I recently had issues in my fireplace. Earlier I called an amazing technician from other company in the area. They not only charged me hundreds of dollars for diagnosis but also gave me quote of few thousand dollars to fix the issue. I am glad, I called OHA for 2nd opinion. Kevin, from OHA did an excellent job. He identified the actual issue, replaced the faulty part and saved me thousands of dollars. Nice, professional and punctual in the service.

Jonathan did a great job on the quality check of the recent installation of my HVAC. He was smart about programming the high-tech system to my phone so I can change the temperature by using the app. He expected to stay about 30 minutes, but b/c of updates to the software and my old houses plaster walls, he was here much longer - never complained, even though he had to go outside, inside, up in the hot attic, use the breaker panel box. He was a champ. I feel confident that he is an expert and did a great job.

Jacob and Matthew of OHA -Duct Cleaning, performed an incredible cleaning procedure in our home, (-which I believe, never had the ducts previously serviced). They helped move several items to be able to bring in their sizeable vacuum unit. They arrived early, worked through the morning and even installed new vent fixtures for us (which I had picked up). The air actually seemed much fresher after the process was completed. ...A huge improvement 👏 !Since we have a cluttered home (yes, my fault😔), navigating their vacuum unit through a maze of obstacles was definitely above and beyond what most services would consider. Were grateful to this team for their thoroughness, professionalism and expertise.This job was way overdue and were glad we chose OHA to perform the cleaning! 11-1-23. Alex K. arrived on time and was ready to work. Routine inspection due (199/yr for 2 inspections, priority emergency service, and 5-10% off parts/labor). He was polite to my family and offered to talk to me about my heating system as he inspected it. He showed detailed pictures he took on his phone of some dirt buildup. We did agree to install a UV light but there was absolutely no high pressure sales tactics. Me and my wife had already discussed getting one last year. You get what you pay for with service, honesty and skills. I will continue to use this company.

My upstairs AC unit stopped cooling. Brian Hatfield came right on time and quickly assessed and fixed the issue which was a motor starting circuit that had went bad on the outside unit. They worked very well together on my large job removing old and installing two new separate A/C and furnace units. When one person had a free moment, they immediately augmented the other team. Wow! As a realtor I work with many vendors and OHA has consistently been one of the best companies I’ve ever worked with. My technician Kevin, is always thorough and an ethical service provider. He takes a lot of pride behind his work and it shows. He also goes above and beyond. In fact when he came to replace the condenser in my outdoor unit it turned out that he was given the wrong part needed to fix it. Rather than rescheduling, he drove over 30 min to get the correct part and came right back to install it. I am no longer sweating my butt off, and because of that I will be a customer for life.

Our HVAC unit broke (well overdue for a full replacement and it finally went out) so we had 5 companies come give us quotes. We are in the Stafford area and after getting all the quotes we decided to go with OHA. Not only did their price beat all the other companies but they were also the most thorough and professional. The day of the replacement, we had their worker Michael Kime come and do the work with another guy that I dont remember his name. They were both very professional and friendly. They did excellent work!! We are happy to have our AC running again and we are extremely happy with this company.

The AC in the house I just purchased broke a couple days after getting the keys. Brian Hatfield was the service tech and he did a great job of both identifying the problem with the unit and walked me through the process of determining what caused it. It turned out the unit that was purchased by the home owner was far below the rated size needed for the climate and we needed a 4 ton unit instead to prevent continual unit failures. This matched with everything I’ve researched online and Brian spent time walking me through the different options for the 4ton based on how long we intended to stay in the house and the different levels of efficiency ratings. Great guy and I’m glad we were able to identify the right unit for the hot climate we deal with these days.

