They always say you get what you pay for. With Bennett Contracting LLC you pay more but the quality of the work is worth every penny. We had two windows replaced and wood rot removed. We also had a semi flat roof redone as well as siding replaced and flash sealed. Bennett has partnerships with other reputable companies and they work together to get everything done right. Star Roofing handled the roof while Bennet handled the windows, siding, and wood rot. We could not be happier with how everything turned out. My wife and I decided to hire Bennett for all future jobs regardless of the cost. You pay more now but end up saving in the long run. You can’t put a price on your peace of mind knowing things will be done the way they are supposed to be. Friendly and considerate service is the icing on the cake. Great job Bennett and team.

When you live in a 100 year old bungalow a lot has been done to your home over the years. When we moved in 20 years ago we had liked the updated kitchen done by prior owners but it was not what we would have picked. Now my time had come to finally create the kitchen I always wanted, so with Bennett’s help we gutted it and created my dream kitchen. Sarah was incredibly helpful with suggestions, especially with quality materials that would last, be durable, look terrific and be timeless. George oversaw the job and David Clark was our master carpenter who did an absolutely amazing job. After David ripped up 4 layers of undesirable prior floors we put down raw White Oak wood boards throughout the entire space which we love and should last many, many years if cared for properly. Bennett carefully evaluated and determined that a wall could be removed and our ceiling elevated. Everything we had done helped open up the space and provide more sunlight. A larger window went in above our sink which lets in more sunlight all day long now. We love the extra natural light we now get here living in the NE. Thanks Bennett for guiding us and for providing your expertise, we highly recommend you to anyone who wants to pour the love into their space/home.

After deciding that I really need to remodel my bathroom, I went to Bennett and am so happy that I did! The whole process went smoothly from the initial consultation with Steve to the design with Sara to the remodeling with Vinnie. We just had a complete kitchen remodel, as well as book shelves installed and some additional work done in our living room. We worked with Sarah at Bennett who did the design work, and it was excellent. Steve Shanholtz was our very responsive project manager, and David was the lead carpenter on the project. His work was expertly done, and his strategic planning skills were phenomenal. Everyone who worked on the project at various points was great. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome. We were kept informed every step of the way and things were completed when we were told they would be. It did take a number of months for the project to start, but supply chain issues were involved. The outcome was well worth the wait. Bennett Contracting is a thoroughly professional company and we will definitely use them again. We have been recommending them to our friends and are happy to do so here as well.

My family was very pleased with our kitchen remodel by Bennett Contracting. Tony C, project manager/estimator was personable, knowledgeable and always accessible. Sarah and Justina, project designers were easy to work with and they made the selection process for materials efficient, enjoyable and stress free.The on-site work was performed expertly by Adam Squires. He exhibited a level of proficiency and knowledge that only comes from many years of experience in construction, remodeling and restoration work. He was especially skilled in anticipating and trouble shooting problems that always occur with any remodeling job. He was unique in having skills across the fields of carpentry, plumbing and electrical work-all required for the kitchen project. He did almost all of the work alone, except for several days of assistance from Tim-who also did an excellent job with dry wall and cabinet installation.

Bennett Contracting Company worked on several projects in our home. Steve assembled a great team of carpenters, plumbers, and electricians. The first project was to add a door between the main house and the apartment. Larry and Chris installed a door that added access to more space. That installation was masterful and allowed us to use that space as our TV/family room. For the kitchen, Sara helped us with her expertise to design a stunning and beautiful new kitchen. She was great at suggesting colors, tiles, countertop materials, faucet, and sink. I felt confident that our vision of our new kitchen was going to be realized. Larry and Chris installed the new flooring, new appliances and the new kitchen cabinets. They are truly artisans. They added details that made the project more special and stunning. They were very responsive to our needs and answered questions regarding the project. Larry and Chris completed the vision we had for our new kitchen. But even then, we were not expecting how beautiful the new kitchen looked when the project was done. I highly recommend them. We decided to add another project for Bennett Contracting Company, and we are looking forward to have Larry and Chris working on that project.

This is the third time contracting with Bennett. All of have very successful. This last time we had many skylights replaced. (As you can see, we love skylights!) All work was done professionally and courteously. Nice clean workmanship and the crew ( Dave B, Art P, Cody L) were great to work with. If the need arises again, I would not hesitate contracting them.

I used Bennett Contracting, LLC to transform my 1960 childhood home into 2021. I cannot say enough good things about EJ, Sarah, Jason, Chris A, Chris H and Bob P. They moved walls, installed floors, sanded and refinished wood floors, replaced all the trim and doors, designed and built a state of the art new kitchen with an open concept and completely renovated a full bath and half bath, updated the plumbing in the basement, all during a pandemic.The crew was so professional and easy to deal with. The pride that they showed in their work was evident when I visited and they would stop what they were doing to show me all the progress. I found their suggestions always had my best interest at heart. Any issues I had, were always addressed with a smile and sure, well do that! I could not be happier with how that house turned out. The attention to detail is stunning. Thank you EJ, our project manager, for guiding us through this process so effortlessly. Thank you, Sarah for all the design expertise, it is gorgeous! It has been such a joy to work with Bennett Contracting. My plan was to facelift my kitchen, add a pantry, add a kitchen island, build an addition, and add in a bathroom with a shower. I had always heard the nightmare stories of getting a renovation done, and I was nervous to say the least when it at all started given the enormity of the job. However, my preconceived notions could not have been further from the truth. This team was respectful, competent, personable, communicative, and an overall joy to work with from the start of contracting to the design team to the actual work. Each person on the job went out of their way to make sure that all the little details were finished, and it was evident that they took exceptional pride in their work. My foreman, Todd Schultz, went above and beyond to make the renovation cohesive and sustainable. He encouraged me to voice my opinions to make sure that everything was to my expectations. He was able to pivot easily if I wanted to make a change. I also have health issues and was concerned about COVID19 and the level of dust in the house, and they did everything imaginable to make it as safe for me as possible. I cannot give enough praise about this contracting company and my team: Anthony, Justina, Todd, Tony, Andrew, and Travis I would use them again in a heartbeat, and I cannot believe that my dream kitchen is now a reality!

