    Ive had a Kasselman installed solar system on my house for over 12 months now! I wanted to wait at least a year prior to providing a review considering how long panels are on my/your house.Short version:I highly recommend Kasselman solar as an installer. I give Kasselman 23/25 points in this review.Quick rankings1. Ease of purchasing, project management: 5/52. quality of equipment and work: 5/53. willing to meet specific requests: 5/54. local people who care factor (predicted future support): 5/55. value of energy produced versus quoted: 3/5Longer story:Kasselman vs Tesla:I compared Kasselman to Tesla and didnt receive other quotes. Tesla was considerably cheaper but was hard to specify to them that Id like the array on a specific part of my roof. Because of their lack of communication the result was a sub-optimal array which was tiny. Additionally Tesla uses white labeled Qcell solar panels with no optimizers and a single central inverter that is made in-house and known to have reliability issues. Their service team is also then known to be slow to respond to issues. Most of my conversations with folks at Tesla were with people in Nevada. In light of that I went with Kasselman a local 60 years in business company who proposed a top tier system with REC panels and Enphase micro-inverters. The micros are also safer than running DC cabling down the side of your house (as their output right on the roof is AC, ask the OG Tesla about it!).Purchasing Process:The reason for deducting points on row 5 is Stephen (who otherwise was great at putting up with my very detailed questioning) overrepresented the production the system would make, considerably. Also he never mentioned NYSERDA assess a fee of $1.45*system size (in kW) per month. Thats $13 a month added to my electric bill! Despite being pretty researched on the topic I didnt know this and It actually slows down your payback period. I highly recommend using PVWatts to get a sense of actual production prior to purchasing any solar system. Otherwise the process was easyInstall / Permitting Process:You likely know new york state is highly bureaucratic and slows the process of permitting down considerably. I think my house went through like 4-5 inspections. This is however proof Kasselman did all their paperwork properly. During the process Kasselman was fast and clear at communicating the process and timelines. They did this through the holiday season too and I couldnt be happier with how hard the team worked. The whole system was installed within 1 day and they sent a decent sized crew with knowledgeable folks. The team was kind and profession.Equipment Reliability / Performance:The system has been incredibly reliable with 0 performance issues, roof leaks, etc. Kasselman also uses very high quality solar rails and mounting which often other installers will skimp on. The system has after 12 months made ~6.7% less than the final high resolution simulation Kasselman runs for each project. This however is likely due to an incredibly cloudy year compared to typical. Friends with solar communicated similarly low production for the year for their system relative to previous years.Payback period:Not every house / lot is ideal for solar. My system is one of those houses / lots. I really wanted solar none the less and Kasselman got into the details with me of optimizing a system thats on the back of my house, facing the N-NE direction, with big 100ft trees around it. Despite all these constraints this solar system still will qualify as an asset that returns money to my family and I over the long haul. Eventually itll also be a tool to help provide backup power in a storm / outage. After incentives my 9 kW system was $15645. The system generated 6728kWh this year which once including NYSERDAs fee was worth $1104. Ill see a payback in ~12 years assuming a degradation of the system of 0.25% / year and an increase in electricity prices of 3% / year. If my roof was more ideal that payback period could have been as short as 8 years.

    Kasselman Solar, LLC installed a 45 cell, 19.13 kW (DC) solar array on my house on October 14/15, 2024. I was very happy with every stage. I like the fact that K-S took care of all the paperwork, including financing, permits, and contacting my utility. I was kept informed every step of the way.

    Kasselman Solar did an excellent job getting solar installed on my home. They were patient and flexible as we considered three different setups, from a ground mount, to a garage system, then finally opting for the home roof installation. They demonstrated their commitment to the best installation by providing some flexible language in the final contract, and even during the installation itself turned around a quick contract modification to add an additional panel to maximize power output. Their sales team were a please to work with, being both responsive to questions and providing updates where appropriate. The installation crew was also professional, friendly, and efficient. The entire 26 panel was installed in two days. Very happy with the experience! Thank you!

    Saturday, October 19, 2024Install went well.I worked in construction all my life. If I had ever thought that Kasselman would send so much manpower, equipment and energy I would have laughed at the concept. Eight men, three trucks, loaded with material and solar equipment. Within a half hour I was pretty sure the install was in good hands. From Ray the foreman on down, the crew was friendly and seemed motivated. I’m sure it being Friday had something to do with that, but one could tell that they were used to one another and on cue with their tasks. Within six hours the attic structural work was completed, the panels installed on the roof and the control panel was wired and ready for inspection.If anyone asks me if I would recommend Kasselman Solar for their home I would answer “For Sure!!!”

