    I found Chesapeake Electric to be extremely customer focused, with high overall quality service. They were more than willing to accomodate my schedule, and responded via phone and text in a timely manner. I had a new panel box, surge protectors, and grounding system installed which required a full day of work. The team they sent were professional and courteous towards me and my home. Also appreciated how they worked together as a solid engineering team to accomplish the overall of my houses major electrical systems in a day. Would highly recommend Chesapeake Electric!

    The service provided by Chesapeake was very professional and friendly. I was appreciative of the technicians attention to detail and they took excellent care of my home. There was some necessary drywall intrusion with my work, but they kept it as minimal as possible and did an excellent job restoring it with drywall screws. It will be a quick fix to patch it later. Punctuality was great and all materials are top notch. Will be utilizing them for future needs.

    Very nice guys who took their time doing the work. They also gave me a quote on future work. I would have given 5 stars, but Iā€™m not totally satisfied with the fixtures not being flush with the ceiling. After looking at the websites that displayed the lights, none of them hang down like mine are currently. I would appreciate a follow up appointment to see if this can be fixed, as caulking would still not give me the aesthetic that I was looking for.Update: Chesapeake Electric came back out within a week to assess and correct the install. Itā€™s beautiful and I appreciate the transparency and dedication to customer satisfaction. They earned the 5 stars and me as a customer who will not only use them again, but will recommend them to anyone else who could use their services.

    I wish all companies were this professional. From the moment I called until the work was finished I couldnt have been happier. Ethan Payne was the gentleman that completed the work at my house. He was very professional, respectful of my property, and showed me everything he was doing to do before starting and once the work was completed. He made sure I was 100% satisfied. If I need any more electrical work in the future I wouldnt hesitate to call and will definitely be asking for Ethan!

    Had an almost fire caused from our dryer outlet. Called Chesapeake to have them come help me safely replace the problem. They were able to come out the very next day and fix the problem. We had Cristian Ayala and he was so nice and was highly knowledgeable and made me feel confident in my decisions. Definitely have peace of mind.

    Derek and crew did a very good and very professional job. He kept me posted along the way and explained things thoroughly.     I was very happy with Brandon and Terry. They explained their tasks, ensuring I understood, and answered questions I had. Brandon showed that he was a great lead by listening to a suggestion his apprentice, Terry, had; implemented the suggestion; and told Terry that his suggestion was a good one. Brandon also passed this on to his supervisor. They ensured to clean up afterward and did a walk through with me to make sure everything was resolved and to my satisfaction.

    My technician Gary was very thorough in his top-to-bottom inspection of my new (to me) home and took great care to point out and explain any potential safety issues. I cannot yet afford to everything that I *want* to do to in my home, but he made sure to point out and help prioritize anything that I *need* to do. I will have them back when Iā€™m ready to carry out the rest of my home renovations!

    I would highly recommend Chesapeake Electric and would use them again in the future. They were able to provide me next day service. Gary came out early and actually took the time to diagnose my problem as well as look around my house for any other electrical needs I might have but not be aware of. Ive had 2 other electricians out to my house in the past 6 months that pushed my issue off on appliance problems and barely even looked at my electrical panel. Gary pinpointed what was wrong, explained the situation to me, and replaced the breaker, wiring, and outlet same day. Excellent customer service!

    We had Gary as our electrician to help us out. And we were happy as he is knowledgeable, kind, and polite. I loved how he gave us updates of what he was doing, not only with the electric, but letting us know where he would be in the house and if he was going to his truck, etc. He was good at explaining things I didnā€™t understand, and wore booties around the house to make sure he didnā€™t track any dirt or bring germs in the house. Itā€™s also the little things for me. He also moved everything back neatly and properly. Thanks Gary. We shall request you when we need more work done.

    We are super happy with the work done by Ian and team at Chesapeake Electric. Our condo had no ceiling lights and was very dark, so we had Chesapeake wire and install lights in our living space and bedroom. They also installed a chandelier, some new bathroom fans, and a ceiling fan in the office. Everyone was super professional, on time, and they cleaned up really thoroughly after they were finished. They also did their best to mitigate drywall damage, which I appreciate. We are very, very happy with the results, and we have so much more light! We highly recommend Chesapeake Electric and will definitely use them again if we need any more electrical work done.

    This was the best experience that I have had with a contractor in some time.They were on time, kept me informed of the work they were doing during the day. I was given options as to what they thought was needed now, what could be put off and what they suggested in the future.I had complete trust in what they suggested and the work they were performing.     The work Ian from Chesapeake Electric did today was top notch. He was super professional, kind, and well versed in his expertise. He identified some issues that were outside his wheelhouse too that is super good to know so we can get those things fixed. Our new exhaust fan is awesome, and the work done was top notch. On top of that, Ian did an excellent job cleaning up after his work. That should be standard but I havent found it so and Im so happy to be treated like we mattered and the work needed to be held to the highest standard.

    The service was good. There was a bit of a snafu with the scheduling but the dispatcher quickly made it right. The job was to replace 5 standard switches with smart switches. It proved to be trickier than expected but both Cody and his apprentice (I feel bad for not remembering his name) both worked it out. In the end, all of the switches are working as expected.

