I’ve had the privilege of working with the team at Bates Electric for multiple large projects at two different homes over the course of nearly a decade. Baron and his team are absolute masters of their craft! They take care to treat my home as if it were their own, and are happy to provide input or answer questions on the fly. The entire team is a consistent joy to work with. I will certainly continue to work with the team at Bates for all of my electrical needs!

They came out and quoted the job and started working the same day. The electricians and Baron were professional, courteous, friendly and respectful. The team did excellent work and cleaned up after like they were never here. We just bought our house in Dayton and the Home Inspection was horrible. It was so helpful that Bates electric came out so quickly to fix the items that were not mentioned in the Inspection Report. I will be using them for future electrical needs a recommend them to all my friends and family. Thanks again guys!

An amazing job by Bates Electric. Ethan and Austin were awesome tech repair guys who were kind, knowledgeable and hard working. The owner came out first thing to assess the situation. I will go back to Bates for all my Electric needs, simply outstanding and helpful...especially when something happens with your electrical that you werent expecting. I highly recommend Bates Electric. They are quick to respond and the techs were at my house within two days of me contacting them. It only took a couple hours for them to put in a full 100 amp service, move the meter outside, get rid of the fuses, replace the service line cable and update the secondary grounding. The techs were very professional, personable and respectful of my property. I would give 6 stars if I could!!

Darren was a massive help in an emergency electric situation after the windstorm this past weekend. He came out and gave me an estimate within an hour, and Austin completed the work within a couple of hours after that. Thanks to their quick service and customer service, we have power restored and I’m so thankful. I will use Bates for all my electric needs.

Bates Electric is fantastic!A brief-but-strong storm took down our power line and damaged our homes electrical systems in the process. Thankfully, Bates Electric was there for us. The owner, Baron, came out same day, inspected the damage, and had a crew dispatched to fix everything that afternoon. They even took care of scheduling the post-work inspection and ensuring that the inspection report got to our utilities provider immediately, so the provider could rewire our home ASAP (the next day, unfortunately; I wish Baron and his crew also worked at the utilities company, because if they did Im sure it would have been faster!).Scheduling, work efficiency, cleanup . . . everything was done well. I hope I wont have electrical problems for a long time, but if I do Ill definitely be calling Bates again.(Extra kudos to Ethan on the repair crew, who was especially great and very personable. Thank you Ethan!)

This is the after, wish I could’ve got a before pic. (Its night and day)I shopped around for rates and these guys gave me the best rate. Im a new homeowner that needed a plug for a my oven installed. Upon inspection Baron realized I my old box wasn’t to code. Him and his team installed this new one , labeled it , and rewired the cables to make it look neat & clean. This was my first time working with an issue like this. They made it easy to and were professional. Highly recommend for the Dayton area! Thank you Baron & Matthew!

I cannot express my gratitude enough to Baron and his team at Bates Electric. They were prompt, professional and knowledgeable when it came to my old fuse box from 1956. Everything was explained to me very thoroughly to where even I understood it. They replaced my old fuse box with an 100 amp switch box, moved the mast and meter to an area outside that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye rather than where it ideally would have been placed by other contractors that viewed the job. They also installed the necessary GFCIs to keep the house within code. I decided to have a few other installations done (2 outside lights and a hardwired Ring doorbell) and they didnt even make me feel as if it was too much to ask being last minute. The inspection has been completed and all is good! Thank you so much Bates Electric! Job well done!

I had a positive experience with Bates electric from the first step of scheduling through to the work being completed. They were able to get me scheduled for 4 days later, when everyone else I called was booked for 4-6 weeks. Isaac and Austin did a wonderful job at my home. They were able to troubleshoot switch issues we had for years and install a new exhaust fan in a bathroom. They also fixed a light fixture that I had tried to install myself, but I aborted mission. They were professional and provided quality work for a price I found to be reasonable. I would definitely have work done by them in the future.

Ive used Bates twice. They came out and trenched to my garage, upgrading a 30 amp circuit to a 50 amp and installing an 220V 50 amp Tesla charger for me.Recently, they came out and upgraded a stove outlet from 3 wire to 4 wire. The outlet, the way they first installed it, wouldnt allow the new stove to be pushed back to the wall, they came back and reoriented it. Amazing customer service and speed.Reasonably priced, but, more importantly, they could get here faster than anyone else I called.Would call on them again. Also, the tech and his helper were super friendly.

We had a large chandelier we were too intimidated to install ourselves, so after seeing a Bates truck/van passing by me in traffic, I researched them. In particular, a good review about a chandelier install was what caught my attention. They were kind enough to answer my questions and give me a quote even though they closed for the day in less than 5 minutes. I was scheduled promptly, and we were extremely impressed by Austin. Austin was polite, patient, and professional when we all realized his task at hand was quite the feat. He installed 2 large light fixtures in our home, one being about 20 ft high. I couldnt recommend this company more, and will definitely use them again.

Next day service! We started the day with some troubleshooting of basement lights and an exhaust fan and ended the day not needing the exhaust fan but installed recessed lighting in the living room, troubleshot the basement lights and fixed an personel electrical pole that provided service to the house. These guys were great, super helpful and up for anything.

