We contacted Mac’s Plumbing when we had issues (immediately after the warranty period) with our mini split. It was impossible to keep clean since the builder had installed it incorrectly by making the drainage go up hill. Needless to say it caused water to back up and spray all over the inside of the unit causing mold/mildew to form. We made the decision to have Mac’s replace it with a Daikin unit.It took the better part of a day. Nate & Ed were friendly, polite & completely professional. Nate took the time to throughly explain the issues. They left the area spotless. Ed even helped trouble shoot a minor issue with our jetted tub while they were here.It is so refreshing to find friendly professionals that can be trusted, I would highly recommend Mac’s Plumbing.

Mac’s Plumbing and air is the absolute best small company around! We decided to go with this company instead of a large company because Steve is so personable and honest. Fast-forward a year and a half later our brand new AC unit shut quit working in triple digit weather. we reach out to the company as well as our contact letting them know that our AC unit was out. They came the next day and by the end of the week our AC unit was up and running even better than before. Thank you so much for your quick response and outstanding customer service! I appreciate this company and the owner!! So happy We decided to go with this company over a much larger company! Nate and Ed are the best!

Honest, friendly and quality work.I incidentally found out my water heater, which was originally installed in the 90s, was completely rusted on the inside. I did some research and found that MACs was a local carrier of Bradford White water heaters, which are American made and high quality. I called for an estimate/eval appointment and Steve came out the next week. He is personable and friendly and gave me an easy to understand estimate and his honest recommendations. As a single female homeowner, I felt very comfortable and never felt as if he was trying to upsell me (which other contractors and businesses have done in the past).He gave me several options and even told me about the SMUD rebates ide be eligible for. I opted to convert from gas to an electric hybrid for its efficiency, cost, the fact that it will cool the garage a bit, no pilot light and the smud incentive rebate.On the installation date Ed and another technician (whos name I cannot remember, Im so sorry) arrived promptly at 8am as scheduled. They were equally friendly and personable. We talked about some of our outdoor house projects and they got right to work.We had painted the garage and asked that they let us know when the old water heater was removed so we could paint behind it and without asking they did it for us! I even, without thinking turned the water on while they were working and got water everywhere, they just politely reminded me not to use the water and helped me clean up a bit.When they went up to the attic to do electrical, right away they noticed the HVAC system had some issues. I know nothing about HVAC, but remember him showing me the photos and basically the coils are rusted, theres coolant leaking, its falling apart and we are breathing in particles of fiber glass. The week prior I was just thinking the HVAC was probably 20-30 years old and needed replacing. I called the office to make an appointment for an HVAC Assessment and got one for the next week, but our technician called Steve and sent him the photos. On the phone the three of us were able to decide on a new system and establish an install date ASAP due to the condition and their very packed schedule coming up this summer. Of course they told me all about the smud incentive rebates so they were able to save me quite a bit of money changing from gas to electric hybrid. Smud offers a $3900 rebate.Im so thankful they noticed because with summer coming up, my HVAC could have failed at a very unfortunate time. Overall, I am so happy with the fast, quality, professional work theyve done. And its a bonus that theyre local. I am a lifelong customer and cannot recommend them enough!And one other thing! Our technician also offered to add 220 and 110 plugs for our garage/outdoor projects. He added room in our service panel. He didnt have to do that. He went the extra mile.

I recently had Nate and Ed come to my home to service my air conditioner. I was extremely impressed by their knowledge with the issues I was having with my A/C system. Nate was able to give me a variety of options with detailed explanation. I was also impressed how kind and patient they both were throughout there time with me. I would highly recommend Ed and Nate to anyone seeking A/C or heating service in Elk Grove. Hopefully you will be just as impressed by them as I was.

We were so pleased with the crew who installed our Heating and Air system. The work was extensive requiring duct work and new insulation, and a new whole house fan. Nathan and Matt were especially conscientious, cleaning up every day and consulting about where to put the new thermostat and fan switch. They were always on time, focused, and let us know when things might get noisy so we could plan our day. How wonderful it is to have a warm house as the cooler evenings settle in. They went above and beyond in sealing our attic against potential critters, and making sure our dryer duct was clean secure. Our system is a change from gas to electric. It is extremely quiet, and we are happy with it.

We recently hired Mac’s Plumbing to fix several broken water pipes in our mountains house. Their office staff is friendly and knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service throughout the process. The plumbers were timely, professional and very knowledgeable. Throughout the project they kept us informed and didn’t quit until we were leak free. I can’t say enough how how happy we are that we found a Plumbing company that we can trust for all our plumbing needs.