    Ethan was amazing and helped us out a lot! We had a lot of electrical issues in our house and needed both upgrades and repairs to our electrical system.Nathan came the same day we contacted the company and he did a thorough investigation of the system, gave us several good quotes and walked us through the whole process. We also needed a new pool pump wired in time for the holiday and he fixed that right away even though the pump turned out to be missing vital hardware.Great guy and definitely our new go-to-electrician.

    Ian with Chesapeake Electric was awesome! He was on time, polite, professional and efficient. He even called ahead to give me his expected arrival time. He replaced a circuit on the electrical panel, sealed the wiring coming from outside into the house, and replaced a light fixture. He explained everything clearly before, during and after his work and answered my questions. He took his time to explain the items that needed to be fixed and suggestions for safety upgrades. I highly recommend Chesapeake Electric! The person who made the appointment was also polite and professional. The company provided a name, picture, and short description of Ianā€™s electrical background prior to his arrival. Excellent customer service! Very reasonably priced!

You never heard the two of them playing around or wasting time. At the end of each day they informed you what was accomplished that day and what will be done the next day.

    Chesapeake Electric is fantastic! The whole team: Mike, who conducted our evaluation and presented us with multiple options to compare and decide upon, and was with us every step of the way; Kathryn who was our office POC, helped us get our financing and worked through some issues with us for a smooth setup and scheduling; Derek and Terry who were the front-line heroes and came out and conducted our install and answered every random question that popped into my head. Everyone was transparent, polite, helpful, and willing to assist in any way they could. We had a whole home device change out, new 200A SPAN panel installed, new junction box installed, and EV charger installed over a period of a few days. The quality of the work and install was excellent and minimally invasive. Will always recommend this company for any electrical needs!!!

    Very pleasant gentleman called to let me know he was on his way. He put on booties before entering my home to keep mud off my carpets since it was a very rainy day. Gave me an estimate not only for the work requested, but for elements of a safety check. In addition to recessed lights in my living room, I needed an adjustment to my fuse box. He showed me what recessed lights he had and explained them both. He confirmed with me where the lights were to be Ƭ before he cut the holes. He took care to protect my furniture with plastic drapes. The lights looked beautiful when he was finished. He explained how to work the lights. He went over all the work he did when he was finished. He was very professional. The company appears to have gone paperless, so an estimate is prepared on a tablet, which can be hard on the eyes. Otherwise, I would have given the experience 5 stars.

    Logan (electrician) and his techs Terry, Kevin and Alex were the absolute best. Thorough, quality focused, and answered all our many questions. My husband is disabled and they regularly asked if it was ok to shut off a particular breaker, or where to place their equipment. And VERY thoughtful about not tracking leaves and debris into the house. They all put coverings on their shoes before coming in. First Class Plumbing referred me to Chesapeake Electric as excellent and I canā€™t wait to pass on my referral for Chesapeake Electric to neighbors and friends. They were outstanding.     I hired Chesapeake Electric to convert 7 recessed lights to LED and hang a new light fixture. Kevin was my technician. Someone else was with him but Iā€™m sorry I donā€™t remember his name. Both were very well spoken, friendly and knowledgeable. Kevin explained the work that would be done and helped me decide on the color temperature and brightness of the LED lights. I was a little indecisive but Kevin was patient with me. Kevin did an inspection of my home and found that the service panel outside was badly damaged. He recommended that it be replaced and explained why. He came back the next day and repaired it and swapped out two breakers. Overall, I was very pleased with the work that was done. I especially appreciated Kevinā€™s willingness to take the time to explain the work so that I could understand what would be done. I will definitely use this company again.

    This is the first time that I havenā€™t actually done a project myself and I really struggled with paying someone to do a job for me. I met with Zachary on the first day and he told me exactly what it would be to get the job done. I asked him for a few things to be done so that I could keep the old lights, and he told me that he would bring a box that would fit the old lights. I wasnā€™t expecting much and I didnā€™t think he would actually do it but he did and then he completed the job and very . He was very respectful, very clean, and made sure to clean up any mess that was left behind which really was nothing, but he still cleaned up behind himself. They were very transparent and gave you everything upfront so that you could make a smart and intelligent decision. Again, this is the first time Iā€™ve ever paid anybody in my life to do anything for me because I have been capable of doing these things, since I was 16.     Unknown fault was tripping the breaker. The circuit ran the porch fan, lights, and roof spotlights. Weā€™ve had two remodelings in that area and the wiring was less than professional. Derrick had to isolate the fault which was crazy to find. Turned out that squirrels had chewed through the wire insulation over three feet of wire causing the fault. The ā€œfixā€ was converting the old 20 amp wiring to three new circuits with new junction box and three new breakers. Derrick kept at it until it was done right. Thanks Derrick.

