I needed to have the hard wired smoke detectors replaced in our house and solicited quotes from 3 local electricians. Canyon Electric was one of the few that offered the traditional smoke detector and a newer model which included a 10yr lithium battery that would eliminate the yearly battery changes. They offered me quotes for both and I found the price to be very reasonable which also included the install labor. The techs showed up promptly on the day of installation and quickly completed the replacement. I was very happy with the service I received.

This company is fantastic and Ron G., who came out, extraordinary!! We had a smoke detector going off all night. Canyon Electric was able to send him out to fix it. It turned out that our builder had used smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in four rooms and they do not have batteries. They were supposed to last ten years but lasted five. We had Ron replace all four with only smoke detectors and he did it very quickly at a great price and with the best attitude ever! I cant recommend this company and Ron G. in particular enough!

I had called another company and they wouldn’t even come out to the property, they wanted to give an estimate from a home inspection report. As a Realtor, that was a red flag for me! Very good. The employees name was Ron. Really nice guy. Had the courtesy to call when he was on his way. Helped identify the problem right away. Called on a sunday because it was slightly an emergency. I had no power in my master bedroom because my ceiling fan had some crossed wires that tripped the switch and wouldnt turn back on. He worked very promptly and fixed the issue as well as another fan that had the same problem in just under and hour. Price was reasonable for a sunday. We are extremely grateful to Canyon Electric Company and to the licensed electrician Ron who did the work. We have owned our home for 12 years and have had problems with our GFCIs tripping and cutting the power to our outlets and light switches. My wifes brother-in-law who is a handyman came to visit and he told us we needed GFCI outlets at all our bathrooms and in our kitchen and outside. He said this was a National Electrical Code requirement. After he replaced everything he left and a few days later we lost power to half of our house. Ron went from one room to another checking and replacing all the outlets the brother-in-law had done and he found a few others that were bad as well. He explained to us that due to the year our house was built the GFCIs the brother-in-law installed were not only not required but also they wouldnt work they way he had wired them. He said he sees this all the time when people who are not trained professionals do work they think is right. The charge for all this work was EXTREMELT reasonable. I am pretty sure a lot of companies would have taken advantage of the fact that we had had an unlicensed handyman do the work first and totally screwed everything up and now here we were at their mercy but NO, Canyon Electric charged a little more than $200. When my wife came home later she said OMG I was expecting $1000!. Its so good to see honest caring and dedicated people are still around. DEFINITELY would recommend Canyon Electric.
