My elderly parents needed a taller toilet installed to begin an ADA compliant bathroom remodel. We had used Overall Plumbing for almost 20 years because we knew and trusted Shawn Overall to do a FANTASTIC plumbing job, where no detail was too small. However, Shawn has retired, and we learned, because this is still a pretty small town, that after Shawn left, many of his best people went over to Access. Lacey, the young lady who sets the schedule is one of those great former Overall employees who transferred over to Access! We are sure glad she did! She is SO personable, professional, and willing to help in any way she can - she quickly set us up with Ron, another excellent Overall alum to install a toilet less than a week later!It turned out great, at a VERY reasonable price (almost HALF of what Lowes would have charged! HALF!!) and with the taller ADA toilet and grab bars now installed, my Dad will be able to safely come home to finish his rehab! Thank you SO much, Lacey and Ron!! You both do Access AND Overalls PROUD!!

Access Heating, Air, and Plumbing is top notch! They have serviced our HVAC system for the past several years, and have done an excellent job! Their service techs always communicate the time of their arrival, and are always professional and respectful of our home.They recently installed a brand new HVAC System, including A/C, and were prompt, professional, and cleaned up their work area as always. They are not a “cut rate” company - we probably could have shopped around and saved a few bucks, but you typically get what you pay for. If you want a trustworthy company with professional, competent techs, go with them!

They came out within a few short hours and the tech, Jared, was able to ascertain the main concern and provide a fix. This was our first summer in the house and we called Access Heating & Air for an A/C tune up. The technician, Michael F. was friendly, professional and fully explained everything he was going to do. He performed an extensive inspection, complete with 24 photographs and provided a summary of his findings. He pointed out three items that could create a problem in the future but, did not push us to make immediate repairs. We agreed to one (add refrigerant) and left the other two for another time. While Michael was here we also asked him to look at 2 additional issues. The first was a constant noise at the large return vent when the system was running. He quickly diagnosed it as the vent cover design was preventing smooth air flow. He used a crimping tool to slightly open every small section of the vent and there were many (see picture). This immediately stopped the noise. Very impressive. He had an idea what the problem was and was willing to spend extra time to resolve it. Then we discussed our noisy rattling fan unit outside. He determined the unit was not sitting evenly on the foundation and used a shim to stabilize it. Noise gone. Overall a great experience. We highly recommend Access Heating and Air. for your HVAC needs. You won’t be disappointed.

My furnace stopped pushing out heat a few days ago and we woke up to a 60 degree house. I’m pretty handy so I tried diagnosing the problem myself for a few hours. After covering the basics I called Access Heating as my lifeline. They answered right away and got me on the schedule for the afternoon. A gentleman called me back a short time later and gathered more info including all the things I tried so they could be more prepared and save time and money. They bumped me up the schedule to make sure I was taken care of as soon as possible. Our repairman Richard showed up on time, communicated very well, diagnosed the problem quickly, and we were up and running in no time!What a great experience! Many companies have forgotten what customer service looks like. Access Heating hasn’t! Thanks team Access! Will use next time!

So friendly, so knowledgeable, let us know about what is going on or what could be an issue in the future but NOT pushy.We just had our AC serviced in July by Richard (who we even had service our old house too) and he was so kind and friendly. But we started to have some cooling issues over the last couple days, so I called this morning at 9 and was able to get a tech out by 12 today. We chose to get their new membership program with Richard last time and because of that, the service today was completely covered.Andrew who came today was so knowledgeable, quick, friendly and took an interest in our sweet pup.We will forever be Access customers!

Tyler, was the on call technician for us this evening, and we couldn’t be happier with his service! He was very informative, personable and had excellent communication. Our furnace had been slapped together by someone who clearly doesn’t know how to do HVAC. Tyler explained reasoning as to why this was severely incorrect, and provided us with a “quick fix” solution to get us by, until we decide what we are going to end up doing about our system. He told us we could scrape by with what we have and use the “quick fix” solution - until our unit dies (which could be 1-3 years from now), or go with a new system. Either way, he said there is no pressure on us from him, and he understands if a “quick fix” is all we need for now. Very pleased with his service, and very pleased with Kenyon’s (the dispatcher) service as well. Awesome company to work with so far.

The office staff were so friendly and helpful setting up the quote appointment. Roland was very understanding of our great need as our old unit was 42 years old and had died earlier this year. Financing was easy and Roland explained everything fully. We were able to get scheduled less than a week out for the job. Jeff, Obe, and Avisha were all kind, professional, and did an amazing job. I fully trusted them in my house when I had to step away. Jeff even installed some new fire alarms for me as it was not even quoted in the job. I would highly recommend their installation team to get your heating and cooling jobs done.

