On January 25, 2024 water began to back up into my kitchen sink and overflow onto the floor from another unit at the Vale Apartments in D.C. OConner Plumbing was sent to my unit. Previously, building maintenance came to the unit but remained outside because he refused to wear a mask offered even though I told him immune compromised individuals lived in the unit. On the other hand, I asked the two gentleman, Anthony and Dylan from OConner Plumbing if they mind putting on a mask I provided before entering the unit. They were kind, professional, obliging and gladly putting on the masks before entering the unit. They resolved the flooding problem and even lifted a large container that we used to catch the overflowing backup into the kitchen sink. They also emptied all the other containers that we used to catch nasty water in. I would like to thank Anthony who did the heavy lifting of the container and the great work he did in resolving the problem. Also, would like to thank Dylan who also worked to resolve the plumbing problem. I appreciate their kindness, professionalism and hard work to fix the issue I was having as quickly as possible. Both gentlemen had great attitudes, provided excellent customer service and knew how to be respectful in a customers place of resistance Thanks OConner Plumbing for having such great employees. Spencer Grothe was wonderful. Despite the delay of having to wait an inordinate amount of time for the WSSC to come and shut the water off, he was extremely patient and remained positive. We invited him to come inside where there was A/C, but he declined. He did a great job replacing and repositioning our Power Release Valve, and there was no mess to clean up when he was finished. Spencer is well mannered, well spoken, pleasant and professional. We will certainly request him by name for any future plumbing services that we may need. My husband and I are not in the best of health and are in our 80s, and we are sometimes hesitant to allow maintenance workers into our home, but we were comfortable and felt completely safe with Spencer. He is a fine young man and is most definitely a credit to OConnor Plumbing.

Stephen Parker was a top notch plumber. Not only did he answer all my questions and replaced my water heater in no time, he was a genuine and down to earth kind of guy. He figured out that my old water heater wasn’t install right and took his time to explain what and how each components work. Best part of this experience was the fact that he made one trip and took care of both removal and install of new water heater. O’Connor plumbing may not be the cheapest $$$ but certainly the best plumbing experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend both O’Connor plumbing and Stephen Parker to water heater needs. And kudos to staff members who arranged my appointment in such short notice. You guys rock!!!

Matt and Damian helped me by installing a whole home water filter system. They were friendly and extremely professional. Brenda was friendly and helpful on the phone. Matt demonstrated great knowledge of available systems, and was patient and responsive through correspondence while I shopped for the right product. When they encountered setbacks, they went the extra mile to ensure I was left with the best product and experience. I recently received outstanding service from OConnor Plumbing, specifically technicians Jeff and Claire! When I needed to have a leak looked at in my home, I called another large plumbing contractor in the area who wasnt able to send someone for four days. OConnor was able to have someone out in under four hours. I was impressed by their use of high-tech diagnostic tools, like a snake cam to see inside my walls and pin-point the source of the leak. Jeff and Claire were incredibly professional, and showed respect for my home by wearing boot covers and keeping things clean. They quickly and efficiently repaired the issue, to my satisfaction. Because of Jeff and Claires level of service, I purchased a service contract with OConnor for ongoing work at my duplex, and will continue to use them for my plumbing needs. I highly recommend OConnor Plumbing!

Ryan and Zack from OConnor plumbing did an excellent job fixing my burst pipe and installing a new water heater that was damaged from my flooded basement. They checked all my pipes to ensure there were no additional leaks and recommended the toilets and shower leaks get fixed. OConnor was able to come out within two hours after I called. Im so glad I found a plumbing company that provides quality work and a senior discount. Ask for Ryan and Zack, they were so patient in explaining what needed to be fixed, extremely pleasant and neat in cleaning up everything after the work was completed.

I purchased a new washer and dryer, which were delivered without the parts necessary for installation. Frustrated with the delivery personnel and the store from which I made the purchase, I called OConnor Plumbing and asked for help. Jeff and Clyde came to my home the same day I called. They quickly identified what was missing and showed me online what parts I needed to buy for the installation. Jeff even game me his cell number in case I had a problem while shopping for the missing parts. Jeff and Clyde returned the next day to do the install but needed another part, which I had failed to pick up. They returned the next day, after normal working hours, to do the final work. Because they were aware I had been without a washer and dryer for several days, they made a special effort to work me into their busy schedule..They were smart, polite, friendly, understanding and very professional. I highly recommend OConnor Plumbing and, in particular, Jeff and Clyde. Stellar service!

Steve Parker did a great job. He called ahead, showed up on time, covered his shoes. We had a slow master bath drain that was affecting the toilet, sink, shower and tub. He first attempted a cheaper remedy using only a plunger, and when that was unsuccessful, he brought out the power auger and was able to clear the line.

I really have to hand it to OConnor Plumbing. I had my bathroom redone, and was shocked at some of the shoddy work that was done by previous owners (and happy it didnt cause damage to other units before the overhaul). My technician George and his partner (I believe his name was Matt) were punctual, friendly, and professional. They were on time, every time, and worked well with the quirks of my building. I truthfully have no idea about how plumbing works, but they made sure to explain everything that they were doing for me. In addition, Evelyn from the office, was just as sweet and responsive as could be. I hope I never have to call them back for anything anytime soon, but I would recommend them to anyone- hands down. Inside water pipe leaking in townhouse. Called OConnor Plumbing. Came to the house that day, within 40 minutes of the call. Shut off the main water. Whew! Cody and Andrew were neat and clean, nice and communicated with us during the entire process. Needed replacement of a 30 year old water pipe. Had to dig up our front yard. Needed a plumber to come out ASAP due to a gas leak at our hot water heater. Jeff was able to come out the same day, without me even leaving my office to come approve the required work. He was timely, communicated through the entire process, and had the leak fixed in a matter of a couple hours. He wore shoe covers to keep my home clean, and even followed up personally later in the evening to ensure everything was perfect. This was some of the best customer service ive ever experienced.I almost subtracted a star from the review due to the woman who scheduled the appointment providing misinformation (It was not a small deposit of 35 dollars to come out and diagnose the issue. Because of it being gas, diagnostics was 220 right off the rip), but Jeff actually made that right by the time all was said and done as well. Just be careful if the issue is gas, as the scheduler didnt seem to know about this difference in price.

