I had a fairly lengthy to do list that included everything from minor electrical work to fixing all kinds of broken things around the house. HandiCo was easy to schedule, and handled everything quickly and easily. They were able to troubleshoot, and even fixed a ceiling fan/light switch that had never worked properly, despite bringing in electricians over the years. Ive tried working with numerous independent handy people, and scheduling is always so difficult. I will absolutely contact HandiCo again instead!

We hired Handico to help us with our kitchen renovation (just completed in May 2021) for the demolition part. (The company we bought cabinets and countertops from only does installs). This our third time working with Handico for different household repairs/projects. The previous two times turned out great, so we had no hesitation calling them for this job.Working with Joe to set up the dates and the work to be done was easy… all over the phone, with some images shared via email. Since Handico works on a time-and-material basis (ie hourly rate), it really makes arranging the work so much easier (in my opinion, anyway).We needed the following done: (1) Take down and remove all existing cabinets and counter tops, (2) remove the soffit that the upper cabinets were anchored to, (3) patch-up where the soffit used to be, and other areas as needed, (4) relocate electrical outlets for the range and Microwave hood, (5) hook up new plumbing to the new sink. Joe was very keen to our needs; he even sent one of his guys over to check the soffit as an “advance scout” to eliminate any surprises and secrets the soffit may be hiding (it turned out to be empty). Joe also requested the drawings and spec sheet of our new kitchen provided by the cabinet company to ensure that the area is properly prepped. He definitely knew what needed to be done.The work: Joe sent Luis to tackle the job. While a 2nd guy came aboard to help with the demo, Luis was clearly the guy in charge. Luis was very professional and he knows his trade very very well. I’ll try to attach some pictures to show what was done. Whenever possible, Luis would ask what needed to be asked. When necessary, Luis would pull me aside and explain what he needed to do. And when I wasn’t catching on, Luis was also very patient with me. I did my best to stay out of his way.In the end, Luis and Handico left the site how it needed to be. The day after, our Cabinets were installed uneventfully. Not a single complaint from the installers. The upper cabinets were mounted where the soffit used to be. Base cabinets were put in. All cabinets were cut out for new plumbing and outlets; perfectly placed by Luis the day before. Aside from the fact that we discovered my walls aren’t square (typical for a home built in 1949), the whole project went without a hitch. Luis did come back to finish the plumbing after the sink and countertops were put in. Handico delievered!This was definitely a big job. While I can’t say it was stress-free (hey, it’s still a kitchen reno), I couldn’t be any happier on the end result. And without Handico, it wouldn’t have turned out the way it did. We will hire them again in the future.Oh yeah, the Cabinet people were great, too… but that’s for a different review.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Handi Co. to address a persistent leaking problem, and I must say, the experience exceeded all my expectations. I also previously hired them to install quarter-round moulding in my home and Tom did an excellent job with that, also. They are definitely on my go-to list for home improvements/repairs

I cant say enough good things about Joe and his team. Demond installed a challenging kitchen backsplash and it came out great. I appreciated that Demond made a couple of style and color recommendations. I took his suggestions (brushed nickel outlet covers!) and the backsplash looks incredible. Hire these guys. Theyre on time, they communicate well, and they know what theyre doing.

Joe and his crew are great! I called to schedule an entire condo painting and a long list of handiwork. His team was very prompt every day. On day 1 his team and I walked our entire condo going over each item of work to ensure they understood what was needed. The paint job was awesome.The entire condo painting top to bottom and handiwork was finished in less than a week. Felt like it was a new condo at the end! I just called them again to do electrical work and schedule work the next day. Great group and great work!

They did an excellent job of explaining to me the best way to fix the problem and then implementing the solution. We had an some minor issues with our toilet and some bi-fold doors in our hallway plus an additional issue with a shower door handle coming loose. The service has a two hour minimum and an hourly charge thereafter plus materials. Handico came highly recommended so we were optimistic that these annoying household issues would be solved. The servicemen first tried to fix several of the issues (rather than replacing them), a decision I likely wouldnt have chosen myself given the ease and relatively cheap cost of replacement but I trusted the guy to do his job, thats why we called! After unsuccessfully trying to repair several issues, he wasnt able to, so he ended up replacing the door track and doing his best to tighten the shower handle. The total bill was much higher than it shouldve been due to the time spent initially trying to repair things. We brought up our concerns to HandiCo and they were super responsive and appreciative of our business and feedback. You could tell they not only cared a lot about delivering the best quality service but also that the customers were left feeling good about the value. THAT is the true sign of a good business and why we will give them another chance next time. The servicemen was so disheartened and clearly a young guy in training, he will be great one day and we are happy to work through his growing pains, especially when you get management who is as incredible as these guys are. In the end we got the issues in our home solved and the bill was cut more than in half. These guys were timely, communicative, respectful, and DID fix the bulk of what was needed, it just took them a bit longer than anticipated, an issue they owned up to immediately and made us whole for. Two thumbs up, we will be using them again!

