I struggled with my Home Warranty to get someone assigned and had a couple other plumbers assigned/reassigned, but once B&L was assigned to my work order, they came out within the same week and fixed my shower same day. Paul was my technician and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He fixed my shower quickly and I am very happy with the service he provided.

My sewer was completely backed up and about to overflow through the clean outs I opened to relieve the pressure. I had already tried my auger and my water hose on with a mini harpoon attachment on it. Then, the tree root cleaner crystals three nights in a row. No improvements! I decided to call American Water Resources, my sewer and water line insurance company and filed a claim. They contacted B&L Plumbing Service. The latter dispatched a technician the following morning. Mr Dalainey Taala was the one. He immediately understood how to resolve the flow blockage. He unloaded on a metal ramp a heavy machine to scope the sewer line. He used one of the clean outs to enter it. We counted that there were four obstacles in the line, One over 20 feet away, wbut all were eliminated. He asked me to flush my toilet four times in a row and the flow was fully restored. This technician was polite, effective and professional. I certainly enjoyed his visit and would strongly recommend the company and Dalainey, their technician. What a relief!

I was sent to B&L through my home warranty service. I promptly received a call to set up an appointment. I was also able to change the appointment date without an issue or having to wait more than 1 or 2 extra days. My first encounter was with Jason. He was professional, knowledgeable, and quick in determining the issue and what was needed to fix it. After the information was called in to my home warranty company I was setup with a follow-up appointment to replace my sump pump system. Jason and Delaney arrived around 8:30am and were completely finished installing everything in about 1 hour. Quick, clean, professional, and friendly. Jason and Delaney were great! I hope I never need them again but if I do I will request B&L and definitely Jason and Delaney.

I read some reviews for B&L Plumbing and was unable to find one at less than 4 stars.. Now I know why. I live in Lees Summit so I was looking for a local business and they checked that box since they are only about 5 minutes from my home. As I had read, they answer the phone with a live person, which I truly appreciate. The office staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Waylon came to the house on time, listened to everything I needed to have done, inspected those areas and then made a thorough assessment. He pointed out a couple of details that I had not noticed but made sure I felt it was my option to address them. In the end I decided to repair everything we discussed and I am very glad we did. Because we had some additional items Waylon gave me the option to perform the work the next morning instead of waiting to go retrieve the extra parts, which actually worked out well for me. Waylon gave me a quote for all the work, returned the next morning (on time again) as promised and completed the job in short order. When all done, the price was exactly as quoted and I was very pleased with the results. I will definitely keep B&L in my list of providers for the future, and if I am lucky, Waylon will be the one they send back. 5 Stars for us for sure and a BIG THANK YOU!!!!

I really like this company. They respond quickly. They send text messages and let you know your plumber is on the way. The staff is professional and kind. I have had Waylon as my plumber twice. I’ve used B&L plumbing for my master bathroom and all other plumbing needs. Each of the technicians were prompt and professional. I never felt like they tried to BS me and try to sell me extra services. Our master bathroom toilet had been leaking into the garage due to poor toilet installation (bad contractor install). They answered my request within 30 minutes and a technician was out the next day. He was very honest and straightforward with his assessment of what needed to get done. The following week, Eli did an amazing job installing a new phalange for the toilet and cutting a new pipe that goes in the garage. Unfortunately a few days later it leaked again (just needed to be resealed). They immediately sent someone back out. Eli identified and fixed the problem and it hasn’t leaked since. I will continue to use B&L for all my plumbing needs.

I need to add a new Post and review. My Main Sewer Line outside my home broke completely. No movement at all. Clogged to the max. I called my sewer warranty company. I asked the warranty company to send B & L and within 20 minutes I was talking B & L scheduler. Within 2 hours James was at my home diagnosing the issue. The outside sewer line needed dug up and partially replaced. The two employees Bill and Jason arrived 3 days later as time was needed to get utilities marked and city inspection set up. Once they arrived before the scheduled time they were off and running. They were professional and nice and explained what the process was as they proceeded. Within 30 minutes which included the dig they had the problem figured out and within 1.5 hours they were completely done waiting on the city inspector to come approve the work. This company is by the book and very reliable. Bill and Jason are super guys as we talked super bowl parade since it was the day after and they helped me save my bush that had to be removed and kept my sprinkler system in tact. These guys and the company are a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10. This is the only Plumbing company I will ever use again. Thanks B & L Plumbing as you made the fix worry free for me.I want to thank Lead Service Tech James McReynolds for being such a professional and kind plumbing tech. James was able to fix the major problem we were having in a short time. He educated me on what to do if this ever happens again. He was the best service tech of any kind to come to my house and fix any kind of problem. Our hot water heater was going out, so we called B&L and Bill came right out, gave us an estimate of what was needed and came back 10 days later to do the project. Bill was very efficient, knowledgeable and nice to us. He is very detailed in his work and takes pride in what he was doing. He respected the environment, no damage to anything we had. He replaced the old hot water heater with a new 50 gallon one, new city pressure regulator, shut off valve and pressure release tank. He even replaced the hot water valve stem in our master shower for us! All work was done in about 3 hours and all messes cleaned up! What a great experience!! Bill was very friendly and explained everything to us! We highly recommend B&L Plumbing!!