Our garbage disposal was almost 15 years old and began leaking one morning last week. I called OConnor and Evelyn was able to have Fred out at my house later that afternoon ready to install a new disposal. Fred showed up on time and was very thorough with the work. Found that not only was the disposal in need of replacement, but the drains were almost fully clogged with grease and debris. He cleared everything out at no additional charge and also found that our existing faucet also had a small drip at times under the sink we werent aware of. He was able to come back a few days later to install a new faucet that we picked up from Home Depot and everything is working great. Cant say enough about the quality work Fred and OConnor provided. Will definitely call them again when the need arises.

3 Day Holiday Weekend massive pipe damage from the cold weather and these guys were at our home within 45 minutes from the call. Friday at 7:00 pm on a Holiday weekend, and we were not gouged with pricing. Actually, from the start, a LIVE person answered helped up and said the plumber would call within 30 minutes, it only took 12 minutes for him to call. Fred was the plumber that showed up and he was kind, professional, very precise on everything that needed to be done. We called 6 other Plumbers that are 24 hours on call emergency and no one could assist for almost 3 to 5 day! We had a massive water problem with the temperature being 9 degrees. ALL I HAVE TO SAY, PROFESSIONAL, HONEST, AND I WILL RECOMMEND. Thank you to your Company for delivering when no one else could and price was very fair.

OConnor was able to assess the problem, and get me in touch with a restoration company to remove the damage and build me a new shower. The employees I worked with the most were Cody Carroll and William, and they were able to answer all my questions and help me develop a strategy to address the water damage. Id recommend OConnor to anyone looking for a plumber.

Steve had come out to our house on Monday morning the tenth of May to fix a bad leak in the master shower. While he was here fixing the leak in the shower, he also installed a new handicap toilet! And he completed the two jobs on no time!! The price that I was quoted by the O’Connor office were the same reccom prices that Steve charged on his invoice......no surprise’s here!! I am so happy with the great work O’Connor Plumbing did. With my townhouse over 34 years old I had a number of old style gate valves (valves with a knob to turn), with the one to the backyard hose bibb (outside spigot) that leaking when open. Additionally, the front hose bibb valve couldn’t be completely shut off and always dripped so the only way to turn it off was with a gate valve inside. I also wanted to change out my old main gate valve from my water meter to a ball valve with a quarter turn on/off. This would make shutting off the water to the house so much easier when we are a way for a few days (a very good idea) and now one can tell at a glance whether the water is on or off. I was so pleased with the work that O’Connor Plumbing & Heating did writing up a detailed proposal and fixing numerous issues. I now have the peace of mind and ease of being able to shut the water off to our whole house with just a quarter turn of the new ball valve. Great job.

I had arranged a service call to check a leak at a valve that had just been installed. The necessary repair was a bit complex but completely free under their warrantee. I also arranged for the technician to replace two of our toilets. Coincidentally, I noticed another leaking faucet this AM and our technician agreed to repair this leak and repair the vanity sink plug on the same visit. I am so appreciative that he had that extra time to spare, it will help my next water bill and prevent us from needing an extra visit to address this problem.

Andrew and Matt did a great job replacing a laundry pump in my basement attached to a sink. They did very thourough work and explained each step of the process. During the visit they were able to also address an external hose bib leak, educated me on winterizing the pipes and even labeled the shutoffs for me. Andrew did offer other services he saw might be valuable and was not pushy in the process. I also really appreciated that they use fully digital tools for estimates, payment, and scheduling. I even got a picture of Andrew sent to me when he was on route so I knew who to expect! Being new to the area, its great to know theres a reliable plumber to call!

I had been without hot water for about a week as I waited for replacement parts from the manufacturer as it was still under warranty. The original plumber I called to look at the problem could not come out on the same day. I was desperate to get it repaired immediately as hot water is somewhat of a necessity in winter and I had to go back to work the next day. I called O’Conner and they promptly scheduled me for service on the same day. Their plumber Ethan came two hours earlier than they said he would arrive and immediately got to work. He gave me an estimate which was in line with what the service department told me on the phone, and very fair, then asked if I wanted to proceed. He fixed it in about four hours and left the space neat and tidy when complete. He explained his labor to me in detail and was friendly and courteous.

We had a plumbing emergency in that we discovered our main line was backed up on a Friday night. OConnor Plumbing was very responsive and had Jeff come out within a couple of hours. Jeff was very knowledgeable and courteous and I appreciated he did everything he could to keep the price down, but after hours plumbing emergencies are expensive. I had called another plumbing company and OConnors prices seemed comparable for emergency work. The 5 stars is for Jeff the pro they sent out to help. I would give OConnor plumbing 4 due to the high cost.

Jeff (sp?) came in and diagnosed the problem (leak from multiple parts of the toilet and valve connection, and SLOW water flow refilling the tank, OLD toilet) and recommended replacing the tub and other parts. As this had been ongoing, an old toilet with multiple failed attempts to permanently fix the drips instead of replacement I agreed to it. He got it done, turning off the water supply, pulling out the old valve and toilet, and installing the new ones, including fixing the flange underneath that was not properly installed. Close to a thou for a new toilet and valve (ouch) but better than a leaking toilet (and valve). Thumbs up.