It is very easy to schedule an appointment online and I like the fact you can attach pictures to the request. The reply from Mike was very prompt and the work was scheduled quickly. Tom, the carpenter, came about and after a short meeting with him, he took care of the work with no problems. He did a nice job of explaining different options for fixing our front gate and it turned out great. The gate finally stays closed !!!!We will be using HandiCo on future work for our Assoc. and I will definitely use them for work in my unit. These gentlemen were punctual, professional and hard working. The work was A+ and they left our condo neat and clean. They had to patch cracks in the ceiling (high rise) and each patch was done perfectly. They might not be the least expensive option (although they were not the highest quote, either). However, they are worth a bit more money based on the quality of service you will receive. I will gladly hire them again and recommend them to friends.

Ive had them do electrical work, change bulbs, replace fixtures, etc. They always get the job done efficiently. Demond M., Drew and Tom are the technicians I have used and they have always done fantastic work. Handico is a bit expensive though, but relative as the work is top notch! :-)

I had a water staining on the ceiling of my downstairs bathroom. Mike from HandiCo was super quick to get back to me and set up an appointment. The repairman, friendly and on time (which is rare) not only was thorough while he was detecting where the leak was coming from, he limited the amount of damage done to my unit. He found the source (an upstairs toilet) and repaired it. They came back later to ensure that the leak was indeed solved and that everything was dry to repair the ceiling. After the fix, you wouldnt even know any damage had even occurred. Flawless repair, from the drywall to the painting. While it is a little more pricey than I was wanting, it was worth it for the level of quality they provided. Id definitely go with HandiCo the next time I have any home repair needs.

So impressed with this company. I dropped a necklace of great sentimental value down the bathroom sink and they came out to help within the hour. Their plumber, Demayne, opened the pipe, retrieved my necklace, put the pipe back together, left the place spotless and even cleaned the necklace off for me. They will be the first company I call whenever I am in need of these kind of services. Excellent customer service.

This time, they patched a hole in a plaster wall and primed, matched and replaced a piece of aluminum capping near the roof line, and grouted a shower. Replacing a broken garbage disposal and corroded drain pipes.HandiCo did a great job for a very reasonable price. Scheduling went smoothly, and Demond arrived right on time. He was professional and personable, making me feel very confident that he would do the work well. I initially planned to just have the garbage disposal replaced, but he caught the corroded drain pipes and was very up front about the additional work. I had previously had a plumber out to bid on the work who was going to charge over $1,000 and was up selling me on a membership and additional work without giving a good sense of why I needed either. Demond did the work and got the materials (except the new disposal I already had) for just over $200 and rounded down on his time. I’d happily use them again, and will talk to my condo association about using them for other jobs in our buildings.

When the task was too big for one person, Demond was quickly and easily able to get a colleague to come by and assist for no extra charge. He courteously and quickly completed tasks like mounting a flat screen, installing a new kitchen faucet, etc. He also gave us some free advice as I was lamenting about being severely overcharged for some simple plumbing work through another company in the past. It was our first time using HandiCo but will certainly not be our last.

Ive been using HandiCo for my handiman needs for the past eight years.This included building a fireplace mantle, general electrical work, plumbing, leak testing/diagnostic and repair, and other jobs I wasnt comfortable doing myself.HandiCo is very professional, the people they employ are skilled tradesman, not weekend handimen. They are always on time, courteous, thoughtful about not creating a mess around the house. Because they are so good, they are always busy, so sometimes it takes a few days or up to two weeks for them to send someone in, especially if you want a specific person that is already familiar with your house. They do not work weekends.They cost $88 an hour, min 2 hours, which is a bit on the high side, but in this business you mostly get what you pay for.

I used HandiCo a number of times at my old condo and was very pleased, so when I needed some “honey do” projects in my home, I didn’t hesitate to call. As usuals they were prompt with responding and scheduling and generally things went well. I did deduct a star for two things: first, one of the projects never got completed- I don’t know if he just forgot about it or what, but I realized it wasn’t done until after he left. It’s a small one that I guess I could do on my own, but part of the reason I hired a handyman to do it was because I don’t have time to do it myself. The second issue was that another project involved pulling out a permanently installed window air conditioner: whoever installed it used a ton of nails, glue, and who knows what else to jerry-rig it into place. To get it out, he actually had to use an electric saw, cutting through plywood and nails/screws. Unfortunately the AC is right by our children’s playpen and toys, and though he moved the playpen out of the way, I wish he had told me before he started cutting so I could have draped a drop cloth or something over it so the kids things wouldn’t be covered in sawdust and metal shavings. We ended up having to hand-clean every toy and I was worried we couldn’t get it all (my children are infants so they still put everything in their mouth). So overall a good experience, but those two issues were really disappointing.

Joe was able to get me a quote and the work completed quickly so I could list my condo at just the right time. Work completed was patching walls, painting walls, install of kitchen faucet, painting metal behind range, replace damaged floor boards and caulking windows. I was one-week out from my due date when our neighbors washing machine leaked into our ceiling directly across from the nursery. I have used HandiCo Inc. for many jobs and they always do fantastic work. They offer complete perfection. Each job has been completed with true excellence. Their people are always on time and get the job done perfectly with no time wasted. No matter what I ask them to do, they have no problem doing it-and I have asked them to some difficult jobs. I have also asked them to do some small jobs. It doesn’t matter. They get it right no matter the size and scope of the work. They always take their shoes off when they enter the house.
