    Matt & Jesse arrived on scheduled time. They replaced the batteries in all the Smoke Detectors. They showed us how to change the batteries and other helpful tips. They were patient and took the time to show and explain everything. One detector had to be relocated to make it easier to change the battery. They did all the work cleaned up and were done.Their work was done in a professional manner and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Josh and Connor came out today to replace a ceiling light/fan combo in our home office which has a very high ceiling. .     Josh and Aidan came to fix my constant tripping of circuit breaker problems that two electrical companies left me with. They also found other issues that were causing serious problems with my air unit and the outside electrical panel. JEA was happy to get this information and will send someone out!     This is my 2nd time reviewing this company. Josh and Anthony did a great job. A lot of companies wanted me to pay for someone to come out and give an estimate beforehand but these guys came out for free. They were on time, the service was quick and professional and the price was great! No surprise fees or extras, just the price exactly as quoted.I had them install a Tesla wall charger and it looks great. While they were here they also were able to check out some old cloth wiring that an AC contractor had found and verify that it is not in use. I’ll definitely be using them again after two great experiences.

    Chris did an awesome job!! He worked fast and efficiently, sacrificing his Saturday morning to quickly replace our commercial electrical panel that blew up and caught fire late on a Friday night. We had several freezers and refrigerators that depended on power to be restored ASAP. Thanks to American Electrical, they were the only company that responded to a weekend emergency call within 24 hours and were available with the correct supplies in stock needed to replace our panel.     Josh and Aidan installed 6 ceiling fans for me. They did a terrific job and made sure each fan worked and also checked the remotes to confirm each was programmed. Josh was at my home as scheduled and finished the installation quickly. They took all the boxes and debris too! I would definitely recommend Josh and American Electrical!

    Had my Tesla wall charger installed with American Electrical Contracting by Travis and Jesse. I wanted a clean install through the wall and they exceeded my expectations, even with high expectations going into it. They went through the wall the most efficient way possible minimizing the cost for us to have it patched. Fair price, friendly down to earth guys, quick installation, and meticulous attention to detail. Don’t use any other company for your wall charger install in the Jacksonville Metro area.

    I was recently informed in order to get homeowners insurance I needed to have all the cloth wiring in my home removed. With a tight deadline looming, I reached out to American Electrical Contractors. Ryan quickly assessed my needs & developed a plan to get the job done within the required timeline. Given the scope of work, not to mention over Thanksgiving week, this was no small feat. The crew was nothing short of amazing! In 2.5 days, Travis, Leo, Dillion, Rob & Braiden completed the job, delivering top notch professional service. They went above & beyond, answering all my questions & accommodating my requests every step of the way. Ive had many contractors perform work on my historic home over the past 35 years. It was a tight spot and he positioned it well behind a shrub so as not to be able to see it from our back deck.American Electrical Contracting is great.     I was very impressed from the start with the Estimator/Project Manager, Ryan Johnson. I explained what was needed and he provided an estimate before he left. The estimate Ryan provided was the best out of two other companies. The electricians, Ricky, Tu and Cody were professional and polite. They went over the project with me before starting and they completed the job in a timely manner. I will highly recommend this company to everyone I know!     Matt and Jesse were outstanding. Their workmanship was thorough and quick locating the cause of garage door failure to open, loss of WiFi, and outside outlets. They repaired the electrical wiring within minutes and power was immediately restored to the garage door, the Wi-Fi box, and the outside outlets. In addition to my initial call they reset the outlet in one of my bathrooms, checked the outlet wiring in the wall for my stove that impacted by a power outage, and installed a whole house surge protector. All this was performed with such wonderful, respectful, kindness, and joyful demeanor. Outstanding workmanship Matt and Jesse.

    Yesterday I had a breaker shut off, which was the one that the freezer was on, so I gave American Electrical Contracting on Philips Hwy a call, to get someone out to replace what I figured was a bad breaker. They set me up with Matt and Aiden for the next day (today). They found that the problem was not the breaker but a bad plug in the chain. While they were here, I had them install 3 dedicated plugs. They worked quickly, cleaned up when they were done and kept me informed at each step of the process. I will be using them in the future.

    On this episode of This Old House - Aimee style 😂 I am very greatful to the team at American Electric. James and Jesse are amazing! So skilled and the best customer service. Many, many months ago my front porch lights, most of the living room lights stopped working. I of course checked the bulbs etc. but nothing working.Had several electrician companies out with quotes in the 1000s of dollars and also recommendations to replace the lighting. A quick check on that showed my living room Central light replacement would be $3,000 or so dollars and pale in comparison to the quality of this antique one.Well American Electric was able to fix this issue today for 100s not 1000s of dollars! And didn’t have to replace any lighting because it was an electrical issue.I always wanted an old house in my childhood neighborhood and what a true blessing. Although a labor of love, I love keeping this almost 100 year old home in as best shape as I can, and so happy she didn’t have to lose her beautiful antique lighting and is shining bright again.I recommend so highly American Electrical if anyone needs an electrician here in Jax.