    Kasselman installed our solar panels. It took a lot longer than expected. At first it was a bit slow and the quote ended up being incorrect but I appreciate that Kasselman worked with me for a long time to get this project completed in 2022. Now we have solar panels that produce quite a bit of energy. So far so good. They have had to help trouble shoot with us as well due to the electrician and they were quick to respond. I am happy with their service and would recommend. They also provide good rebates and help you with the whole process because solar includes all kinds of needed permits. The timing of actual install was super quick Kasselmans team install 51 panels in less than a day.

    I was very impressed with Kasselmans installation of solar panels in our home. Their engineers worked with us to come up with an efficient panel placement, they explained all the options and steps involved, and made everything as seamless as possible. They quickly responded to any phone calls and emails when we had questions. Installation was done right on schedule and everyone was very professional.We used the NYSERDA loan program and Kasselman handled all the NYSERDA interface after we submitted our application.Compared to some other companies we investigated the Kasselman reps were very knowledge, didnt making misleading claims, and werent pushy. They seemed to understand that this is a major decision and customers needed to work through the selection process at their own pace. I 100% recommend them.Just finished out first month with panels and the energy produced was right on target with Kasselmans predictions. Very happy!

    Perfect is good enough!!Our Kasselman Solar system has been up & running for 6 years now. During this time it has produced over 51Mwh of clean energy with no issues.     I reached out to Kasselman to get some information when we were just thinking about solar, at that time I did not expect that it would be something that would work with our budget. Their response answered all of my questions and they offered a personalized consultation, at that time I told them I wanted to wait a few months and they were very understanding and not pushy at all. When I reached back out they were able to do a zoom presentation tailored to our home. They provided all calculations for cost, tax incentives, loan rates, and expected payoff. There was no pressure to make any decision or sign any contracts until we were ready. I took a few days to crunch the numbers and make sense of everything, because I did not expect that solar could actually be that affordable. My only complaint is that I was not presented with the option of a lower rate loan through NYSERDA, which I discovered after talking with family that had recently gone solar. Ultimately that lower rate made the project even more affordable and we will be saving money even earlier.Once we signed on we were assigned a project coordinator who was in constant communication via email gathering information and providing progress reports. Matt answered all our questions in a timely manner whenever we asked. On install day the team arrived first thing in the morning, the crew leader introduced himself and walked me around to discuss the plan for the day. Everyone who came to the house was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The install team was extremely efficient in their work and spent time walking the grounds looking for trash.It took an additional week or so for national grid and the town to complete inspections to have the system turned on, but it was exciting to see it make power. Given it was turned on just before Christmas it took a few weeks to get some sunny weather to really see the benefits of our production. I kind of expected there to be some sort of lag before we were truly producing all of our electricity. I would suggest maybe finding a way to estimate for clients when they might see all of their electricity being produced by their system.Overall we were very impressed with Kasselman Solar and their employees. I am confident that if we have any issues in the future that their service team will be able to handle it. We would definitely recommend anyone considering solar to work with Kasselman.

    Kasselman Solar installed these amazing REC 410W Solar Panels as well as an EV wiring/outlet and a Generator Transfer Switch all in the same week. From beginning to end it was a pleasure to work with everyone involved. They are Gold Status from NYSERDA an important status for installation. Pricing was fair and the same cost as other quotes though Kasselman had the latest Solar Panels. They offer a good bridge loan if looking to extend the payment. Tax credits are about 30% off, so its really worth installing panels now.I HIGHLY recommend that the critter guards be in the quote and then be installed at the time the Solar panels are installed. Had a family of squirrels move under the panels and they chewed multiple panels wiring. Kasselman Service was able to safely remove the squirrels and their nests then install the guards. You can not tell the guards are even there.

    We installed 31 solar panels on our flat-roofed stucco house. Kasselman Solar did a fine job, from the initial help we got from its salesperson, Mark Bomba, to the final installation itself and the assistance from Matt Christian, our project manager. Everything went very smoothly. The system is up and running well. The Enphase phone app provides a lot of useful, real-time information about the electricity were producing, down to the performance of each individual panel. We havent had any problems.

