    My water heater went out, I booked an appointment online with Mortensen Custom Plumbing. The next available opening was several days out. Marty called me the next day with an unscheduled opening. He came out, within a couple hours he replaced the water heater and even helped me out with a couple other issues. The service and quality of the product were top notc. I will definitely use Mortensen again.

    I never write reviews, but Marty and his company are beyond amazing! Do not look further if you need help with any plumbing services. Marty was beyond professional, he showed up when he said, and he even was willing to reschedule a huge indoor/outdoor plumbing repair because I ended up super sick on the day it was originally scheduled. I’m sure that schedule change put him out considerably and he never let me know if it did. I could not appreciate him more. Marty was completely transparent about the entire process, communication was phenomenal and he made a not great situation so much more pleasant than it could have been. A long review to say use this company.

    Their website was extremely easy to use for setting up my appointment. From that point forward, Marty was very responsive. Not only did I receive a confirmation email, but I also received a text from Marty. Marty was here on time as promised. I explained to him our current situation, and he assessed it for us. He provided me with three options. Once we chose our option, he immediately went to work. He was very thorough, very professional, and very neat and organized. He treated our situation as if it were his own. As promised, before he left, he had installed our brand new hot water heater and he did it economically, efficiently and on time! I would strongly recommend using Mortensen Custom Plumbing for all of your plumbing needs!

    Marty is an excellent plumber, very efficient and professional. He has done plumbing for me in the pass and I always feel trusting of his work. This last job he replaced my toilet and replaced the sewer hook up. He did the job quickly and I was very satisfied with his work. He always gives you at least 3 quotes an once you decide which option is within your budget he gets working on the job. Iv recommended him to other friends looking for a good plumber, an I would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy plumber.

    Marty provides the best, most well-thought-out, and innovative plumbing solutions in Flagstaff! Ive used Marty exclusively for plumbing construction, improvement, and repair at my residence at 12 E. Benton Ave. for more than 20 years. This includes installation of a W/D stack unit and high-end water heater system into a cramped utility closet in my older home.     Professional Plumber, Great customer service but PriceyDisclaimer: I was reached out by Marty after my poor review for the company and he did a great leadership in resolving the conflict, addressing my concerns and helping with expenses by offering Compensation. I am re-writing the review as I felt I was valued as a customerWe had a leak in the kitchen caused by a broken pipe inside kitchen wall. Marty came over and said that to avoid damage to cabinets, its best to access from outside. He offered us 3 option ranging from $900 to $2600 and then $ 4100. The $4100 was for full renovation of drainage system and accessing the pipe through the exterior wall of the house. We went with the highest quote as we wanted things to get fully fixed and have warranty. Honestly we were really surprised with such a big number. Unfortunately there were several things that we expected Marty to discuss with us or do:1- As a professional who has been in this business for many years, wed expect them to at least consider other options such as mold possibility under kitchen flooring and behind cabinets so we dont go through with something that we had to redo again and double pay. He mentioned the possibility but did not advise us to first have someone make sure of that.2- Quoting and charging the customer after doing the job as It give me a better idea that the price I am being quoted is based on the labor and material that have been done and used and not just an estimate.When we figured there was mold we had to rip the kitchen off and we talked to Marty several times to which he was responsive as he is good at listening and communication. Marty took off $700 for a portion of work he had not yet completed (making access panel for future inspections). Then we were left with a $3400 bill which insurance did not cover.Marty had mentioned that they dont work with insurance but we did not know it would become such a hassle. So we learned a hard lesson to work with companies that directly work with insurance in futureOverall, we ended up being happy with these guys after Marty showed that he cared about his customers and is ready to help with the finances and offered ways to reduce cost (we asked him to take off his 5-year Warranty which saved us $600).However, we had lots of headaches with running plumbing bills y insurance which was not their fault.Marty is a good guy and he is really good at communication and listening to your concerns and this is his strongest suit. He is also professional in his job. If you decide to go with Marty, you will have good service and customer care, but it will be more expensive and you have to deal with insurance yourself.

    Marty was amazing. Did in one day what other local companies could not do in 2 years. Marty is kind, professional, knowledgeable, more than capable, and protective of your home as he would be his own. I would never recommend using anyone else. I cannot say enough. We are just so pleased and grateful to have someone that we can trust and rely on for issues.

