    Great experience. Jeanette was able to get us on the schedule the same day. Kent diagnosed and fixed our electrical issue in lightening fast time (he actually knew the issue was our outside balcony outlet before he even arrived). I felt their prices were very reasonable considering their expertise. You know what they say...good isnt cheap, and cheap isnt good. Would definitely recommend this company, especially if you are living downtown. I would give them a call again should I have any further electrical needs.

    These guys are absolute PROS!! It’s almost impossible to find reliable, knowledgeable, and courteous electricians that go above and beyond in the city let alone in river north.Jeanette very quickly scheduled for me to have all of my track lighting replaced, a fixture replaced, several switches swapped, and a swag chandelier installed. Kent & Steve were rock stars! This was not an easy job, I have tall concrete lofted ceilings (almost 11 feet), to which they came prepared, had all of the tools/hardware they needed handy, measured so diligently and went above and beyond to notice the little details (that I certainly don’t notice) like installing my new track fixture to compliment the curvature of my wall- great eye those two have!When the job was finished, everything was installed to my satisfaction (and theirs), they did a final inspection, they cleaned up, and even took the trash with them on their way out(which I SO appreciated as our trash room here fills so quickly)I cannot recommend these folks enough 10/10 will be calling them for my next project!     These guys are fantastic, if you’re in need of an electrician in Chicago call Skyline.From the start Jeanette was extremely helpful in diagnosing over the phone and providing some instructions on what to do immediately.     Kent and his team did an incredible job! We had recessed lights, pendants, and new light-switches installed by Skyline.- We had a great initial consult by Kent over the placement and size of the lights. This helped us a lot.- We used Halo Home recessed lights, its a new technology where the color warmth is changeable and dimmable from your phone. We had them installed and everything works perfectly.- The lights are perfectly alligned.- Gloves were used to avoid marks on the glass pendants.- Kents team left the house in a clean state, great people, it was a pleasure having them over.- We received a call 2 weeks later if everything was still working. Great after care service as well!Overall exceptional work and service for a fair price! 200% recommended!

    Kent installed two light fixtures for us. He came a few days before to patch up the hole in the ceiling so my painter could paint over it, then came back to finish the job.     Beyond happy with skyline electric. After calling 2 HVAC companies as well as my building maintenance, everyone was clueless on the power trouble I was having with my thermostat. I heard 3 times that installing a low-voltage system in my unit would be impossible.Kent came out and within an hour the job was done. Now I can enjoy having a Google nest without issue! Couldn’t recommend enough!

    When you buy a new house, theres nothing better than finding your guys. (Or gals. No sexism here.) Now weve got our electrical guy! Kents the best. Hes super fast to respond to texts and calls. And hes really efficient in diagnosing issues. He installed a complicated chandelier for us, then figured out why we seemingly had no power running to our smoke & carbon monoxide detectors. Hes a Nest installer, too, which is harder to find than youd think. Weve had several contractors in who obviously didnt know a thing about it. After everything Kent did for us, he charged us a ridiculously reasonable amount and was on his way. Ill absolutely use him for all electrical everything in the future. Just keep in mind, he may not be able to get to you right away, but he will get to you, and itll be well worth it. Pro tip: Make the guy some coffee. He likes coffee.

    Honestly I cannot say enough good things about Skyline Electric. This is a little embarrassing admitting this publicly, but I’d called Skyline today, to see if they could help repair a ceiling fan that no longer worked, after less than a year after they’d installed a brand new ceiling fan. Kent was EXTREMELY responsive and came out to help remediate it the same evening… at 9:30pm. It turned out to be a dead 9 volt battery in the remote. WOW… so embarrassing… but yet soooo grateful that I’m dealing with a professional company that cares that much about the work that they do. I will always go back to Skyline! Thanks Kent!!!

    Who knew an electrician appointment could be such a good, satisfying experience?! Jeanette and Kent are amazing- great communication, friendly, knowledgable, and trustworthy. Kent knew exactly what was wrong and got to work replacing the breaker in my electric panel as well as the outlet on our patio.     I needed an electrical panel to be replaced to bring it up to code. An extremely knowledgeable and friendly electrician, Kent, showed up on time and installed the unit. He was careful as far as protecting the floor of course with a dropcloth. He was extremely efficient.     My experience with Skyline electric has been nothing short of amazing. I needed help with fixing my thermostat for a line voltage HVAC system. It was a challenging job that not many could do and most of the people I reached out to were reluctant since the task involved was complex. Kent from Skyline electric was brilliant – he was knowledgeable and understood my need from our initial conversation.He even went the extra mile to ensure I was confident and comfortable with this installation by showing examples of successful installations at various other condos. He was prompt and very professional. He even recommended we install a four-position switch that would help set fan speed as required.I am completely satisfied with his quality of service and cost.     Kent was great to work with. We recently bought a home that needed extensive electrical work (replacing and moving an electrical panel) in order to install a new electric hot water heater and Kent and Aldo got it done quickly and at a reasonable price. Scheduling was very flexible - the job was done over the weekend which worked best with my schedule. Kent does quality work and doesnt cut any corners - it is rare to find a tradesman you can trust. We 100% plan to work with Skyline again in the future.

