I went with PV for a plumbing job as they have done awesome work for repairing my HVAC. Shelby was awesome in our intial conversation for the plumbing issue. Hunter and Philip did a great job repairing the leak that flooded our basement. Very nice gentlemen. They explained the process throughly. PV sent them back out to fix another leak that was close to the repairs that they have previously completed and they were kind enough to do it without extra charges. I would recommend them anytime for both HVAC and Pumbing.

PV is a company that I highly recommend. My furnace died on a Sunday, they sent a technician out. He reported that the motor went out on the 20+ yr furnace. I wanted replacement not repair. The technician was able to show me multiple options including replacing and repair. He also scheduled for James to come out to take measurements. I decided to replace the entire system including the HVAC. They offer financing. They send pictures of technicians who are coming to your home. Service fee was 99 which is average. I’m happy with my system and the quality service I received from all the technicians and the installation team was great.

Wow. Just wow. Incredible and timely service. The scheduling process was seamless and the technician was out there diagnosing the system same day. We got a quick and concise review of the repair needed and hit it scheduled asap. Without any prompting they called to let me know the repair would be happening as scheduled. I will continue to use PV for all my HVAC and plumbing needs. Highly recommend!

Had these guys on a maintenance (priority?) plan for a few years now, but just recently had an AC outage we needed their help on. Really couldnt have asked for a better experience from an HVAC company;-Same day visit..-.. with stopgap solution up before he left-Permanent solution complete within ~3 days-Minimum of mess and plenty of care taken with the drywall-Happy to show and explain all the work done, not pushy in the leastThe tech we got, Dakota, was fantastic and chill through the whole experience, and really turned a headache into a minor chore.Overall, a hearty recommendation for PV, well definitely continue doing business with them in the future!

PV staff arrived on time and started working without delay. The project was ti install a HEPA filtration unit as well as new filter housings for the HVAC system. They were polite and friendly, answered my questions and did not take offense about my watching the installation to learn more about it. They also made some adjustments to the layout to help me with future filter changes and avoiding blocking the room with the ducts. They also arranged to get me finer filter elements to help with my wifes allergies. The system works very well, is a very neat installation and I was very happy with my interactions with the PV guys. I recommend PV to anyone needing repairs or new HVAC systems.

Last week I called PV for a quick quote after a technician confirmed my 22 year old ac system needed to be replaced. The proposal Mr. Cory gave was thorough, clear & detailed. I was very impressed by the same day availability and the pricing beat my first quote from another company. I confirmed my appointment for the following day. Mr. Mitchell & Mr. Neal arrived early and ready to get to work. They were kind and communicated their plan clearly. I was able to work from home while they replaced my system, and within a couple hours they were doing tests and confirming all was working correctly. I am so grateful for the professionalism and convenience of being able to text with any follow up questions and concerns. I highly recommend PV and look forward to a cool summer ahead!

I had a full system replacement done by PV, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Given how expensive a full system can be, I was very reassured by their design process, knowing that they were taking the time to think through what equipment/setup would be optimal for my environment. This adds some cost, but I think this is a situation where you get what you pay for. There were a few hiccups post install, and PV was very quick to respond and resolve them. This really gives me the confidence to know that they will keep my system running optimally for years to come, and I can’t recommend them enough. Everyone I worked with was wonderful. It’s usually tough having contractors in your home for a few days, but not with these guys: they were conscientious, respectful and personable. If you have HVAC issues, call PV.

This company is different. They take their time to do it right. Their ad grabbed my attention when it said they use a building science based approach to HVAC which means they will test to see what size unit your home needs and calculate the proper duct requirements and air flow and install the optimal system for efficiency and comfort. 90% of companies replace what you have with the same size unit which can lead to wasted energy or inconsistent temps and humidity in your home. I’ve been impressed with PV so far both James and Jeff who have been to my house were super knowledgeable and took pride in their work. That’s the value im looking for in a HVAC company. Very happy so far. I’ll update once the job is complete.

Im writing a review 3 months after my Trane system was installed. Im pretty happy with its performance. It took two weeks to install a complete hvac overhaul for our top floor due to the age of my system and attic conditions, but the PV team made sure everything worked correctly. The price was also fair for the work. (evaporator coil, new ductwork, plenum , 4 ton AC Unit).Update: I had to call a technician after a lawn guy cut the ac wire behind our downstairs unit with a weed whacker. Jacob C. was able to fix the problem quickly and even pointed out mistakes another ac contractor made. I feel comfortable doing business with them in the future.

