    I strongly recommend Balance Point HVAC. I have been a Balance Point customer for many years. They were recommended to me over ten years ago by a plumber at Master Mechanical I met at a yoga class. For years they kept my old boiler going when other companies wouldn’t. I appreciate that.Recently, David and Ryan checked on the boiler and we decided that it wasn’t worth repairing anymore. It lasted fifty three years. Nick their salesman came out and came up with a plan for mini splits instead of another boiler. He is an expert on these things and very thorough. He’s also a very nice hardworking guy. He answered my questions and came up with the best option. He patiently let me hem and haw about such a large investment. He also helped me arrange the financing and talked to the HOA. They have never answered my calls. Once I decided to pull the trigger and squared away the money, a date was quickly set and Anthony and a different Ryan came out and worked for four days on the project. It was much more involved than I had imagined. They are very nice hard working guys. Anthony was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions. They also did an exterior vented range hood for me. It was a tricky job and it turned out well. So, I was very happy with them. The electrician, Eric, put a line from the fuse box through the ceiling to the outside. He did excellent work and was neat. I did the painting to match on the exterior.A week or so later I had some questions about a sound I heard late in the night. The first Ryan checked it out and explained it. He also noticed that my toilet tank was loose and told me how to fix it. I took care of it successfully.When I call Balance Point, a person, usually Larry, answers and is friendly and polite. I really appreciate getting a person instead of an automated system. Karen in the office helped me with paperwork and financing. She was very helpful and nice.As for the system itself, I got the best Mitsubishi hyper heats that money can buy. I’ve been using them for some heat. It’s been mild recently. They worked during the cold snap. My room which was always cold before was comfortable. I’m excited about being comfortable when the weather gets really hot. In the past, my place has been miserably hot in the summer.I don’t have any direct experience heating with the mini splits when it’s extremely cold but Excel took my meter, so I’m committed. Maybe I’ll write an update next spring.So, in a nutshell, Balance Point does good work and they are good folks. I didn’t even get a second opinion. That may not be for everyone, but I knew that I was going to go with them even if they weren’t the cheapest. I strongly recommend them. ❤️

    Due to the age of my cooling/heating system, I had a completely new HVAC system installed, furnace and air conditioner with heat pump. Nick, the project manager, was my first Balance Point contact, and he was excellent. He explained in detail how the system works, provided a video demonstration and the levels of systems available with pricing. Steele, Ryan, Anthony, and Brock were efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They explained everything as they worked and provided updates frequently, which I really appreciated. We are now enjoying a clean, quiet, and comfortable home thanks to their expertise. The whole team at Balance Point is great to work with from point of contact to installation.     We had two units and a house fan added to our home with no AC about last month that have been great so far. Nick was our PM and helped decide best placement for our current and future needs. Steele led install and both were great to work with. Everything went on schedule and install looks neat along the house. With the weather were having we are so glad we installed these when we did and definitely would add more with Balance Point in the future!

