Great work, reliable, honest and fair. Shocked we never heard of Heinsohn, but we had a permit in hand and watched them do a great job on a very large shoreline across from us. Their quote was 40% less than another we got so we were a tad skeptical at first. The crew communicated through the entire project and did everything they said they would do and then some. We had to remove stairs and they coordinated with the person we hired to remove and put them back. The grade of stone they used are huge which we really wanted. Another person we know near us decided to use someone else and is now having issues and it doesn’t look nearly as good as ours. Likewise our community revetment isn’t as substantial as ours and is failing (it’s sliding into the water since it’s too steep and bottom layer was just placed and not smashed into the ground). See photos of the difference between ours and the community, not even close to being the same quality. I’ll sleep better knowing ours not only looks great, but will also last…..and the wife is happy (thank god). It’s obvious these guys want you to happy. Already have two neighbors that will be coming your way. Thanks to the entire crew, can’t recommend enough!👍🙏

Eric and his entire crew at Heinsohn Contracting showed nothing but professionalism in handling our project of constructing a new pier and deck as well as the demo and removal of an old pier. From start to finish, the work ethic was exceptional, as was the outstanding skill level of his crew. All concerns from us were dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction. We have only praise for Eric and his crew for a job well done and for the final results. We could not have been more pleased and will definitely recommend them to our friends and neighbors. 20 stars wouldn’t be enough. Contacted about 10 contractors, half didn’t respond, 3 said they couldn’t do it, 2 came out for a site visit, 1 laughed, and 1, Heinsohn Contracting, rolled up their sleeves and built this beauty. Calling it a challenging site would be sugarcoating it. Calling it a superb job done would be underselling it. Weathered tropical Debby without being underwater; thicker pilings and deck boards; adapted to a tough bottom configuration without blinking; and nailed the outcome. In 95+ degrees half the time. Shout out to the permit consultant Fetch Consulting as well, this team just got it done and in a friendly, face front personable manner. Appreciated the property and treated the land, water, and the in-between with respect. Add-ons were not them so don’t judge any sloppy ropes or lights, that’s on the self-installer who would recommend Heinsohn to anyone.

Eric managed the project of demolition of old and construction of a new finger pier to create two large slips. I was incredible impressed with the attention to detail of every piling to ensure perfect placement, height, plumb and aesthetic character. Eric and his crew take a lot of pride in their work and it shows in the finished result. Very easy and enjoyable to work with - they reveiwed every detail with me to ensure they were delivering exactly what I wanted. The end result is perfect - cant wait to get my boat in the new slip. Heinsohn Contracting is a first class contractor and I would strongly recommend Heinsohn for your next pier/dock construction project. Gerd and Eric are extremely competent, knowledgeable and easy to discuss the homeowners ideas with. And they also offer in house permitting from soup to nuts through Fetch Consulting Group. The entire team handled our complete project with extreme professionalism and enthusiasm. Our new dock was completed on time and at the quoted price. And to cap it off, the new copper piling caps were installed as if each one were a piece of art! I strongly recommend Heinsohn Contracting to be included in your next dock project.

We just finished a project with Heinsohn Contracting where we built a new 300 foot dock and did our shoreline in stone. We did our due diligence and spoke to several other contractors. We ultimately decided to go with Heinsohn and it was positively the best decision we could have made. They were absolute professionals and did a fantastic job. We have worked with many contractors on a lot of projects and this is a first rate company. They finished on time and within budget. I have already recommended them to my neighbors and they are all going with Heinsohn. Thank you Eric and Gerd for an outstanding job.

The review only goes up to 5 stars. Heinsohn contracting deserves 10 stars. We hired Lauren Heinsohn of Fetch LLC to obtain for us the needed permits to rebuild our pier, and Rock our Bulkhead. Eric Heinsohn and Crew did a fantastic job. The Rock along the bulkhead is a work of Art. My husband watched Donny, the crane operator, meticulously position each Rock along the bulkhead. He spent 30 minutes placing one rock just to make sure it was right.The pier resurfacing looks great.Thanks to Heinsohn we are looking forward to a summer of fun with our renewed waterfront!

They handled the entire process installation of our Pier, Pilings and Bulkhead Demolition and the installation of our new 100 Pier, Pilings and Bulkhead on schedule. Very courteous and professional, great team work. Our home is located on the Magothy River so they were up against severe weather challenges at times and still showed up every day to get the job done !

The professional and personal touch is the cornerstone of Heinsohn Contracting. They built a beautiful, high-quality, well-constructed 150 walkway over a marsh which connected to a 100 pier. Our pier project was a challenge since they had to navigate their barge through the ever changing and sometimes shallow Chesapeake water. With extraordinary care, they built over a marsh ensuring little disturbance of the vegetation. They drove the piles to our height request and built to county requirements. Eric, Gerd, and their entire crew did a fabulous job from start to finish. We would highly recommend them for your pier project large or small.