While Bennett has worked with our family on past projects, this was our first experience with them on our own project. They constructed a 2nd bathroom for us from an existing closet. We worked with Tony C and Justina during the design process and they were able to create a very unique space out of the odd shaped closet that they had to work with. They were flexible on materials, took into account our specific desires and worked through the construction loan process every step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with their sales and design team and in the end, we are enjoying our gorgeous bathroom and all its many details. Within the same project scope, they upgraded our electric service to the house as it was old, and as a courtesy, slid that part of the project in earlier than scheduled so that we could have our AC unit working for the summer heat. This was not necessary for them to accommodate us in this way, but it made us feel considered and accommodated considering the lead time on building materials with this current market.The bathroom details would not have come to fruition without our Lead Installer, Adam Squires. Adam communicated regularly via text and phone, during the 6 weeks that the bathroom took to construct, asked our opinions regularly and in advance to give us time for input before construction and thought ahead of our instincts to make sure that we had a more than satisfactory finished product. He arranged for the soft closing hinge on the pocket door (knowing we wouldn’t want it to slam), took the time to experiment with the the stain color of the shelf trim to make sure it was exactly as we envisioned and added the motion sensor dimming switch for the accent light to make the normal lighting not so severe at night. These details accentuated his excellent all around workmanship from the planning of the rough plumbing, electrical, coordination with the plumber and electrician to the sheet rocking, tile installation, finish carpentry and painting.Our bathroom is beautiful and we can’t wait to do our next project with Bennett.

We wanted to replace an old sliding door that had tons of air leaks with a swing patio door. Anthony the estimator was friendly and knowledgeable and Bennetts quote was the best value for money. The day of the install Cam and Aaron arrived early, outlined the project for me, and got started. They too were friendly and professional, even working through lunch.The end product looks and operates great. Im very happy with the ProVia door and the warranty that comes with it. The whole experience from start to finish was painless and transparent, no pun intended. My experience was that this company does the little things (e.g. cleaning up after the job) and big things (actual install) well. Definitely recommend.

I needed my porch renovated and made into a 3 season room. I am thrilled with how it turned out. Tony made sure he understood what I wanted and brought Kyle to explain the technical considerations. Kyle and Sam both discussed issues that cropped up as the remodel moved forward, eg. footings that were inadequate and stairs that didn’t meet code. I made a few alterations which were discussed with Kyle and Sam. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I expect to spend many days and evenings on this porch. Before during and after pictures unfortunately Kyle was camera shy. Great job

Fortunately Bennett was more reliable than I am with reviews. I am more than pleased with this company, right from the estimator Anthony, the head contractor Chris and his assistant Andrew to each person I came in contact with. Basically Bennett built a house on a house. I added a second floor with three bedrooms and a bath which included skylights and a fireplace. The professionalism and quality of work was incredible. They made sure things were done as I wanted and offered suggestions about things that I hadnt thought of. There were no delays due to weather, vacations or illness. The work was completed in the time frame that was given to me on the contract. I cant say enough good things about this company......and you get what you pay for!!!! Thank you

We just had the outside of our home with siding windows and doors it looks beautiful I had picked a different color which became unavailable we were disappointed but Steve and Brian actually were able to get a different color Pacific blue which was so much better then what we originally picked all your workers were very good at what they do any little problem that came up was quickly remedied with the white trim and burgundy doors and black shutters it looks like a brand new house we would highly recommend Bennett in the future thanks again a job well done! Bill and Patty Daigneault the house is the best looking one on the block!

I had Tony S. at our house about a year ago to install a Stainless Steel Farmhouse sink. He was very Professional and did a great job for us. So naturally when we had a serious leak with our toilet, I texted Tony and asked if he could come out and take care of it. First, we heard back within an hour. Second, he was kind enough to fit us on his schedule and come out within a few days. He found multiple issues and installed a new one with no issues. We were so pleased with his work this second time we decided to have our shower faucet and assembly replaced. We expected the worst since there was no access from behind the bathroom wall. He made a oversized hole and used a special cover plate to fix what otherwise would have been to take out part of the shower with a huge amount of repair left for us. This turned out to be the best thing we have had done so far. If you need a great plumber for non-emergency work, you cant go wrong with this guy.Many thanks again for having such great people.

Our porch remodel was our third project with Bennett. For this project, Adam Squires led a wonderful team who did a great job communicating, were available for questions, were conscientious about leaving the area cleaned up, and most importantly doing beautiful work. The photos don’t do it justice, but the cedar ceilings are beautifully done, and the room well constructed. We expected this to be a 3-season porch, but it’s so we’ll built we’ve been enjoying it all winter. I can’t recommend Adam (and Kyle and Sam) highly enough.

