I called McVay to give me an estimate to replace a sewage trap and find out why I had two back up sewage in the past 5 years . Luigi came and saw a sunken pipe and advised me to replace the trap , I didn’t shop around I gave him the job and trusted them to do it right. The crew came roughly 9 days after I signed the contract , I met Chris and Mark both did the work , they were easy to talk too , they listened to my concerns when they were going to backfill the area I didn’t want all the junk like asphalt and old pipes , they were so awesome and nice to work with . When they installed the vent pipe that sticks outside the ground , it was sticking out more towards the driveway I voiced my concern to them Luigi came a little bit later explained to me they could fix it with some adapter to bring it closer to the garden bed but there would be a fee ? This annoyed me a little bit , he saw the work I got my estimate and I should not have to pay an extra $250 to deviate the pipe . I said let me talk to my husband , my husband didn’t care and he said it’s fine, this is an honest review , Luigi was great to work with but at numerous time he mentioned time cost money this rubbed me a little the wrong way . When a customer isn’t shopping around give you the job without hesitation , you see what needs done once the estimate is written than let’s do this and not have extra cost , a happy customer will bring more business . He told me that it could cost me more if we have to dig more toward the house that I knew . Anyway I am glad it’s fixed and hopefully I will never have to deal with sewage in the basement . I also want to add I spoke to Tracy numerous time she was very nice and easy to work with ! Thank you very much I am a happy customer your employees are very polite and listen to any concerns that a homeowner would have when doing any important work .

Luigi (yes that is his real name) was wonderful. Fixed my sewer pipe blockage quickly and as cleanly as humanly possible considering the issue. Fair and honest pricing, and he identified multiple breakages in the old terra-cotta pipe. When the time comes to fix those breakages, I will be using Mister Sewer again.Update: Dre and Sean were wonderful! Timely, professional, clean and friendly. They got my entire sewer system replaced in just over 2 days. Highly recommend working with Mister Sewer. No hidden fees, no surprises, just good honest work!!

We had a potentially serious problem. Our toilets were not draining. McVay came out the day we called. Randy not only cleared out the drain from out home but discovered that the main to the street was blocked. He suggested we call the township which we did. The next day the complete system was cleaned out and our worries were eliminated. Great communication and tremendous service. We now have McVay on speed dial.

After troubleshooting for 3 weeks to solve intermittent backups at our kitchen sink and some basement water, we called McVay. They came the next day. After we described the problems we were having, they quickly identified a backup downstream from the pipes of the kitchen sink and the downspouts. They solved the problem quickly and it didn’t cost us an arm and a leg! Would highly recommend McVay.

McVay saved the day!! I had another plumber that my warranty company sent, and they made my issue worse, and left us with no running water for 4 days. I called McVay and they were there first thing the next morning, fixed the issue so quickly and were so reasonable & the technician was super helpful and friendly as well. Highly recommend!

Needed a sewer liner placed to sell my house. I got estimates from multiple companies and McVay was over 2k cheaper than their competitors. Not only that but the customer service was exceptional. Luigi was a delight to work with and everyone in the office was kind and efficient. The folks who came out to dig up the line and replace it were also really friendly and got right to work. They sent me a video of the completed work and it looked like a sewer liner! Never fun to have to spend nearly 9k on a sewer line that caused you no problems over 7 years but, hey, if you have to give anyone that money, my suggestion would be to make the check out to McVay.

Had a Tech come out on 7/15/2024 and made sure all of me and my fiancés questions were answered and explained his answers in detail and what was going on in our house in detail. Adam from McVay came out to assess a storm drain issue. He inspected the problem and recommended some more likely fixes to try before incurring drain work. I really appreciated his advice and time explaining what was happening and potential solutions rather than sell me unnecessary work. I scheduled an appointment online for a clogged sewer. I received a call within an hour telling me they could have a technician at my house within the hour. Technician showed up and got right to work hydro jetting numerous root balls out of our sewer. Sewer was cleared and I was very satisfied with the work and speed at which the work was performed.

Randy from Mister Sewer did a fantastic job getting my sewer cleaned and flowing again. I called around 10:00 for service, and was able to be scheduled for the afternoon. Randy arrived early and got right to work. He explained the whole process and walked me through each step. Once the cleaning was complete, Randy videoed the line and showed me the results of the cleaning. He cleaned the entire work area so it looked better than when he arrived. Do not hesitate to call Mister Sewer if you have any plumbing issues. The price for the hydrojet service was very reasonable and well worth it. I highly recommend Mister Sewer!