First off, B&L answers the phone with a real live human being! Secondly they scheduled someone to come out the very next day! Mike and apprentice Josh showed up on time. Also a follow up call after scheduling. They were very prompt and extremely professional. I had only scheduled an estimate to repair a valve on a line to the refrigerator. I was called to see if they could move up my appointment because they had a cancellation and they then arrived at the time they said they would. They were thorough and very professional, as well as being personable. They showed me everything they were going to do if I used them for the job and then discussed the things I may want to be watching out for in the future, since my water heater was a little older. I was very impressed with them and hired them to do the job. Pricing was also very reasonable since someone else had quoted me about $200 more. Follow up was great! As per these times, they had masks and were appropriate with all health mandates.

I was referred to B&L plumbing through my warranty company, HomeServe for an exterior main water line leak. They scheduled an immediate next day appointment for me with a technician named James. James was great! He was very knowledgeable and professional. I was really worried about my yard/new sod being destroyed during the repair but James made sure that they protected the yard with plywood before driving machinery onto it. They also put all of the dirt/mud on my driveway instead of piling it on the grass. I was really appreciative of everything they did to minimize the damage. They also were very prompt to fix the problem. I had a very significant leak so literally every minute was costing me money. Within an hour of my warranty company approving the repair, they had a next day repair appointment scheduled. Overall, they made a terrible situation bearable with their professionalism and attention to detail. I highly recommend B&L plumbing and specifically James!

1-19-2018With all the freezing weather our city has had, my dad had a problem with his water pipes and I told him to call BL plumbing service. From the first phone call he made, the company gave him the most remarkable customer service. He was incredibly nice while he was here, answering all our questions and explaining what he was doing and what was happening. He cleared the roots causing the blockage in our pipes, and sent in a camera to make sure it was clear. After it was done he cleaned up the area he worked in and gave us his card. Theres some more work to be done in the yard, once our sewer line warranty approves it, so hopefully when we get that scheduled we can have Dalainey out here again.

We had a severe toilet clog and I was really concerned about the smell coming from the toilet. This began on a Thursday. We called our home warranty who is contracted with B&L Plumbing. I was disappointed when they called on Friday and said they had no openings until the following Monday. The lady I spoke with was very nice and the only complaint I had was just having to wait over the weekend to get the toilet fixed. Luckily, we have another toilet in the house. Jason was the technician that came out on Monday. He was extremely nice, knowledgeable and efficient. He was talking with my 3 year old son and explained everything he was doing to fix our toilet. My son loved talking to him and quickly began a full conversation with him. Jason cleared the clog fairly quickly, checked the flushing and was on his way. We were very pleased with our service.

About 11am on Saturday, I had a backed up main sewer exit line. I have a sewer line service plan and I called it in. My warranty company said I’d get a call within the next 4 hours. My case was picked up by B&L Plumbing and I got a call from James with B&L within 90 minutes. He was able to give me an estimate of when he’d be able to get to me (5pm) and said he’d call when he was about 30 minutes away. About 2 hours after that, he checked back in to let me know that he was still on track to hit the time he estimated. James called me about 4:30pm and said he’d see me at 5. He got there at 5 and had my line cleared in about 10 minutes. James said I was his 6th and last call of the day. Even though my line was cleared, James stayed for another hour plus and cleaned out over 7 feet of tree roots from my line. I was really impressed by the job James did - he was very thorough in solving my issue and doing the work to prevent further issues. With this level of dedication to getting the job done right, taking care of the customer, and keeping in communication that James demonstrated on a warranty call on a Saturday evening, I’ll definitely use these guys again! So glad my warranty company connected me with them.

