    We had all around good experience with Blue Duck. Philip diagnosed the issue and provided various options to meet our needs and took the time to explain those options. He is very polite and professional. He was also excellent with communicating the schedule and all the steps involved. Gage installed the hot water heater and his work is meticulous and neat. He took the time to answer any questions I had. Gage also did the partial replacement of a sewer line on a cold and windy day.     Nick came over to help with a few plumbing concerns. He was super friendly, helpful, and thorough in figuring out what was going on. Based on his concerns pricing was fair and reasonable and I feel that he actually saved us money based on what I thought was going on. Every interaction I’ve had with blue duck staff, from office staff to technicians, has been nothing but positive. We’ll definitely continue to use them!

    Great experience with Blue Duck taking care of a water valve connection for my refrigerator on short notice after the Lowe’s installation team was unable to complete the job.The technician was also able to identify some areas for improvement overall with my plumbing set-up, and he was thorough in explaining what he was doing and suggesting for the future. Price was reasonable and aligned with experiences with other plumbers in town over the last ten years.

    Philip from Blue Duck came out to diagnose slow bathroom sink drain in my 70 yr old apartment. Although I’m just the tenant, he told me the various solutions without “mansplaining” before presenting to building manager. He then fixed the drain there and also did kitchen sink which had been making period burbling sounds. Additionally Philip was able to increase water flow of both sinks. He left the work areas clean and did everything with a friendly cheerful attitude. I highly recommend Blue Duck with no hesitation.Use them!

    Very helpful, fast response, and clear pricing! Philip stayed late to clear out the clog in the drain so I wouldnt have to take time off work for another appointment.     Blue Duck Plumbing came highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint me. Kellen called ahead to tell me what time he would arrive. He was right on time. He and his apprentice were pleasant to me and more importantly, my dog. Kellen quickly saw my problem and was able to fix it. I then had him give me an estimate for some future work remodeling another bathroom. Within an hour I had two estimates emailed to me. I was completely satisfied with their service.     I had a gas leak and the gas company locked my gas meter. I then called Blue Duck because Ive always had great service from them on rental properties in years past. John was here quickly, he was Courteous and efficient. Even though he told me they dont usually work on mobile homes he assessed my issue and explained what was needed. He then went ahead and did the job at a reasonable price. Thanks John.

    Blue Duck came out when they said and on time. They were neat and very efficient in getting right to the problem which unfortunately led to replacing the sewer line. While costs were high, Blue Duck employees were professional, sympathetic and provided us with assistance regarding payment. Everything was explained to us well and their work was VERY professional. They knew what they were doing. Our family had some health issues going on at the time and Phillip and his team worked with us in making sure that we knew he understood things come up. It felt good to support a local business and family. Our money stayed in Lawrence and we always find comfort in supporting local. If we ever have any problems, well be calling on the Blue Duck team to resolve them.

    Charles & John were here today & literally saved our lives! The City of Lawrence sent me an email which stated we were using 50 gallons of water an hour for over 48 hours! So I was pretty desperate to fix that! They were both so kind & knowledgeable! John came up with 3 possibilities for working on the project & we chose the most expensive which included a new toilet. Our toilet would have required all new parts & we couldn’t be sure that it wouldn’t leak. They did all the work, which also included getting the tub faucet to stop dripping, in just around 2 hours! They cleaned everything up & were absolutely the most polite workers of any sort to come into my home! I will ALWAYS use Blue Duck Plumbing from now on! Thank you! Erica Stannard

    Gage was extremely professional when he came out to write up a bid. He went above and beyond in writing up multiple scenarios and explained each of them in detail. And when him and Matt came out to install the new water heater, they were extremely polite, professional, and made sure to ask anytime they had a question about where I wanted a line or high wanted to make sure I was completely comfortable and satisfied with the whole experience.     Caleb with Blue Duck is as professional as they come.     Blue duck plumbing went above and beyond helping me yesterday. Thanks to Kellen Vaneck and his apprentice Matthew Page they helped me investigate my aging water heater. My awful home warranty company demanded a thorough investigation before authorizing any payout to replace the unit. The unit itself was 23 years old. It seemed obvious that it needed to be replaced. When the plumbers finished their analysis I had to call the warranty company. It took 6 tries, each session taking 3-6 minutes of the phone ringing. At their suggestion they suggested to me that my number might have been screened from previously calling them Friday, so I borrowed a family members phone and the plumbers were right, the warranty company picked up almost right away. After an intense argument with that home warranty CSR they finally did the right thing today, but I wanted to give a shout out for both plumbers and their patience in waiting the entire time, their helpful suggestions, and their compassion when things were looking bad. Thank you again Blue duck plumbing!