    We recently had a ~7KW solar system installed by Kasselman from Colonie, NY.Stephen Clemens, Lead PV Design Engineer, came prepared with slides and was extremely knowledgeable to our door. We braced ourselves. We were gun-shy to do this because of a bad experience with a salesperson from SolarCity who held us “hostage” with a 2.5 hour demonstration. Stephen simply answered our questions after quietly listening. No sales pitch, just expert answers. We immediately signed up.Some things that were important to us were :1. Getting the full Tax Credit. After this year the percentage is decreasing so it had to be this year.2. Owning rather than renting. I didn’t want someone else’s panels on our roof. Our home insurance has more than enough to cover them so we didn’t even need to change it.3. Having a larger system than our current use so when I get a 100% electric car in a couple years, it’ll be sized right. Solar City had said it was not possible. Stephen however said it was, just more paperwork to submit, which would not be an issue for Kasselman.4. House resale value increase. And there’s evidence it does.5. Great quality panels and inverter. I don’t want them to degrade over the years as quickly as the Chinese panels I heard about. These are top quality in my opinion with a great warranty.6. Locally based business.7. Continuous monitoring for panel issues.8. An app app to see how things are progressing. Just saw power generation while it was raining! Didn’t expect that!9. Bridge loan from GreenSky for the portion we will get back from Fed and State tax credits so we didn’t have to come up with it all up front. That was easy. We’ll have a year no interest no payments, which will be sufficient to get through tax season.As for the installation. We had a project manager, Nick Coveney. He was fantastic. Always kept us informed. Made a professional quality site plan. Worked with all the different agencies to get permits and coordinated with us for mutually convenient installation and inspections for City of Albany. I really liked DocuSign for paperwork authorization. No printing, signing and scanning. Even did it once on my phone.And, as a bonus, our neighbor who recommended them gets a $500 referral check!

    After a few years of talking about solar with my husband, but not researching too far in, I decided to get quotes through Energy Sage. Kasselman Solar was on par with most of the 5 quotes (3 of 5 were all within $2K of each other), but they were the company that didnt push to set up a call right away. From the start, Adam Jordan was thorough with his explanation of the system, rebate/savings incentives, and discussion of the whole process from chatting about what it took to Allison coming out and plugging in the final component. Cost was the big concern and in the long run, I will pay about half of the quoted system after rebates and tax returns. I really wanted the array on our barn so it was less visible. The metal roof was no concern. Kasselman frequently works with people across NY so my home (southeast of Syracuse) wasnt out of their customer radius at all. I am so happy we installed solar and even with this rainy spring are producing well above our monthly draw which will be a nice bank for the shorter, cloudier winter months. The team at Kasselman was very accommodating in my request to talk over email (vs phone) so I had an exact record of what was said to discuss with my husband, to work with my work schedule (and not needing me at the house during the whole install), and in following up with any concerns or questions after the system had been running.

    Kasselman handled the installation of my solar system from quote, to assistance with financing and NYSERDA paperwork, engineering, permits, adding necessary strictural. support in attic, installation, set-up of the monitoring system, dealing with National Grid for net metering, and then customer service follow ups. All went very smoothly, and the entire process took about a month, which was less than I expected! There was communication at every step and they answered all of my questions very timely. Excellent and professional at every stage!Since net metering began, Ive been fascinated with the monitoring app. I can see production and usage every fifteen minutes. Due to this, Ive noticed what in the house uses the most energy (hot water heater, which I now plan to replace with something more efficient!). The A/C is now replaced with a heat pump and my export of electricity has grown! Of course, very rainy days mean less created, but even cloudy days allow the panels to work well. I am really happy. As time goes on, I will edit to add when repairs are needed, but I anticipate excellent support and service. Kasselman is highly recommended!!

    The experience was seamless. Many times you go into these large projects not knowing if the partner you select will live up to expectations. From the initial inquiry to the planning all the way through installation, this was a very comfortable experience. At no point in time did we feel they did not have our best interests in mind. Our install was a 72 panel array with trenching and all the things inbetween. They did a tremendous job from our project manager to the guys on the ground. They were thoughtful about our property and made sure they minimzed any impact to the land. From the electricians to the installers to the guys doing the trenching to the PM and the upfront sales folks; they are top quality and you can feel assured theyll do the job right for any sized project.