Brandon and Randy came out today right after I called the company at the end of the day yesterday and checked my sewer line with their camera equipment after another company shot too much pressure up the main sewage line and blew the crap up my sewage line to home and shot up my sewage vent in my driveway by the house. I was concerned there might have been damage so Mister Sewer guys checked it all out with camera and told me I was good to go and did not even charge me a penny. Their manager Jake, said since they did my sewage lines a few years ago and replaced them All there was No Charge. Who does that now a days! I would highly recommend calling these guys for Any of your sewerage problems! Here is what they did a few years ago for me……………..These guys are Pros! They replaced my sewer lines under my driveway and under the road to go across the street and put in a new tap-in on and under my neighbors yard. All trench less and no digging up of my driveway or road thank goodness. Cemented over small section in driveway and landscaped the neighbors yard as well after digging it up where the sewer right of way is.I totally satisfied with their work and the crew they had as well. If I were you I would not call anyone else!

I recently had some sewer issues (bad odor, gurgling toilet, etc) and decided to schedule a consultation. I was put on the schedule for the morning of the next business day. Very quick response and scheduling, which was comforting.I was lucky to get Brandon that morning, who gave me a call with an ETA and showed up on time/within the scheduled window. He arrived, I gave him some background of my issues, and right away he had an idea of what might be going on with the drains. He was very communicative every step of the way, offering explanations, showing me what he was seeing on the camera monitor, etc.He shared with me his preferred approach and offered prices for the service (before even starting on said service). I always appreciate someone who is transparent with the costs of business while avoiding any unnecessary charge. For instance, he ran the camera snake to confirm there were no blockages before hydro-jetting the line, saving me hundreds. There were in fact no blockages, and I was only charged for the camera run.While inspecting the drains in my basement bathroom, he learned there was no access point in the basement stack to check for blockages. Brandon offered to cut the stack and install a coupling, so that he could look from that point on (toward the street) and would be easier for future projects.In the end, after watching and chatting every step of the way, Brandon offered a resolution to my problem and gave me a quote for the project. The quote was in the ballpark of what I had expected, and I slept easier knowing there were no critical issues with the current pipes and drains (no cracks, leaks, etc). Basically, this older house just needs a hefty upgrade.I would definitely recommend Mister Sewer and Brandon (who needs a raise in my opinion) for any of your sewer and plumbing needs. I fully intend on repeating business in the future.

I called my insurance company to file a claim on 03/27/23 due to my floor drain backing up with water. The same day, mister sewer sent out a technician by the name of Brett and unclogged my drain. A few days later, I had another clog and Brett came out again to take care of my problem. I was very impressed with the timeliness and professionalism he showed through out that service appointment. I ended up having mister sewer camera my lines and found out that my pipes were in terrible condition and needed repaired. During having my lines camera’d, the tech Cameron was very knowledgeable and helpful with all the questions I had. So I ended up having to get my system replaced. Throughout this process I spoke with Angela, and the project manager Jake countless times, and each phone call they were so helpful and reassuring that they would fix my pipes and ensure my system would be good as new. On 05/08/23, Mike and his crew came out to my house, broke up the concrete, replaced my failing lines and really blew my expectations out of the water. On 05/09/23, they came back to my house to lay new concrete and restore my basement. I am truly happy with the service from start to finish. Everyone I spoke to, and came out to my house we’re amazing!!! As a company, they really took care of me and my house, and took all the stress away by the quality of work they provided. I hope I never need mister sewer again, but I know exactly who I will call if I do! Thank you again!!

The crew of Chris Holden, Mark Austin and Brandon from Mr Sewer performed a wonderful job. I would give them 10 stars if I could. We had a very complex sewer issue, multiple breaks, root intrusion, the works. This was made more complex by the involvement of 2 insurance companies. Mister Sewer has been our life saver. The one insurance companies sent out 2 other plumbers, one could not fix the issue, the other said they did (and charged for the fix) but Mister Sewer found they didnt actually fix the break (I saw it with my own eyes). Mister Sewer saved us from having another sewage backup. Every person we have dealt with at Mister Sewer has been polite and professional. They are thorough, honest, know what they are doing and clean up after the work beautifully. I wish I had the names of everyone I dealt with, but Damean B and Brandon R did a wonderful job of concreate restoration. Brandon E. who came out countless times to camera and diagnose is amazing. Angela and Tracey at the office are always kind, courteous and just wonderful to work with. Jake who was coordinating the entire job was magnificent. Never hesitate to use Mister Sewer!!!!