    I’ve used Blue Duck several times. They’ve always been able to come on short notice, they charge very fair and reasonable rates, and they’ve always done great work and been very professional. Most recently I had them out to replace a leaking section of water line in a ceiling. Charles did a great job with the repair, and was very professional and personable. He was up-front with pricing and assessment, explained the work he did, and gave me advice on how to deal with certain aspects of the issue going forward.

    Weve had a good, ongoing relationship with the team at Blue Duck Plumbing. This time around we had some issues with our drain and some pooling of water on our basement floor. They were able to come out promptly (the next day) despite heavy volume of calls given the very cold weather. Not only did John appear to be a good teacher to his junior colleague but also taught us well. After explaining the loose strainer on the sink, we were then able to identify a similar problem on an upstairs sink later that night and have the problem promptly addressed. Plus, it doesnt hurt that our kids love their Blue Duck toys and are always excited to see the Blue Duck truck around town. Were glad to be able to call on this team.

    We had another company attempt to snake our basement drain, after failing to fix it, they suggested a $1200 service which would have included tearing up and replacing the drain.We decided to call Blue Duck for a second opinion as we’ve used them before and been happy with those services.John from Blue Duck looked in to it and was able to clear it within 10 minutes. He was forthright with what our different options and costs would be and he was very professional and courteous.We only went with this other company because there was a joint relationship between HVAC and plumbing services, so we opted for continuity this time. We will likely not be using any other plumbing providers other than Blue Duck after this experience.

    We highly recommend John with Blue Duck. We tried to install a new kitchen faucet and new drinking water system ourselves. But ran into problems with shut off valves under sink, and they started to leak. So bought new valves and when went to shut off main water valve in utility room was completely stuck! At that point we decided we needed a professional, and while he was here he might as well replace aging hot water heater.After reading reviews on google and the neighborhood app, we chose Blue Duck and 2 other companies to come give us estimates. One couldnt come for 3 weeks. Another company didnt send anyone to look at projects, just gave me an estimate over phone and they charged by the hour. We chose Blue Duck because John came looked at our project and gave us a set price for everything, no mater how long it took. He took the time to listen to everything we said and actually look at the items we already purchased to confirm he could use them.John explaining things well and did a great job with all of the projects. He was knowledgeable, professional and yes, he wore a mask. We will definitely be using Blue Duck again in the future.

    I had a clogged drain in my bathroom. Favio and Fahem were first in line to deal with the problem. Unbeknownst to them, the problem was worse. They hit a very stubborn clog that their instruments could not get through. Fahem predicted the pipe is broken somewhere. He was correct! Eventually they called Philip to further examine the issue and tried to tackle it himself. Favio and Fahem were very courteous and didnt leave a mess behind. Professionals! Thanks guys! Other Blue Duck plumbers were called--Tony and his partner to handle an issue involving a line of pipe underneath the deck. I am so sorry I cannot remember his name. Tonys partner installed a 21 inch water supply line to my toilet. He made sure it was secure. No leaks and made sure the the toilet was flushing properly. Thank you! Even though I was a renter in a particular part on the property. Philip updated me on what was done and needed to be done. Again, very courteous and professional. Thank you!

    I called Blue Duck one Friday afternoon after losing an argument with the so-called installers with Best Buy! Philip came right out and installed a valve on the cold water line under my sink --- and when Best Buy came back the following Tuesday and were still not satisfied with his work, he promptly returned and installed the refrigerator himself! I am impressed with his willingness to work as evidenced by his quick response to my calls and the very high quality of his work, plus he cleans up after himself, a credit to his family. Weve had other work done by members of the Blue Duck team, including Joe and John -- weve always been satisfied with their work, attention to detail, pleasant attitude (which is pretty important in plumbing emergencies!) and friendliness.

    The technician team of Gage Ham and Caleb from Blue Duck Plumbing were so thoughtful in their approach and execution that I’m tempted to say this is one of the best major appliance installations I’ve ever experienced. Gage, in the lead, diagnosed and replaced my old hot water heater and from the get go, when he called ahead to ask if I had any parking preferences, I was impressed. I was presented with three options/bids after the problems with my older heater were carefully explained. They were able to install the new heater the same day and throughout the installation Gage pretty much gave me a tutorial on how water heaters work and how to trouble shoot any problems in the future. Caleb chimed in as well with helpful comments. They were both low key and so polite and patient. Gage even reduced the amount I owed from the original bid when he realized I did not need a part he had originally planned on using. Wow! The result is a new water heater with a better oriented tank in a tight closet to make access and adjustment easier. They even welcomed occasional visits from my cat! I’ve used Blue Duck a few times and every time have been impressed with their honesty, responsiveness, patience, and thoroughness. One holiday night a couple of years ago Joe, the owner, tried to talk me through lighting the pilot light to save me a holiday rate service visit. Called Blue Duck for annual sump pump maintenance and they ended up finding a leak in the crawl space; needed to replace water service line, water heater, and a lot of the piping due to having an older home with old galvanized plumbing. They were very considerate of the house layout and making sure to do everything right/good quality and not just finishing a job. Made time to explain everything to us along the way.     Same day service. Gage, diagnosed the problem giving me several options. We chose the easiest and it worked fine. He was done in 20 minutes. They did charge an extra serice fee for coming to Baldwin City which I wasnt made aware of when I initially scheduled the visit. All worked out fine.