    I had a superior experience with Skyline Electric. They are great electricians, handle the administrative details accurately and efficiently and they take the time to make sure the customer is happy with the outcome!When I called (after reading YELP reviews) I gave info on what problems I had (along with what I thought needed to be done). I was surprised to receive a call from the owner. He wanted to work with me over the phone to possibly resolve the issue (for free!) and eliminate the need for a service call. Who does that?? We werent able to fix it, so his guys came out. Very professional and friendly. We still had problems with an old fixture. The owner came to work with his crew, but didnt charge me for this extra time. My bill was very reasonable and all matters were fixed. Skyline is now my electrician. They are a real find

    Skyline did a great job installing nest thermostats in my condo. We ran into some problems with the thermostat but Kent figured out a solution and didn’t leave until the job was done! I appreciate the quality work and would highly recommend Skyline Electric!     I needed somebody to figure out whether a problem I was having with some LEDs was serious or minor, and what I should do about it, if anything. Skyline returned my call within a couple of hours and communicated well about scheduling, and even though Kents previous job ran a little long, he extended his workday to come check out the situation a couple of days later. After examining the equipment, talking things through, and following up the next morning, he gave me good, straight advice about my options, didnt try to push me toward expensive work that might not be necessary (I decided to wait), and, in the end, didnt even charge me for the visit. So, I cant testify to the quality of his electrical work, but I sure appreciated the integrity and the generosity. Very positive experience.

    Kent from Skyline Electric just did a remarkable job for me. I first asked him in to solve an electrical problem with my furnace which two other tradesmen had failed to correct. He figured it out immediately. So I asked him to walk through my house with me to evaluate seven or eight other electrical problems. The house owner before me had done a lot of amateur rewiring, which turned out to be much worse than I imagined. In his walk-through Kent did a very professional, detailed analysis of each of the problems along with his proposed solutions. His fee , which seemed reasonable to me, covered eight hours of his labor plus an assistant.The job itself was a nightmare and uncovered more, seriously dangerous wiring problems (like bare wires touching old dry wood). He and his assistant worked nonstop from 10 AM to 8:30 PM. He did not ask for greater pay than his original bid. I would say his work was exceptional. He really knows what hes doing! His work is top-of-the-line and I have no doubt that he saved our house from burning to the ground.

    Just moved into my new condo and wanted a Nest thermostat to replace my old setup. I purchased the device from Best Buy and asked them to install it but the Geek Squad dropped the ball in scheduling my appointment and I grew very frustrated.Skyline came to the rescue and took on the project. What I didnt realize was that my heat/ac setup was unique and complex. Knowing this I realized that I picked the right company to do this. What I found reassuring was that Kent, who completed the project, was a certified Nest installer.Kent was very helpful in walking me through each step of his installation process. Through no fault of his own he found that the first device I purchased was defective. We exchanged the bad Nest for a new one and the installation was finally completed.Overall I think anyone else would have given up due to how complex the setup of my heating/cooling unit. But Kent kept at it and found a solution to my needs. I highly recommend Skyline. I plan on calling Kent again in a few months as I need a ceiling fan installed in my 2nd bedroom.     Responsive, quick, knowledgeable, and friendly - Kent is the way to go. I was looking to replace a couple of thermostats in my unit.     I can not say enough good things about this company. We had them install 26 lights, install a chandelier/fan box, replace 4 lights, move a light switch, add 2 outlets, move another outlet, and remove 2 different outlets. it was 3 full days worth of work, the guys were here right on time everyday, very friendly, and more importantly, trustworthy. They were responsive with all the questions, and flexible with changes we made after the quote. All the guys really know their stuff and double, if not triple check their work. Kent, the supervising electrician is like a magician when it comes to making things happen that most electricians would have to spend a lot of time figuring out how to make it work. It seemed like Kent researches the latest and greatest technology because he was able to comfortably explain all our options when it came to the different housings and light switches. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of their work and will be hiring them again in the future.