Our only comment would be that we would have appreciated having the fresh air vent positioned to the side, instead of in the center of garage entrance, posing a tripping hazard , as it must be sitting above ground level per code. It would have taken an extra step to do that, but something that future customers could avoid.

I was very impressed with the honesty and quality of work performed to repair my main sewer line. They inspected the whole sewer line, which is the older terracotta type, and did not try to sell me any type of lining or additional service. While my yard was dug up for the repair, they also added an additional cleanout next to the municipal main which will make it easier to clean out in case a future clog happens. They also took steps to protect my driveway from digging equipment damage. I will definitely recommend this company going forward.

My daughter had Mister Sewer install a trenchless pipe lining in her basement this week. Randy, Mitch, Lee and Eli were very knowledgeable and reliable. We had two other quotes from different companies but they were going to dig up her whole basement and replace the entire pipe which was very expensive. After Mister Sewer completed the sewer camera inspection they found their were only two areas where the terracotta pipe was broken so we were able to do the pipe lining. Also their price was more affordable for my daughter and less invasive and time consuming. We were kept informed of their progress from start to finish. I myself made the initial phone call to schedule a quote and the receptionist was very helpful and considerate.

First of all Angela from their offices called me back first thing in the morning, and although I did not expect a call that fast, she even apologized for not calling me back sooner. Then Jake came out to the house promptly, and within the time frame I was given when I made the SAME DAY appointment. Jake was patient and listened to everything I had already tried to fix my toilet issues so he didn’t waist time and money trying stuff that was already done. I had my sewer line re-lined with an insert that only took a couple of hours. The whole process took a couple of days. Brad Rossi and his son excavated down to the sewer line which was about 6-7 feet. Mr Rossi was able to avoid the main Monroeville water line and a neighbor’s line tied into it. Then Mike, Steve, Cameron and Jordan inserted the liner and attached it to the inside of my existing terracotta sewer line. Tracy, the office contact person kept me informed as to when the crews would arrive. All were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions. A great experience- much appreciated. I never imagined this would be done in a way that I can honestly say that it was a pleasant experience. (I Wish I had reached out to him first). He was honest, professional and walked me through the whole process. This is the plumber to call.I had a major plumbing issue left over from the previous owner earlier this year and called a different plumber. They showed up and did a lot of work, charged me and left. Little did I know that they bypassed and inspection (necessary in Allegheny County), ignored codes, and installed a system that would appear to function for a short time.When it broke again I called Mister Sewer. Chris and JT showed up the next day, realized I had a much bigger problem after a short inspection and explained to me, in detail what was going on and what my options were. Within the next day they had a team out to begin work on the repair which involved extensive work inside and outside the house. Through every step of the process Walt and Brendan displayed professionalism and expertise at what they were doing as they answered my endless stream of questioning about what was going on.By the time they left I felt confident that everything had been done right, including calling an inspector to verify it was up to code and working. We couldn’t be happier with the work done by Mister Sewer. When Justin came out to use the camera on our pipes, it was clear they were the original cast iron & in desperate need of replacement. He also walked around our house with us to see if our downspouts ran into our household sewer or into the lawn. Once we could see the extent of the corrosion and decided to go forward with the replacement, we were on their schedule in less than 2 weeks. Ryan and his team did a great job of explaining their work plan for the day each morning, and gave us a detailed recap at the end of each workday. It was incredibly hot & humid, and our driveway is rather steep – but the crew worked quickly, cleanly, and efficiently to dig out new trenches in the basement, set up a new sewer system, and hook everything back up. He also made sure to move the floor drain to a more appropriate location, away from an interior wall. The concrete work at the end was also very well done. I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone.

They had Justin come out which was here within the hour and was very polite and explained every option I had and what things can cause the issue I had which was very helpful to understand my situation. Chris and his father came to start digging and were very polite and explained everything they were doing. They even found a broken buried sewer clean out which they repaired for me instantly without trying to charge me extra and used their own parts. Didnt even look like someone had dug up there as they flatten the whole area for it to grow with grass again in the future. Awesome company and first time where I felt comfortable with a plumber and not hassled. I cannot recommend Mister Sewer enough!! Our nearly 100 year old cast iron sewage drain finally started collapsing and needed to be replaced. We received quotes from several companies (all of which were within a couple hundred $ of each other) but we were by far most comfortable with Mister Sewer. These guys know what theyre doing! Our main point of contact was Jake, who was amazing about keeping us in the loop as to processes and scheduling. Jake also worked with our insurance and sent a very professional pdf breakdown of access costs (another company we got a quote from sent them a picture of a handwritten breakdown that was barely legible). Appointment notifications are sent out by text and you can see exactly when the crew/tech will arrive and you can easily pay online. Their use of tech as a contractor is really a huge selling point- even if they werent the cheapest option (which they were!) I would have been willing to pay more just for how easy communication/payment was. I was dreading the week-long job of having the line replaced but Mister Sewer definitely made it as painless as possible.