I am normally not one who writes reviews, but in the case of PV, I am making an exception. My experience started with PV because I was interested in having a home energy audit performed on my house – and PV was one of the few companies that even offers this service in my area. A few days after the audit, I received a detailed report of PV’s findings, which also included recommendations for what I myself could do and several options for improvement they could offer.After being walked through those options in more detail, I opted to move forward with the work and Matt and his team took excellent care of me, answered all of my questions, and addressed any concerns that I had. The team arrived to my home when they said they would, did a very thorough job, and cleaned up behind themselves.That said, the folks at PV are pleasant to work with, very knowledgeable, very responsive when you have questions, and all and all, I was very satisfied with the work done. I have been using PV Heating and Air for sometime. PV installed my new water heater which is located outside in the breeze way of my condo. They did a fantastic job. I called today to see if they could come out and insulate my water heater and copper pipes. The lady I spoke with said they could send someone out but did not know if they would have the nessary supplies. I stated PV installed the water heater and I wanted it insulated in 1 day. She stated they could not guarentee that. I was so frustraded, I said never mind and that I would call somoeone else that could guarentee 1 day service. PV has the model etc. Im very disappointed. Any comnment PV?Followup.PV called me and the problem has been resoled. I want to thank PV Heating and Air for their outstanding Customer Service.

Date 9/19/24The PV’ Plumbing team just did a fairly large job at our designer, custom home. Justin Medlin was the lead plumber. He and his team were exceptional. We have dealt with hundreds of HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical service technicians and Justin may be the best weve ever met! He possesses the rare combination of great technical skills and top notch customer service. Two water heaters and a new PRV were installed extremely efficiently and they thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend PV Heating , Cooling & Plumbing and Justin specifically. Thanks for doing such a great job!

Update: I was personally contacted by the owner. He and his staff immediately set an appointment up to come recheck the unit. They found the issues and were able to fix it. They even came back to double check it was corrected. They also credited me the $300 I paid previously to the plumber. I really appreciate that they made it correct and also called me back to make sure everything was still good after everything.I called PV HVAC & Plumbing when my condo reached 79F despite having it set between 70-72. I have an infant so I’m very mindful of the temperature. PV installed a brand new AC unit in September so I expected it to be able to cool appropriately especially when you pay $11k+ for a new unit. The AC tech came in and said it is working correctly, that units in condos are only meant to cool to 75 and said I should replace my windows which were upgraded 5 years ago with the previous owners. I mentioned that the previous unit and every apartment/condo I have ever lived in had never had a problem cooling to 68F. He had no response except that it is working appropriately. Almost every time I have had PV out for a repair something has gone wrong. With both this brand new unit and my previous $1500 repair they had faulty parts (thermostatic mixing valves) where I then had to wait longer for it to get fixed. Also when I had PV out to check on my AC unit before I replaced it there tech said it was a plumbing issue and not an AC issue. I called out plumbers paid them 300 to have them tell me it wasn’t a plumbing issue. It turned out to be a cracked drain pan on my AC. So I wasted even more money than I had to. I only called them bc I knew it was under warranty.

I cannot recommend PV highly enough. If I could give them 10 stars I would. We were having intermittent issues with our system during the peak of this heat wave. We called some of the big name companies, and turns out they are not so reliable after all. PV came out the next day. The tech who came, Leo, was incredible. He was knowledgeable, friendly and clearly explained everything he was doing and how it would benefit our system. He even offered a couple solutions to help keep our upstairs cooler that I could do myself. We received a quote the next day to replace our thermostat, which they did the research to find out it was still under warranty. If you need help staying cool in this insufferable heat, call PV.

Prior to scheduling with PV, we had consultations with 3 other AC companies that 1) couldnt give us a definitive answer as to what was wrong with our AC and 2) were quoting outrages prices for potential repair. Not a problem with PV. Jacob, our PV technician, was super thorough and told us exactly what needed to be repaired. And at a fabulous price (signing up for their maintenance plan saves a lot of money!). Jacob was also right-on-time, so friendly, and so patient in answering all of our questions. The only heating/cooling company well be using moving forward.

