    Water heater went out evening of Dec. 23. Contacted A-1 at about 7 pm. Promptly received a return call. Had us take pictures and provide information to ensure they had everything. They got to ourhouse around 9 am on Christmas Eve. Took care of everything as promised. Would have been amazing service any day of the year. However, to get this level of service on Christmas Eve was just outstanding. Truly above and beyond. We are especially grateful for the hot showers we get to take before going to Christmas parties.

    Mike is the best!!! A-1 Plumbing is the way to go. He was able to resolve our broken main water shut off ball valve in just about one hour, including shutting off the water at the street, replacing the valve, turning water back on, and testing to ensure no leaks. The kindest and most professional contractor that Marion and the surrounding area has to offer.

    Mike and Seth were awesome, came out on Wednesday to verify what the problem was. Took the Fourth of July off and were back in on Friday to solve the problem of my water main leaking. Got it done within 35 minutes. Very fair pricing and respectful people. They CAN shut your water off so you don’t even have to call the water company yourself!

    Took a shower this morning and only had warm water. This cant be good. I checked my water heater and the pilot light wouldnt light. I tried several times. I knew I had a problem. I called A1 Plumbing because a good friend had recommended them and I spoke with the owner Mike. Hes been in business for 51 years, longer than Ive been alive. I told him the type of water heater I had and that it was 20 years old and he told me what the problem was more than likely, because he has been in business for 51 years...... So with the fact that a water heater can last between 8-12 years or 15-20 years I figured it was best to get a new one. Mike said that he could install a new water heater later that day after 2 oclock. I agreed and within 15 or 20 minutes I got a call back that they would be headed over within half an hour. Well it was more like 10 or 15 minutes and they were at my door ready to go. Needless to say, Mike and his crew were courteous, kind, and professional. They even installed a bigger tank than I had before. This is the type of company and people I love dealing with. Prompt and friendly service from a local company, an owner and his crew, who do quality work for their community. Thanks to A1 plumbing. You have a customer for life.

    Our water heater broke and I called Mike yesterday, on a Sunday. He picked up immediately and was able to get me appointment for the following day (today). He went as far as to come earlier than his earliest appointment so that I would have hot water today. I work from home and Mike was incredibly respectful of my time and space. He and Bill were in and out in an hour. It felt like I was getting taken care of by my own dad, he was very thoughtful in answering all of my questions. Great price for the expert advice and quality water heater (he only installs water heaters he himself would use and trust to keep running for decades). We are new homeowners and new to the area and will be using A-1 plumbing for all of our repairs in the future. Huge endorsement!

    Well it would not let me add a 2nd review so I just had to expand on this one. Mike and Josh did an excellent job once again with repairing and installing our toilet, as well as replacing our tub faucet insides. Always a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend if you are in need of any plumbing or heating repairs! Mike and company did a fantastic job! Always fair and does great quality work! Mike gave me a quote and the work he ended up doing was not what was quoted...it was less! Where do you find that these days? Very happy and would recommend!

    Mike and his crew replaced a water heater in my Moms house. In and out in about 90 minutes. Mike has about 50 years of experience and said hes installed over 23,000 water heaters in his career, so that 90 minute time frame is not a rush job. They triple checked for any water/gas leaks before they left. A really solid group of guys who will show up when they say they are going to show up, and get the job done correctly. I can highly recommend them for your plumbing needs. They use Rheem water heaters.

