Scharf were the third plumbers we called for a problem in our home. We bought our home in May 2024 and not long after we moved in we started getting a strong raw sewage odor intermittently that would come on quickly and then be gone a short time later, but it would be strong enough to be irritating. We were convinced it was a venting issue. All the plumbers we called had great reviews on yelp. The first plumber said he didn’t think it was a venting issue and barely looked at anything. The second plumber said he thought we were probably right and told us what we could do, but showed no real interest in fixing it. Scharf sent two guys out to assess the situation and they listened to me and looked at everything— very thorough— and they left with some ideas to discuss with their team. The very next day they came back with a solution— a whole house trap— they redid the pipes in the basement, properly vented the washer drain and the sewer main with the whole house trap. I waited a week to write this to see if they solved the problem. And they did!! No sewage odor in a week!!! Plus they vented my dryer and ran a pipe out from an improperly installed sump pump that drained into the sewer main. They ran a camera to the street to be sure that pipe was clear and it was. They left the basement clean when they were done! I cannot express how happy I am with the work they did, the way they treated us, and how quickly they got the job done!! As far as I am concerned, there’s no other plumber I will call from here on out— they are fantastic! Thank you, Scharf for everything!!!

First of all, I was just happy that someone picked up the phone, especially late in the afternoon. Two guys were sent out the next morning, assessed my issue and resolved it. Both were very personable and professional. I will definitely be using them again if needed and will highly recommend them to others.

We had been having issues with iron in our water for 5 years. Scharf Plumbing came out, took a water sample and created a plan to fix the issue. After installation of the equipment, our water is now working as it should with no issues. They did a great job installing everything and it has been a relief to have our issues finally solved!

The ABSOLUTE BEST!! Hot water tank blew! Called Frank before hours left a message . He called me right back put me at the top of the list!