    Philip came quickly on a Saturday morning to check out a water leak. He quickly detected the issue and explained the repair process in an easy-to-understand way.     We had Blue Duck Plumbing come out to fix a leaky pipe. While Gage and Caleb were here my husband ask about the water heater shut off value as Gage examined, additionally corrosion was discovered and a replacement was determined. Gage and Caleb left long enough to get what was necessary to replace it, returned and we had a new 50 gallon water heater installed quickly and efficiently. After the water heater installation, Gage ask how old our sump pump was - it was original to the house and 30 years old. Needless to say it might have been functional for a little while but under extreme conditions would not hold up. I had been interested in replacing an original toilet stool so we ask Gage for an estimate to replace the stool and sump pump. We received an estimate quickly and after understanding the 2 scenarios offered Gage told us they could be over the next day to replace both. As promised, Gage came over about 12:30 was finished with all by 4:30 and we couldnt be happier! I asked Gage many questions and learned much information that helps now and in the future. The only place we call when we need help - prompt, professional, excellent and friendly service - we say 5 stars and glad theyre there to help!

    Our water heater died during the evening (of course). We got the water shut off to stop the damage. We called Blue Duck first thing the next morning and they worked us into the schedule.     John and Fabio did a great job of installing a new water heater for us. The space where our water heater is located is very small, but they were extremely careful in removing the old heater and installing the new one. They also added a tray to catch water should there ever be a leak, and included a small electronic device to warn us of a leak. We have used Blue Ducks services for large and small projects over the past few years. In every case, they have done a fantastic job. They are punctual, meticulous in their work, and they clean up their work site. I highly recommend them.

    I have used Blue Duck for a variety of different situations, from a new water heater installation to (most recently) replumbing water lines under my kitchen sink. Each time, I have been more than impressed at their professionalism, knowledge, speed, and thorough attention to detail.For instance, with the water heater install, I can remember the plumbers being there most of the day; what I thought was a relatively normal situation was actually a bit of a problem. Our water heater closet was not wide enough to accommodate a typical water heater. Nevertheless, they ensured they could find a water heater that fit our needs, our budget, and the closet, of course! Once we got those details hashed out, they got to work and made sure everything was done correctly. They even stayed and helped with a water pressure issue at one of our sinks. Its those extra things that really prove they go above and beyond.It seems like it can be difficult to find tradesmen that you can trust nowadays, but I can confidently say that Blue Duck has my business from now on, and Ill recommend them to anyone that may have plumbing needs. My only regret is not remembering their plumbers names that have come for service calls, because I really believe strongly in giving credit where it is due.

    Philip replaced our hot water heater. He worked late to get the job done. It was a tight space and he had to grab a second tank and drain pan. Replaced the plastic drain with a brass one and had to replace a bit of copper to accommodate higher tank. Professional courteous and answered my young childs questions.     Gage Ham & Caleb Harris spent most of the day - in the rain - replacing our main drain line. Their good humor and fast work was very much appreciated! And Gage was super helpful in getting photos to our insurance claims people.Nothing so dramatic as a main drain & giant trench this time - just replacing an aged toilet. But it didnt quite fit the spot - so Gage did some custom carpentry and floor work and the end result is perfect. Caleb and Gage took care of all the clean-up and hauled off the old porcelain, too.     Gage and his crew worked on two projects. The first project involved replacing the water heater and vent piping. There was a little more to the vent piping than anticipated and Gage and Asher stayed into the evening to ensure the water heater was hooked up. The second project was the replacement of cast iron and clay tile sewer line from 1961 and a new tap to the city main. This involved dealing with lots of rock and took two days. My existing sewer line was hooked back up during the night so there was not any inconvenience to me. They were a good and thorough work crew. I would call Blue Duck Plumbing for future work.

    The community is fortunate to have Blue Duck Plumbing. They are plumbing experts and they stand behind their work. For instance, 6-months after completing some work, an exterior spigot started dripping when it was turned on.
