We had a plumbing emergency where water was coming up the drain in our basement, so I called and they were able to send someone the same day. Tyrus (hope I spelled correctly) was great! He did a thorough inspection of our plumbing and septic tank to determine what the issue was and was able to clear the drain. He also used a camera to show us what could be a potential problem in the future. I will definitely work with them again and recommend their services.

Every plumbing technician I’ve ever worked with from Mr Rooter has been great! Most recently I’ve worked with Art and today, Tyrese (spelling?) even Julia and I’m so sorry, I cannot recall the other woman in the office… have just been so nice and very accommodating. Just an fyi for any non Mr. Rooter employees who read this, I own/help manage some rentals. I’m not insinuating that I need the plumber all the time… each incident has been resolved to the fullest without need for a call back each time. Ha!

Scheduling with Mr. Rooter was a breeze, and I was happy to get a technician to come out the day after we called. The tech was punctual, professional, and went the extra mile in unclogging a stubborn kitchen sink clog. He explained what the problem was and how he had to go about clearing the clog. We now have perfectly draining water in the kitchen sink for the first time in months!

Called another local plumber for emergency sewage backup into the house repair around 11:30pm and was sent to voicemail. Called Mr. Rooter and got someone to speak to. They assured me they would call the individual on call and try their best to get out to me that night. Within 15 minutes I received a call back informing me that they would be on their way. 15 minutes prior to ETA, I received a call from the tech telling me they were 15 minutes out - so great communication throughout.The tech, Zach, was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and fixed our issue fast. After cleaning out the clog, was able to view the camera to see it was all clear and the condition of my plumbing which is extremely helpful - not only for peace of mind, but also the recommendations on routine maintenance that can be completed to forgo this situation in the future.Greatly appreciated the prompt and polite service - will use again for maintenance and repair in the future.

I needed my inside and part of my outside sewer lines replaced. I was calling for estimates and when I spoke to Mr Nelson, owner, we were scheduling a time for an estimate and just talking about everything that was going on. I told him how swamped I was with work and meetings and he said to me “well you worry about your meetings and let me worry about your sewer”. I knew at that time I was going with them! No service business has ever said that to me! I know it doesn’t seem like a lot, but his recognition of my busy schedule and the stress I was feeling made the difference. Through the entire process the team was remarkable. They explained what could be done and gave me a quote the day they came out. Not an estimate, but an actual quote on the complete price. They were transparent with individual pricing and costs. When they came to do the work, they were thoughtful about entering my home and cleaning up, were professional, and most of all, they got the work done much quicker than I was anticipating. I know it is only “white pipe”, but it all looks great and I don’t have to go down to my cellar every day just to make sure I don’t have any leaks! I definitely recommend them and will call them again for my next plumbing issue!! Thank you all so much!!

We had a backup with our sewer line on a Saturday (not exactly what you want to be dealing with on your day off). Quickly trying to scramble to find a plumbing company that would be available, I found Mr. Rooter online. I called in and was provided great customer service which put me at ease right away. I was assured that they would be able to come out that day and fix the issue. The individual I spoke with gave me an estimated timeframe of when the technician would arrive which was shortly after I initially called in. The technician was on another job and was running a little behind (only about 20-30 mins), but I was immediately contacted to let me know. Rather than not being contacted at all and waiting hours with an unknown time of arrival as I have experienced with other companies in the past... very frustrating!The technician (Vern) arrived and provided excellent service. He was friendly, professional, patient with all of our questions, and was very informed as he explained how our system works as well as all of the different options we had to resolve the problem. We have an older home with 50s terra-cotta pipes and so we knew at some point we would have to replace our mainline due to invasive roots. Vern provided a detailed estimate of the cost (which was very reasonable considering the cost estimates I have researched) and again explained the entire process so we knew what to expect. Based on our positive experience with Vern and Mr. Rooter, we are confident that we will get the same quality service when we move forward with replacing the pipe. (I will provide a follow up review once that is finished).