Its been a little over a year since we had a huge debacle with our house. We had to have mold remediation done and replace a bunch of stuff. During all of that our AC decided to die on us.We contacted about 5 people to come look at our place and give us quotes. Each person quoted something much different. Whether it was a bigger unit, smaller unit, or just massive swings in cost. Most would walk in and throw the numbers out within less than 10mins. Not PV.PV, I believe it was Jason, came in and looked at our system. He really examined how poorly our system was designed and genuinely wanted to improve our efficiency. There was a level of professionalism with them we hadnt seen in any of the others (and we called mostly top rated businesses) The cost was a little more than we were wanting to spend though so we had to talk about it for a couple of days.After talking it over we decided it would make sense to spend a little more to get the best quality work we could get. Since we were having mold remediation done during all of this we needed to have our old system removed before they could do their job. Which meant getting the AC and water heater installed in 2 parts.PV was beyond patient with us throughout this process. They showed up when they said they would, removed the old units, keeping us on schedule for everything else.During this process they also found we had extremely poor ducts...like really bad. We literally had exposed fiberglass throughout our condo. We were already at the top of our budget so this was a kick in the gonads. After seeing it and realizing just how bad it was we decided to get all the ducts in our condo replaced by them. (If we were upstairs and the AC was on it felt like a trickle coming from the vents)PV gave us a portable AC unit while they were in the process of installing everything, extremely thankful. The guys that did the install were very professional and really nice. They worked extremely hard and you could tell they didnt cut corners which we appreciated.All in all I would HIGHLY recommend PV heating and Air if youre looking for a quality system and exceptional service. They will go above and beyond to get your house safe and comfortable. After having them do everything we practically have a waterfall of air at each vent, its wonderful.The only note I have is I found a few energy drink cans lying around in our attic after everything was finished. But if thats the only downside I would gladly take it haha. They definitely have a customer for life.

I was a first time homeowner and did not know much about the importance of routine maintenance to get the most out of my system. I signed up for the monthly maintenance service plan. If thought I moved for a few years, based on that experience, I knew I found a company for life. Fast forward to a week ago, it was time to replace my two systems (main level and upstairs) after a renter left my home and I returned. Based on past experience, I did not bother searching for another company. I bypassed all the searching and contacted PV.The sales person met me at my home on time, did a walk-through of my home (inside and out) and provided me with a few options. He reviewed the options with me, giving me pros and cons of each without pressuring me in either direction. He educated me about upcoming industry changes that help me make a more informed decision.The installation was scheduled and took place over 2 days. The technicians that completed the installation were on time, professional and prompt . They kept me informed on the status as I teleworked. A few days after completion, PV returned to my home based on my request and determined that I could get more efficiency and performance from my system by addressing a ductwork issue caused by pests that got into my attic. They repaired some of the ductwork and replaced my thermostat, free of charge.Overall, I had a stellar experience with each PV employee I interacted with by phone and in person. I received the same service recently that I came to know many years so. Customer satisfaction and education are top priorities for PV. I highly recommend PV to anyone needing service or considering a new system for their home. Put them on your short list or just bypass the competitors entirely!

I had to replace my upstairs heat pump July 2022, as my old system was 14 years old and completely dead. Everything about PV from sales (ask for James) to installation (Dustin, Neal & Christian) to office phone person (Jai) was top notch. I got five quotes and spent two weeks researching products and companies, but in the end there was no other choice but PV. Having a salesperson (James) who was previously a technician is invaluable to understanding the options and choosing the right system. Also PV does two things others dont - 1) a load analysis up front to make sure youre getting the correct size (mine was actually too large, a 3.5 ton when a 3 was plenty big enough as the analysis was for 2.7) and 2) a quality check of the installers work after everything is up and running.My neighbor was about to get a new unit also and had already researched and decided, but when she heard about my experience, she met with James and went with PV also.They arent the cheapest in price, but they definitely offer the most value for your money because the service is so good and they do everything the right way.