    We called this company to come give us an estimate on placing lights in four bedrooms, a front room, two bathroom Receptacles and a plug for our dryer. Once again, they discerned the number of circuits, the number of receptacles and estimated draw under normal use. Then read the manufacturers amperage needed and we decided the single 15 amp circuit was inadequate. I asked for an estimate which Paul provided, we approved, and they were able to implement during the same service call. The bottom line for us wasā€¦Chesapeake Electric came prepared, is competent and reasonable cost. We were happy and they were exhausted.

    Christen and Justin did an excellent job. They were personable, knowledgeable, professional and through. We were replacing a foyer chandelier with 18 foot ceiling height. They were extremely careful and worked with me to ensure I was happy with the placement. They also installed three new pendant lights over my kitchen island. Again, they were very meticulous about the measurements and placement. They cleaned everything up when they were done and was so thoughtful to put the old foyer chandelier in a box so that it was easy for me to transport it to a charity. I donā€™t think many contractors who would have taken the time to do that. It was like a cherry on top!

    I called a local company I used before first. They couldnt get a technician out for over a week and their price (hourly rate and two hour minimum) was absurd. I had seen Chesapeake Electric in the area and gave them a call. They responded quickly, their prices were reasonable and the electrician was knowledgeable. I asked him to replace a GFCI outlet (The outlet was a 20 amp on a 15 amp breaker and the previous owners painted the outlet to change the color and the test button was stuck), replace two light switches and check an unused switch leg for a bathroom exhaust fan. Chesapeake Electric has a show up fee for the estimate, but waive it if you proceed. The electrician walked me through the process, gave me the estimate, performed the work in a short period of time. Communication for scheduling, arrival and the work was outstanding. The electrician was experienced, knew what he was doing and recommended a tamper proof outlet instead of the one I provided. I will definitely call them next time I need any electrical work done. Called them for a bad exterior GFCI outlet and isolated ground installation. Russell was awesome. Five stars all day long.

    My partner and I recently went to Chesapeake Electric to complete some outlet installations in our home. We were immediately impressed by how quickly they were able to respondĀ and get a technician out to our house.     Mr. M. Greene was the technician that provided services today. After I pointed out the issue he readily diagnosed what the problems were and advised me on recommendations. He educated me on current codes for fire and C02 monitors. He was able to not only efficiently update my monitors but to also install fire/C02 monitors to all bedrooms. After Mr. Greene completed the installations, he demonstrated how to carry out monthly tests and explained other features of the new monitors. I thank him for a job WELL DONE!     Weā€™ve hired Chesapeake Electric several times for various projects. This time we had some wall sconces and light fixtures that needed to be installed. As usual, Chesapeake was fantastic. Our tech, Mike G., was professional, friendly, efficient, and nimble. When he discovered an old, out of code electrical box (which was something our contractor ignored), he immediately brought it to our attention and was able to easily replace it with the proper parts on his truck. We also decided to replace an old dimmer switch on the fly, and again, Mike was happy to oblige and had the proper part on hand. Mikeā€™s attention to detail (aligning and leveling our wall sconces, perfectly centering a track lighting fixture, etc.), willingness to traverse a snowy driveway a number of times to access his truck, and an overall can do attitude were exemplary. We also appreciated how careful and respectful he was working in our freshly painted and recently remodeled home. Working with Chesapeake and their electricians is always a positive and stress free experience.     Chesapeake Electric staff members were highly professional and quick to respond to our request to install a light fixture. Kaeyanta was excellent to deal with on the phone and kept us apprised of changes in the planned service time (adjusting to make it sooner). Kris arrived on time and performed the work efficiently. The fixture required a special bulb that did not come with the fixture, so he could not test it. After I purchased the bulb, it did not work. I called and Chesapeake Electric sent Kris back. He discovered that I had failed to remove a protective guard on the bulb and had the fixture working in short order.     When Mike arrived I had a long laundry list of work that was needed at our 42 year old house. Plugs and switches were all original to the house, smoke alarms needed to be brought up to code, an upgrade of our electrical box was needed as well as the wire coming in from the service. I also wanted three new light fixtures, two ceiling fans installed in the Master, and a box installed to clean up wires behind the TV. Mike was always punctual and very respectful of us and our property. With the help of Terry and Kevin the job took four days. We are very happy with the results. This is not my first time using Chesapeake Electric, and I am sure I will be calling them again when there is a need. I highly recommend this company.

    Front start to finish a very positive experience. I called and was scheduled an appointment in less than 24 hours. Kris, the electrician, assigned to our case called ahead, was on time, respectful of our property and extremely thorough in his assessment. I loved that he referred to a pricing sheet when quoting the cost for some of the services that we asked about. No making pricing up on the spot! He provided estimates in writing before leaving our property, Kris completed the capacity assessment that we requested and used the time while he was waiting for the calculations to educate us on ways to save on our BGE bill.     Kris was absolutely fantastic. On a scale of 1-10, Iā€™d give him 11. His work was thorough, correct and professional. But more than that, he was a pleasure to work with. He came up with alternate solutions to some of what we proposed, and presented them in a low-key but confident way. He was very patient, walking us through the steps of setting up new equipment. Everything is working great and the whole process was easy and stress-free. I think Iā€™ll look for some more electrical needs in the house now!