    I recently had the pleasure of working with James P. from American Electrical Contracting for an installation at my mother’s house. James installed a new line from our breaker box to our water softener unit, navigating through our attic crawl space with impressive speed and efficiency.James was attentive to my needs and concerns regarding the placement of the new line. He took precise measurements from the newly installed softener and installed two waterproof receptacle boxes outside to connect the units. His attention to detail was evident throughout the process.Upon completion, James and his apprentice thoroughly cleaned the work areas, leaving them in better condition than they found them. Additionally, James corrected a connection at our well/pump that had been a major concern for me.My mother is extremely happy with the quality of the work, and the cost was very reasonable.     Yesterday morning we had a large ball of fire come off our home…you can imagine we were so upset and didn’t know what to do! We called JEA and they came over within a couple hours. They told us to call an electrician because our wiring inside our house needed to be updated. He suggested getting it rewired “like today”. We called American Electrical Consulting and not only did they send Kyle and Aiden over to assess what needed to be done, both Kyle and Aiden showed up at 8am this morning! To say they both worked so hard would be an understatement. They just left at 8:30pm! Not only are they both very professional, thorough, and knowledgeable, they were so kind and sympathetic to our situation. They barely took breaks and worked diligently to rewire our entire house. We can’t imagine how hot it was in our attic, but not a single complaint from either of them. I could go on and on, but will end with IF YOU NEED AN ELECTRICAL WORK, THEY ARE LEGIT!!!! 10+STARS!!!

    This company was recommended by several of my neighbors to install our whole house generator. Got 3 estimates and American Electrical was the best. Their price also included permitting and hook-up to an existing gas source. The other companies required us to take care of that. The generator was placed where we wanted it, and the switches were mounted in the garage instead of on the outside of the house making a very neat and concealed installation. All wiring was routed through the attic space and any sheetrock repair, although very minor, was repaired after the installation was complete. Needless to say, but we are extremely satisfied with the entire process. Would like to give a shoutout to Mike Fowler, Shawn and the entire team at American Electrical Contractors for an excellent job!

    American Electrical installed a standby generator at my home today. The entire experience from initial estimate (Josh)to the installation (Avery, Justin and Davis)was top notch! The crew spent time analyzing the optimum location for the generator and for the transfer switch. Before leaving the crew thoroughly cleaned the outside and inside work areas to make sure the only thing left behind was the new equipment. Professional, efficiency, and personalism best describes the way they conduct themselvesUpdate - today Kyle and Kyle bonded the system. This was not originally part of the scope of work but Chuck(dispatch) decided to do it to make sure there were no hiccups with the final gas inspection and because it is safer. Kyle and Kyle made sure everything was properly done and that I was pleased before they left.This afternoon Mike performed the startup testing and certification of the Generac generator. He explained all aspects of the operation to me including fully explaining the warranty coverage and warranty options if I decide to exercise them.I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the entire experience of American Electrical supplying and installing my new generator. I called Chuck and he said they were bombed due to all the activity with the storm. Within an hour, Josh and Aidan came by, made the repair, took a picture of it, sent to the inspector and he immediately gave the final approval. The fuel inspection final was failed due to a stupid reason - American called Building inspection to see if they could get that final also - nope, but American has gone above and beyond to make this installation successful!

    Thanks to Ethans keen eye and attention he noticed the main stainless steel fuel line into my generator was severely rusted because of its poor placement when installed by the propane company. The steel to copper connector was partially in the ground where water sometimes stand after a hard rain. This would be catastrophic failure has been avoided because of Ethan! Check out the photo to see the old/new fuel lines. The propane company is coming out to reconfigure the connection to prevent reoccurrence.

    I called to schedule the installation of a RV outlet at my house. My initial contact with Shay (customer service) was outstanding.     We had a sudden electrical issue and this company went above our expectations as they helped resolve our problem. We initially spoke with someone on their emergency line and he was very informative and helpful and quickly got us scheduled for an appointment. He was sure to address our issue in a timely manner while also making sure we understood the problem and how it would be fixed.     The Navy Pier is complete and had its debut last Saturday night (5/18). The result is a spectacular 600 ft of lighted pier. Thanks to Bobby, Kyle P. Gabe M. and the whole crew.     Im very pleased with the work done by Dylan and Austin when I needed several installations done in my home. They were punctual, courteous and worked diligently to install a ceiling fan and two lighting fixtures. They were careful with assembling the pieces for the new-in-box fixtures/fan and they cleaned up, leaving no trash behind. I continue to be impressed with this company. Ive been using American Electrical for over ten years.