    We have used Mortensen on multiple occasions in meeting our plumbing needs. Twice the circumstances were urgent and in both instances Marty was at our door within a couple hours of making the call, and he worked diligently to finish the project.     My neighbor referred Mortensen to me saying he was the highest quality plumber in Flagstaff, but probably “not the cheapest.” Hard to find quality these days so I jumped on the recommendation. Marty showed me three different options for my project at different price points. Ultra professional throughout. Excellent communicator. Friendly. Patient with my many questions. I will definitely call Mortensen plumbing for any future projects!

    This is the 3rd time I have used Mortensen’s services. Every single time I was extremely satisfied with the services. Marty is not the cheapest in town but is the one who will complete the job right, once and w/o issues or delays. He presents a very professional explanation with 3 different price levels for your service. Communication on the phone was great, they arrived on the date and time promised.

    We couldnt suggest Mortensen Custom Plumbing enough! Marty was extraordinarily professional. I fancy myself a bit of a DIYer and Marty was patient with my questions and thoughts. Everything about the process of working Mortensen Plumbing was above and beyond good customer service. The receptionist taking the call and making the schedule was friendly and easy to work with. For the two visits required Marty called twenty to thirty minutes prior to the agreed upon time as a much appreciated curtesy. The proposals offered were clear, concise, and offered a spectrum of options for the fix, ranging from a band-aid to a high end custom update, all options clearly laid out price, components, and warranties. On a personal note, as someone who previously worked in the Tech industry, I wholly appreciated his use of technology, he took notes and photographs of our system with his smartphone, and switched over to a tablet for other uses, took payment on the tablet etc. In the future we will use Mortensen Custom Plumbing for all of our Plumbing needs.

    If you want a professional, responsive plumbing company then choose Mortensen Custom Plumbing. Marty provided top-notch service to both me and my tenants. He discovered a problem on the property that could have become a HUGE costly expense and offered several options to fix the issue. He fixed the problem, dividing the job into two days, while accommodating my tenants schedule. He stayed in constant communication with me during the repair process. My tenants and I are very happy customers, and I will definitely use him in the future for all my plumbing needs at my properties.

    All my experiences with Mortensen Custom Plumbing have been great. I appreciate the time Marty spends diagnosing the problem and providing options to fix it. I specified Options because there is usually more than one way to fix the problem and depends on how the homeowner wants to approach the fix. Having a choice is important to me.

Amazingly, no expensive products or services were pushed on me, rather I was given honest advice about how to keep my water heater going myself.     When we first built our home in Flagstaff we had trouble with the original plumber and mistakes were made that continue to haunt us to this day -- 16 years later BUT soon after we moved in and had our first flood in the house a month later, we were recommended to call Marty Mortensen who was just starting his business. As I remember it, he came in from the forest giving up a deer hunt or something to fix our problem that day. We have used him ever since and he has solved problems for us. Just this week, he came right away and stayed long hours to replace a troubled toilet and the various underground connections and systems affecting it. He added a multiyear inspection to the deal and gave us options for the repair working with us to plan what would be best for us at this time. We recommend his professionalism and caring nature.

    Marty came out to a remote location near Flagstaff and did a quality job installing a tankless hotwater heater. He gave us a few options for the level of work he would do and two of the options came with continued service agreements. His prices are not cheap, but we have been happy with his work and he has honored his service agreements at no additional charge -- even though he has to drive a fair ways to get to our house. He is professional, pleasant and respectful of his clients and their homes. He is a plumber you dont have to clean up after in more ways than one. I recommend his service.

    Mortensen Plumbing did a great job of working with me around a sticky issue. Shane was the plumber who came out. I needed a new line to run to my my laundry machine (because the original contractors apparently didnt find it prudent to run both hot and cold water to my laundry machine). I also had a new garbage disposal to install. Shane was more than happy to make those adjustments, and also informed me of other oversights in the kitchen plumbing, offering fairly priced solutions to the situation at hand. Everything is now shiny and new and Ill certainly go to Mortensen for any further plumbing needs!
