Had several Solar companies bid on on a Solar System for our Residence. Met with Trace Cecil of Solar Gain and their 12 kW PV proposal was thousands less than the competition while including equal and superior components. Went with Solar Gain and have not been disappointed. They handled all permits and agreement with Tucson Electric Power Company, and an excellent installation. My system was inspected and approved for connection with the grid in no time.My utility bill dropped to less than 10% of my previous average bill. Plan on going with Solar Gain for future system expansions and the installation of a battery back-up system.

I had a positive experience with Solar Gain. We recently purchased a home with existing solar panels installed by Solar Gain. We were unaware of the need to transfer the previous home owners warranty, but Solar Gains customer service department worked with us to service our panels as if we were their original customers. The Customer Service team worked with us to get our solar panels removed so we could perform roof repairs and placed them back in a professional and timely manner. I appreciate Solar Gains willingness to hear my concerns and reach a resolution that was fair and beneficial to all parties. I would recommend Solar Gain to others!

They have handled all the permits including HOA very smoothly.Salvador was very helpful during the entire process. Great company to deal with service is top tier. Had two inverters replaced under warranty even though i am not the original owner of the home. But the system was installed by them and honored the warranty. Technicians sent were very courteous and pleasant to work with. Service department (Bert) was great to deal with and answered many of my followup questions. I was also able to find out that through Solar Edge I can extend my inverters warranties for 15 more year for only a couple hundred dollars. I wouldnt have known or found out without the help from Bert. I will continue to do business with this company as they are very good with communications, followups and provide additional expert advice and information.

However, from the first meeting w our sales person up to today, we have been very satisfied with SolarGain. Our sales person—Trace—is knowledge, responsive, professional yet very friendly. He has given us great service and gotten all the info we’ve needed or asked for. He seems interested in helping his customers, not just making a sale. Zack—our project manager(I think that’s his title?) was also top notch. Quick to respond, knowledgeable, & we had our project completed in under the projected time. Despite a few issues with the permitting process the overall project went very well. The crews from Solar Gain were professional quality workers. They were informative and accomplished what they planned to do each day. They cleaned up daily and at the end of the day you could not even tell they were here.Cole was great to work with. I called for an appointment which was accommodated in short order. The Service Tech was knowledgable and thorough. Last year I decided to leave the solar company who installed our panels and a battery. I then went with Sal Andrade at Solar Gain and had Solar Gain install another battery.After a few months, I noticed that the original company neglected to route the proper circuits through the battery and that the doorbell on my house was not working properly. We have a Ring doorbell and the battery stayed charged for months.I suspected an issue with the second installation since another piece of equipment burnt out after the power was turned back on.I called Sal, knowing that the original work wasnt under his scope and the doorbell would be difficult to pin on anyone.Sal acted as a great buffer. Solar Gain eventually came out and rerouted the circuit and installed the new doorbell mechanism.As Fernando, the electrician who did the repair work, was leaving, he kept mentioning that he just wanted us happy.Sal, Solar Gain and their workers made us happy.

I do my best to support local Tucson businesses whenever possible, so I was pleased when a good friend of mine referred me to Solar Gain back in 2015 after I expressed an interest in ‘going solar.’ Solar Gain ended up installing a much-needed full-cantilever 4 car carport for me with 33 large solar panels that also serve as the ‘roof’ of the carport. Initially the system was designed with ‘Yield Expectations’ of 13,804kwh/year of production, but the system has averaged about 5% more production than that every year. This solar power substantially reduced my electric costs even though I upgraded from evaporative cooler to central AC at the same time the solar system was installed. Now almost 7 years later, with virtually no maintenance, and even though I was expecting production to decline over the years, the solar canopy is still producing about the same as it did that first year which amazes me. This was obviously a good investment for me that saves me money on electricity, adds value to my home, and is environmentally friendly.

I live out of the state and needed someone I could trust to help some older relatives whose solar system had quit not long after being installed by a less-than-reputable company that had already disappeared. I spoke by phone with Bert at Solar Gain and immediately knew this was the company I wanted to work with. He was knowledgeable, professional yet personal, and thoroughly answered all my questions. Bert was also great to work with by email as I provided additional information and photos before the visit to the home.The day of the visit Connor came out to the house, and was even a little early! Connor was knowledgeable about the system and, more importantly, he did an amazing job patiently working with an elderly gentleman with early-stage dementia. I was visiting the day Connor came, but had to meet with someone else who came to the house. I observed as Connor treated my family member with tremendous respect and worked together with him to resolve the problem.When I initially searched online, I found a few companies willing to work on a solar installation by someone else. To be honest, when I called for estimates Solar Gain gave me the most expensive one. However, I felt from the first phone call that this was the company I could trust with the vulnerable family members I love. After all of my interactions with them, I can now say that I have no doubt I made the right decision. Thank you Bert and Connor for all of your help and expertise, but more importantly, genuinely caring and doing your best to help my family. I am relieved to know I have a resource now in Tucson in case there are future problems with the solar power or solar water heating systems at my relatives home.