We couldn’t be happier with Bennett Contracting, specifically our project manager Tony Cicchino and our lead-tradesman Adam Squires. We have a 1927 Colonial house and in the process of renovation we found out that the sill plate in the front of the house needed extensive repair, and we decided to build a new vestibule for the front. We needed to hire a new firm that is capable of the repair and also able to build an extension that blends in with the rest of the house. Tony Cicchino came for assessment, and he was very sober and clear eyed about the situation. His quote was not the lowest, but his calm and intelligent approach helped us choose Bennett. The work is in now finished, and we feel like we made the best possible choice!Tony took care of every part of planning needed for the project. He facilitated the design process by arranging the architect, coming up with ideas that fit the look of neighborhood and the general architecture of the house, and handling the permitting process. He was very capable in helping us choose materials and in making design decisions so that the project fit our budget. He even helped us find other contractors to help with unrelated issues, like a gutter issue that we have been having. Just before the project started, we had a problem with our kitchen ceiling and Tony helped us with the resolution of this even as it was not a part of the project we hired him for. He is a very intelligent, hard working and helpful person. I trust him completely.After the design process, Adam Squires took over the project as the lead-tradesman. Adam and his crew, Cody and Sam, were very professional and detail oriented. Adam first repaired the whole sill plate in the gentlest way possible. He went above and beyond in making sure that the new vestibule’s design details blended in with the rest of the house. He actually added a period-appropriate eyebrow-overhang that was not in the original plans, and I love the way it looks. Adam and Cody replaced an old door as well. The original door was a custom sized one, and Adam and Cody put a lot of work in building a new frame that blends in with the other frames in the room. Adam has a great eye for detail and design. His carpentry skills are impeccable. He has a very strong work ethic and he is very easy to communicate with. I can say that he has been more perfectionist than us about getting everything just right.Installing heating in our new vestibule showed itself to be problem, because the vestibule was a small area and losing usage of one of the walls to install baseboard heating would limit the usefulness of the whole project. Our electrician Bob Picard came up with a great idea that maximizes the usable space in the vestibule, he installed a smart heater on the wall that takes little space and that we can program. He also took into consideration all our preferences in terms of outlet placement.Adam, Bob, Cody and Sam have been a delight to have around. Usually remodeling is stressful, and it intervenes with daily routines. We have had Adam and Cody daily for almost 4 weeks and Sam came to help from time to time, I can happily say that their work did not intervene with our daily life. They have always been very cordial and professional. And, they cleaned up the work area after every day, left it tidy.We hope that we get the same team for our future projects.Many thanks Bennett!

We gutted and remodeled our bathroom. Bennett employee John did an awesome job. He paid attention to details and made sure it was done right (behind the walls and with the finished furnishings). He was always on time and treated our home with care, making sure to protect our stairs and wood floors before beginning the work each day and cleaning up at the end of the day. when it was done it felt like we were in a fancy hotel bathroom. we couldnt be happier.

We had a great experience with Bennett - from planning with Tony and Sarah to all of the manual labor with our lead carpenter Adam Squires. Adam removed an old deck, added a brand new one doubling the size with new railings then gutted and remodeled my parents old bathroom adding a new sink, walk in shower, cabinets and tiling. He was very knowledgeable and had impeccable insight to detail in all the small notes. He also was very warm and friendly to my parents who were put at ease from day one with working with him. And the ultimate comment from my father who was a working plumber for years in that he said he was one of the best he had ever seen in terms of detail and workmanship. We would definitely work with Adam and Bennett again for any future project - highly recommended!

Given that Google will not allow me to leave multiple reviews for this business for all of the work we have had them do, I will periodically update this review to reflect my experiences.- In 2021 we first hired Bennett Contracting to remove two knee walls, replace flooring, add electrical sockets, route home theater audio cables, and add trim to closet interiors that were needed in our house. Anthony was prompt and accurate with quoting and Todd did the work in such a way that it all looked as though it was part of the original construction. We were very pleased with the timeliness and quality of the work and decided at that point that we would hire them again for future jobs.- In 2022 we hired Bennett Contracting to convert a patio space into a sun room. That room is now the nicest space in our home. Anthony, as project manager, is prompt with quoting and responsive to questions (in spite of supply chain constraints beyond his control). Todd, a master carpenter, is always prompt, courteous, and intentional with his work. He goes out of his way to maximize quality and ensure customer satisfaction. This is the second job we have hired Bennett for and we will be using Bennett and requesting Todd for future work.- In late 2022, we had the same team from Bennett (Anthony and Todd) assist with refinishing three sets of stairs that were built with bare pine. Todd’s attention to detail ensures that the work looks as though it was original to the home and is assembled so it will stand up to abuse.- Most recently, we added a kitchen island to our home. Again, Todd’s work created a finished product that exceeded our expectations. No detail was overlooked and the construction looks as though it was an original part of the home. As our needs evolve, we will continue to hire them and recommend them to others.

Having our entire kitchen remodeled (and a very key structural beam put in) was something I was excited about, but also dreading the disruption to our home and our life. Bennett made the process painless (or as close as you can get with a major remodel!). The entire team was helpful and professional. Working with EJ to get an estimate and figure out what we wanted (and what was actually feasible for us) went great. Justina was so helpful with all the design elements and everything turned out beautifully when all put together. Jason was our main contractor and he was a pleasure to work with. Ryan also did quite a bit of work here as well. They were both polite and respectful of our home. Jason always kept us in the loop about what was going on and cleaned up at the end of each day. We originally called Bennett Contracting to install new windows and ended up also having a front porch added to our house. The window install was done professionally and neatly and they are beautiful. We worked with Steve D. on the size and design of the porch and he was fantastic to work with. We were a little concerned about changing the look and character of the house and weren’t sure what to expect. The porch is now done and we are very happy. They have exceeded our expectations in every way. The carpenters/crew paid attention to every detail, they used quality materials, added little design touches, cleaned up every piece of scrap, and showed up every day. Bennett recently completed a second remodeling job in our home. Like the first one, they did a superb job. What we now know from our experiences and from others we know who have used them, is that they hire people who are extremely qualified. They know their stuff and dont leave until they and you are 100 % satisfied. From the project manager, Tony, to the carpenters Josh and Toby, to the electrician, Bob, they made our family room where we spend a lot of time, look like it was built anew. They also clean up each day, cart away any debris and dont use dumpsters. Oh yea, a bonus is that they are nice and courteous people who seem to really enjoy working for the company. High standards. Clearly would recommend.