    We have just commissioned a solar system designed and installed by Kasselman. So far, so good.Our new construction home offered a few unusual challenges in that we wished to use an interior conduit and also site the panels to avoid the location of a possible future chimney. As a new home, we also had concerns about possible damage to a newly installed roof. The sales and project management staff were responsive and courteous, and worked with us to design a system that respected our requirements. The installation staff were equally professional and courteous.At this point, having just turned the system on, we have very little information on how energy production meets expectations.But based on our experience thus far, we do recommend them.

    From start to finish we had a great experience with Kasselman Solar. Our salesman, Dave, explained all the local, state, and federal incentives—not to mention how 2019 is the last year for “NET Metering” which is big reason why this is a great year to buy solar. As soon as we decided to go ahead, the Kasselman crew kicked into gear by developing our engineering design, obtaining the Town approval, and coordinating with National Grid. The entire process from our initial phone call to commissioning our system took less than two months. All the relevant documents and signatures were handled electronically which made the process totally painless. Our project manager, Allison, has great communication skills and kept us informed every step of the way. Finally, our installers (Cody, Josh, Jason, Ian, Derek, Tim, and others) took great pride in their work and gave us a very CLEAN installation.... Looks great and works perfectly. Highly recommended.

    I selected Kasselman because of its size and reviews and NYS listing. They are excellent! People are professional and really know their job and can explain what theyre doing. They were on time and communicated arrivals and results of visits. The process was efficient with one contact who oversaw each step and let me know what was next. That included prompts for paperwork, like bank loans, through inspections and grid linkage. He was knowledgeable and could answer questions about anything. Actual installation day, was smooth.I highly recommend them if youre planning a solar installation.

    Everyone we dealt with at Kasselman Solar from the owner to the installers was very professional, courteous and responsive. They kept us informed every step of the way and were very upfront with costs and helpful with financing. They showed up when scheduled and cleaned up when they were done. They were very conscious of safety concerns with Covid and limited access to our house and always wore masks when needed.     Kasselman was not only at our house once for solar installation, they were here twice. Last year we started the solar adventure and after looking into several other solar installers we chose Kasselman because they were local and have been in business in the electrical field for many years. Adam came to the house to talk with us about what would be done and then came back a second time when we had questions about things we did not fully understand. The process was smooth in getting the panels on the roof and when it started working we were amazed at how much, even for the winter months, was being produced. The original installation was a 50% system as we were not sure what it was we were expecting. When our electrical bills dropped to 30 - 40% of what they used to be we knew we wanted to add a second set of panels to complete our system, now at 75% of the original design for our house. Kasselman jumped at the opportunity to come back for a repeat customer. Upon going to their offices, Steve offered a tour of their warehouse. My grandson loved looking at and playing with several of the gadgets they had there.The final installation has been completed; less than a day on the roof, and when the final inspection is complete and the system in full operation we will be at the point where we want to be. Kasselman is THE solar company to use for quality in materials and craftsmanship. They are attuned to what you want and will work with you to accomplish the end results.     David Kowalsky did the design of the system, he was very professional, he followed diligently the time schedule we agreed upon, and followed up after the installation. The installers did a great job for all the components of the installation, they left the property immaculate after each job. The installation managers explained clearly and in detail the various stages of the installation and promptly answered questions. The inspectors praised the quality of the work. The office people were very responsive and prompty provided me with information they did not have at their fingertips. The service department scheduled a service visit for something that I thought was not working as expected (it turned out to be a misunderstanding on my part).I am very happy with the experience.

    Outstanding A-Z solar installation by KasselmanI recently purchased a rooftop solar installation from Kasselman Solar. They did everything right: every step of the way they made sure they asked for and understood my needs and preferences, they made sure they provided me with all information I needed (e.g., how federal and state tax credits work), and they did everything on time, within budget, and in the manner they said they would. I often work in my home office, and they were very careful about making sure that they did not disturb my work when I needed to be on the phone. I could not recommend them more highly.

    Everyone I dealt with at Kasselman was professional and personable. I started the process with Dave Kowalsky, PV Design Engineer, who patiently answered all of my questions and helped me figure out what size system I should get. There was no pressure at all and I never felt like I was being sold something. His approach was very consultative, much less salesy than other companies.For the installation stage, I was assigned to Nick Coveney, Project Manager. He returned all my calls promptly, was flexible in scheduling the work and stayed on top of things the whole way. I always felt that Nick was looking out to make the installation go as smoothly as possible.     In November of 2014 we had our solar panels installed by Kasselman Solar. The process was seamless. The installers and electricians were 100% professional and the job was completed in no time. During the past year we had a couple of issues with the microinverters, which were under warranty, and they were replaced quickly and without cost. Kasselman continued to monitor our system, and notified us when they noticed that there was another microinverter on the fritz. Couldnt ask for better customer support. Kasselman continues to provide us great service after 5 years.