Had a major issue with my sewer line inside my basement on a saturday morning. Waiting 2 hours for the tech(Mark) to come. He was fast, efficient, and able to help me patch it to get me through the weekend. Also spent time with me discussing options for a permanent repair. Because every other plumber wont come out for emergencies unless your part of their club they got my business for the emergency call, and will get my business for the actual repair because of this.Update: Just spoke with a scheduler who was amazing. She originally wasnt able to get me in until Friday but was able to talk to the tech and work me in Tuesday as I have an appliance being delivered, and a patched sewer line. Amazing company and employees!

Today they replaced my expansion tank, T&P valve, and a natural gas line to my water heater. Throughout the whole process they were honest, professional, and provided useful information about the water heater repair services I actually needed. Responsive and helpful office staff. Their pricing was all up-front and was very reasonable. Mr. Rooter is now my new plumber that I will call whenever I need any plumbing services. Highly recommend their team. We so appreciate the kindness, attention to detail, and responsiveness of the entire team at Mr. Rooter of Central PA. When our year started off with a surprise sewage draining issue, Mike from Mr. Rooter came out to snake the drain because we thought we had a partial blockage. We had had this issue in the past and Mr. Rooter has always been able to help us out.When this didnt seem to fix the issue, Mike came right back out the very next day for further investigation and quickly diagnosed the problem as being our main sewage trap. Mike took the time to explain what was going on with the plumbing, so I as a homeowner felt that I had a better understanding of the problem. We got scheduled for an estimate and a repair quickly, thanks to Julia at the office.When the day of our actual repair came, Rob and Zach came out to replace our sunken sewage trap. They dug the nicest, neatest hole in our yard that Ive ever seen and completed the repair in less than a day, keeping me updated with their progress the entire time.We are so grateful to the professionals at Mr. Rooter of Central PA for their stellar customer service and speedy turnaround in fixing our plumbing woes. Special shout out to Mike for his quick thinking and subject matter knowledge, as well as his kindness and patience in helping us understand the issue. Let me preface this review by stating I have used numerous other contractors in the area for a variety of different projects. I am so happy I finally connected with Mr. Rooter. I had been dealing with a poorly flushing toilet at my property. I had a service tech come out and we discovered I had a venting issue. I took care of that and things were good for a few months. Fast forward to the toilet is now not flushing at all. I contacted Mr. Rooter in the early evening and unfortunately they could not get there til the next day. I ended up dealing with not one but two incompetent companies with issues ranging from poor communication to just not taking the time to properly address the issue, roots infiltrating the main line in the yard. This cost me two days having a house with no flushing toilet and poorly draining sinks. Fortunately I was able to get on their schedule for a Friday afternoon appointment. The service techs worked hard to break through the roots to at least get the line open for the weekend. Monday they were back to water jet the line to clear out all remaining roots and build up collected in an old cast iron to clay line. The cost of both service calls were hundreds less than one quote I received from a tech who was supposed to open the line the week before and just could not pull it off. I will not name the other companies but Mr. Rooter is now the only company I will refer my own personal clients to. Communication is key to a happy customer and I am very satisfied with everyone I have dealt with from the office staff to the service techs that have been to the property.

We had misplaced a needed part and he offered to have a look for it - in just 3-4 minutes he found it which saved us quite a bit of money! This company was great. They came and looked at my issue.I suggested snaking the pipes and they advised the hydro process. Yes it was more money but 1/4 of the time to do and the success rate was higher. So it was potentially less cost if tge snaking went as long as estimated if I went the potentially cheaper route.They called and showed up earlier then their estimated time and 2 hours later were done.Im very satisfied with this service and already advised friends on this company and process so they can use them too!Very pleased!