They are very friendly and approachable when talking about your project, particularly if you dont really understand much. We hired Bennett to completely gut and remodel our kitchen. Their quote was competitive with other companies and we did not run into “extra charges” like many companies add on (especially for such a large project).I truly think we had a power team of EJ, Justine, and Joe. EJ was our project manager and VERY responsive for any questions we had. It is obvious he takes his job very serious and truly cares about the customer (which is often hard to find in the contract world). Justine was our designer and created a gorgeous plan. She always gave great advice when we were indecisive about some of the fine details. And lastly but definitely not least was Joe. Joe was hands down the best contractor we have ever had. He was very professional, clean, and had great attention to detail. We never felt that he was rushing or cutting corners to get to the next job. At the same time we were doing our kitchen, we also had numerous outdoor contractors working on another major project ... and Joe blew them out of the water in terms of his work and dedication. I wouldn’t want anyone else in the future except Joe - he was phenomenal.Thank you Bennett for giving us our dream kitchen and being so professional along the way!

First , let me say that this company is a pleasure to deal with. We have had front and rear doors replaced, kitchen cabinets moved to accommodate a larger fridge and now a new stainless drop in sink.this time our installer was Tony ( now to be our go to plumber) who was absolutely a pleasure to meet and have at our home.He was not only very considerate of our needs but kept me informed during the installation, to the very end of the job. He represents what a true craftsman should be and the type of talent Bennett has on staff.My wife and I couldnt be more pleased with our new sink..........

We had all of our windows replaced 5 years ago by Bennett. One of the windows developed a stress crack. When I called to ask about a replacement, Joe Henagan ordered it without question.When the window was received Jim scheduled an installation appointment immediately and window was replaced perfectly.We have used Bennett for refurbishing 3 bathrooms and our windows. Team has consistently been extremely professional, expert and responsive. We highly recommend the Bennett team.

We have had numerous windows (almost all the ones in our house) replaced by Bennett over the years. The company also did some more-involved construction that involved building a dormer and installing its windows. We have been happy with the quality of all the work.We recently sought a bid from Bennett on a new job. In the process, we showed the Bennett rep (Tony) some hardware from a previous job (8-10 years ago) that we felt could have been better. He saw our point, and offered to provide improved hardware to make sure we were satisfied. Sure enough, a few weeks later we received a small package in the mail from Tony, containing the new hardware. I easily installed it today.In my experience, this company goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

The team at Bennett Contracting provided structural repairs at our home and we are very happy with their services. Our Project Manager was Steve, who worked with us and our engineer to generate a proposal for the work that needed to be done. Our team on the ground was headed by Dave and Arthur, whose work was top-notch. If we have the need for a contractor’s services again, we would definitely request them specifically. Before our contract was drawn up and work began, Steve, Dave and Arthur came to our home (great idea, Steve!) and we all had a phone conversation with our engineer as we reviewed the needed work. This really helped to increase our comfort level with what seemed like a daunting undertaking. Throughout the job, our team maintained good communication with us, our engineer, contractors providing other services and our insurance company. The quality of work was outstanding. It was also performed efficiently under difficult conditions, on days when the temperature was in the 90s and the temperature in our attic was far higher than that. When our job was completed and we found a little hidden corner that needed some finishing and trim, Larry came out and did the work that same day. We would definitely recommend the services of Bennett contracting.

We used Bennett for a punch list of indoor projects from installing a medicine cabinet to miscellaneous finish carpentry to drywall, light electrical and painting. They also widened our garage door which involved removing and reinstalling stone face after replacing the header and coordinating the installation of the new garage door. Tony, our estimator and project manager, did a fantastic job in helping us plan and budget. All the guys on the job: Kyle, Josh and Travis were great! Quality workmanship, efficiently executed represented tremendous value. The job site was always kept neat and tidy. We are already planning our next project. We would highly recommend Bennett without reservation for any and all home improvement projects.

We just did another remodel with Bennett Contracting, and were still thrilled with their work. Adam Squires was our onsite contractor and did a gorgeous job remodeling our bathroom - beautiful tile work, very responsive to updates and changes, kept house clean and work contained, and was professional and pleasant to speak with. Were thrilled with the final result. As a side note, you get what you pay for with contractors, and weve always been beyond satisfied with the responsiveness of Bennett for all our renovations - Adam even fixed an issue that had developed after a previous project while he was onsite for this job! Theres no one else wed want working on our home.