    Seth and Mike are amazing. They came out same day and were able to install a new water heater for us so that we could have hot water.     I was fortunate to have someone recommend A1 Plumbing to me during issues I was having with water lines. Mike was so helpful on the phone trying to help me out even when the job was not something they handle. Fast forward to needing a new hot water tank so I called.     Mike and Seth were great. Very timely and professional. I had pipes under my sink that needed replaced and also needed an issue with my hot water heater looked at. They were able to address both issues and educate me on what caused the original issue so I know for the future.     HIGHLY recommend A1 Plumbing! Support local small town businesses and get great service! Most know our downstairs den flooded on Saturday morning. We called Mike from A1 plumbing and he called us back quickly. He only had Tuesday morning opened but after he juggled some things he called back to move our appointment to Monday morning. He has worked on so many homes in the colonial acres area he knew exactly over the phone where our water heater was located. He told Shaun the plan for when he arrived and let me tell you this, He arrived at 730 on the dot(maybe few minutes before) and he got to work! He told us he uses commercial heating tanks that last and actually replaced the one with same one we had previously(old one was 18years old) he and his partner got the job done quickly, pleasant man and great conversation! so please if you need a plumbing repair you won’t regret using A1plumbing!!

    There are lots I could say about Mike and his team, but I’ll start with they were fast, affordable, efficient, personable and reliable. My house is on a slab I had a leaky hose faucet with no access to the main water pipes. They created an access panel for me and switch out the leaky faucet in about an hour! Would highly recommend their services to anyone!

    My sump pump burned up recently and my basement flooded after heavy rains. I called Mike and he arrived at my house quickly. He gave up his Friday night. He was very honest and courteous. It took him no time to install the pump. I think he could have done it with his eyes closed. You can tell he cares about his work as he went back down to make sure the pump was still working before he left. I have used A-1 Plumbing in the past to replace many of my plumbing appliances/fixtures. Mike and Chris have always done a stellar job. They have years of experience and great knowledge of their trade. I trust them and recommend them your #1 choice for your every plumbing need.

    Our sump pump went out and he couldn’t get us in for a couple days. Understanding the importance of this for our basement he was able to move us up in his schedule. Mike and his crew were phenomenal! They came back out a couple days later to fix a leaking pipe. One of the nicest guys you will meet! We will never call another plumber.     Mike and his team is Fabulous. We called late Monday afternoon and they were able to arrive that Wednesday morning.     UPDATE February 28, 2023: Had a water pipe burst while I was in the hospital during our rent freeze so it had been running for quite some time. It was in very difficult place to get to in a crawl space. Mike and Seth came out right away and had it fixed in no time. They continued to be extremely professional and the cost was more than reasonable.Class act all around. Mike is extremely professorial and timely. He and his team do great work at a very reasonable price. A-1 is the only plumbing company I will use for any future jobs!

    Mike and his crew installed new heating/air conditioning units in our 2 previous homes. They have also done other smaller jobs over the years including new hot water tanks, pressure tanks, etc. It is easy to tell that Mike genuinely cares about people and loves helping them with their plumbing problems.     Very kind and professional from the time I talked to them on the phone till they finished the job. My sump pump had quit working so I had a flooded basement. They came as soon as they could and had it all fixed so quickly. I have a good size basement and at least a foot of water through the whole thing so they left after they installed the pump and told me it might take a couple of hours for all the water to go down but to give them a call if I had anymore trouble. The water was actually all gone in an hour but that evening the phone rang and it was Mike checking to make sure everything was still OK. I was really impressed that he took the time and cared enough to follow up that very evening. I highly recommend A1 plumming 🙂

    Good quality work went out of there way to help me on other issues too.. they were on time and got the job done fast which saved me the headache of doing it myself. I did think the price was a little high but who am I to say with the price of everything these days so I totally understand on that. A few small things I didn’t like was they left the trash circles and shavings all over my floor from the 2 holes they drilled thru the wood for the new washer drain plus all the shavings from the pvc pipe they cut all over my things sitting on the floor (I probly should’ve moved the stuff so that’s kind on me) not that big of a deal I just cleaned it up when I got home from work but the main thing that could’ve been bad was they left the drain hose from the washer so loose in the drain if I would’ve ran it it would’ve came out and sprayed water all over my basement so I had to reroute the drain hose and move my washer to make the line tight so it wouldn’t come out I mean I can’t really expect them to move my washer for me just wish they would’ve said something about the line being so loose… in the end I would definitely recommend these people and if I have any issues I would hire them again for sure

