These people are first rate! I have dealt with iron in my water for over 30 years and been through several systems and companies, but these folks know their stuff. They test the water and tell you exactly what is going on and then make recommendations and/or suggestions. Not only that but they squeezed me in to their overloaded schedule during the Asheville water crisis! I am VERY IMPRESSED. (And grateful!)

We had an old neutralizer system that had failed and a high mineral content in our well water that needed to be addressed. I always try to use local small businesses and Mountain Water Systems was the right call. Ive had a well water treatment system in a previous home so I have some basic knowledge. The other two companies I had contacted for quotes just didnt seem to have the right answers when pressed on their recommendations and one tried to sell me something I knew I didnt need. My interaction with Geneva at the beginning of the process was spot on as she answered all my questions and put up with my follow up phone calls for more information. The installation went smoothly and we now have great water (no more fuzzy ice or white residue left in our glassware). To top it off, they had the best price of the 3 quotes we got and their equipment (Clack) is higher rated than their competitors. Definitely a professional, well run company.

This review is LONG overdue.I’ve been working with Mountain Water for over a 1 1/2 years. I’ve had several well issues along the way that have impacted the performance of the filters. Mountain Water was patient, understanding, provided great troubleshooting assistance. The team of Geneva, Michael, and John are all rock stars and are always available for after sale support and guidance. They have the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Just hitting 65 years old last month, Mountain Water is #1 in customer service and support of all the companies I’ve ever worked with. This is an amazing company. They are a model of how customers should be treated during and after the sale.

The professionalism of the people in this company is impressive. Ms. G was our first contact via phone. She helped us prepare for a visit. At the office, she was knowledgeable and informative. Her goal was to make sure that we got the system we needed specific to our home. Thats the same goal we had. On the day of install, the guys went right to work. Their work was neatly done. They explained the system functions and cleaned up everywhere they had been before they left. They left us with a system info package in a folder all prepared by Ms. G Everyone was personable and friendly. We are happy customers.

I have had a filter system on my well water which was installed by Ed Dillard many years ago. When he retired I contacted mountain water systems and the gentleman that owned it was great. I thought I was blessed to have a good person take over in Eds place. Then a few years later a young man shows up and informs me that he and a friend had purchased the business. I was concerned at first but he was so knowledgeable and patient explaining how everything workrd that again I was happy. I have been a happy customer for several years and will continue to use them for my water needs. I strongly recommend this company for their service and their value. When we moved into our home in Weaverville to water was so full of iron that our clothes and appliances were being ruined. We also had an issue with the pipes on our well that drained the well and caused more damage in the house. The Mountain Water Systems folks came in and fixed it all and our water is now excellent. These are great people to deal with and Michael and Geneva have been particularly great. I would highly recommend them to everyone who needs good water in their home. They are trustworthy and fair in everything they do.

My husband and I bought our first home back in September 2019 and knew we were going to have to replace the very old and outdated filtration system that was currently in the home. Our water was coming out a brownish red and smelling very rusty. And as we were renovating and putting new appliances in the kitchen and replacing old showers and toilets we did not want to risk staining everything. I researched many different companies but after all of the great reviews I read about Mountain Water Systems, I decided to give them a try and I am very happy I did. They were everything that everyone was saying about them. Very knowledgeable, honest and professional! Customer satisfaction is priority for this company. Our water had some issues that we were worried about but it wasnt anything that they couldnt fix. We ended up with a softener, neutralizer and iron filtration system that we couldnt be happier with. As we were very new to something like this, everything was explained in detail and all of our questions were answered. They strive to make their customers happy. To me, that is very important. I would very highly recommend that you give Mountain Water Systems a call if you are in need of a water filtration system. We have had our system now for a little over 2 months and its crystal clear! They have made my husband and I VERY happy!

We dealt with another local installer about five years ago on a similar system for a family property and while the result was adequate, Mountain Water Systems was by far a better choice in both professional advice and professional installation. Highly recommended.