    First off I must say that as a homeowner, and Building Contractor for over 3o years, I have worked with many Subcontractors and I am extremely demanding regarding services provided.Saying that, I am pleased to say that Balance Point Heating & Air Conditioning deserves 6 Stars!!!This project consisted of the following;1. Removal of 51 year old American Standard Boiler and associated components, removal of standard water heater.2. Installation of Navien wall mounted combination Boiler (providing baseboard heat and domestic hot water)3. Installation of a Mitsubishi Hyper Heat Pump and one wall mounted, and one recessed ceiling indoor units.4. Installation of a Stealth Pro whole house fan.Enough about the components, now for the process;A. We met originally with Nick who is on the design end of things. We discussed the various options with Nick who did a thorough job of reviewing our spaces and the existing equipment. He provided us with a design and an estimate of the costs. He is extremely thorough, courteous and provided guidance throughout the project for the field installers and us.B. The two Technicians who did the install went beyond the call of duty in terms of promptness, protection of the property, and because of the complexity of the project worked with our permission to 7:00 pm some evenings to get the project completed as soon as possible.C. It is clear to my wife, and I that Balance Point takes extreme pride in their people and the work that they do.     My 16 year old mini-split ductless system was installed by Balance Point Heating and Air, and theyve maintained it ever since. Well, it was finally time to replace the system with a new one, so I asked Callen Kusmik for a proposal, and he sent the proposal that same day!Balance Point wasnt the cheapest proposal, but given the history Ive had with them, and the fact that Callen was able to schedule the install to happen in only two weeks, he assured me theyd have all of the hardware ready to go. I had several questions about the proposal, and Callen responded within minutes of each. This is why I chose Balance Point.Install day comes, and as promised, and on time, Julio and Anthony tour the system, and get right to work. I felt 100% comfortable running errands, and letting them get to work. At every turn, they were polite, professional, and answered any questions I had.I requested that they keep the front door shut to keep the kitties in, and they did as such. They even cleaned up each evening so that the install areas were cleaner than when they started! The install took 2.5 days as they promised.I cant give enough kudos to Anthony and Julio in how they conducted themselves, and the degree of professionalism was truly an inspiration to watch unfold. They even had to deal with some nosey neighbors asking questions, and they did exactly what I requested, which was to refer these neighbors to myself.I cant speak highly enough of my entire experience with this AC system upgrade. Not only was the service absolutely top notch, but I had installed 2 tons of AC with four zones of mini split ductless in place of the old system (Mitsubishi), and I couldnt be more pleased with how the AC system is functioning. It works exactly as advertised.I know that if I were to have any trouble, Balance Point will answer the call, respond immediately, and send someone right away.If you want to support a local company who treats their employees right (I grilled Julio and Anthony on how they felt about working for Balance Point, and what they thought of their management, and they honestly reported they feel valued, and trusted as employees, and truly enjoy working for Balance Point. Icing on the cake for me.)I feel great about my investment, and Callen promised me, well hit this out of the park for you, David. And they absolutely did.If your AC system needs maintained, or checked up for summer, do it now with Balance Point. Theyll be responsive, truthful, helpful, and courteous.     6/5/19: We have been customers of Balance Point for years. Consistently GREAT customer service. Jim was out today for our annual air conditioning tune up. I recognized him from our furnace tune up several months ago. He always takes the time to be thorough in his work and makes sure our questions get answered. He is also hilarious!9/19/19: We had our new furnace installed two days ago with a follow up appointment today. The entire process start to finish was a piece of cake! From meeting with Callen Kusmik to pick the best furnace for the right price, to scheduling and payment with Jackee McCormick, to the installation with Travis Wallace and A.J. Avila, to the commissioning appointment with Kevin Durant, we were treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism! We will continue to be clients for years to come! And, can I say how cool it is that I can adjust the temperature on the Smart Thermostat from my iPhone at home or away?!?

    Balance point helped us to move from an aging, oversized A/C system to a more appropriately sized air source heat pump (with a more efficient furnace for adjunct heat). Nick did a great job assessing our existing duct structure and capacity to size the new system to our house. His knowledgeable help to balance all of the options was invaluable.When the time came to install the new system, Kevin and Steel took great care to remove the old system and install the furnace and heat pump. Their craftsmanship was excellent, and their explanation of the functionality of the new thermostat and system settings were great!The new system works very nicely and is much quieter than the original system that came with the house (both mechanical noise and reduction of turbulent airflow in the ducts). I havent had a chance to test the cooling capability yet, but I look forward to doing that. Working with the Balance Point team has been a great experience, and I felt well supported.

The installation is a work of art with exceptional attention to details. Most review of quality HVAC equipment tend to be favorable. Issues seem to be a result of improper installation. BP H&C seem to know what to focus on to insure problem free performance. Even a nice box to hold all the pertinent documents.

    Balance Point installed our entire HVAC system on our remodel 11 years ago and did a terrific job. Got us into a 90% efficient Furnace and did all of the venting etc. Over the years they have maintained the system and have done a great job. Our AC just went out after 15 years and I called them Monday evening and they were able to come out the next day and fix the issue (capacitor was blown out). Super happy with their promptness, knowledge and expertise. I would recommend them.

    Our 100 year old house was gas heated and had no air conditioning. The need for air conditioning became a concern for us. Converting to a ducted heat pump system provided a way to meet coming needs. Balance Point did a great job on this project. Nick carefully studied our house to design and size the system. Installation occurred over 3 days. Anthony and Kevin led effort. The workmanship was excellent, including some custom duct work that was required. They kept us informed about what was going on, and they did their best to minimize household disruption. It was a quality project from start to finish.

