This is an add on from my last post as I needed another service from Rons team. Once again totally satisfied with the work that Kevin did at our home today. Following the city change out of our water meter, we discovered a small drip/leak at the incoming water valve that required coordination with the City for shut off/turn on, and Kevins work for replacing the valve(s). Not wanting to risk a worse leak at the before the meter shut off, I called and explained the problem and Ron and Ruth got us on the schedule as quick as possible. Kevin showed up early to begin his work, along with coordination with the city worker to do their part. Kevin was friendly, professional, and very proficient in both the repair and a couple of minor improvements needed as well. In my opinion, Cedar Rapids is fortunate to have the Valenta Plumbing Legacy alive and working in our City. I cant say enough positives about my experience with Valenta Plumbing and especially their repairman, Lance. Yesterday he repaired a hot/cold water mixing valve that weve had problems with for years.During the process of replacing the valve, he had to run to our local, small-town hardware store for some extra supplies to fashion a custom fitting due to our older-style plumbing.The custom-made gizmo he came up with did the job perfectly!Today, everything is working as it should have when our walk-in tub was installed some 13 years ago!For this recent job, my first contact was with owner, Ron Valenta via phone. He quickly set up the repair date (we live 80 miles north of their main office) and was extremely cordial and accommodating.Today I gave Ron a quick call to commend Lance on not only the great job he did but on his affable demeanor. And Ron said, Youre not the first to be impressed with Lance!I highly recommend Valenta Plumbing. You wont find a nicer (or more competent) group of people to deal with.

My wife Karen and I were very pleased with our Valenta Plumbing experience. Our 24+ year old gas hot water heater stopped working unexpectedly and we initially spoke with Ron. He was professional, offered great advice and quickly scheduled our appointment. Jeff and Jarod arrived on time, were very knowledgeable and pleasant, worked quickly, and did a great job cleaning up. In particular, Valenta was responsive to also taking care of a few additional plumbing tasks that we had simply put on hold due to the COVID pandemic. We took advantage of having Jeff and Jarod on site and they repaired a leaky bathroom faucet and installed a new toilet. We highly recommend Valenta and will without a doubt be a returning customer if needed.

I called Valenta after experiencing a frozen pipe that split and leaked quite a bit of water into our downstairs when we turned on the outdoor faucet for the first time since winter. Dalton was at our house in about an hour. He was courteous and polite, and really did a great job. The outdoor faucet was replaced, a new shut off valve was installed to help with winterizing - all in less than an hour! Thanks, Dalton!

After discussing with the representative from Valenta the various options available for replacing our hot water heater, we felt a tankless heater was our best option, The installer arrived the next morning and was prompt, courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. He installed the unit and explained all about the operation and maintenance required in a very understandable and thorough manner. He contacted us the next day to make sure everything was working correctly and that we were satisfied, I would definitely recommend Valenta plumbing and their installer.

I am so happy with my decision to have Valenta come to my home. Not only were they fast to get to my house but their price was also fantastic. Speed and price are great when dealing with service issues, but the absolute best part of the entire experience was the plumber Kevin. I had tried to do the repairs myself first and had them almost complete but due to a lack of experience wasnt quite able to finalize everything. Kevin was insanely knowledgeable and incredibly patient with me and explained everything he was doing while I looked over his shoulder like a curious 4yr old. Not only did he complete the job I wasnt able to, he was also able to repair a leaking shower downstairs for me on his way out of the house in a matter of minutes. That was a 2nd job that would have taken me hours that I hadnt even planned to tackle that day at all. Valenta will be my only call for any work from here on out & I will request Kevin every time. However, from my experiences calling them to book the appointment & pay my bill it seems that all of their employees are as well trained and knowledgeable as he is. I called for a service appointment on Monday morning. They were able to fit us into a busy schedule that morning to help us out. The water heater ended up needing to be replaced, so I appreciated that they were able to help us right away. They did an excellent job installing the new water heater and you would have never known they were there. The area was totally clean when they left. I highly recommend Valenta Plumbing and Heating. They were responsive, friendly and made sure everything was in great shape before leaving.

Hands down the best service my family and I have had for any repair we have needed for our house, period! Valenta Plumbing will be the first word out of my mouth whenever someone asks about needing a plumber. The service tech that came out to our house was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and beyond helpful. He explained the problem, how to fix it in the future, and instead of replacing parts and up charging me for new ones he figured out a way to repair rather than replace in order to save me money. When choosing a plumbing company to repair or replace anything in your house give Valenta a call, you wont regret it.