    Let me first say, that I have not officially retained Skyline for their services, but I wanted to give them a shout out for helping me when I was in a bind. I have been trying to close on my condo for 3 months now and have experienced several delays (none Skyline related) along the way. We were finally in the home stretch when my lender flagged the electrical panel as possibly needing repairs. This would yet again delay our closing which was particularly bad timing as our lease is running out and winter is quickly approaching. Due to me talking to Skyline over a month ago to inquire about an initial quote, I knew that the panel was working fine. So on short notice I reached out to them to craft a statement to send to my lender stating as such. I called them at 8:50 in the morning and by 9:50 I had not one but two statements from them that I could send to my lender to help me close on time.I will definitely give Skyline a call when I am ready to do an upgrade. Based on the reviews it sounds like their actual work is as phenomenal as their customer service. Thank you Skyline Electric!!

    Dont look further for an electrician! Skyline is busy but more than worth the wait. We have a baby on the way and debated whether it was the right time financially to update the lighting in our dark home and when Kent, Alex, and Chris showed us the finished product, we were speechless! From start to finish they were on time, professional, kind, and, coming from someone who cleans the house after the cleaning woman leaves, they were immaculate! They even worked around my 120 lb dog who wanted to be one of the guys, saving us from having to take him to daycare. Cant say enough!

    Kent is an all-star electrician. You can tell electricity is second nature to him. He figured out a wicked problem that was happening to many of our lights. It wasnt easy and tested our patience, however, Kent was cool, calm, and collected and figured out the issue with precision and care - a lost neutral.     Beyond helpful. Came home to all power in just my condo unit being out with no obvious problem at the circuit breaker. They were able to troubleshoot the problem immediately over the phone tracking the issue down to my building’s main breaker and walked me through how to reset it in minutes which solved my problem. Professional and were genuinely interested in solving my issue without scheduling unnecessary appointments, sketchy quotes, etc. They will be my go to electricians from now on.

    What a find! Id been saving up a bunch of little and big-ish electrical jobs in my house for a while and finally decided to bite the bullet. Kent and Jeannette (his scheduler) were SO attentive and communicative with me from the get-go. He was slammed with some huge emergency kind of jobs for bigger clients, but he and Jeannette made sure to schedule time for my non-emergency stuff, and even offered to come to my place on an evening or weekend for no extra charge.He really considers every job equally important. His pricing was very competitive, and my jobs (from switching out some hanging lamps, putting in a new halogen bulb, to bigger jobs like bringing an electrical outlet to my outdoor deck) were not going to make him a millionaire, but he treated me like they would. Hes a perfectionist and wouldnt allow my lamp to hang from the ceiling any way but the exact length and direction I wanted.Plus hes so much fun to work with. Hes hilarious, down to earth, and has stories that will blow your mind. At the same time, hes extremely professional, knowledgable and meticulous about his work. He comes from a long line of electricians in his family and takes his work and your safety very seriously.And i havent even mentioned Bob yet. Bob came with Kent the second time out, and he was just as warm, friendly and professional as Kent. My house presented loads of century-old challenges to them, but they did NOT charge me extra for the extra work. They stayed true to their quote. I love these guys and feel like I have electricians in the family now. Ill definitely be calling Kent for my next job.

    The wires on my hot water tank burned out. I called and spoke with Ken. He told me they would be here within the hour, and hed come himself if everyone else was tied up. About 50 minutes later, he was here. About 40 minutes or so later, he not only repaired the wires, he also did on my other hot water tank (Im in a multiunit). Needless to say, I hope I dont have any other electrical issues, but if I do, I told him Id be reaching out to them. Thanks Ken!!!

    I called this electrician from a recommendation from my realtor and Im glad I did. Before hiring Skyline, I had another electrician over to figure out why my microwave wasnt working and for 1 hour the OTHER electrician just put the test in and out of the plug, and after an hour they didnt fix anything but charged me. I called Skyline and they came over, understood what the issue was in a matter of minutes and came back the next day with all the supplies to fix my electrical box. Before they did that, I got an estimate from another company and they said it would be 3x more since they would replace the whole unit. Skyline said that was not needed, and helped me find a more adorable solution that fixed my problem! My microwave works now, my electrical box is compliant (before it was breaking all sorts of regulations) and Ive hired them again to work on some light fixtures. Its hard finding a trustworthy electrician and Im glad I found one in Chicago. Will 100% recommend them to family and friends