With the current situation surrounding us with COVID-19 is not the time to have your toilet randomly stop working and overflow! It was a Sunday night at 8:45 pm we decided to call in reinforcement and wanted to leave a message so they could contact on the following business day. However, they returned our call immediately. They schedule us the very next day with a one hour window of arrival. AWESOME!! But it gets better....they contacted us to state they had a driver that could sooner....great. Then that driver called us to confirm when he 30 mins away. We havent even seen anyone yet and the customer service is impressive.Upon arrival Dwight introduced himself and was wearing a mask (COVID-19). We explained our situation and he empathized with us that we were experiencing this but assured us he would get us taken care of.After three hours of not giving up and continuously reassuring us and keeping us informed and educated on what was going on...backup was called to bring in additional support. Same intro, Michael came prepared with a mask and introduced himself. The level of communication was impressive to watch and sooooo professional. They continued to work and always kept us aware of the next step if there was an additional cost.Our problem was MUCH BIGGER than ever could be expected. They returned the following day and after 2 hours we were fixed!! There was a moment we thought they would have to blast into our concrete floor in the basement.Sorry for the long review but we could not be more impressed with the customer service, communication, professionalism, education and guidance they have provided. They were able to get someone out earlier than the scheduled time. Once the tech arrived everything was very smooth and professional. Upfront pricing is a great plus, and the tech was able to get the job done for the quoted price in a fair amount of time. If the schedule coordination could be corrected, I would have given 5 stars .

I had a very troubling root issue with the lateral to our citys main sewer line on a Saturday.Mr Rooter sent technician Matt Bowen over and he was fantastic. he was very Professional and did a fantastic job. He pulled multiple feet of ugly roots and kept working till we finally heard a burp and the line cleared. I would recommend Mr Rooter to everyone and will be contacting them again for any of my plumbing needs.

I actually did not end up using Mr. Rooter after I got a second opinion on my problem, however the first gentleman they sent out to evaluate my problem was very polite and definitley was looking out for ME the customer. He had to cut a small hole in my basement wall which he needed to do to try and see what was going on. He couldnt really see much he said but he thought I had a broken pipe. This cost me $99.00 for the service call which later I found out he misdiagnosed the problem which I didnt know to I had another company come out & give me a second opinion. Anyhow when Mr. Rooter sent out a second gentleman the next day to give me an estimate, this guy was not looking out for ME the customer at all. He would ask me where something was, but not go look at it. Never once did he say it could just be a clog in the pipe. He said I had a broken pipe and without being able to see it behind the wall he figured my estimate to be close to $3000.00. That same day I had another company come out and I explained everything to him. He asked me the same questions Mr. Rooters estimate guy did, but he went outside and looked at things & did a process of elimination until he determined I had just a clog and he could snake my pipe which would cost me $219.00 verses $3000.00?!? I went with that company & my problem was solved.Now as far as Mr. Rooter, I called them later that day and the receptionist who answers the phone listened to everything I had to say and she was VERY helpful and said that she would pass my concerns on to the owners and that one of them would call me back. I was asking for my $99.00 back and that I felt their estimator guy needed some attention. Within 48 hours one of the owners did call me and he too listened to all of my concerns and he apologized for what had hapened and said that he would make sure I was returned my $99.00. Hopefully this was just an isolated incident. Mr. Rooter has been in business for many years and like I said other than that one person, everyone else that I dealt with was super nice and very helpful.Sincerely,Satisfied Customer

Plumber Mark Morela came out to install a kitchen faucet, an instant hot water dispenser, a bathroom faucet, and to add a clean out under my kitchen sink for easy access if I need to have my drain line cabled for a blockage, which happens from time to time. He was pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable, and had the job finished in 2 1/2 hours, which was a pleasant surprise. After he had gone I noticed my hot water supply line under the bathroom sink had a slow leak in it, which I was told later is fairly common when you use an older line with a new faucet. I called Mr. Rooter and before the day was over they sent out another plumber to take care of this small issue. I will definitely use this company again, and feel the price was fair for the amount of work performed. A month later no problems whatsoever, and love my new faucets and instant hot water. Hoping I never have to use the clean out, but nice to know its there if I do!

But lets put it this way, Roto-Rooter (who’s technicians are paid on commission) quoted me at $5100 to replace my sewer pipes. Mr. Rooter assessed the same pipes one year later and told me that the pipes looked fine and did not require replacing. Great service, just wicked expensive. Almost double what Roto-Rooter was charging for the video camera assessment.

I had the best experience with Mr. Rooter! Dwight provided exceptional service! He let me know what was causing my basement drain to leak water. Then explained everything he was going to do.