    I choose Balance Point because I have a Lennox furnace and a/c, was having an odd problem which may or may not have been a furnace issue, and being a premier lennox dealer they work on them a lot. I was not disappointed. The techs knew their stuff, listened to me, did a very thorough check and made a few minor adjustments and patiently walked me through everything and answered all of my questions. In the end, they helped me to confidently rule out the furnace as the source of my issue which is what I needed. They didnt try to up-sell me on anything and were very transparent on pricing. Ill certainly use them in the future.

    If you want your HVAC project done right, these are the guys to call! Things begin with a careful, expert assessment of your needs and your desires. Not theirs! Nick Mott is an engineer who knows his stuff. He assessed our needs, and thoughtfully discussed with me what I hoped to accomplish. He then did his considered research, and presented to me several options from Good, to Better, to Best. We had several follow-up calls regarding the pros and cons of the various alternatives; and, when I was ready, we agreed on a plan and proceeded.Balance Point’s scheduling and communication, between Karen and Larry, was really excellent. I was informed who and when to expect the technical crews, and those crews were always very prompt and prepared.We got very lucky when one of Balance Point’s lead technicians, Anthony SaintRoberts, arrived as scheduled to install our new HVAC system! Anthony is an impressively-skilled technician, and a super-pleasant gentleman! He really knows his stuff, and, just as important, he’s not satisfied until he completes the job properly, and I mean the entire job. He and the entire Balance Point organization will not leave you hanging.It was a very welcome surprise to have a detail-oriented, near-perfectionist like Anthony, with his assistant, Ryan, work our job! Our home has a fairly complex HVAC system, which includes a whole-house, originally-installed, radiant heat system. Anthony had to carefully integrate his air-handling system with our radiant system, and make sure that independent controls for each operated properly. He also integrated our old, whole-house steam humidifier, into the air-handler, and followed-up very quickly (with his associate, Steele) to help me with a very minor modification to keep it working as it should.Bottom-line, our mechanical room has never looked as neat, orderly, and well put together, as it now does! And, more importantly, the air quality, freshness, and comfort of our home’s indoor environment is now, maybe for the first time, working the way I had hoped it would.     I was deeply impressed from start to finish working with this company. Nick Mott, in particular, is an HVAC/housing air quality genius. They did exactly what they said they would do. Six zone mini-split heat pump installation, removal of old system, lots of challenging crawlspace work.Their access to Mitsubishi products, which are hard to get, was exceptional, and they worked fast and clean. The actual workers at our home were consummate professionals - easy to live with for the week that they were here. For anyone interested in the Efficiency Works rebate program, they are really good at getting this done, as well.Its a big expense to get this stuff done, and no small risk; I couldnt recommend this company and Nick Mott enough.

    Balance Point installed a Quiet Cool whole house fan for us and we had a great experience- they were able to get out quickly for the initial quote and Ben was great to work with - super knowledgeable and gave us options and explained things well. We were able to get the fan installed within a couple of days and the installers, Anthony and Alex, were complete pros and did a great job doing the install and cleaning up after. They made sure we understood how to operate the fan settings and remote and gave us tips for maintenance and answered all our questions. Overall we are happy with the service we received from Balance Point and would highly recommend them.

    Balance Point Heating installed a complete HAVAC system in my old 1951 cabin in a tight crawl space including an air handler, HEPA air filter, metal duct work and a heat pump. It was a tough job for many reasons including 9/30 deadline for rebates, a change to metal ducts to keep critters out and no less having to switch electricians because of a outrageous revised estimate. But the project manager Nick handled it all professionally and expeditiously. Always answered my questions to my satisfaction but most importantly got it done on time for rebates. He couldn’t have done it without lead installer Anthony, other technicians and of course the support of everyone at the office. Great team work! Thanks Nick. Steve