The crew also came back to wire my new hot tub. Baron Bates is a reputable and fair electrician working in the Dayton, Ohio area. I am an out of state investor and he was recommended both the local REI group as well as my property manager. We needed an electrical panel replaced immediately and he was able to move some other things around to accommodate us so our tenants wouldnt be without power. I truly appreciate his dedication and professionalism. I highly recommend him for your electrical needs in the Dayton area.

My furnace and some of my lights went out when we got hit with that bad snowstorm. I called everyone and couldn’t get in touch with them or a call back. Finally I called Bates, and they answered. They took my information and were very honest about the chance they may not be able to make it to me that date. Yet a little less than 2 hours later. I received a call from a technician that he was 10mins from me. He arrived with his and was very polite. Assessed the situation while training. An came to a conclusion within mins. Overall the problem was fixed in about 20-30mins. I’m very pleased overall and highly recommend them to anyone.

Bates electric was recommended by a very reputable company. I called and right away they said they could come out.The next day the tech arrived on time. Brandon was my technician and he was very friendly, professional and explained in layman’s terms what he thought the problem was. He took his time and throughly checked everything and reassured me that my home was safe.After he finished, everything started working and there was no need for anyone else to come out!I had called several electric companies before Bates Electric was recommended, to make an appointment but they were unable to come out. One company was seven weeks booked out. If it was not for the referral, who knows who I would’ve found.Some of these companies are really just out for your money. They don’t take the time to help the customer understand what is going on. You’re at their mercy.You can tell when you get someone who really enjoys their job, is knowledgeable about there profession and performs a service to his customers by explaining the problem. I hired Bates Electric to fix some electrical problems at the house that I am renting like a service conduit line that was not secured to the house properly and was a potential fire waiting to happen. I also lacked the necessary electrical outlets to run window air conditioners and they added the necessary electrical outlets so I can have them in the house.Baron, Austin, and Dan are great electricians and they worked swiftly and promptly and done all of the work very well and they cleaned up as well. Although cleanup was minimal on this job. They said they would would take 4 to 5 hours and they were done in 2 hours. I do not care if the job would have taken 5 or 6 hours, because you get what you pay for with these guys which are great professional electricians and I cannot thank them enough on a job very well done

Today they hung a Chandelier on a 18ft ceiling and they are coming back in a few weeks to update lighting throughout our house. I called on a Sunday due to my breaker box being outdated and not functioning, causing my water pump to be out and no water in my home. I phoned in the morning and was greeted with kind considerate service and 4 hours later an electrician (Austin) was at my home. Austin was friendly , hardworking and clearly great at his job as he installed a new panel , explaining the process and taking all my concerns and questions with a smile and was kind to my family . Austin made sure my water was running and I was taken care of before he left. Bates Electric was a pleasure to work with. We had some major electrical work to correct when removing a dropped ceiling in our kitchen. They were very punctual on job timing, arrival to our home, and job completion. They were very thorough in their execution, ensured code was followed, and delivered a great finished product. They left the work area afterwards very clean and even came back for a follow up correction to free of charge and timely when needed. I cannot fully express how amazing Barron and Bates Electric was today. My electric meter wasn’t displaying a reading- so I called DP&L to let them know. DP&L came to look, removed my meter and then refused to put another one back in because they said a piece of the meter socket needed to be repaired. It’s the middle of summer, I have two small children and pets, and now I had no power, which meant no AC. This all happened at about 2:30 in the afternoon. I called Bates electric and Barron not only said he could come look at the problem, he had me send him pictures, got the parts he anticipated needing to address the issue, and was at my house to fix the problem before 4:30!! Totally reasonable price-wise and worth every penny.

The guys that came to my house did everything efficiently and quickly. They were able to fix all of my needs with my house. My only complaint is with the scheduling of my appointment. I first sent an email through the website and received no response. I then called the number and the mailbox was full so I couldn’t leave a voicemail. I then had to text to schedule my appointment which felt unprofessional. I had to keep texting the person to make sure that I could get scheduled and make sure they were still planning on coming out the day that they scheduled me because I never received a confirmation. Other than that, the service was great and I would recommend this company to a friend. Just work on how to schedule an appointment.

I had to have a electrical conduit cut down to 2 inches so that my new stove could be installed. The conduit (and the cable inside) ran underneath my slab. I talked to 2 electricians and they were afraid to attempt this job because if they accidentally cut the cable while cutting the conduit, it would require major concrete work to run a new cable. Then I called Baron Bates. He came over and had it finished in 30 minutes. He is a master experienced electrician that can do what no else has the skill to accomplish. Highly recommend him for any job.

Hello. I have been fixing up my old huber heights house during covid and the one thing I know I am not qualified to work on is electric stuff. I decided to go with Bates electric because they had fix pricing on ceiling light installations, were very friendly over the phone and the reviews online were wonderful.When the date of my service came, they arrived early to my appointment, were friendly, observed all covid guidelines and installed everything in a timely matter. I now have ceiling lights in all my bedrooms and in my living room. Plus my wallet is very happy because it did not cost me an arm and leg!*The only thing to note is they have a 3% charge on card payments so keep your checkbook handy.
