To our surprise, the line was blocked again within a week. After some discussion, Barrys Emergency Plumbing returned and used a camera to thoroughly inspect the line before reapplying the hydro-jet. They left us with two proposals totaling $14,000. Upon the suggestion of a friend, we decided to seek a second opinion and thats when we met Edward. His approach was refreshingly different! Edward was extremely courteous and took the time to show us the root infiltration in our clay pipes using a camera. He suggested another round of hydro-jetting, which we agreed to. The difference was astounding - our sewer line was completely cleared. I cant recommend Barrys Emergency Plumbing enough! They proved themselves to be professional, dependable, and above all, honest. I would urge all my loved ones in Bellevue to trust Barrys Emergency Plumbing with their plumbing needs! The experience we had with them truly stands out.

The gas company showed up, spent a brief 5 to 10 minutes, then shut down our gas and left. We were left with no hot water, no heat, and no cooking facilities during a period of freezing rain. The worker didnt take the time to communicate or inspect the house properly. Our first call was to a supposed expert. He spent 4 hours, confirmed the leak with a pressure test, but found nothing else. His quote was $1500 with no guarantee of finding the leak unless we allowed him to tear into the walls and exterior. His office suggested a total re-piping of the gas lines for a quick quote of $20K. We called the gas company again and had to insist that the worker check each appliance. He spent an hour, found nothing, and left us still without gas, hot water, heat, or a functioning stove. We called several more so-called experts, who all wanted large sums of money and suggested unnecessary pressure tests. They promised advanced equipment but never delivered, and didnt seem to know how to find the leak. One even made a large hole in the exterior, found nothing, and left. They all suggested a total re-piping of the house, with estimates ranging from $8500 to $20,000. Finally, we called Rubens team, though we were understandably cautious. The receptionist was similar to the others wed spoken to, but this time we insisted on speaking to a manager, Edward. The access panel wasnt standard and didnt provide comprehensive access to the tub, leading them to believe a carpenter might be needed to enlarge it. But, they cleverly added a second panel below the original one, saving me a good chunk of change. The team was polite and their work was clean and tidy. They offered a fair price for their services. He did, however, advise us to turn off the water until the leak was fixed. Unfortunately, the home warranty company was unable to offer any other plumbers who could help, leaving us to sort it out ourselves after many fruitless calls. After five days without water and numerous unsuccessful attempts to find a plumber, we were recommended to edward from a renowned plumbing service. We contacted edward and he was able to come over later that day, once he was done with his scheduled jobs. In no time, he was able to diagnose and isolate the problem, a leak in a pipe in the foundation. He isolated the line and managed to restore water to most parts of the house within an hour. edward returned another day and provided a permanent solution, restoring water service to the entire house. Throughout this process, edward was professional, friendly, and took his time to explain the issue and his approach towards fixing it. His strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done right left a strong impression on us. He even took the initiative to contact our home warranty company, trying to get them to cover the repair costs even though he wasnt a contracted service provider with them. Hes set to return and redo the plumbing job, even though I just signed up with a different firm for a new air conditioning unit half an hour ago. He informed me that the previous plumber was already on his way out, and he sincerely apologized. I remember Josiah helping me with a minor issue over the phone two years ago, after business hours, and he didnt even charge me. This, coupled with their stellar online reviews and ratings, is why I contacted them in the first place, so I expect this appointment to go smoothly. One bad apple shouldnt tarnish the entire companys reputation. While my initial review was accurate, Ive updated my rating and would still highly recommend this plumbing service. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had a quote this morning for a new air conditioning unit to replace my broken one. Edward, the plumber, was great and very friendly. But, two hours later, I had a different plumber, Ruben, come out to give me a quote for installing my new WaterDrop reverse osmosis unit. Unfortunately, Ruben was not as professional as Edward. He told me hes been a plumber for 15 years but didnt recognize the WaterDrop brand, which is quite popular. This raised doubts about his expertise. Despite my requests for him to lower his voice due to my sensitivity to loud sounds resulting from a previous head injury, he continued to speak loudly and often interrupted me, which was quite frustrating. When I scheduled the appointment, I had specified the brand of my reverse osmosis system and requested it to be connected to a pot filler and, if possible, also the refrigerator. WaterDrop provides a diagram and parts for this purpose, but Ruben insisted it wouldnt work. I was okay with potentially reduced flow to the pot filler, especially since I purchased a specific WaterDrop pressurized mini tank for this purpose. However, Ruben kept pushing me to buy their whole house unit, which I neither needed nor could afford, especially since I had already bought the WaterDrop unit and couldnt return it. It felt like he was trying to upsell me on a more expensive unit rather than installing the one I had already bought. This experience was a bit disheartening and made me reconsider purchasing the air conditioning unit from them. However, after Josiahs prompt response and commitment to rectify the situation, I am optimistic that things will improve.