    Balance Point technicians (Ben, Mick, Anthony and Julio) were courteous and pleasant from the first. They were prompt and professional from providing our bid through installation. They installed our whole house and attic fans in a relatively short time (3 hours) and carefully cleaned up afterwards. They were very responsive to any questions and concerns and instructed us in system operation. Fan openings into the house are unobtrusive and nice looking, and the fans are running quietly.     We discovered a little problem with the condensation drain on one of our room units. We called Balance Point for service. They had a technician on a job in our area and made every effort to expedite our call. Dave Crownover came over directly following his scheduled service call. Dave quickly diagnosed the situation and used his technical knowledge, experience and ingenuity to find a effective and creative solution.     Allen was first out and professional, explaining what was wrong and options for resolution. We had a failing fan on the furnace.So...We needed to replace a failing furnace/AC system. After shopping four different companies in Fort Collins we initially decided on another company where we were expecting to have equipment installed for a fair amount less, however the equipment that was quoted, turned out to be unavailable. Bear in mind that this decision was not made in haste or concern over professional ability but out of financial, lets say bang for the buck reasons. After learning that the equipment was not available and would not be available till early 2023, I learned that the MOST IMPORTANT question to ask when getting a quote is, can you get the equipment you quoted?Well a return call to Ben at Balance Point was in order. I had some trepidation as I had just a day earlier declined their quote. He was gracious and we discussed our situation and he acknowledged that he had seen long lead times in the industry for equipment that Balance Point doesnt install. We expressed a budget concern and Ben put together another quote for us that was more budget friendly to our situation. We chose different equipment than what was on our first quote and ended up with a great quality unit, both furnace with new filter box and AC installed. The new units are much quieter than the initial units and the efficiencies are increased over the older 15 year old units so we hope to see a little savings on utilities.Let me say that when Ben originally came out to visit, he explained everything from heat pumps, dual fuel system to budget friendly simple systems with no pressure to pick one over another. He then did some measurements to calculate a heat load on our home for putting together his quotes. Very knowledgeable guy!!The install team Mick and Steven were courteous and on time. The installation was done with a professionalism that shows pride in workmanship. These guys care about their work, its their signature. Our new system installation looks much more professional than what our builders installers had left us with for 15 years. Mick and Steven tidied up plumbing for drains, the wiring for power and controls so they were not hanging loose and looking unkempt.     I recently had a QuietCool Stealth Pro X Whole House Fan and a Honeywell HE250 BYPASS HUMIDIFIER installed in my home. The folks at Balance Point Heating were great.     Our water heater stopped working. We called Balance Point at 8:00 am and a tech arrived at 9:00 and by 10:00 he had it working again. He also told us (what we already knew) that.     Our experience has been with Ken and Jim. Ken came in on a Saturday just to make sure the horrible sounds our furnace was making didnt signal a death knell. And we never were billed. He fixed the problem through astute judgement of potential problems and some cleaning. Then he asked us to call in the next few daysl if the sounds came back. They didnt but we followed Kens advice that we get a thorough maintenance service call. Jim came to that call and carefully cleaned and adjusted our furnace. He was also very knowledgeable and helpful. The service call wasnt cheap but was comparable to our past experiences and was of very high value. From every aspect of consultation (Ben was professional/thorough in evaluating thermal dynamics & our needs), to the awesome install team (Anthony & Alex were respectful & patient, and as the install had its challenges, stayed until 7pm to finish & start system), to the final customer satisfaction review on site (Adam was great, and added the extra refrigerant needed due to our long line sets, without even questioning this expense to company), I/we could just not be more impressed, and incredibly happy we chose BP for this large investment! Follow up in the office was great, and original bid was honored 100%, even with extra time/materials not included in bid.     I had an emergency situation. The HVAC contractor who had serviced the equipment in the past said they couldnt get to it for s couple months! Balance Point came out the next day, assessed the problem and fixed it the day after. Interestingly, the previous service company had done work and replaced parts associated with the problem no more than six months before. The Balance Point service technician was knowledgeable, extremely polite, and outrageously neat. He put everything stored in the room back just the way it was.When it rains, it pours, and my other furnace went out the next day!     Last October we contacted Balance Point about new HVAC systems to replace our original equipment. Balance Point had serviced our old furnace and AC for years, keeping our 30+ year equipment repaired and in good operating condition. However, as part of a major home renovation, we decided to upgrade our entire HVAC system: new furnace, air filter, whole house humidifier, AC, tankless water heater, & whole house fan.Ben Hazelet made several trips to our home to evaluate our existing setup. After several days, he developed GOOD, BETTER, BEST proposals at various price points for our review. We requested several iterations, and each time Ben responded quickly with a revised proposal, and we agreed on equipment, pricing, and schedule that met our goals.Ben then took responsibility for designing our new equipment installation. Since we wanted the furnace relocated to an unfinished part of our basement, his new design was extensive, with modifications required to existing ductwork, power, and plumbing. His experience and expertise resulted in a new equipment layout that was clean, compact, and required minimum changes to existing utilities.Once we approved the design, Balance Point scheduled installation. Their team spent 5 days installing, exactly the time we were told. The employees were courteous and respectful of us and our home: we were given an advance warning whenever they needed to disrupt power/plumbing or make noise. When the crew was finished, they swept and removed all debris from the job site.We could not be happier with the results! The installation is new construction quality. The tankless water heater is very compact and delivers endless hot water. The furnace is quiet, and the temperature much more constant. The whole house fan is quiet and unobtrusive visually. As part of the furnace installation, Balance Point sealed our existing duct work, and that has made a huge difference in the amount of pressure we get at each register. The improvements in comfort to our home make us wonder why we waited so long to upgrade.We highly recommend Balance Point for their expertise, great design, high quality installation and service.

