We were delighted to work with Gervais to install a new boiler and manifold. I found their sales team to be very knowledgeable and easy to work with, and was really happy about the product and labor warranties that came with our purchase. Their dispatch team was easy to reach, professional and kept in very good communication with me along the way. The install team (led by Patrick) did an amazing job, clearly taking pride in the high quality of their workmanship. They were communicative, respectful of our home, and kept to the schedule. I was a repeat customer, having worked with Tim S. (plumbing manager), who had expert knowledge and good suggestions for my project. Was highly pleased with the responsiveness and service provided by Gervais. Our heater was putting out cold air in the middle of a cold streak in December. Gervais sent someone out to us very quickly. Chris, our serviceman, was extremely communicative and quickly diagnosed the issue and provided a clear estimate and explanation for the repair. Quote was reasonable and clear communication was present throughout. Chris completed the repair with thoroughness and skill. Gervais did a full replacement of our gas furnace and air con condenser located in a very challenging attic area in a very old house in Brookline. The team truly dedicated themselves to do an excellent job throughout the process. I was impressed with how professional and polite the team was - for example they wear boot covers over their footwear every time they are in the house. I saw how careful, thoughtful and dedicated they are even on a very challenging replacement job, getting extra people on their team to help. I was kept informed daily with detailed explanation and even photos. Everyday they ensured the work area is left clean and tidy, since they knew they were working close to the kids bedroom. I definitely highly recommend them.

He and his assistant promptly fixed the problem while explaining each step to me. I found Rob to be professional, pleasant and skilled during this job. I searched for a provider to install a replacement gas furnace, received several quotes. I really did my due-diligence, looking closely at the products, pricing, warranty and the all-important customer reviews. We grew wary of firms trying to up-sell, offering to do much more than what was needed. One even sat at my dining table insisting that we commit immediately in order to get a $3000 price reduction.Gervais stood out as providing outstanding quality and value, quoted exactly what I asked for and wasnt pushy or deceitful. I gave them the go-ahead, and we are not disappointed! The workmanship is excellent, the product they provided is well suited to our home, and they were extremely responsive when a minor (but important) problem arose -- a condensate hose had become disconnected.This is a well run firm, one that I wouldnt hesitate to recommend.July 2024 update -- Yet another great job by Gervais -- on time, well done and the right price. Our old water heater decided to leak, spraying water onto the floor. This happened just as we were leaving for a week-long trip. Luckily I found it in time to shut off the water source, preventing further damage. During our week away, our daughter worked with Gervais to install a brand new heater, so when we arrived home all we had to deal with was a little bit of soaked carpet.The job was professionally done, quickly and at a price we could afford. This is NOT our first time with Gervais; about a year ago they replaced our furnace. Both jobs were of outstanding quality, and were quite easy (for us!).I enthusiastically recommend Gervais, we will certainly be back with them should the need arise.

We had to have our gas shut off due to multiple leaks in the pipes from our meter to our boiler. We called Gervais and they were able to get a plumber, Chris, out to us the next day. Chris was able to quickly give us a realistic timetable on the repair, offered several options at different price points, and gave his honest opinion about the best path forward. After Chris discovered some evidence of potential DIYd gas piping (why would someone do that?!) we agreed that the best move was to totally replace about 20 feet of piping. That was Friday afternoon; Monday morning Chris was in our basement working to get us our heat back and finished the job Monday afternoon. He and Gervais handled all the permits and the inspector. Today, 3 business days after calling Gervais, our heat is back on. Wed highly recommend Gervais (especially Chris!) for this type of work again

I had my kitchen faucet replaced by Rob and Jacob who called to let me know they were on the way and arrived at the time they promised. They explained in detail the process of installing the new faucet. Once the faucet was installed Rob showed me how Use the aerator key AND told me about water leak alarms that are helpful in warning if a small leak is present . The work area was left clean . I ‘d recommend Rob and Jacob for any plumbing needs you may have .Oh… and my dog recommends them too !!

This is our first year in our new home and unfortunately we’ve had a lot of issues with our HVAC. We’ve been dealing with problems since we moved in May. We first called another company Heritage thinking we’d be in good hands but after dealing with problem after problem we called Gervais Mechanical Services. It took a bit to figure out what was wrong but their technicians came back quickly when issues seemed to be persistent and I wasn’t charged for the call back. Fortunately they didn’t give up! Matthew Brissette found the wiring for the zones were incorrect and reworked the wiring and made it into 3 zones as it was supposed to be and Eric Delgado came back twice for two recalls spending countless hours trying to figure out what was actually going wrong with the system. Together Eric and Matthew conferred and figured out that it was the main central board that was not working. Finally an answer that was fixed Today!! I have nothing to say but good things about the technicians that came to our home to fix our HVAC and the company is great and highly recommended. Within an hour of calling late on a Friday afternoon, Robert came to our house and knew exactly what the problem was. He was super knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. Just wanted to say thank you to this company for restoring my ac/ cooling system when the thermostat crash out of nowhere. I just moved into a new house and closed few day ago and the thermostat stopped working and the house turned into an oven.. luckily The house was under warranty with this company and they came to trouble shoot the problem.. The electrician that came in here was a very nice young man, friendly and very knowledgeable on his field and got the trouble under control in no time. I’m staying with my elderly in-laws when their AC unit went on the hottest day of the year, and after calling about 10 AC repair companies, they were the ONLY AC repair company who would come out at 10PM to fix it. We could not turn the AC off or wait till the next day to get it fixed because my mother-in-law has respiratory problems and had to have the AC. Additionally, the technician (Ben) who responded was prompt and exceptionally polite and also knowledgeable. He had the problem diagnosed and fixed in an hour. We were so happy with the response and service my in-laws will be switching their maintenance contract to Gervais and also obtaining any other AC and Heating needs from Gervais!!!