Update 4/11/2022:We used Bennett again because they were so great the first time. We were not disappointed. We needed a set of outdoor stairs replaced, removed two storm doors, and replaced them with two storm doors and interior doors. Tony, who took initial measurements and managed communications throughout, was the only person from our first experience that we worked with again; he was really good then, and hes still got it. He listens closely to the needs of the project, and is very thorough in explaining an estimate. We tried out a couple of different options on paper before we had a signed contract last fall, and I appreciate his time in this process.We were told wed be looking at an end of spring timeframe, so end of May or early June-ish. Tony reached out to say he had the manpower and materials ready early, and offered to do the job early -- we were excited to accept. Josh, Toby and Rudy showed up well within the promised time frame on Monday last week. They had everything they needed, including permits, and got to work. Josh was in charge, and kept me updated every day with what had been done, and the plan for the following day. Toby and Rudy, younger guys, were equally professional and polite. The job took three and a half days, and they handed me door keys last Thursday.We all have heard the old adage, good, fast or cheap, pick two. I feel Bennett picks good twice. They book out a little longer than Id wish, and Im sure I could save a small amount if I shopped around, but everyone at Bennett shows up when theyre supposed to, maintains great communication and is professional. They use quality materials, and the job is done right the first time. Its so easy working with them.We will be using Bennett again for our next project.----------------My wife and I used Bennett Contracting to redo our entire main bathroom. As this was our first major home renovation, we didnt know what to expect, as weve heard horror stories of contractors that were terrible for one reason or another. From initial contact with Josh, through the estimate and regular communication from Tony, assistance with design from Justina, and to the actual labor from Mark, Sammy and Bob, everyone from Bennett was professional, courteous, and pleasant to work with. Our bathroom looks better than my wife and I had originally imagined it, and costs were clearly outlined ahead of any work, so there were no surprises.The most striking thing about working with the team at Bennett was when Mark showed up on day one of demolition (bright and early, by the way), and let us know that he was happy to work for Bennett. It sounds like they treat their employees well, and thats a big part of why their crew works so hard and so well at what they do. Although Mark (who did the bulk of the work) was phenomenal, I get the feeling that the rest of the crew takes pride in their craft as well. I will definitely be using Bennett Contracting again for future projects for years to come.

A happy customer! We recently had windows replaced on the front of the house. One area of the house was a large(r) picture window with double-hungs on each side. Not an easy replacement for sure. I had a comfort level from the start when George (Senior Estimator/PM) came to the house to discuss options and estimate. I was on-board with the process and the products to be provided including Provia windows and pre-finished jamb extensions (and casing). The team that showed up to perform the work was top-notch and Id like to thank Josh and Cam for all their hard work. Josh and Cam were professional, courteous, and very detail-oriented. They didnt mind any questions that I had for them and encouraged me to ask as they wanted to make sure the customer was happy. Josh and Cam were very well-versed in the products/windows that were installed and very experienced in their work and methods. Got my windows done last December and couldn’t be happier. Windows snugged the place up and they look great. I’m new to the area and did quite a bit of homework gathering estimates and recommendations before choosing Bennett. They came highly recommended from a few folks at work and on Nextdoor. The estimator laid out the range of window options and helped guide me to the best fit for my budget and goals (balance of nice clean look, comfort and price/value). Price and warranty were unmatched. Timelines were clearly communicated and executed. Our carpenters, Moose and Bobby, were excellent craftsman. We had a very good experience. Anthony Mulligan started the process off right by being knowledgeable and very friendly.Todd was top notch when repairing our upper and lower porches and installing an exterior back door. He was always professional, on time, kept a clean worksite, and answered all our questions.They arent the cheapest company but they dont take your money and never show up, or leave halfway through the job, or complete it so poorly that you have to call another company to fix it.You get what you pay for and we got Todd who was dependable, skilled and happy to be on the job. Now we have beautiful new porches and a new back door. But most of all, we have peace of mind.

Leland and his crew were terrific. Probably the most pleasant experience we have ever had with contractors. They changed siding, which involved a few fixes like replacing a beam, installing support post, etc. Two things stand out. First, the quality of work is outstanding. These guys pay attention to details and make sure that everything is done right. Second, they respect your property. Every day everything was meticulously cleaned up. They would even blow the leaves off our front yard (the work was done in October-November). I would certainly consider Bennet for our next home improvement project.

We hired Bennett Contracting to replace our second story deck and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product! When we watched them tear down our old deck we were shocked how poorly built it was. This was contrasted starkly by the way the crew from Bennett built. They cut no corners and built us a fortress of a deck! I didn’t realize just how much was included in their estimate until I saw the quality of their work. Their price was a steal when you think of how much more work and materials went into our new deck compared to our old one! As a note for anyone currently shopping for a contractor, I hired Bennett just before the COVID lockdown and experienced some serious delays between social distancing orders and supply back orders. It’s definitely tough right now to get a big project like ours done, but Bennett didn’t forget about us and they ended up being worth the wait. So, I definitely suggest being patient and picking someone who will do the project right!

Our kitchen has been transformed from a 1980s one to a beautiful, up to date 21st century version. Tony and Justina were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient as we planned the project. Heath, our master craftsman, did an amazing job- he widened a door opening, completely changed the kitchen footprint, took out a closet, sheet-rocked, painted, installed our new floor and lighting.. the list goes on and on. He was always on time and so very respectful of us. We can not say enough about how pleased we are with the process and results and recommend Bennett Contracting 100%.

We are absolutely delighted with the job Bennett did for us which involved: gutting an upstairs bathroom, replacing wallpaper with paint, which required new drywall, redoing the electrical wiring so we had an additional outlet, removing the old bathtub, redoing the plumbing, installing a new walk in shower with tiled walls and sliding glass door, new shower-head and grab bars, a tiled alcove shelf, ripping out the old vanity and replacing it with a new one, new mirrored bathroom cabinet, new tiled floors, painting, new lighting, new fixtures and more. Every stitch of the job was done with extreme professionalism and courtesy and alacrity by Adam Squires, who is a one man miracle maker. He consulted with us every step of the way, offered advice when we needed it, and had an eye for design to boot. We give our highest possible recommendation for the company and Adam.Tony and Sarah were also wonderful. They listened, and turned our dream into reality. Sarahs suggestions for design were invaluable.