I had a nightmare scenario at a rental house of mine and needed fast help on a sewer line being backed up. James came out late at night (after dealing with my home warranty service to expedite the call) and went above and beyond the call of duty to do everything he could to get my line cleared. There were MANY obstacles, not the least of being having an accessible clean out for his machine to do the work on. After a lot of troubleshooting and manually trying to get things cleared, we decided that what was needed was a clean out installed. He came out the next morning and installed that so we could get a camera down the line. At that point we saw the line had collapsed between the house and the city sewer. James then worked with his crew to let them know the urgency on this and we were able to have the line replaced within 36 hours. The owner of the company came out and did the line replacement and was able to have it done in just a few hours of work.As a landlord, this kind of quick response, troubleshooting, and urgency to resolve the problem is rare to find in any kind of contractor. These guys are great! Super professional and very knowledgeable. I tried to fix a clogged toilet by removing it and cleaning the trap and ran into a problem with the shut off valve I couldnt fix. B&L replaced the valve, scoped the pipes to make sure there werent any foreign objects, reseated the toilet, and even replaced the fill valve all in under an hour. When my water heater stopped working, I was referred to this company by my home warranty provider (2-10, whom I also recommend; this is my second house in 15 years with them). The Both offices were quickly responsive, knowledgable, and helpful from the beginning, and throughout, as was the technician. It took two visits to get the unit back on, but that’s not the fault of the tech; the problem was more complex than it initially seemed. The warranty and plumbing offices were diligent about making it possible for the extra work to be completed with in 24 hours of the initial visit, and the technician was cooperative and friendly. throughout. This company is very professional and knowledgeable. They service that was provide was excellent. The techniquion took the time to walk me through the process of what was happening and what the changes would be. During installation of outdoor faucet and a couple feet of pipe inside he took the time to explain a couple of ways at which it could be installed giving advice on which one was a better method for replacement and use, and which was a better spot for looks. In and out within an hour. Very nice and friendly company.

I called BL Plumbing when a small leak started coming out of my shower. They responded quickly and Billy arrived in the afternoon. He diagnosed the problem and proposed a solution including cost. I approved and he went straight to work. Within the hour, the problem was resolved. Billy recommended work that was needed to reduce water pressure for the entire house. I approved the work including cost and Billy had that problem fixed quickly and efficiently. A small leak in the pipe below the shower led to a much needed home improvement. As we finished, Billy and I discussed potential future work and issues regarding maintenance concerning the overall projects completed that day. The entire process was a very positive experience.

My wife has been wanting granite counter-tops for several years. Last week they were installed. Unexpectedly, we were informed that they only installed the counter-tops and did not do the plumbing required to reestablish our working kitchen and that we would have to contact a plumber. After a little research, I called B and L Plumbing from Lees Summit and set up an appointment for Monday between 8 am and noon. At 8:45 am on Monday, my doorbell rang; the plumber was here. Bill came in and went to work resolving all our problems. He installed a new kitchen faucet, new water shut-offs and a new garbage disposal. He then reconfigured and installed a complete new drainpipe system and checked the operation of everything he had worked on. Perfect the first time! Bill knew his plumbing, was totally professional and insisted that he tidy up after completing the job despite my wifes offer to do so. We will use B and L again if we have the need and would recommend them whole-heartedly to others.

Ive been using B&L Plumbing for so long I remember when the entire company was B(ill) & L(isa). I have never been disappointed in their work and always found them to be fair in pricing, courteous, prompt and efficient. Back when we did have a home warranty we would always ask that they do the work. Yes, home warranty companies make it a bit of a process but with B&L you always know that you will get quality work. We just bought a brand new house and needed some additional plumbing work done and I probably could have had it done for free using the builders subcontractor but bottom line is that I trust B&L with my home. My water bills were running a little higher than normal, even after fixing a couple of leaky toilets. A friend of mine suggested I turn off the main valve and check to see if the meter was still turning. Sure enough, it was, indicating there was a leak somewhere between my house and the meter. I did not see any dripping or standing water in the well itself (and neither did a different plumber that came out), so I was thinking the worst; my yard was going to have to be dug up. I called the warranty company and they contacted B&L. Carol from B&L called within an hour and said they had somebody available that afternoon. James showed up well within the time frame Carol had provided, listened to my problem, was very friendly (from a distance) and professional, and quickly found the leak - at the meter. James fixed and tested the leak and we were back up and running within an hour or two. Since this went through the warranty company, Im not sure what the cost was, but based on everything else related to my visit, Im sure theyre reasonable and competitive. I highly recommend B&L!