He didn’t seem to mind the dog pestering him each time he came in the house.Also had a new water heater installed and the estimator, Ron was very thorough in his review and inspection. Although the faucet still had air in it when they left; we just had to let it run for a few minutes to let it work it way out and not spit and splatter about. 😂. Our A/C unit was struggling on a brutally hot Saturday so we called Access to see if any techs were available. The phone operator was understanding of our concerns and assured us a technician would be out later in the afternoon. We got an alert 30 minutes later that Luke was able to come out right away. Luke showed up and was friendly and trustworthy from the beginning. He explained what he would be inspecting based on the symptoms of our failing A/C. He was very professional and explained in detail each area he inspected and what he found. He laid out many options for us in regards to repairing the system. Never once did we feel like he was giving us the run-around, and ultimately he gave us his honest opinion on what action to take. Alfredo the supervisor was able to work with us with many flexible financing options, and even went back to the office to pick up a portable A/C unit to keep us cool. Nowel came to my house 3 separate times, the last 2 visits taking hours to try and diagnose the issues with the furnace. He was extremely thorough and even called in a second service tech to help figure things out at no extra charge. I appreciate the attention to detail and the commitment to the customer. He and the other tech discovered that the furnace had been improperly installed by the construction contractor when the house was built. The furnace had been frying itself for 4 years and had ruined the whole unit. I strongly urge anyone that has a newly built house, to call Access Heating techs in to come look at your unit, to verify that it is installed to run properly. Especially if your unit was installed by Legends Mechanical in the Boise area! They under-powered the unit by half the electrical load requirements for a dual zone, and had the gas pressure turned up to high. In this configuration it WILL PASS the city inspections, and it will run, but the clock is ticking… 4 years in my case. I had to buy a new unit in the end because it made more sense than a $4000 repair on just a few of the most critical components required to get us thru the winter. Bare in mind that service calls and repairs equal income for companies like Access, yet they openly told me that I could either spend the next few years keeping this unit going, but they recommend I replace it with one with a better warrantee.This is a long rant, but I want to save people with new houses the trouble, cost, and the shock of a “brand new” AC/furnace needing replacement. Spending the $99 to make sure your $10000 units don’t cook themselves is the best investment that I could have made when the house was new, had I known there are companies out there doing such shoddy installs for new construction! Call Access ASAP! They aren’t paying me to say this, I paid them! Haha

He explained what he was looking at and why. I always appreciate that someone will clearly explain and point things out, as I ask questions. I especially appreciated the frequent & accurate communication leading up to the technicians arrival, as well as James quality is diagnosing the issue and making clear recommendations. They’ll check the a/c and heating system properly where as the home builder inspectors will not, because they don’t understand how the systems work. If they did, they would have checked the system and noticed the collection of drywall inside of it. This slowed our airflow immensely and could have damaged the system over time. I had the opportunity to have Nowel Vincent come and do the system maintenance on my two furnaces in my house. He is the same technician that I had do my AC tune up as well, I dont know if Access heating and air tries to keep the same technicians with the same clients, but Ill tell you it was awesome having a familiar face come and do the work today instead of somebody new. I hung out with him again while he worked and chatted about family, work, and everything in between. He was even willing to try some Canadian treats I brought back from my honeymoon. As always everything was great and Im excited to see Nowel again for my AC tune up!

I have worked with many professional service suppliers over the years and I must give Derrick and the entire staff at Access Heating and Air the highest marks possible.I chose them to do an inspection for me on the heating systems in a house I am renting. I found their company name and contact on the furnace, as having worked on it previously, so I called. The young lady at the office (wish I could remember her name) was very professional and responsive and was able get me right on the schedule. She listened to me when I described what I needed to be looked at. They showed up when promised, they wore protective gear to not get carpets or anything dirty. These guys were awesome! Our ancient wall furnace died last week at the most inopportune time. I called in the morning, and by the end of the day, a tech arrived to see what he could do. The news wasnt good...the furnace was dead, and there was no choice other than replacing it.The next morning, James called and we talked about the options available, not only for the replacement but also for financing. Even while I was dealing with arranging financing, James had everything ordered and the installation scheduled for the first available opening.The guys arrived right on time this morning and had everything done by early afternoon. They were fast, polite, respectful, and they had a great sense of humor (which you have to have to work on anything having to do with this old house of ours).I cant recommend Access Heating and Air highly enough.
