We have an 1800’s farmhouse which required an overhaul of our existing duct system, a new furnace, new air condition unit and propane line installation. I stopped in to ask for help assessing my mother’s oil furnace explosion, and management directed their top project mgr . To visit that same afternoon, and complete a solution to provide heat to an elderly woman as quickly as possible . And during this session in my mother’s basement , we were joined on the telephone by the companies President, CEO and founder to contribute to finding the best solution . He also got involved to massage their schedules , and personnel to put a priority on this job so and elderly woman would have heat again .and make her home habitable again . In my 42 years in industry , dealing with CEO’s to people working on the manufacturing floor, everyone had time to complain but very few took time to compliment a job well done . Well I want to compliment the founder on a job well done ., creating a company culture that is customer focused , responsive, professional and friendly . All of the employees that I met and dealt with explemplfys this culture and represents the company well .

Our outdoors HVAC unit fan motor quit around 4 pm on July 16. It was repaired by 7 pm. The service was excellent from the phone call reporting the issue, to contacting the on-call tech, to delivery of the new motor to our house, to completion of the repair. All on a very hot day. We have used Zimmerman as our electric and plumbings since we bought our Mechanicsburg home in 2015. This is an excellent example of why. Tremendous job!

The good people at Zimmerman installed an AC unit and a heat pump in our home in Camp Hill last September. Sort of a longish story about possible leaks, testing, manufacturers warranties--I can spare you all that and cut to the chase--throughout, everyone has been professional and responsive. At one point the owner called my wife (from vacation) to tell her hed be sure everything turned out right. This past visit he took the time to call the office about an incorrect estimate about my mini-splits and had the estimate corrected and suggested a plan of action for this summer to clean the minis when the AC unit gets checked. He explained he had been close by and decided to see whether I was home and was interested in having him conduct the maintenance I had requested. I now have a thermostat that senses conditions on both first and second floors of my condo and automatically adjusts to ensure both are comfortable. Our AC blower fan motor started making loud bumping sounds and I called Zimmerman HPAC to come out and evaluate the motor sounds and they responded the very next day and as I suspected the motor definitely needed replacing (bad bearings). Unfortunately, this was on a Friday and when they searched for a replacement motor none were available locally and one had to be ordered. Today the motor arrived and Zimmerman sent a senior AC technician out and he removed and replaced the motor fully tested the entire AC system and we are back up and running like new. I had them come out to my house because the line out to the septic tank clogged and then backed up and drained into the basement when we used the water anywhere in the house. I called at 12am and they were here and done by 3pm the same day. So they first had to locate my septic tank which was about 20 ft from the house. Then they just opened the service port in the sewer line in my basement that goes to the septic tank and used a large drain snake to clear the clog which they were able to do easily. The guys were dressed and acted professional. Everything with their service is perfect other than the price. I paid $736 for the service called “clear sewer drain clog to septic tank up to 120 feet” I probably used 10-20 feet of snake so I believe I could have had this done for way less but I am just accepting that I paid for prompt and professional service and I’m okay with that

They were able to have a technician come look in under 2 hours, even after was told they were really booked and would likely be the next day to get someone out. The technician was very professional, covered shoes before walking through the house. Gave a thorough assessment and options. Since Zimmerman had not done the original install, the tech told me it was under warranty and what I could do to pursue that or Zimmerman could have a new unit in today. The technician was helpful in getting me all of the information needed to pursue the warranty replacement even though that would not involve Zimmerman. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional!!

I am new to the area and I actually had three specific task that I needed done, and Zimmerman Plumbing and heating was highly recommended. I needed a new toilet to replace a 60 year old 5 gallon flush toilet, inspect and clean my oil fired furnace and some electrical work. Mr Zimmerman came to the house looked at everything that I needed done. Scheduled all the work to be done on the same date. I have been with Zimmerman HVAC since 2002.... I have purchased their PMA services for that entire time. I have received my PMA renewal and my furnace service has increased 4% (which I find very acceptable) yet the PMA renewal on my hanging heaters have increased 63%...... making my entire bill at a 30% increase. In questioning my service with the Zimmerman office I was told that the price has not been increase in a few years....... and that the price holds.... this now forces me to look for another service provider..... too bad for me (because of my loyalty to Zimmermans for 20+ years does not mean anything) or too bad for Zimmermans for loosing a valued customer.....In the end LOYALTY DOES PAY.... the Zimmerman Office did investigate my concerns and stated there was miscalculationin my hanging heater billing, which an adjustment was made and the increase was brought to an acceptable level....Still a long time customer!

I was left with no surprises. Zimmermans installed our gas hot water heater in the mid 1990s and I cannot recall any serious problem ever. I praise the company for their integrity and care for their customers.

My husband and I just moved into our home last week and noticed a leaky basement sink and there was no washer connection. We quickly got an appointment for an estimate, and Bill was back the next day for the job. He was very polite, professional, and got the work done sooner than expected! We’re very pleased with the results and will definitely hire Zimmerman again for future plumbing and HVAC needs.

We are very, very happy with the professional service we received from Zimmerman. Our techinician, Garrett was very efficient and polite and got tne job done so fast. We have a lot more work to be done at our house and hope to have him back everytime until it is all finished.

My cousin and I have used Zimmermans for several years now for all our household needs, especially after a fiasco with another well-known outfit who tried to charge almost $900 to replace a kitchen faucet and could not answer two simple questions:1) why was the faucet so expensive ($450-$600) and 2) why so much for labor? They were told never mind. When I got home & found out about the cost, my question was, was the faucet solid gold?!? No, it wasnt! We were able to get a single lever faucet for less than $100 and it only cost $50 to be installed. After all of this, we decided to go with Zimmermans because they have always, always treated us fairly and never like we are old ladies and dont have a brain (the old parts true, but neither of us is stupid!). Everyone associated with Zimmermans has been extremely nice and are willing to work with our schedules as we are willing to work with theirs.