Exceptional service and knowledge from Ed and Nate who installed a heat pump water at our house. The installation was not simple in moving the existing unit out from inside and connecting the new unit to the garage, but their workmanship was top notch. They handled everything with care and we are very happy we went with them after talking with 3 other companies. For anything in the HVAC realm just go with Macs and you will not be disappointed.

I can not say enough about Steve and the crew. The professionalism is beyond anything Ive seen in a company of their nature. I have had them do multiple services on my house within the last few years and every time they come its been nothing less than amazing. My house was built in the 50s so they had their work cut out for them.They make sure when entering and leaving the house they are wearing job specific gear as to not track dirt or junk around. They explain every step of the process from start to finish. Nate has been my service tech for multiple things and he always is kind, courteous, and goes above and beyond to make sure i know what im doing.Even when i have questions or concerns they address them immediately, over the phone and even in person. They even brought two intense coolers to make sure the house stayed comfortable during the Heater/AC replacement.Any other plumbing or HVAC issues that might come up Steve will be my first call. Well technically Shannon as she runs the office, and just like the rest of the crew she is amazing!

They recently installed a new Daikin Fit Heat Pump and Air Handler in my home to replace AC and a gas furnace. Everyone who came to my house was on time as scheduled and behaved with courtesy and professionalism. They gave me a good price and did quality work. They coordinated all the rebates from SMUD and CA Tech Update. I only had one small form to fill out for SMUD. All the work passed building inspection without difficulty. The office staff was exceptional in their knowledge and effort. They coordinated everything including the building inspector. I will consider Macs Plumbing, Heating & Air first for all my future plumbing, heating and air service needs.

They were very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He fixed our issue with an quick part swap, which luckily he had handy. Now the shower works as good as new.

Wow! I dont think I have had a repair/replacement go so quickly. We decided to get a new hot water heater (changing from gas to electric - SMUD rebate FYI) and we were impressed with Steve and his honest and professional opinion and presentation. We were able to get our hot water heater replaced within days and the technicians were great. Very professional and kind, clean cut, courteous...you know..those things that arent always present in service today. They did forget something (but then, who doesnt you know?) and I had some questions and Steve called me back after hours on a Thursday night :) They handled the issues with a smile and quick service. The office coordinator was probably one of the most friendly and competent people I have spoken with in quite a while. So...thank you to all of you for taking pride in your job and doing your best. This past week I had a very positive experience with Macs Plumbing in Elk Grove regarding scheduling a water heater replacement that was part of SMUD rebate program. The professional conduct started with Kristyn through several phone conversations and e-mails. Earlier today, I was very fortunate to have their service technician, Edward, who truly was a professional at his craft while be very informative on the new heat pump water heater he was installing. In these times, it seems as if service companies give you upfront lip service on their legendary customer service but fall way short in the end. Not this company! Their price was competitive, but the final results was more than I expected. Thank you!

My kitchen sink backed up on Sunday to the point where I couldnt use it, so I knew I needed to get a plumber out right away. Monday morning at 8:30AM I called Bonney, and was routed to a call center where they said I would have a technician call me back to schedule something. By 11:00AM I still hadnt heard from them, so I called Macs because they had good reviews. Kristyn who answered the phone was courteous and professional, booked me an appointment on the spot, and text me a bio of the technician that would be showing up ant my home. They also sent me a follow up text when the tech was on their way to my house. The technician (Steve) was at my house by 2:00PM, and had the sink fixed in less than 30 minutes. Steve was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. He answered all of my questions, was dressed professional, and made a point to wear booties on his shoes the whole time he was in my house. I will definitely refer Macs, and use them again in the future. Excellent service and reasonable prices! (I still havent heart from Bonney, and it it 2 days later, sad.)

I have never needed a plumber before, however, when my somewhat new toilet would no longer flush properly, my husband was away on business, and I needed to get ready for work, I needed someone fast. I called Macs Plumbing, left a message at 5:30 a.m. and received a call back from Macs shortly after 7:00 a.m. saying their man, Steve, was on his way to another work site that was very close-by and would be happy to stop by on his way. Those words were music to my ears, it has been some time since I have dealt with a company that truly understands what Good Customer Service means. Steve found the problem, and was able to get it fixed for me!! I am now a loyal customer and will not hesitate to recommend Macs Plumbing Service to anyone. Thank you, Macs!

Steve (the owner) is a man you can trust. We have only used him a couple of times when we experienced an emergency on Friday - the water main to the house was damaged. We had to shut it down until it can be repaired and had no water to the house. Steve took part of his Saturday off to come and set up a back-up hose from the meter (bypassing the broken line) to the house. Its hard to find a contractor like him.