    I would leave a 10 star review, but it will only let me leave 5. Mike responded to my call very fast and was out here the next morning. We got billed $1200 forour water bill in 15 days, so I called Al plumbing to check our house out for leaks. He was very professional and did a run through to our lines, but he didnt find anything. He made suggestions on some of our water lines to prevent our lines freezing in the winter. Mike made a call to our water company and we got our water bill fixed within an hour. Weve been waiting 8 days for our water bill to get fixed and if he didnt call in I dont think it wouldve been fixed. The water company had been toying with us saying we must have a leak and our bill was our problem. Mike helped them clear up that we didnt have a leak, so then the water company realized it was a meter issue. We are very blessed to have him help us out, and will be calling him for any water line problems we may have in the future. I highly suggest you give him a call with any water issues. Thanks, Mike!

    Mike and Bill replaced our kitchen sink, kitchen faucet, drain pipes and strainers and did a wonderful job. I am 100 percent satisfied and they were a pleasure to work with.     We noticed a leak from our water heater on our way out of town on vacation. They were super nice and told me what to do and call them when we get back. 1 week later I called as soon as we got back and they came immediately and quickly fixed it.     So the initial call was about a small leak in the water pressure relief tank on our water heater, that led to the discovery that our home was hooked directly to the street waterflow and then to our meter and shut-off after the water heater. Long story short the place was near flooded and one man had to strong arm and cross thread a relief tank on to slow the pressure until the water company could shut off the flow and then they installed proper shut offs and a new relief tank. All in all it was a great time and they were much more upset over it than we were. 5/5

    Finally putting n this well deserved review! This company was referred to me many yrs ago, n the 90s to b exact, after buying my home here. I came from the country but worked here & I needed a plumber but new to the community I knew no one honest or reputable until a co-worker highly recommended A1 plumbing to me. It was Chris (his son)who 1st appeared at my door but he wanted his dad (Mike) to look at my problem. He came a day or so later after Id gotten off work, appearing at my door with a huge kind smile & asked to see the problem. Amazing enough he fixed my problem & n just a few min was done! Didnt take long at all! I later had a water leak so called them to check it out for me. Im on a slab so it was a bigger job than i expected bc they had to trace the leak & reroute it. It had to b run on the external side of my wall up close to the ceiling but they encased the pipe n a beautifully made to fit, stained wood encasement! Still beautiful to this day! So Ive seen thru the yrs their work for ppl is important & doing a good job to please them is priority! They are honest, reputable & you will recieve their most utmost & best work! I even got an xtra perk! Hes an amazing Born Again Christian man whom actually thru his witness led me to the Lord! We called Mike Jenner at A-Plumbing and asked if he could give us a quote to put a half bath in that space. Mike and Josh were on time for the work. They installed a toilet and vanity with sink. They had to run water lines and drains. They turned our empty space into a beautiful bathroom. They were very reasonably priced. They cleaned up any mess that they had. We are very pleased with the room.

    I have been trying for 2 months to get a plumber to fix my shower drain. Three plumbers have tried to fix it and it was still leaking after spending around 400.00 to 600.00.     I called A1 plumbing after the water company traced a leak to my home and I cannot say enough good things about Mike and his team. They did an amazing job at a very reasonable price, well below what others quoted for the work. My home is 100 years old with a flagstone basement, no access to the crawl space, a tight fence on the water line side, and with the sewage and gas lines running right overtop of the main. They did an incredible job navigating these obstacles to replace my main, even creating an access point to the crawl space and removing part of the fence themselves, all with professionalism and great attitudes. When they were done they were even kind enough to put my fence back up and they left my property as neat as can be. Im so glad I called Mike for this job and will be calling him for any future plumbing needs.