My husband and I are long time customers of Mountain Water Systems. We purchased a water softener from them 6 years ago. That took care of the water hardness. We recently noticed a bluish tinge in the water. We went to the office for the free water testing, and sure enough the well water had changed, and we now had a ph balance issue. The level was very low and Geneva recommended a Neutralizer. The water tech guys came a few weeks later and installed it. They were very professional in the install and explained everything to us. No more bluish water!! We highly recommend Mountain Water System.

I just have to say I am blown away with the level of honesty, generosity and professionalism of this company! I needed a neutralizer and softener put into my new house, and as a single parent needed to be able to manage the cost so I was really happy to hear that they offered an in-house payment plan, they were able to provide the service and install at a very reasonable price in comparison to the other places I had shopped around with. From the point of sale to the actual install with the technicians, everyone was great at explaining the purpose of all of the components that were installed and they didnt use fear tactics to try and oversell anything that was not absolutely necessary in resolving my issue.

We had a whole home filtration system installed last year. We were shocked at just how much the quality of our water greatly improved. Our clothes were cleaner, shower and tub didnt have the sediment issues and calcium deposits like before. Recently, we noticed an increase in the sulfur smell. I called Mountain Water Systems and they addressed the issue immediately. Like all businesses, you have to make money to stay afloat, but they are more interested in getting the customer what they need to correct the issue. The customer service is unmatched and the installers are knowledgeable and very friendly. Do yourself a big favor and contact Mountain Water Systems for your filtration needs.

Excellent!! I bought a house that was previously using a BIRM filter to filter the Iron from my well. I went to the store in Weaverville with pictures and a water sample and Geneva took all the time I needed to explain to me more about the filter I was currently using and the different types that were available, outstanding customer service experience! I even consulted another popular and reputable water filtration company and decided to give my business to Mountain Water Systems. Its now been 90 days since the installation and I couldnt be happier!! The installation staff were friendly, knowledgable and efficient, great job! No more rusty stains in my laundry or on my appliances! No more nasty tasting water! Im not even using my Brita water filter anymore! As a professional in the public accounting industry, I meet face to face with small business owners daily. Often, these business owners are so profit driven, customer service simply falls to the wayside. I can say John, Michael, and Geneva are some of the most caring individuals I’ve met when it comes to providing their customers with the resources they need. My wife and I recently purchased a house with a water softener system installed. When I called Mountain Water Systems to have it serviced for the first time, it turned out our system wasn’t originally installed for hard water, but for naturally occurring inorganic compounds, something the previous owner and the realtors did not disclose. The previous owner had installed a cheap patch system not suitable of handling IOCs. John and Michael immediately provided my wife and I with multiple options that would not only mitigate our water problems, but also not destroy our wallets. Having a million questions, Geneva would always reply within the hour. After all the research they provided and the way they handled our nagging questions, there was no way we couldnt give them our business. These guys really take customer service seriously and will do whatever it takes to help their customers.

They had to extend a drain pipe away from the house. To do this some mulch and side walk stones had to be moved. They did a great job replacing the stones and making everything look good again. When my husband told me to call and talk to people about getting a filter put in the house to help with the taste and smell of the water I just started calling some places I found on the internet and I had a few to come to my house and talk to me about their systems and the pricing after I talk to a few I ended up calling Geneva back to see about them putting in what we needed because she took her time to explain ever little thing and they were cheaper then the others with the same kind of stuff other companies was trying to Sale me. Geneva had me appointment right away for them to put the system in I needed to get the check I had to pay for the system to her by the next few days in order to get a low rate I have axnity and couldnt drive there and when I call Geneva to tell her she told me not to worry she would stop by my house and pick it up on the way home from her work I felt she went out of her way to help me and after getting the system put in we are so happy we went with them they did a great job putting it in cleaned up after they were done explain ever thing to me about it and the water taste great we are Avery happy customer from the start to the end. I recently replaced a 25 year old water treatment system with a significantly upgraded system from Mountain Water Systems. My new system has a neutralizing filter, iron filter, battery back-up and bypass. The workmanship at time of installation by Michael and his crew was absolutely superb—could not have been a better experience! The team worked efficiently to remove my ancient equipment and did an outstanding job installing the new system which is better organized and more user friendly. Michael patiently explained what I needed to know about the system, answered my questions, and provided a quick reference guide for future reference. Furthermore, whenever I’ve called the office to schedule or ask questions, Geneva is always pleasant and answers my questions quickly and directly. It may take a while to get a job scheduled with Mountain Water Systems, but they are definitely worth the wait. Don’t look any further if you need a new water treatment system!