I wanted to say how pleased we were with Philip Thompsons work at our home. He is pleasant, caring, and professional. He made sure that the job was done well. Johnathan Campbell is outstanding! He was very organized and professional. He and his partner Antwon (sp?) worked like a well oiled machine together. It was like poetry in motion, with no wasted motions between them. They installed our air conditioning system in record time. I felt really bad that they had to work in our attic on such a hot day but thankfully everything went smoothly thanks to their knowledge and professionalism and they were finished before the sun hit that side of the house. He assessed the situation in 10 minutes, was a great communicator, and extremely effective. He repaired my AC Unit in 20 minutes. I signed up for a service plan because of Godfred. John, the gentleman dispatching Godfred was a life savior. I couldn’t find any other company to come, but as a family run business, John figured out a way to get a technician here. Our technician—Brendan—yes, he’s the man on the van— I found him to be a knowledgeable expert, answering my questions, and his performance was beyond expectations. Ive used OHA previously, and it has always been a good experience. I called in on a Thursday for an A/C issue, and they had a technician over the same day. Our technician, Jeremiah, was very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain to us the issue, what he did to fix it, and even showed us pictures. He was very patient with us when answering our questions and was very friendly and professional! Highly recommend OHA!

While most experiences with technicians are typically just okay, our experience with Zack was absolutely phenomenal. From start to finish, Zack went above and beyond for me and my family during a very stressful, frustrating time (our AC unit had stopped working - terrible in the middle of summer). Not only did he come out ASAP at night, Zack was so friendly, professional, informed, and pleasant as he took so much extra time to carefully and methodically break down the replacement/repair process, explain every component and possible charge, next steps, and possible charges. My husband and I were so well informed about ways to avoid this problem in the future, maintenance best practices and tips, and ways we could save money and avoid this stress. None of this was necessary to his work and he took the time to patiently answer every question and explain further despite it being late evening. He communicated clear expectations and made realistic estimates and conclusions so we were never given false promises (which can sometimes be easier to do when working with customers). Just as promised, he came back the very next day to work on our unit and even cleaned it out COMPLETELY for us for free. Hes a truly fantastic, diligent, professional, and dedicated individual; I could not have asked for a better technician and subject matter expert. My family and I send our sincerest thanks.

Update: We had a unit installed by Kyle & Ashton. It was a fantastic install, and the new system is amazing! Kyle explained how the system was installed, what everything was on the inside unit, furnace and humidifier. He gave an explained how to use the thermostat & app, along with suggestions to get the most out of the new system. The whole process from estimate with Brian to completion has been outstanding!While OHA was at my home for an HVAC matter when an urgent plumbing issue arose. They were able to dispatch a plumber after hours. Daniel was thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient. He was able to fix my shut off valve issue and get everything back in working order in within an hour of arriving. I was impressed with how clean he left the area when he was finished.

The entire experience was painless and went smoothly. My technician, Manny Caban, was right on time and he and his teammate worked throughout the day to remove the old system and install the new. By late afternoon, the house was cool. The next day, Jacob Ubiles arrived to clean the ducts. He and his team mate were professional and found issues in my 20+year old ducts. All were resolved and now one room that never seemed to cool is at the right temperature. I am very satisfied with OHA and their staff that supported this.

All of their employees have always been great to work with and done an incredible job that exceed my expectations.The last project was a new HVAC system. Taylor did an amazing job helping me decide on the equipment and providing the quote and Michael did a fantastic job installing the system. It only took a few hours to install and I can say that my house is much more comfortable now. If they offer you an Air Scrubber for your new system - DO IT. I didn’t believe it but my home smells like “new car” and the dust has been cut down to next to nothing. Totally worth the cost.Thank you again OHA!

My compressor failed on my relatively new heat pump installed by a different company. After a few quotes, I contacted OHA. Bernie, a HVAC technician with over 20 years of experience, quoted me price ranges over the phone for various solutions comparable to my current system. This saved us time and money before coming out to verify and schedule installation. He gave me confidence over other companies to proceed with an entirely new heat pump for less than other quotes for labor to replace the compressor. A very smooth and quick operation with OHA and Bernie.

Amazing service!! My AC broke in Aug at the height of the heat season. I heat up in an air conditioned room so this was certainly an emergency situation for me. They came out and got my AC working immediately. It went from 86 to 65 degrees in just a few minutes. Then I upgraded my 20+ yr old thermostat and now my system is good to go for another 20 yrs. Highly recommend this company!!!