    I researched solar installers for years before installing. This was because I had to wait to replace my roof before installing solar. Kasselman was my choice before I was ready, and afterwards, I know I was right to choose them. They took care of EVERYTHING! All I had to do was arrange financing, and they sent the links for that. I filled it out, emailed it out. They did everything else. Adam (sales) was the best salesman Ive ever dealt with. He was there for the ENTIRE process, even 6 months later to mail me a referral check, after one of my friends installed with Kasselman. The inspector commented that Kasselmans work is very good, and he never has any problems with them.     Kasselman Solar did great with our install they completed last week. Our roof wasnt standard and they were able to figure it out and make it work great. The install is super nice and neat all in a perfect rectangle on the roof. We have the solar monitoring app and website account as well. You can see individual panel performance and theres many other ways to look at the data. Their master electrician even helped get our Sense electrical monitoring unit setup too. Everyone was super friendly, there was an on-site project manager and also a back office project manager (Nick) who coordinated everything and kept us in the loop of which days they were coming in between the really big rain storms we were having.The amount of rain was a buster but we all pulled through and now we have solar! Kasselman was very upfront with timing, what they would try but not promise, and what was in their control and not.     Kasselman installed a 24 panel system on our home. They were diligent and flexible throughout the entire process, answering all of our questions and providing clear descriptions of where panels would be installed and where wiring would be routed.The full black-frame panels look great, no blue PV or aluminum-silver frames and the rack system lags directly into the roof trusses complete with flashing. One of the best aspects of working with Kasselman was there attention to wiring routing inside of the house. Theres no ugly conduits on the roof or around the eaves.     I first contacted Kasselman Solar after initially dealing with SolarCity. SolarCity came back with a proposal but it came in the form of long, tedious contract even though I was signing up to pay for 20 years of electricity up front. In addition, the usable area of the roof on my house is small once the Towns 3 setback was considered. I had purchased the storage building next door and added its acreage to my property. The building had a large roof and a large, south-facing brick wall. I had the idea that one could place panels on the wall instead of the roof but in a manner that would allow the panels to swing out in the summer to catch the rays from the high sun and swing down in the winter to gather rays from the low sun. In addition, the snow in the winter would mostly fall off the panels with the last bit being easily brushed off. An additional benefit would be the collection of the reflected light from any snow on the ground. No solar panel company that I have talked to considers the conditions of a NY winter.I had several long talks with SolarCity about placing panels on a wall – they refused to even consider it even though one of their engineers thought it was a good idea. I then saw an advertisement for Kasselman Solar. I went to their location of business to see their model. Although, they were also not set up to do wall installations, I decided to go ahead with the roof installation because I needed 26 panels and the wall would only allow 8. However, they did agree to help with the wiring of an extra panel that I could use for experimentation during the winter.The installation itself went perfectly even though the panels were put up on one of the coldest and windiest days at the end of November, 2014. I was left to install the extra panel which wasnt started until the next summer so I have no information about how it is going to perform in the winter. But as I was installing it, Kasselman came out to inspect everything and made a number changes in the installation so that it is now working along with the original panels on the roof. The software allows me to compare the energy produced by each individual panel and, in particular, allows me compare the output of the panels on the roof with the extra one which is just mounted on the ground leaning against the wall. I will have more information about the comparative output of the panels after the winter of 2015-2016.I paid for the panels up front after Kasselman gave me a breakdown of the NYSERTA grant money and the Federal and NY State tax credits. When filling out the tax forms for 2014, I found that their numbers were exactly correct. Leasing panels may seem like a good deal up front, but there are longterm contractual matters that I prefer to avoid.Steve Kasselman, who runs Kasselman Solar, and members of his company have been to my house several times to improve the installation and its communication system. When there are minor issues, he has been readily available by email to answer questions and to make suggestions. I think dealing with a local company is much better than dealing with big companies located in California. I recommend Kasselman Solar without reservation.By the way, the panels are now producing more electricity than we are using. I hope that the credits we are earning from National Grid will see us through the winter. Im waiting to see how this goes.