Our experience was incredible with Gervais. We asked for a quote online and within a few hours someone has called us to schedule an inspection that would be able to give us a quote that weekend. Then we accepted the quote and the with was scheduled for the following week. It was a super fast process, communication was fantastic, and the techs were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We had been having an issue with our heat pump and the company that installed it wouldnt respond to emails. We needed to update all our duct work, but after over a year of being ignored by the installing company we called Gervais and in less then two weeks the work was done, and they even fixed the issue with our heat pump which ended up being an install issue by the other company. Couldnt be happier with our experience!

We recently called for emergency service for a furnace that wouldn’t kick on. After calling 10 companies for emergency service, 4 called back, all of which turned us away because we were not existing customers. I received a call from a technician within an hour of calling Gervais, and from that point on a technician arrived within the hour to repair our furnace. Gideon was an excellent technician. He took the time to speak to us about what the issue was, give us options for repair, whether we wait until the following day or repair immediately. We decided to have the repairs done right away. Gideon was very knowledgeable, professional, and got our system up and running within 2 hours. For a 20+ year old furnace he was able to replace several components and get the furnace in good shape at a very reasonable cost. All parts he had at the ready for service, and was efficient. Gervais was a pleasure to work with, and has gained us as a customer for all our future needs. The frustration of calling that many companies and being refused service because we were not existing customers…it was refreshing to finally call Gervais and speak and enact with such a prompt and efficient staff. Thank you for keeping us warm Gervais! We are now new & loyal customers!

Today, it was 3 degrees outside and it was 68 degrees inside when I started my day. After back to back meetings from 7am to 3pm, I realized how cold I was and that, yes, somehow the heat had stopped. By then it was 54 degrees in the house.I have steam radiators in every room and a Dunkirk Steam Boiler. I checked the water level on the boiler to see if the low level cutoff was triggered. I went to the fuse box and turned power off and on to the boiler. I checked my thermostat and it had power. I checked YouTube videos. I couldnt figure out why the boiler wasnt sending steam throughout the house.When I called Gervais, who I have used on a regular basis for a few years now, they reluctantly told me they couldnt send anyone out right away - freezing cold temps with lots of other calls coming in, short-staffed maybe because of COVID - who knows? They said to call back after 4:15 when Austin, a technician, would be manning the phones and maybe he could help troubleshoot.I did just that and within 5 minutes over Facetime, Austin determined I had a loose connection with my thermostat. As soon as I tightened the wires, BOOM, ignition and steam was circulating once again.Gervais customer service and technical expertise is superb! I couldnt be happier. I highly recommend them.

What I requested for service was a kitchen sink clog. Due to poor pipe configuration and improper materials used by a different plumber roughly a year ago, this job turned out more extensive than just a clogged line. This was much appreciated since I wouldn’t have been able to use the kitchen sink until the faucet was replaced. I’d use Gervais Mechanical again without hesitation.

We ran into a few issues during the project, quickly addressed by Leroy, the QA Manager. He not only listened to our questions and concerns, he put our minds at ease, reiterating that the only thing that mattered was our satisfaction with the project. He worked with the crew to adjust the original plan to make sure the system not only functioned properly, but also worked with the aesthetics of the house. Everyone was great about adjusting as needed to make sure we were happy. I also want to call out the electricians on the job...they walked through options with us, along with pros and cons of each, and again, made sure we were happy with the final results.

Our water tank was leaking and we called Gervais and they scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Matt diagnosed the issue and we were able to schedule an appointment to have our tank replaced. Ben and Sonny replaced the tank and answered questions I had. From our initial phone call on Tuesday to the completion of the job Friday morning everyone was very friendly and helpful. The technicians arrived on time and did a great job. Recently had two gas boilers serviced. Prior to servicing both had been entering lock-out/latch-up frequently. Pricing was very reasonable, technician arrived promptly at the scheduled service time and completed the work in a timely manner. Following the service he explained what had been done and any issues/concerns to look out for in the future. Both of the boilers were cleaned inside and out and no mess was left following service. Have not had any issues with lock-out/latch-up since the service was performed.

No one wants a heating problem in January. Vervains offered me an appointment the next afternoon which I took. They then called me back an hour later and said they could come first thing in the AM. They diagnosed the problem immediately. Although they had to replace 3 different parts they had them all in the van and had the system fully functional again within 2 hours. Great service, great quality and I would call them first for any future heating issues.