Cant say enough good things about Bennetts work so far. Had them install slider, paint and put new flooring in my sunroom, and the place is transformed. Josh and Perry, who did the door were professional and quick. Jesus, who did the painting and installation of new luxury vinyl plank floor, is great. Showed up early, worked hard all day, was always ready and willing to answer questions or work with us on whatever we needed. Looking forward to him and the Bennett team replacing my wood deck with Trex this spring. Should also give huge shoutout to Steve Shanholtz, my project manager, who is great to deal with, responds quickly and has excellent recommendations. Highly recommend.

I have used many different contractors over the years for minor repairs and installations to complete custom house construction and have experienced first hand the unexpected problems that can occur in this field. Having someone who is knowledgable and reliable to deal with these events means everything in my opinion. Steve (Bennetts project manager) and his crew were exceptional in their handling of a recent shower renovation in a master bathroom. Steve made timely and regular contact throughout the process from initial estimate to final cleanup and made it a much smoother and less stressful experience than it might have been. First, the install date was moved up from April 22 to December 21 and that put it in the midst of an already busy time. Second, he helped manage the inevitable problems with supplies, job crews and house disruptions with great professionalism and skill. He has a great crew working for him. I would recommend Bennett Contraction for future jobs. They are worth the price.

Recently Bennett Contracting remodeled our pressure treated wood deck. The project was done by Josh and Toby. They took off all the original deck surface which included a couple of benches and a planter and carted it away. They then reinforced the deck substructure where needed and replaced a post that had rotted over the years. Then the new Trex deck surface was laid and two new steps were constructed. The finishing touch was a white metal railing. Throughout the project Josh and Toby explained what they were doing and answered any questions we had. Every night the worksite was cleaned up and they let us know when they would be coming the next day. The project was completed in less than two weeks and done to our total satisfaction. If we need another project done at our house, we would not hesitate to have Josh and Toby of Bennett Contracting carry it out.

Nick B. closed off two walls and installed an interior apartment door to make an in-law suite in our home. He kept us informed on progress throughout each day, and always left the area clean and safe for our kids. He answered questions thoroughly, and wore a covid mask at all times. The workmanship was great, and we are so happy with the job. The door is hung perfectly, and you would never be able to tell that the changes were not part of the original design. Would hire again.

Initially, we met with project manager, Tony Cicchino and project designer Sarah McDonald . We had more meetings and planning with Sarah . We found her pleasant to work with and she had ideas without being pushy. When it was time to select appliances and flooring, she met us at those business locations and together we met with the sales staff. Besides emails, we met with Sarah about 4 times at our home and her office. We enjoyed working with her and benefitting from her experience, Our only other contact with Tony was an issue with a cabinet with a lazy susan that that was resolved with a lowering of cost to remedy the the issue. Once the work began, the primary installer was Adam Squires.Adam was on site for about 6 weeks. He was at our house most days, at least 8 hours, sometimes more. Adam was a hard worker with quality skills and an eye for detail. He worked alone a majority of the days, unless an assist from a man named David, who helped with the painting and wall paper removal. We are retired, so my wife and I were home most days and we found him easy to be around while he worked. Adam kept the work area clean, which we appreciated. When we had questions or concerns, Adam was happy to discuss and sometimes offered alternative suggestions. This is the second time we have used Bennett Contracting. Overall, we were pleased with the renovation and recommend them highly.

My wife and I contracted Bennett to replace a tile floor and outdated lighting throughout our home. They sent Adam Squires to do the work, and we were very impressed with both the quality of the work and the timelines that he maintained. He communicated clearly with us every day regarding when he would be there, and what he would accomplish each day. He was always on time, and completed each milestone when he said he would. He also took the time to lay out drop cloths along the flow paths where he needed access and set up plastic barriers in the right places to keep any mess contained to the area where he was working. He also went above and beyond in looking at our entry way awning and pointing out a pretty serious issue that existed before we moved in, and didn’t turn up in our inspection, saving us money in the long run by dealing with the problem before it caused a much bigger issue. By the time he left, we didn’t need to do any extra sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning, etc. Adam left our home as clean, and maybe even cleaner than when he first arrived.When we have additional projects in our home, we will certainly be calling Bennett again, and we will ask for Adam Squires by name. We have never had a more pleasant experience with any contractor to date.

Recently I needed emergency repair of my severely damaged living room ceiling (due to a sudden water pipe leak) and Bennett Contracting Company came to my rescue. From my first contact with EJ at the office service department to Jeff, the contractor who completed the work, every contact was highly professional and dedicated to providing quality service. Jeff did an outstanding job. He arrived on time, had an array of the proper materials and tools to do the job, worked carefully and efficiently to preserve the wallpaper, removed a propeller fan in order to do a thorough job (reinstalling it at the end of the project), and had a an impressive eye for detail. He also tested the paint for lead, deep cleaned my rug, and completely removed any debris, cleaning thoroughly. And, he was respectful and very pleasant to work with throughout the project and answered any questions I had, including giving some ideas for a closet renovation Im planning. I highly recommend Bennett Contracting for highly professional and skilled workmanship and dedicated service.

We have been extremely happy with Bennett Contracting. They put in 9 replacement windows for us over a year ago. Their responsiveness, honesty and professionalism have been exceptional. The estimate, the work, and response to questions have always been top notch. Jeff, came recently to repair one window which was not working quite correctly. He checked all of the windows and was very thorough. Additionally, we had some handyman work done (different department). This work was, also, good. The handyman department is a little more expensive as we had plumbing , electrical and other work done. It adds up, but having specialists come in and do each of these jobs would have been more expensive. Last of all we had an estimate for some work we decided we couldnt afford. Still, Bennett gave us good advice and a fair price.