    The team as Kasselman were great to work with and used all the experience they have gained as electricians in this new industry. It all started with the insistence on meeting face to face to talk about their solution, the costs, the differentiators etc. and continued with an incredible, professional installation team, a project manager who communicated very well, and ended with the CEO coming to drop off and setup the last few pieces. All in all it was well worth it and I cannot wait to upgrade to grid tied battery system when it comes out. The technology is cutting edge, with micro-inverters, and web based monitoring. If there was any tiny piece I could ding them on, it was the fact that I was lost with the financing through NYSERDA and the third party bridge piece. Not entirely their fault as the whole system was swamped during this spring. I would 100% recommend them and will use them to expand in the future.

    It’s unfortunate that I’am not able to utilize their services at this time. I do have a huge tree that blocks direct sunlight to our house which basically makes our home not viable for solar energy. I talked to Mr. James Stewart one of their lead PV Engineer, who gave me a ton of info. He did not push me into getting the sales like some other solar companies I have talked to. That’s why I’m writing this review for all of you out there who is looking for a solar company to hire. Please give this Company a call and you won’t regret it.     These guys are the greatest, had multiple quotes from other companies and they were by far the best option with the best product, the best installation and not to mention the best price. His basement showed of years of experience, if my friend didnt point out all of the wiring and components I would never even seen the additional accessories. Extremely clean job.     Let me begin by stating I do not know anyone that works at Kasselman Solar nor do I know the owner. I began my quest for a Solar Company over 7 years ago. To make a long story short, after obtaining 4 quotes from four separate Solar Companies, I settled on Kasselman. I was convinced they were the complete package and all I can say is, boy was I right for once in my life.At the time, I was satified with how everything went and encouraged 3 other family members and friends who were also in the market for solar to go with Kasselman. In the end, four of us bought our systems through them. Fast forward 7 years and for some reason (possibly storm related) my daughters system had a catastrophic failure. I contacted Kasselman who actually scheduled a service call MUCH quicker than I would have anticipated. They sent a service crew over and narrowed the problem down over a two day period. It turned out that 19 of 30 inverters had failed and needed to be replaced. Of the four solar systems bought through Kasselman, none of us had EVER had a single problem over all these years. From the Kasselman office service contact I dealt with (Serena) to the technicians (Hector, Eric, and Tim amongst two others), I cant say enough about how great the communication, service, and professionalism they all exhibited. I was told the inverters were still under warranty and the issue would be resolved at no cost to my daughter under her warranty.I am sixty-six years old and can honestly say, I havent seen this level of customer service in a very long time. Mr. Kasselman, I thank you for your company and clearly you have the right kind of ambassadors working for you. To any of you out there who are currently considering solar, when you get off the fence and decide to move forward, I HIGHLY recommend this company. We were immediately impressed by his knowledge, his charisma for the industry and willingness to answer even the silliest of questions in order to help educate us on the process. What a great service the team provides: contact information for financing options, handling all paperwork for local permits, Federal and State credit and a liaison with National Grid.     We are thrilled with Kasselman Solar! They recently designed a system for us for an 1850s house that we took apart and reconstructed in a new location, complete with solar and geothermal. Kasselmans design, installation and project management services are second to none. We will be using them for many projects to come as we are building a development of saved historic homes. Geothermalpowered by solar resulted in a total utility bill of under $150 with NO insulation installed yet, running tools, lights and heating system.

    Overall the entire process from start to finish was fantastic.We found everyone we came in contact with, either by email or in person, to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely doing their best to make this process a good experience.I thought it was great that the install crew came out prior to the install to verify the fitment and see any obstacles they would be facing.The entire install crew and the electricians were great. In all my years of owning this house I have only had two contracting crews that I thought deserved praise for a job well done and Kasselmans team is one of them. They kept me informed, did their best to make the install as seamless as possible, answered my questions, and there was only some aluminum chips left from when they cut the mounting rails to length. Other than that, every ounce of debris and garbage was picked up.The emails from their office staff were great too. I was kept informed of where we stood in the process at all times. Getting names and numbers for the lead installer and lead electrician was something I didnt expect but truly appreciated.As a details geek, I am overloading on the info I can get about the panels from the Enphase Monitoring Tool. Maybe it will lose its allure in the future but I doubt it. :)I highly recommend Kasselman and kudos to everyone who worked with us during this process. Excellent job!

