Homeowner Service did a great job replacing the knob and tube wiring in our older home. I was worried because some wiring was behind wood paneling that would be difficult to replace if damaged, but they did an excellent job minimizing visible damage to only a few small sections of ceiling drywall which were easily patched. They even replaced a couple lines to lights that I didnt realize were on the same old wiring for the quoted price. They are reasonably priced and do great work. Highly recommend.

John and Travis are fantastic to work with! We approached them with a laundry list of tasks for our new home and they not only addressed them all but made suggestions for better solutions along the way. Ultimately, we had them repair nearly every outlet in our home, upgrade multiple outlets to code, install multiple new outlets, and replace some outdated exterior lighting. We are more than happy with the quality of work and level of customer service.Additionally, Travis was so nice, entertaining a very curious STEM minded kid while he worked. He was so friendly and very collaborative, thinking on his feet about solutions that worked with the quirks of our home.We will be keeping Johns card on the fridge for future work :)

If youre in need of any electrical work done at your home or business in Bloomington, Indiana, you need look no further than Homeowners Services. John and his crew are highly responsive, courteous, professional, and affordable. We had a circuit breaker tripping intermittently, causing a loss of power to the garage. I called and immediately spoke with Johns wife, who was kind and professional and helped to arrange a time for him to come out. I was happy that they were able to fit us into their schedule quickly. Our problem did require a second site visit, as the intermittent problem returned a couple of days later and required a deeper investigation. Again, their response was immediate and they were able to return in an expedient manner. John and Travis worked diligently through all of the wiring, in the attic, throughout the garage, and the exterior of the house. It wasnt long before the root of the problem was discovered (involving some of the wiring done when the house was built almost 50 years ago) and repaired. John and Travis then went back through everything, tested and re-tested, and gave me a very informative and thorough explanation of what had happened, why it was causing the problem, and how it was resolved. All of that was done at their own time and expense as they did not charge me for the second visit or for the knowledge. John and Travis were also very conscientious of the current pandemic, wearing masks, keeping adequate social distance, and practicing all of the recommended safety guidelines. I felt at ease and confident both with their approach to safety and their attention to detail. Very highly recommended!

Travis and Parker is a good team. They are cute and humorous. They talked to us through the whole process and made it as simple as they can. They worked efficiently and made it nice and neat. Their price is reasonable. We definitely would recommend them.

I had some security cameras installed outside and had my living room wired for surround sound inside. John, the proprietor, was helpful and communicative. I have worked with this company for 5 years, and have used them for small and big jobs, from rewiring outdoor light posts to doing the electrical work of an entire home renovation. The first was getting the appropriate outlet installed for our outdoor hot tub, the second to repair electrical work wed had done by another company. I called Homeowner Service for some residential needs. My initial interaction with them was very positive as the person scheduling was polite and professional. I was put on the schedule. Within a few days, they called me about an opening, which I happily accepted. The team arrived on time. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. After the work was finished, an explanation was provided, which I appreciated. They left our home tidy and, most importantly, in working order! I would certainly recommend Homeowner Service.

John installed a new electrical tower and external meter box. He and his associate were friendly, thorough, and fast. He was able to answer all my questions and explain the process to me in a way that made it easy to understand. He quoted me at about half of what Duke Power told me I could expect to pay, and handled all the permitting and compliance issues that needed to be done with Duke and the county. Will definitely reach out to John again for any future electrical needs.

Homeowner Service has done several electrical installations in my house over the years, including the replacement of the main circuit breaker panel by a new and more reliable one a few years ago (big job). A few days ago, installation of a 240-volt 50-amp outlet in the garage for an electric kiln.