From the time I called after my 17-year old HVAC System went out, to the time I was feeling fresh A/C from my brand new American Standard HVAC system was less than 2 days. An all-around excellent experience. Beginning with Brenden, who very quickly told me what was wrong, and offered me a few solutions, and realistic estimates, which helped me decide that repairing this old HVAC system wasn’t a smart thing to do. He immediately told which system he’d recommend for my home, and gave me the price. Everything is so expensive right now, yet compared with the other 2 quotes I received from other companies, OHA still came in anywhere from $2,000-$5,000 cheaper. They ordered it, and had it installed two days later. The technicians who installed it were Kyle and Zach, and they worked incredibly efficiently. I was told to expect an 8-9 hour ordeal yesterday, And today they were in and out within 4.5 hours and Kyle stayed behind for an additional ~30 minutes to talk me through the new system and answer all my questions. He was honest, real, and gave me true honest opinions on the system, how it’s going to work, and even how much I paid. I would absolutely recommend to have this company conduct all maintenance/installs even if they were more expensive due to this experience. The entire process was smooth, transparent, and reassured me I absolutely went with the right company and would HIGHLY recommend requesting this crew to work on your HVAC system install if you ever unfortunately need one, or would like an upgrade. 10 STARS!

Brian Hatfield checked our 2 ACs, and looked at parts that previous technicians had not. Both of our units are old, and both had rusted coils, which, if they rust through, could leak. Its better to find out in the spring than in the middle of summer. Brian was thorough and courteous, and he cleaned up afterwards.Later, Brian returned to troubleshoot the furnace didnt turn on when needed. He found that the pressure valve was stuck. He fixed it; tested it. Its all good.

Absolutely excellent and so efficient. That is the best service I’ve ever gotten from an HVAC/plumbing company. I had both my water heater and hvac replaced on the same day. They coordinated so well, with the plumbing team coming first to empty the tank and then having the hvac team start a bit later once the tank was empty. They finished both jobs in one day, barely leaving any specks of dust and installed everything perfectly. They each set up work stations and brought materials to cover the floor to ensure my floors wouldn’t be damaged. The hvac team even cleaned up the dust in their area and used wet wipes to wipe down the floor and wall. Glad to keep them on as the company to regularly handle both machines for me in the future. Professional, neat and timely- what more could you ask for?

This visit I had a hot water heater installed; there was a last minute switch of personnel and Jon showed up to the job not knowing exactly what hed be doing that day -- that being said, he did an exceptional job. I was impressed with his attention to detail and professional attitude. I would once again recommend OHA, and specifically Jonathan, for any of your household plumbing needs.--Im not sure if my second review posted, so this is my second AND third review Im writing for OHA Heating & Air on behalf of the same technician, Kevin. When Kevin was here for the first visit to service my furnace, I received an estimate to replace the valve that connects the water to my washer. He came back a second time to replace that valve for the washer, and what of course happened..? The main shut-off valve to the house COMPLETELY BROKE and wouldnt turn back on after it had after the washer valve was fixed. Kevin went above and beyond to drive and pick up additional tools, come back, and fix the main valve to the house very late in the evening. I purchased the annual protection plan to have OHA provide service twice a year, and I will absolutely be requesting Kevin for my visits in the future. Last time I gave him 6 of 5 stars.. This time Kevin was 7 of 5 for truly going above and beyond. Thanks OHA, and thank you Kevin!!

Very happy with all their techs I’ve interacted with - they really try hard to make sure the homeowner is comfortable, knows who is coming, show respect for the home premises, and provide sound feedback.I’m a nosy homeowner so before I paid for a replacement part, the tech had to explain exactly the problem and why the part should be replaced. He did so very nicely and patiently so I understood the problem and the solution. I am overall very happy with this company and will continue to rely on them for all my HVAC needs.

