checkup. We had a previous homes A/C system replaced as well by another company a few years before this and found that Johns pricing for two vs one system and with inflation/supply chain prices to be excellent in comparison. Their sales person came out to help take measurements, verify the right size and solution was engineered, and then walked me through their decision making and if there were options/trade offs to decide on.Every time they send a technician out, you get a text/email with a picture of the person, a little bio, and can usually see where they are at so you can know when they will be there. Overall very happy with them, and thankful our neighbor referred us to them before.

Cameron is the man! I came back from a few days away to find my AC not working. I first called that monkey place, didnt feel comfortable with what they said or offered so I called Johns after reading the many great Google reviews, glad I did! I didnt need a new unit or 4k in parts as first suggested, Cameron got me up and running the same day vs 2-3 days. He spent a good hour on the roof in 113° heat, those other primates were up there 10min, then tried to sell me a new unit for 21k, always read the reviews, I hope to see Cameron when my 6 month inspection comes up, a pleasure to deal with.

Called Johns Refrigeration last Friday late in the afternoon. Informed them that the AC system for my home was not working and consequently our indoor temperature was rising in the Arizona summer heat. They said that a service agent would be able to come out on Monday (3 July 2023). I decided to check the filter in the ceiling to see if it was really full of dirt and not able to let the air flow through it. It was pretty dirty so I decided to buy a new one and test the system out again. Even with the new filter I was still unable to get the AC system to bring the house temperature. Obviously something else was wrong. I placed another call to Johns late Saturday morning. They said that they could get a service agent to our house in about 40 minutes. We were thrilled that someone could come on Saturday instead of Monday. The service agent (Mel) did a great job. He replaced a bad capacitor and not the system is working fine.Thank you!Joe Gerber

We have had very good service, overall, each time that we have utilized Johns for A/C service. The most recent, yesterday, was Alex. He was a very professional young technician. Very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. We have recently had numerous technicians out for various projects, and Alexs professionalism was among the highest of all of them. He arrived wearing a mask, and wore it whenever he would come back in the house, which I appreciate, and took time before coming in to put carpet protectors on his boots. He also was very patient to explain to both me and my 100 year old grandmother (who owns the home) the details of the repair and the options, once he had assessed things--even with several questions from us. I highly recommend Johns based on our experiences with them, and I expect Alex, based on my experience with his service yesterday, will have a bright future in his trade and career!

We talked about some improvements that could be completed in order for my unit to run more efficiently. I decided to go forward on one of his suggestions and he completed the repairs. The starter capacitor on my AC condenser decided today was a great day to expand and no longer be a capacitor. Being a Saturday I had no idea when I could get a tech out. Called John’s got an answer first try, gave my contact info and in less than 10 minutes had a tech call me back and schedule a time the same day. Tech arrived when he said he would, had the capacitor changed in a matter of minutes, he then gave the furnace a quick check, waited to make sure the proper level of cooling was happening. We called BSJ/Johns Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing on a Saturday, and first thing Monday morning, Dustin was at our home to take care of the problem! The other plumber never called us back. Dustin replaced the broken parts inside the tank of our one toilet which is rather hard to work on due to the narrow space. By using the genuine Toto part, he made an annoyingly loud hammer sound when it shuts off disappear, something that two previous plumbers have not been able to do. We then asked him to change out our other toilet, and that same problem was fixed. Thank you for coming out soon, and being willing to fix another issue, in the same appointment!

I called Johns and told them my issue and they sent Mel out to my home the same day to run some diagnostics.