The overhaul included removal of old duct, plenum, insulation, complete HVAC unit replacement and new cellulose insulation and new water heater. After review of different suppliers and multiple rounds of discussion we decided for PV Heating and Air.Our decision was not made on cost, we felt comfortable with Jason and his teams level of knowledge and professional methodology to explaining the system and different steps for executing the job. As an engineer myself, I could related to the study perform by PV to size the system and the value of such. The equipment selected (Trane) and the approach to maximizing the efficiency of the new system was first class. We actually ended with a lower tonnage unit than the original GE system (42+ years old)The execution of the job went extremely well, PVs employees were timely, very professional and courteous. Impressed. I have had varying experiences with HVAC companies, mostly not that great. From the big names that slap a do not use sticker on your unit as a last ditch sales tactic to the small guy who just wants to pump freon into it. PV is different. I’m writing today to report a truly exceptional experience doing a complete HVAC system replacement with the PV HVAC team this past month. PV remains my go-to for all things HVAC and plumbing: their team is organized and highly professional; their workmanship is top-notch; and they treat quantitative data and building science fundamentals as the cornerstones of what they do, which - in my experience - has led to systems that work right the first time.We first worked with PV back in 2020 when we installed a (sorely needed) whole-house dehumidifier in our 1920’s Decatur Craftsman. I’m a mechanical engineer, and my interest was initially caught by an article the owner, Jason Peavy, had written describing how PV installs whole-home dehumidifiers differently, and why it’s better. The dehumidifier worked fantastically, and we wound up coming back to PV for simple projects (furnace seasonal checkups) and more complex jobs (water heater replacements) alike, with good results every time.So, when we decided to replace our house’s 20-year-old AC and gas furnace earlier this year, PV was our first choice. We had discussed this project with Jason a number of times over the previous years in addition to quoting it out with other contractors, and we knew that we were getting into a complex (and expensive) project. We’d have to replace both the furnace and the air conditioner, and to maximize the performance of the system (and improve the usability of our basement) we’d want to replace all of our ducting at the same time. Furthermore, we knew we wanted to design the system to accommodate a future planned interior remodel — but still keep our house comfortable today pre-remodel! PV is by no means the cheapest option - something they will tell you themselves - but we felt that for a project of this magnitude and complexity, they were the right choice.Right from the beginning, the PV team did not disappoint. Cory Auld and Matt Maiden, who coordinated our sale and led our system design respectively, didn’t even blink at the unusual “future-proofing” design request: leveraging data collected during a whole-home energy assessment (which I cannot recommend highly enough), Matt put together a design for the future layout of our house, and then showed how we’d still be able to reach acceptable temperature control performance in our current state with fewer rooms + supply & return ducts. They were both incredibly patient with my many requests for data & explanation of their design decisions, and I came away from the design process confident in what we were building. Cory also did a great job helping us get the price into an achievable range for our project. We knew we wanted to maximize the efficiency of our HVAC system, and were ultimately able to select a top-of-the-line Carrier Infinity 24 heat pump-based system thanks to Cory’s help and guidance around available tax credits & incentive programs.Installation was similarly impressive. Our install team - Eric Black, Michael Conkle, and Alex McDowell - completed the install in essentially 5 days, and with minimal disruption in our house despite the scope of the project. We particularly appreciated Eric’s conscientiousness about maximizing usable space in our basement, and craftsmanship in making it happen. There are only a handful of places in our basement where I can stand up fully, which I use as workshop space: Eric was extremely careful to route ducting around these locations while not compromising the overall performance of the system, and regularly consulted with me about layout decisions. The install team was patient, worked seamlessly with our other contractors, and most importantly, were always willing to chat with our two-year-old when he arrived home from daycare and wanted to see what “Mr. Eric” and the others were doing in the basement. Finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge Sam Roper, the install coordinator at PV. She handled our last-minute schedule changes and special requests alike seamlessly - she is the reason this project got done as quickly as it did!

It showed a lot of integrity, and I will continue to be a loyal customer.We’ve used this company for a little over a year. We had a maintenance appointment scheduled for next week, but then had an emergency issue last night, which was a Friday. I submitted an appointment request online around 10:30pm, and they called me at 8:01am, one minute after they opened. I was very relieved with the response time, especially on 12 hours notice on a Saturday in July. Joseph was really nice and patient with me in explaining everything that was going on. They also texted me a photo of the technician ahead of time, along with a live tracker to see exactly when he’d be here. Very pleased.

If you have a heating and air problem, PV is the best. They installed a new furnace when mine was about to die and the temperature was going to drop to 22. And they did it from start (consultation Sunday) to completion (Monday)in the most professional manner I could imagine. They have since conducted seasonal tune-ups and installed a vent in a door to induce better circulation.Recently a unit stopped working during a long stretch of hot weather and when I called they came next morning and found source of problem. David, Joe and Jason are the best at what they do heating and air. My wife noticed the AC was not working on a Friday afternoon Memorial day weekend. I contacted PV Heating and Air that afternoon they had a repairman show up on Saturday first thing in the morning unfortunately, with bad news I had to replace the AC and handler but that didn’t stop the guys. They had the salesman at my house later in the afternoon worked up my price on replacing the system and they gave me a great price on doing so I felt very confident with them. I did not call anyone else to look, they had me scheduled for a load calculation Tuesday morning when they were back after the Memorial day holiday he was there at 8 AM got the load calculation and they were installing my new system by 10 AM by 5 o’clock had everything replaced and working again I have worked with a lot of companies and they exceeded all expectations. I don’t know many other companies that would’ve had everything done like they did as quickly as they did. Our heat stopped working on New Years Eve on a Sunday. I texted the owner, and he got the office to contact us right away. They had a technician out within a couple of hours. This was a 1 1/2 year old Carrier system that they had installed. The technician, Mike Sharpe, found the problem with the drain pipe that had triggered the system to shut down. He fixed it right away.