I’m extremely happy with my new water system. Right from the get go I had questions about my old system and did not know what to do. Every question was answered. I took a sample of my water to be tested by Mountain Water so they could see what we were dealing with. Then the eyes on home visit to evaluate and recommend. Everything was explained and I was given choices. I have a new filtration system, now located in my garage instead of under the house. Easy to check on. And a water softener. Installation was quick, clean and on time. The big plus for me is being able to call, which I have, and questions were answered. Highly recommend

My realtor sent me to Mountain Water Systems to get a free, quick and dirty analysis of my well water. (pH, TDS, hardness, and iron). Their prices seemed to be in line with what I could find on the Internet, so I hired them to install several filters. Had to wait almost two months for them to get to me, but it was well worth it! I was SO impressed with their professionalism and courtesy. My filter system looks and works great, and they even found and replaced a corroded valve. They took a lot of time to explain the system to me and to make sure that I knew and understood all my options. I highly recommend this company. Ten stars.

I am on a well and have a rotten egg smell coming from the taps when running the hot water. After some research, I found out its due to Sulfur, which is when I reached out to Mountain Water Systems.They did a water test and confirmed the Sulfur levels were high (while everything else was good), so they recommended a Sulfur filter tank. Throughout the entire process, they were extremely professional with great communication. The job was done in a very organized and tidy manner and the smell is gone.I dont hesitate to recommend MWS!

We had so much iron in our well water that our old Rain Soft system could no longer handle it. We had to use a faucet filter to be able to drink the water. The dishwasher tub was permanently stained and the toilets were always yellow from the iron. We bought a new filtration system to replace the old Rain Soft, and at the recommendation of the owners, we added another unit specifically for the iron. We are extremely happy. Our tap water tastes good with no extra purchase of add on filters. The installation was done very professionally. Operation of the units is automatic. I wish we had gotten these units years ago. I would highly recommend Mountain Water Systems.

I have had water filtration systems in the past and its a hit or miss. But all of them were high pressure sales. When I moved here to Asheville, I was dreading the round of calls for filtrations. But not this company. From the first phone call and in office visit to test my water, everyone was nice, informative and NO pressure at all to purchase. I almost wanted to joke if they wanted me to buy anything! I loved that they just laid the information out there for me to either use them or any other company. The crew they sent to the house was also just as kind and informative. I highly recommend them.

Listen up WNC this is the company to have come in and set you up with the proper water system. When I got divorced I tried to manage my well water, but it wasnt an easy task so I had to purchase drinking water until I bit the bullet and went with Mountain Water Systems over 7 years ago and today I am not only able to sit in a clear tub full of water with my bath bubbles (finally), but we are able to drink the water from the sink and cancel the bottled water system delivery. Thank you Jim & Steve I love you guys...

These guys are pros. Have had multiple companies install and service my water systems over the years but these guys are the best weve seen. Theyre promptand always arrive at the scheduled appointment time , which is especially important if the system is at a second home. They have engineering backgrounds so the job is done right the first time, and to all the specs, their knowledge of mountain water problems and the remedies is spot on ( theyre engineers not someone who took a weekend course on the subject) and theyre the owners of the company, so the level of personal service is unsurpassed. I would highly recommend them and without reservations

I had Mountain Water Systems put in a whole house filter system and a water softner system. My water is pure, taste wonderful and is soft. The softner only uses one bag of salt per month. My last house with another companys softner used 3 bags of salt - I also now have a great savings every months. If you have any questions about your system after they put it in they are as responsive as they can be. I would recommend only Mountain Water Systems to everyone who needs water softning and or whole house filter systems