Our main waterline broke under the sidewalk. They replaced the line, covered back the hole in our basement and fixed the sidewalk nicely. They didn’t leave any mess. Weren’t the cheapest but they were professional. I would give 5 stars but when I called about an issue and a question the way the manager talked to me was anything but respectful. Yes, I imagine his job is stressful trying to manage a million things for several jobs at the same time, but still, talking to customers kindly is important. This turned an otherwise great experience into an unpleasant one.

I had a great experience with Mister Sewer today! Called yesterday about my plumbers told me my downstairs toilet wouldnt flush because my sewer was clogged I have an outside sewer service with my PA Water company. Py every month with my bill! Called them and Mister Sewer called me within 5 minutes to setup my repair day and time. It was today between noon and 4 PM. Was happy to hear that. Employee Brandon Esplen called about 11:37 Am. Said he would be over in 20 minutes. Knocked on the door at 11: 57 AM. Looked at my drains and wondered why there were 4 of them. See pic. He figured it out. Then in about an hour he cleared my very clogged sewer. He told me he didnt mind me watching. Also told me he would teach me what he was doing. He was great and explained everything so I could understand. Very professional and a good worker in my opinion. Then we were done he explained all of the other services Mister Sewer does now!! Our trouble began with a blocked line that was backing up. Contacted Mister Sewer on a Sunday night and they were one site Monday morning. It turned out the problem was bigger than we thought. They made sure to explain every step of the process. We had frustrations after a previous other plumber “fixed” the problem previously. But Mister Sewer was there to guide us through the process and to understand everything. Beyond that, everyone that came to do work was extremely nice and so great to deal with. Had a request from the Borough to fix the sewer line. Consulted a couple of local companies, and neither had the time nor the correct equipment to fulfill the conditions. Mr Sewer response was nigh on instant. Quick acknowledgement of the problem, scheduled an appointment and provided a quote that was very reasonable considering the ballpark figures I was getting from other companies I consulted. They were aware of the tight timeline to get this done and they made all the arrangements to get started as quickly as possible. For peace of mind and eliminating any confusion, they took care of all the paperwork, video production and consultation with the Borough. Dye tests and Lateral Sewer tests were completed, submitted to Borough Code Officer in a timely fashion. Solution was provided by Mr Sewer, and accepted by the Borough. Quality of work is outstanding from start to finish. Highly recommend their services and will be using them again for other projects.

The technician came into my home ready to explore what my problem was with my water tank. He greeted me very professionaly and friendly. As he was examining the tank and everything connected to it he listened intently to the history of the problem. I let him do his work and left him be. About less than a half hour later he returned from the basement and reported what he found. Then he answered and explained all my questions and taught me everything I needed to know and what I asked about. He spoke to everyday English so I could understand and when he used plumbing terms when talking about parts he told me what its functions were. He offered an estimate for the job and listened while I was suggesting different ways to handle the situation. The tech was the best professionally and people oriented person I have encounter in a very long time and his experience is more updated than many of the previous ones. I dont typically leave reviews but wanted to make the effort to leave 5 Stars for Mr. Sewer. They have been attending to my property for a couple of years now due to a bad sewer line in my front yard. I was part of the PA Water Insurance Program and they quickly became the company I requested each time they were needed. I ultimately needed the line replaced and once PA Water Insurance agreed to the work, they did a great job. I have to say, I seen a couple of poor reviews for these guys and I think some people just have very unrealistic expectations. Plumbers are needed everywhere , Right Now, its never a planned job. Its almost always an emergency. 24/7. Thats not easy. They were supposed to reseed the section of my yard that was dug up per the coverage of my insurance claim. I believe they may have forgot about me, but all I did was call them a month later to remind them and they came and took care of me a couple days later. You guys leaving bad reviews about follow up work just might need to maybe work on your people skills a little bit. Talk to your vendors like human beings & not service dogs. Thats all I got, these guys are excellent. I recommend them no question.

Chris H and Brad M really did a great and neat job. Had to dig out part of the sewer stack from under concrete in garage, right against the wall. The garage door track was right there. They were like surgeons with the jackhammer, able to work around the garage track and walls on 2 sides. Very tight space but they did it without having to tear up anything around the problem. Finished in 1 day, nice concrete work, very neat.