Myra and Brendan were awesome, professional and fun to work with! Our AC stopped working and no one I called was available to come out for an emergency call… until I called OHA heating and air. Myra answered the phone and helped make sure my concerns for parts availability and need for repair were addressed. Despite it being 82 degrees and climbing in our house, Myra made my night and told me she could have a technician out to our house within an hour, and OHA delivered. Enter Brendan… He came on time and called me ahead to discuss the problem before arriving. He told me what he thought the problem was before getting here… and he was right! Within 5-10 minutes he had found the problem and told me what it would take to fix it. Parts on the truck and AC back up within 1.5 hours of me calling Myra! 40 minutes of that was drive time. That’s service! I was so impressed that I signed up for a maintenance plan with them. Oh, and by the way, they service gas fireplaces, so I signed up for servicing that as well! He was personable, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He then completed the service on my Kohler generator and explained the weekly exercise cadence since this was my first experience with this generator. I am so glad that I had contacted OHA two years ago to inspect and clean my gas fireplace and there was no doubt in my mind that I wouldnt contact them again for this years check up and cleaning.Our fireplace is a little over 20 years old so it was just beginning to show some mechanical signs of age. We had planned on replacing the entire unit this year, however unbeknownst to us, because of the type and location of the fireplace, Bernie, our OHA tech, explained that full replacement would involve removing the siding outside and more, to get the fireplace out. Oh boy! Not at all what we expected.Bernie, who has over 25 years experience in the business, thoroughly inspected, cleaned and repaired a couple of components so we could temporarily use the fireplace. He offered an alternative to replacing the whole fireplace. We really liked the style of ours and since it had no other issues, Bernie suggested they could order all new gas components to replace the old ones which would ultimately give us a new and safe fireplace without the huge expense and trauma of ripping off house siding and potentially damaging the floor to ceiling stone surrounding on the inside.We liked that suggestion and the parts were ordered and received within a couple of days and before we knew it OHA contacted us and Bernie was back to install the new components .So, I cant say enough good things about this company! I wouldnt use anyone else. They are extremely professional, considerate and courteous from the 1st phone call making the appt, to notifying you the day of, the technicians name and estimated time of arrival, a subsequent phone call from the technician letting you know when heading your way, and identifying himself on arrival.Their technicians have the requisite technical expertise, are considerate when entering your home, putting on booties, a mask when necessary, explaining and responding to your questions, and thoroughly cleaning up after themselves.

OHA update: Today David came out to fix a bit of connection to the HVAC that required a specific connector for Loudoun County. He was well within the window, fast (despite having to get a different type of pipe), very polite, and thorough in explaining what he had done. While there have been some hiccups in dealing with the scheduling folks since my first review, the techs have all been great, and the system has been working very well!

Many skilled trade trade contractors will charge you whatever they feel like they can get away with. From our first interaction, I felt that they would be different, and they have. The costs associated with our project as well as the quality of workmanship has made OHA, a relative bargain.As we move deeper into this project, with new and added challenges, instead of trying to find ways of charging excessively, they have been reasonable and accommodating. I am truly thankful for the authenticity of these tradesmen.James Seward has been the boots on the ground. James has been on-time, productive, and personable every time he comes. It seems that virtually any mechanical question that I pose to him, he has at least one solid solution. Kyle Thompson installed the second heating and cooling unit in my house this year. He installed one in May, and just installed the other after Thanksgiving. Kyle kept things professional. I was the client (the boss that pays the costs), and OHA, his employer, was the vendor. He was hired to do a job. From my experience, both times OHA (Kyle) delivered, and did outstanding work installing both systems. Kyle and the young man working with him were polite, respectful (manners are important to me), and they were very respectful of my home (wore boot covers, laid down tarps, and even asked permission before they entered a closed door). As dirty as their hands got, they did not get any dirt on my freshly painted walls or anything, and they cleaned up after themselves. Lastly, OHA dealt in earnest. They told me the costs, time of delivery and completion, and equipment purchased, and delivered on all three. OHA is a picture of professionalism.

They quoted me an affordable price, ordered it, kept me informed, and upon arrival returned to install it. Robert, the technician, was excellent. The install job proved more difficult than anticipated, and he identified a missing safety component and purchased it from Lowes at no cost to me. So after talking to him, I noticed he was very well educated and experienced in his work so we scheduled for that afternoon despite his busy schedule since I had an emergency, and he arrived with his crew and materials exactly on time. After only an hour and a half they finished the job well done.