    We recently had Kasselman Solar install a 27 panel solar array a few months ago on our home in Beacon, NY. We highly reccomend them as they have an outstanding team of hard-working and honest people, were more than helpful in addressing our questions and concerns, and came in more affordable than other options we looked at (and we did a ton of research.) We were also relieved to know that they have an electric company as well as solar, which gave us peace of mind knowing they are diversified in industries and should be around for a long time.     Its pretty incredible to actually find a company you enjoy contacting and dealing with on a regular basis. I contacted Kasselman Solar because of all of their positive reviews. I had researched other companies and found that those companies were littered with negative reviews, but I couldnt find one bad thing said about Kasselman. It was actually odd and almost made me skeptical about contacting them, but I am sure happy I did! Once I requested a consultation, they were always quick to respond to any of my inquiries, from the initial consultation, to post solar installation questions, and of course everything in between as well.My consultant, Stephen, answered all of our questions at the consultation. He was very knowledgeable, and anything I threw at him, he had an answer for. Even any questions after the initial consultation he was quick to respond to and answer. After signing the contract, Kasselman got the ball rolling on everything right away, from the building permit, to the NYSERDA loan, and to the interest free bridge loan. The only delay was due to slow local government approving the building permit, but once the town approved the permit, it was a matter of a week before my system was installed and turned on.The crew that installed the system was incredibly friendly, clean, efficient and most definitely courteous (I had a sitter watching 3 kids at the house) of the guests in my home. They installed the racking system, 24 panels, and wired them into my electrical box all in a single day, and after they cleaned up, it was like they werent even there.The following week a very friendly 3rd party inspector came to inspect the electrical, gave it the thumbs up, and I flipped the switch and turned them on. Seeing the meter spin backwards that morning was awesome and literally made me say to myself, wow it really works! The following day, Michael came out to setup the Envoy system which reads the stats and production of the panels right through the electrical lines. He answered more of my questions and again was very courteous of the guests in my house.To sum it up, Kasselman Solars commitment to making their customers happy is quite an incredible complement to the state of the art solar systems which they install. If I owned another house in the area, I would reach out to this company in a heartbeat, and I recommend to anyone reading this review and interested in learning more about solar panels, to take that step and see what its about, they will not let you down.

    Kasselman Solar has been great, they stand behind the product and installation. I had my system installed in November, had some glitches with the microinverters and lots of snow. Kasselman came back a couple of times to get it right. Now that winter is over and snow is gone, the system is producing nicely. Before selecting Kasselman, I interviewed and received quotes from 4 contractors. Kasselman was the most responsive and best price/value. They worked with me the entire process - NYSERDA, utility company etc. As of tax day, I got my Federal and NYS tax credits roughly 50% in total. Im looking forward to a zero carbon footprint. From my first meeting with ADAM JORDAN, to meeting with STEVE KASSELMAN to the final equipment set-up with BRANDON LeFEVRE ALL of the representatives of this company gave outstanding customer service, followed through on promises and expectations, were extremely informative and were a delight to work with! Adam I met through my realtor trade show and he took much time to explain the differences in solar companies and products. Not only did he explain everything from a consumers point of view, but also was instrumental in explaining how to assist my sellers or buyers when looking to buy or sell with solar systems. I appreciated the extra time he spent and the information was invaluable! I also had a chance to meet with Steve, the President of Kasselman, and was so impressed by his leadership, the structure of his company, and the superior products that they use. Brandon was my Project Manager who was always a wealth of information, gave me time frames for phases of the job and always let me know what the next step was or what was needed at any given time. Their team of electricians from Kasselman Electric were excellent and knowledgeable (and neat too, which was a huge bonus), as were the installers that put up the panels in the snow and the wind. Everyone along the way explained EVERYTHING which is so rare, and never dismissed nor ignored any question or concern. The entire process went extremely smooth, with not one bump along the way (again, so rare). In fact, due to a cancellation I was able to get solar installed several weeks ahead of schedule to start saving money. Professional, educated, friendly!!!     As noted in many of the reviews, Kasselman did a great job. Hats off to the young men we meant. Scott Rakowski was our salesperson. Had all the right answers to our questions. Please note, we researched the solar project for nearly two years before going with Kasselman, including the lease option (which I think is a very bad deal). Scott had the answers. I think the selling point was the MADE IN THE USA and the individual micro inverters. One kudo for Kasselman is that everyone show up when they say they will, a real novelty in todays world. Within 5 weeks, we were installed. Our final contact was with Brandon LeFevre (Project Manager), 45 minutes and BAM! we were Solar.