We couldn’t have asked for a better team for our kitchen and powder room. Steve did a great job project managing and keeping tabs on the budget. Justina was a perfect match for us. She fully saw our vision and guided us to exactly the design we had in mind. There were so many times she talked us off the ledge when we were having second thoughts about our choices, but she talked us down, reassured us that it was going to look fabulous, and she couldn’t have been more right! Tony went above and beyond every day he was at our house; there is nothing he can’t do. He always explained everything to us thoroughly and in a way that we can understand. He was incredibly helpful and kind even when we had questions for him outside of work hours. Tom is truly an artist. His attention to detail is so impressive (especially, with a 100 year old + home) and he executed every request we had. My kitchen went from small, dark and cramped, to open, bright and beautiful. The process of working with Sarah and EJ to come up with the floor plan and design was fun. And the work, which was primarily completed by Joe, is simply beautiful. Joe kept a tidy job site and was a consummate professional. A few years ago we had Bennett replace all of our windows. The crew worked diligently to repair water damaged frames and sills before installing new windows, and did the job quickly and cleanly. Years later (and outside our original warranty date) when we noticed some ant activity in one of the windows we called Bennett again. They came promptly, identified the problem, repaired the window frame and even got rid of the ants for us! All at a reduced price because they couldnt be sure their work from all those years earlier hadnt contributed somehow to the issue. I never asked for a discount or suggested it was their responsibility. Ants are ants and find their way in sometimes in spite of best efforts! But Bennett chose to go the extra mile for us. I dont know any contractor that would be that honest and work with a client to resolve an issue like ours at their own expense! We were fans of Bennett before - but now were telling all our neighbors and friends that theyre the company to use for any and all renovations or repairs! Way to go Bennett!

I have tried many contractors over the years and in every case, Ive been disappointed and ripped off. Id heard good things about Bennett Contracting but for whatever reason, never called them. My daughter used them for window replacement and just raved about their quality of work and professionalism. I gave them a call to replace an old bow window, install a front storm door and repair some siding that had come off during a harsh winter 2 years ago. Bennet was the ONLY contractor that called me back, gave me a reasonable estimate and did the job in a reasonable amount of time. Now, I know a lot of reviews speak of their high prices. They also installed a replacement sliding door that looks great, and trimmed it out perfectly. We could not have been happier with the work performed replacing our kitchen and dining room, also adding an upstairs laundry room to our 1960’s ranch house. The entire process from design to finished product was a pleasure and the results are simply stunning. The design team worked with us to come up with a general concept and was able to transform it into a vision even better than what was pictured. The construction team came in each day with a plan and was incredibly flexible in making adjustments to fit the overall plan into the actual footprint of our house. The process was enjoyable throughout, watching our house transform each day, and when completed looking as good as if the house had just been built. The team was also able to repair some old construction issues that used to leave us with freezing pipes, bringing everything into the heated part of the house to prevent future issues. I would highly recommend all that worked with us including EJ, Sarah, Jason, Joe, and Chris, as all are top notch and were incredibly responsive throughout the project. My only wish is we had done it sooner.

I had Bennett replace my storm boors with the same model that I had them install 14 years ago. Even tho they now suggested a different brand I insisted they use the same Anderson storm doors with self-storing screens and locking levered handles that I had been so happy with in the past. Unfortunately, one of the locks was defective and Anderson was extremely difficult to deal with, but Bennett repeatedly returned until the issue was resolved. I would strongly recommend Bennett and I still love my doors in spite of this issue!

They were all very friendly, courteous, and thorough. Every day they cleaned everything up before we returned home from work as if they were never there. Leland and his crew did an excellent job installing new siding on our house and sealing our windows with new flashing and tape to correct a chronic leaking problem. They were always prompt, friendly, courteous and professional. They communicated well on all aspects of the job and addressed any concerns we had. They suggested a number of nice touches that improved the appearance of the final project and went beyond what we expected them to do. They cleaned up after themselves every day. All-in-all the completed project was first rate and we would recommend their work to anyone.We can only give five stars, but if we could give ten stars we certainly would.

We recently had a second project completed by Bennett (installation of another bathroom). We were pleased with the outcome of the first project (see comment below) and delighted with the results of the second. They have earned a high rating based on the quality of work and the professionalism of the staff. The work orders were clear and each workday started with a summary of anticipated activities to be completed that day. There were a few interruptions that were outside of Bennett’s control (delay from the manufacturer in shipping fixtures and an unexpected drain issue). However, Bennett’s team worked through these issues for a successful project completion. Superior workmanship in all the trades. We trust them 100%. We’ve employed them 3 times in the last two years and would not hesitate to bring them into our home again. It’s rare to have a contractor work in your home and not feel stressed. We hardly know they are there. They are problem solvers too. Two of our jobs involved professional evaluation. In one instance we employed Bennett to solve our problem of freezing pipes in the winter, in our new construction home. The builder made several attempts to solve the problem to no avail. Bennett came in to physically evaluate the problem. Then they met with other Bennett team members and developed a well thought out 3 step solution.Bennett came highly recommended by a friend and also a neighbor. We are so pleased to have a contractor we can turn to when needed.

