We recently contracted NM Solar Pros to instal a 26kW standby generator at our East Mountains property. In a nutshell, I am very impressed by the professionalism, the quality of work, and the effective communication we had throughout the entire process from getting an estimate to completing the installation. Already at the estimate stage I was pleasantly surprised by the thorough and detailed proposal that provided a clear picture of the costs and the options. Equally important was the fact that we had very effective communication with Albert responding within a few hours by phone or text to my questions.During the installation phase what impressed me most was the level of coordination and logistical skill by Albert and his team. All the pieces would come together with delivery of materials, inspections, etc, right on time and schedule. We had the generator up and running within a week, as promised.Overall, I would say that this was one of the best experiences I had and I would highly recommend Albert and his company

The old saying, you dont know what you dont know is alive and well at our home. I have a Generac Home Generator that shut down due to low oil. Call NM Solar & Generator Profesionals and made an appointment.I didnt know Mr. Silva was the owner, but he immediately went to work on my system and found the oil filler cap vibrated off. He topped off the oil, cleaned the unit and I was up and running within 15 min. This company made a serious impression on me as well as a loyal fan. Highly recommend!

They have done a PV system with battery backup for my mother and they just completed a Franklin WH battery backup system on the existing PV system on my home. I requested a quote for the installation of a full house generator (26 kW) through the Generac website. Two local companies reached out to schedule a house survey and one of these was New Mexico Solar Professionals. Albert showed up on time for the survey and walked us through the options available based on not just our electricity usage but also based on the solar generation we already had on the roof. He made sure my wife and I both understood the solution he would be providing. Within the week, we had the quote in hand. The quote was itemized to provide a solid idea of what we would be charged. After giving him the go ahead, things moved pretty quick. Online paperwork arrived within a couple of days for us to sign. And Al’s office manager reached out to schedule the installation as we were finishing the paperwork. We only had to wait a couple of weeks for the actual installation. No issues with parts on back order and only a few other installations a head of us.The installation took about three days. During the installation, Al answered all of our questions respectfully and some of these questions included ones related to additional costs. Some of these additional costs were discussed during the quote process and had slipped my mind. The others were outside of everyone’s control and I do not hold that against how Al generated and presented his estimate. Al and his team finished the job on time, if not a bit early. All equipment was cleanly and professionally installed. This included managing the landscaping around where the generator is installed. He then walked us through the break in period of the generator along with scheduling the first servicing after the break in. The first servicing his when he educated both my wife and I on the proper generator operations and maintenance. This is when we both realized an issue with the installation in that some of the new hardware was causing problems with the solar panels. Al troubleshot the issue right then and there, identified the potential culprit being issues with the cleanliness of our commercial power, and came up with a solution. Unfortunately, that solution required scheduling a few more hours for some rewiring. Then the snow hit once…maybe even twice, then a few more fact of life and doing business circumstances. Al did not disappear on us during these, but kept us informed of potential times he was going to show up and attempted to coordinate with our family schedule to make sure someone would be home. When everything lined up, he was there on time again, finished the work, explained everything to my wife, and let us know this additional work was on him. Something he didn’t need to do.Both my wife and I are highly satisfied with how Al and NM Solar Professionals handled our generator installation and we are recommending them to those in our neighborhood who are also getting a bit frustrated with the routine, multi-hour power outages we have.

The NM Solar Pro team was probably one of the best house project experiences we’ve ever had (and we’ve done a lot of projects and renovations). We installed a whole house Generac generator in Santa Fe and they did an absolutely amazing job. They clearly know the technical requirements for the install as others have stated (and it wasn’t an easy install set up) but even beyond that they exceeded my expectations in the overall project management department. From the initial proposal to the install scheduling and town permitting, they handled everything and communicated frequently and clearly. When getting things put back in place, they went above and beyond to ensure everything was back in its place and tidy. Highly recommend this team for your generator project (I’m sure they’re great at Solar too but we opted for just a generator).

They are professionals who had every facet of the install planned and everything went smoothly and according to plan. They kept us informed at every step of the way; even letting us know when permits were submitted, approved, and when inspectors would be coming to our house during the install. They worked with us to establish the dates that would be convenient for us for the install and actually finished the installation ahead of schedule. Im Ed Lopez. Really happy with my installation. Albert is the consummate professional. Enjoyed working with him. I would have loved to have installed a 20,000 kw standby system but quickly learned I couldnt afford it. Albert showed me how a 10,000 kw system could achieve what I realistically needed. The installation went smoothly, Albert taught me how to use it, no mean achievement since he was dealing with a technologically challenged individual, for example I couldnt figure out how to pull up a google account so Im using my sons, and the performance is excellent. I recommend Albert.

This was a complicated project that went surprisingly seamlessly. Albert had all of his ducks in a row and was extremely thorough with explaining the process beforehand and while the project was underway. The only initial hesitancy was they wanted the final payment to take place before the project was completed. Their good reputation encouraged us to go through with it and we are glad we did! Everything was fine. They did great work and are obviously masters of their craft. Everyone was very respectful and kind. I recommend the NM Solar Pros if you are interested in getting an in-home generator!

Albert Silva of NM Solar Professionals took on a complicated upgrade that three other electricians had passed on. It involved installing a Generac standby generator, with an automatic transfer switch, to an existing system connected to a solar array. To further complicate matters, the entire electric service panel and utility meter had to be upgraded as well. The job went as smoothly as could be expected and we were only without power for one day. During this time Albert provided a generator to power our critical systems. We’re very satisfied with the project outcome.

Albert provided excellent service and on time installation of the Cummings Generator in our old adobe casa. He kept us informed at every step of the install process. He systematically went through our complex household electrical system and brought our circuit breakers up to code to insure compatability of the new generator system. Then throughly tested the whole system. So this week we had our first neighborhood power outage for the generator (which are fairly frequent and our rationale for the wholehouse backup) and the generator kicked in 7 seconds latter, Operating for 4 hours as advertised and shutting down when power was restored! We off course were the only ones in the area with power as the the neigbors looked on with envy. PNM arrived at our house to see why we still had security lights on! Solar Pros are in fact Pros! Highly recommended!

AMAZING BUSINESS. We had NM Solar Pros install our whole house generator in our new build. Jeremiah did the install and I was amazed at how knowledgeable, punctual, he communicated when he was expected to arrive, showed quality and care on the work performed during this install from start to finish. Not to mention the clean up. He left the site very clean.Albert the owner has trained his crew to be professional and provide wonderful customer service. I wish all our other trades were at great as them.Recently I have had to reach out to Albert questions about the generator and he was quick to respond very helpful and was able to come out before the snow storm to ensure everything was working correctly.The value of the service they provide is priceless. Highly Recommended! Having a roof with no/little shading, NM Solar Pros installed my new solar system with a simple SMA inverter. This simple system works perfectly and avoids the cost and potential failure points of an overly complex system - exactly what I wanted. The owner, Albert, is exceptionally knowledgeable and responsive to all questions, and the finished product looks professional and done right.