    Our furnace decided to lapse on a 8 degree night. Spent hours to see what might be done to reset 4 possible switches. Called the Balance Point Team in the morning for assistance.     I needed a new water heater for my home to replace my 18yr old Rheem natural gas water heater that broke/leaked. I Was referred to Balance Point company from my wife’s friend. Despite the large amount of snow which accumulated overnight in Northern Fort Collins, 3x representatives came to my home the day after the snowfall and installed my new Rheem natural gas water heater. The balance point staff that came to my home were very informative, explained water heater mechanics in laymans terms i could understand, took approximately 3 hours for installation, and even helped to shovel my driveway/sidewalks. The balance point staff I communicated with (i.e. Jackie via telephone and Callen via email/telephone) were uncommonly quick with their responses and it took only 48 hours from first contact to installation of new water heater for my problem to be resolved. Balance point offered me recommendations on 2 natural gas water heaters (i.e. Rheem and Bradford White) that would be the best options for a simple swapping of my old tank for the new one. I ultimately would highly recommend choosing the Balance Point company with regards to replacement and/or servicing of water heaters. They were professional, quick, and fair with pricing.

    I had a good experience with Balance Point Heating and AC. I just had them schedule me for maintenance on my AC. My tech was on time, very nice, explained to me why it was a little noisy when initially turned on. The only thing i would have changed was when he first came to my door i asked him if i could fish out the ball of leaves and fuzz from inside the unit. He told me that was normal, and did not let me get inside to clean it out really quick. I would just feel better getting all of that stuff out.

    One of your mechanics was called to our home twice recently. First to help us get our humidifier working correctly and he did an awesome job and explained how we can use it better.     The new A/C has reduced our electric bill by 40%.We had a Lennox fully modulating system (A/C: XC20, Furnace: SLP99) installed at the end of June of 2021. This summer seems at least as hot as last summer and our bills for July and August this year were 40% lower than last year.The new 4 ton system replaced the original single stage 4 ton system from 1999. Once the outside temperature went above 92, the old system couldnt keep up even with the thermostat set to 78. It would run for 4-5 hours straight on the hottest days. (It ran for 6 hours non-stop when it was 106 in June this year)Since the install, the thermostat is set to 74 and the A/C maybe runs for 30 min here and there when its over 90 and its whisper quite - I have to be in the basement by the equipment to know its on. The old unit sounded like a locomotive on startup.We have the new unit running the fan all the time to circulate the air as we have big dogs and are working from home. The fan is so quiet you cant tell its on even if youre by the equipment.Yes it was relatively expensive and even at a 40% energy reduction it will take time to recoup the costs, but its only getting hotter and electricity isnt getting cheaper. The daily comfort improvement was worth every penny.In short: the equipment is great, working with Ben has been great, and the technicians are great. I highly recommend Lennox and Balance Point.