I highly recommend Solar Gain for any and all solar needs. In particular, Cole Morelli and Zachary Martlock were fantastic to work with.We started researching solar panels soon after our home purchase in 2021, and at that time Cole was actually with a different company. We interviewed several solar businesses, and Cole was by far the easiest to work with and understand. It never felt like he was pushing a product or trying to “sell” us on solar (it sells itself, TBH). We contracted with that company, but for a variety of reasons we fell through their cracks. After too many months of inaction, I contacted Cole and learned he had left that company and was currently with Solar Gain. We jumped through a lot of hoops to void that prior contract so we could follow Cole to Solar Gain. Again his customer service (and unnecessary apologies) were unmatched. He also committed to expediting our project due to our former snafus so we signed on with Solar Gain.Unlike other companies, once the sales and contract portion were over, the customer service was still on point. Our project manager Zachary Martlock took over from then on, and we could not have asked for a better point person. He constantly updated us on the project status, trenching timeframe, TEP schedules, waiting periods, and next steps. In the five months it took our project to go from signed contract to operational, I’m not sure a week or two went by when I didn’t get an (often unprompted) update from Zachary.Further, our project required a fair amount of trenching work to upgrade our main electrical panel at the start. Our directly adjacent neighbor was not thrilled with the trenching efforts (although we complied with every aspect of it, to the letter) and again Solar Gain as well as their trenching contractor had our back. They were able to diffuse the sticky neighbor situation several times, with Zachary himself visiting our neighbor just so they felt “heard”.All in all, the entire team never let us down, were always on time at scheduled intervals, and treated us as valued customers from start to finish. You won’t be disappointed with Solar Gain.

Solar Gain installed 2 large solar panels on the ground of a property I owned in NW Tucson (Lambert & Shannon).This installation generates 10 kW of power, enough to power this 4,000 sq.ft. home most of the year with a 4-person occupancy.My TEP bill went down to about $8 a month and I was sending back power to the grid, earning credits for the winter months. Loved that!The process went smoothly: a solid engineering study was conducted to determine the power needed and the best location for the solar panels. The installation proceeded on time and at a satisfactory level of professionalism. For instance, a few trees and cactuses that had to be displaced/replanted; they were indeed displaced / replanted successfully. There were minimal track marks after the construction equipment left the property. The solar panels do not receive shade at any moment during the day, which ensure maximum efficiency.If you have the money to own your own solar installation, Solar Gain is a great recommendation.

If you are thinking of putting up some solar panels, these are the guys you should call. This is not a fly by night company. They are easy to get hold of. Before they start they give you a complete break down on costs and the steps they will take as they install your system. There are no suprises. At day one you are assigned an agent you can text or call if you have any qustions. And this agent will actually return your call or text in a timely manner ! The installation crew work as an experienced team and you are left with a clean, professional solar system tied into your electrical grid.

Ive done my research and I chose Solar Gain Inc because theyre Green Valleys solar contractor of choice. Solar Gain Inc installed panels at Green Valley Recreation and also in my neighborhood clubhouse at Casa Paloma 2 so it was a no brainer to install at my house.I went to others that got solar in my neighborhood installed by other companies and they were not a very neat job. One customer is still waiting for panels. I was very pleased with the service that was provided by solar gain.I had problems with other solar companies to remove and replace my existing solar system to put on a new roof. Bert Klunder from Solar gain was very, very helpful and gave me a very good bid on the work to be completed. They went above and beyond their commitment and to complete the job and stick to their bid. Their personal that came to the house were very professional and very and very courteous, I would recommend this company and personnel with the highest recommendations.

I am a huge fan of this company. I originally contracted another company to install a storage system. This arrangement didnt work out. SolarGain came in and completed the install. I now have basic energy independence. I have one more battery installation project on the horizon. The only company I trust is SolarGain. I didn’t end up getting solar installed, but I had the pleasure of working with the Solar Gain team. Tim and Roman, in particular, went above and beyond, even for the smallest details. I can only imagine the outstanding service they provide on a larger project. These guys deserve more than 4.9 stars—easily ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way!

Buying your solar panels are definitely the way to go. Solar Gain were professional and told us what to expect during the process. They were in communication with our contractor while waiting for our addition and new patio to be finished. The solar panels were installed on the new flat patio roof instead of the existing roof.

After spending a year spinning our wheels with other solar companies, Solar Gain was able to get our system install and working and now even in winter our bill, formerly close to $200 even in winter, is $30. And half of that is the min fee required. Looking forward to generating more power as we climb out of winter and having our home at much more comfortable temps during the Arizona summer.