Great service! I recently moved to a new home and was running out of hot water. I had Valenta install a mixing valve on my existing water heater which fixed the issue. I also had them install an expansion chamber to take stress off my water heater.I called for a quote and they had the parts in stock and were able to install them the same day. The quote was very reasonable and the work performed exceeded my expectations. The plumber cleaned up after he was done working and took the time to show us how to set the various output temperatures of the valve.I would definitely recommend Valenta to anyone in need of a plumber.

What a great experience! Received service in two days to replace the kitchen faucet and lavatory drain. The plumber, Jim Vaverka, was right on time and was very effective and efficient. I have used Valenta for several plumbing calls and have been happy with all of them. Most recently Lance came to our house to fix a leaky faucet and reset a toilet - admittedly not the most difficult jobs a plumber will face. But Lance went above and beyond by helping fix a DIY mistake of mine so he could finish his job properly. He didnt have to, but I really appreciate that he did. Great service and pricing from bid to execution. We had a major plumbing issue: corroded cast iron pipes under our cement floor in basement. Our upstairs kitchen sink was un-usable. Valenta took care of everything. Kevin was awesome. He kept up informed along the way (as he busted up cement, pulled the old pipes, verified the efficacy of the remaining pipe as intact and replaced broken pipes with PVC and poured cement) He was done in one day (a helper came). They were polite, professional and tidy. So happy to have our sink back. Thank you.

I called Valenta Plumbing on the recommendation of a friend to have a hot water heater replaced. The plumber showed up on time and was very courteous and efficient. He obviously knew exactly what he was doing.While he was here I asked him to take care of several other plumbing problems that had been bothering me for some time. He was very open to tackling the additional work while he was here.This additional work included,1. Removed the kitchen sink garbage disposal and completely replaced the drain system.2. Replaced the two frozen shutoff valves under the sink.3. Replaced the faucet and sprayer on the kitchen sink. In checking the new faucet he found a low flow problem and it was repaired right away.4. Replaced the two shutoff valves for the bathroom vanity.5. Repaired the vanity faucet.6. Replaced toilet faucet and flapper, and fixed the sticky handle.They mailed me two copies of the invoice and a rebate form, already signed by them, for me to send to my gas supply company.I have been very happy with their work and would definitely recommend Valenta to anyone needing fast, efficient, and courteous service.Thanks Ron!

Our water heater was making an awful noise. We also know our galvanized plumbing was in bad shape. We called Valenta Plumbing and Ron came out quickly. He recommended a tankless water heater. Bryce installed the heater in about six hours. He suggested the maintenance on the heater would be simpler if we replaced the galvanized supply lines. We decided to have most of the galvanized pipe replaced with PEX.Bryce was very fast removing the old tank and old pipe. He installed lines and shut-offs and washing machine hook-ups. He even noticed that our bathroom sink was loose and he fixed that. He was friendly and worked with our schedule and our pets.We are very happy with the results and have already recommended Valenta and Bryce to our friends.

I highly recommend this company! After the 08 flood, Valenta was the subcontractor for my parents basement rehab. The entire basement flooded up to the ceiling. Not only did they use the most up to date plumbing techniques, including flexible piping that wont burst. They also installed a but a backstop flap from the city sewer system to the homes system (not sure of the technical name), so that if the citys system backed up, it wouldnt come into the house. I know of at least two instances that the basement stayed dry while every other house on the block flooded. I am so grateful for the money and hassle we saved because they were looking out for our needs.They are a great company, ready to take care of every plumbing need.

We were attracted to this business in part because they advertised both parts & service, so we believed they might have larger selection of parts than a service-only plumber. Contacted by phone about a problem we were having with a residential shower fixture in our RV (note: like most household plumbers, they are NOT setup to work on RVs). We were invited to bring it by & theyd take a look. Long story short: we had almost no wait, & after about a half hour of work we were on our way. Charge for time & effort spent was well worthwhile.

Cool guy who works hard and is happy to take questions from ya and clear things up. So you better be just as nice back.Yes there is a bill. Pay it. They did work for you and you agreed to it already. Had a great experience with Valenta Plumbing in Cedar Rapids, IA. I had a toilet that dated back to 1986, and after many years of replacing the guts and having the tank become loose, finally the wax seal was shot and started to leak just a bit.I contacted Valenta and by chance they had an opening that morning and came within 10 minutes of when they said theyd be there.The service tech was very professional, laid down all kinds of tarps and even took the time to clean years worth of grime on the floor when he pulled the toilet. Not a drop of water spilled. The new toilet went in and about an hour later, the new toilet was up and running.Will definitely call Valenta again!