My husband and I hired Bennett Contracting to remodel our full and half bathroom. We bought an older home in Delmar and our bathroom left us without a tub with a baby on the way! During our initial walk through Kevin was very knowledgeable and professional and really listened to what we were hoping to accomplish with our projects. An accurate quote was provided and any questions we had were answered promptly. Justina accompanied us to pick out the design elements of our bathrooms and helped make the overwhelming choices very easy! Our head contractor was Joel and we were so happy with his work. Joel went above and beyond with how clean he kept his workspace and our home during the project. I was very concerned with paint fumes, dust, etc. while pregnant but Joel took every precaution. He worked efficiently and my husband and I were in awe of his attention to detail, especially with our floor and wall tiling. We absolutely love our new bathrooms (and the baby is happy to have her tub!) and we cannot wait to bring Bennett Contracting back into our home to remodel our kitchen.

We recently contracted Bennett to build a new front vestibule for our 1920s colonial house. We had never worked with Bennet before, and the previous renovation we did on the house was a very challenging experience. For this project with Bennett, not only was the whole process enjoyable in every aspect, the final finished work went way beyond our expectations. It made the house look a lot more beautiful from the outside, and a whole lot more functional inside. I have very little doubt that this was possible only because of the highly skilled team from Bennett who worked on the project, with Tony Cicchino as the project manager, Adam Squires as the lead-tradesman, who did the work together with Cody and Sam, and Bob Picard who did the electrical work.Tony Cicchino was an excellent project manager from the start to finish. He coordinated the whole process – facilitated our conversations with the architect, took care of the permits, worked with us to choose doors, flooring and other materials, and developed a detailed scope of work. He gave us all the flexibility to make selections in things that were important for us, but was happy to take care of all the rest. We did many iterations with him, altering the size, materials and plans until we hit on the one that was right for us. He patiently worked with us through all our iterations to arrive at a final scope of work. He accommodated all possible requests we had, and made his own suggestions on many things, all of which turned out to be prescient.Adam Squires led the building of the new addition to our house. Adam’s skills are phenomenal, and he had very well thought out solutions to all the problems we faced in the project. Adam first replaced the sill plate in the front of the house, which needed replacement because of water damage. He did a thorough and careful job, which was reassuring for us. He then shifted gears to construct the new vestibule. Adding something to the front and center of the house changes the whole look of the house, and Adam took care to ensure that the addition fit in well with rest of the neighborhood, as well with the architectural features of the time that the house was built (1927). After Adam finished the work, not only did we have a beautiful new vestibule, but the front of the house looked very organized, with each outlet, socket and everything else looking just right. Not only did Adam go above and beyond what was required in every aspect of the job, he was also very happy to explain what he was doing at every point during the project. He also pointed out a few things to me that I should fix in the house that I could do on my own, and was happy to provide instructions on how to do it. Talking with Adam Squires through the course of the project was a good learning experience for me, which speaks not only to his talent and skills but also to his affable personality, somebody who is happy to take the time to explain and clarify.Cody worked on the project with Adam for the whole duration (over 4 weeks), on the foundation, framing, roofing, siding and flooring for the new addition, as well as on repairs to the frame on another section of the house. Sam worked on the project during the initial part, and we found both Cody and Sam to be a pleasure to work with. They were very attuned to our needs as the work proceeded, and made the whole process very easy for us. The placing of the heater in our new addition would have taken a good amount of space and put some constraints on what furniture we could place, but Bob Picard solved our problems with a strategically positioned cool new heater. Finally, at the end of work each day, they took the time to clean up the work area, and left everything clean and tidy.We were very satisfied with every aspect of the project, and would choose Bennett for all our future projects. The new addition that Bennet completed was done to perfection, so much so that we are increasingly feeling the need to remodel the other parts of the house to keep up with the new addition!

Jeff B. and Tony S. just completed home repair of both garage and basement leaks, the latter occurring 14 hours before I was supposed to travel internationally. Needless to say I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Perhaps what I most valued...Already fixing my garage, Jeff stepped up without my asking to offer him and Tony to monitor and fix the basement in my absence. Was an immediate relief. With both repairs, they were totally professional--responsive to all questions and otherwise communicated well, timely and thorough, and cleaned up each day. I know almost nothing about house repairs etc., and they made what was for me a stressful situation go as easy as it could possibly go. I thank them both. Ive previously used Bennett for smaller projects, and went directly to them for this situation, no shopping around, as I knew I could trust the quality of their work. While costs may be a bit higher, the comfort of knowing the situation will be properly fixed with minimal time on my part made my decision easy.

Update: We were so pleased with the work done that we had Bennet, (Chris, Larry and Steve) do the other bathroom. Again the work was done professionally and the final product is no less than perfect. Our house was built in 1890 and over the years owners did “interesting” things and they were able to not only build but came up with creative solutions to make everything perfect.AND we had more work done. They managed to save and restore the hardwood floors upstairs and install new hardwood floors downstairs. They are beautiful. We also hired them to fix doorways and install new doors and the finish goes perfectly with the style and age of the house.We hired Bennett to remodel our bathroom in an old, abused house. We could not be happier with the crew sent out to do the work. We were assigned Larry and Chris to do the bulk of the work and they are beyond great. There was a lot to do, as we needed the floor leveled a bit, electric, plumbing, everything. Larry went with me to pick bathroom fixtures and things and his knowledge of what would be practical was very helpful. He even created frames for the door and window that are in the style of an 1890 house! Chris was very dedicated to his tasks, taking time to make sure the work was top quality. Larry gave us options when planning the tile layout and the end result is stunning to say the least. They kept us informed of what was needed and happening, as well as checking in constantly to make sure everything was what we wanted. They are friendly, clean up everything at the end of the day, and are respectful of everything we have in the house. They go above and beyond. The most important part is that they did an amazing job of making my vision of a dream bathroom come true.
