    I discovered on a Saturday morning that our water heater tank had been leaking. Called Fast Water Heater Co. talked with Charlotte who was extremely helpful and thorough, scheduled to have old tank removed so I could repair the water damage. Chris came out and removed the old tank. He explained all the code updates and options. He was very caring and helpful in what I needed to do to repair and prep for the new water heater. A week later I was ready for the new water heater to be installed. I requested Chris to return for the install. He did a great job in keeping everything including code updates within the same footprint of our old unit. As you can see from the picture once washer and laundry bin are moved back in, theres not much room. Chris was great to work with and deserves high praise.

    After requesting information from Home Depot regarding the replacement of a 20 year old hot water heater, I was quickly contacted by Tim of Fast Water Heater. I found Tim to be very responsive in coordinating everything in a polite and efficient manner. Same day service was offered as an option, but I chose the following day at which time the team of Chris and Devon showed up as scheduled. They did a great job of explaining the process and the necessary updates that were required to bring the installation up to code. They had all the parts needed on their truck and I had a new water heater in a couple of hours. They also handle the permit process and was able to take the Home Depot credit card on site. I highly recommend Fast Water Heater!Thanks for a job well done!

    The service was impeccable. First I spoke with Liz who does the scheduling. She gave me detailed information about hot water heaters, brands, warranties and more. Gave came to do the switch out of my old one and installation of the new one. He explained everything he was going to do and when he was finished he took ample time to show me features I needed to know about the new hot water heater. I highly recommend Fast Water Heater Company for their efficiency and high quality work!

    This company did a great job replacing our water heater in record time.The heater started leaking 8 pm, shutting down hot water and causing us a lot of stress. By lunchtime the next day, it was replaced by the company’s technician Devin Lux. He did excellent work. The installation incorporates all the features to meet regulations. The heater is a nice unit. It will operate during an electrical power out and has a vacation mode. We are very pleased to be back on line so quickly.

    Fast Water Heater lives up to their name. I had a leak, they got me scheduled in very quickly. Plus, when my leak occurred, I got their name from the paper work on my water heater, when I called them they had the records of my heater through Energy Trust - 18 plus later! They walked me through my options of classic and new tankless with the pros cons and costs of each. The team they sent out were knowledgeable and efficient. They let me know the time line and what to expect - which helped make the transition much easier. I will recomend them to others with water heater issues.

    I would recommend Joshua Gonzalez who installed my new water heater. He did a good job from installation to cleaning up the area and made it sure that the new water heater is working and setup correctly before leaving my house.     Lee is someone who is very knowledgeable about his trade and is very professional. He never dismissed any of my questions, and I had a LOT!Gabe was very informative and patient with all my questions about the installation, as I am newly divorced and trying to learn about basic house functions. Why did you have to replace that thing? etc.)At no time were either of them condescending or talked down to me, i.e., someone who knew nothing about water heaters.     Great service and very good communications. There a small water spill in the garage but your technician was very helpful in getting it cleaned up as quick as possible. Mistakes happen. But being accountable and then leaning in to mitigate the problem, is outstanding.

    Fast installed a water heater to replace my 20-year old one that was starting to fail. They showed up when they said they would, gave a fair final estimate and completed the work in about 2.5 hours. The 2-man crew were professional and completed the work to a high standard.     I called and had their service technician Lee come out the same day. He replaced my 30 year old water heater and brought it up to current code. Lee was efficient, communicated clearly patiently answering all of my questions and gave me all of the information about the new shut off valves/drain and how to light the pilot light again if it goes out.I would definitely use them again and will recommend their service to anyone.

    Dang, this company is awesome if you’re having water heater troubles. Adam was very friendly and explained all my options clearly and made an emphasis on helping me pick the option that would be the most cost effective for me. My water heater is 17 years old but he told me since it’s a 1br/1ba it likely wouldn’t have seen as much use as a water heater in a larger household, so could potentially have a few more years of use left in it. So instead of a full replacement, he replaced a thermostat and a leaky hose, now hot water is back up and running and my cost of repair was nice and affordable. I’ll definitely be calling them again when my water heater is finally ready to go to the big scrapyard in the sky.*Well about a year later my water heater finally died ; (They sent Devin and a journeyman out to install a replacement and they were fantastic! Explained everything clearly, super friendly and positive, and finished the job in under 2 hours.*

    When I realized I had to go through the process of buying a new gas water heater, I was pretty distraught. But calling home Depot and having them send out fast water heater company was probably the best thing I could have done. They were such nice guys and super efficient. They explained everything to me in detail, all the charges and anything that I might need in the future. Very down to earth and very helpful.     In 2015 I purchased a water heater from Fast Water Heater Company with a 15 year warranty. Last month I left Portland on a months long road trip. When I returned last Monday, May, 6th, I had no hot water.Not remembering, who I bought the heater from, I dialed the number on the attached sticker and left a message. The next morning, I was at my car dealer having my car serviced. Fast Water heater called me. I am not sure but I think the guy I spoke with might have been named, Scott. I could be wrong. Scott told me that I had a 6 year warranty on my heater and that it was 9 years old. So he said I would have to replace the water heater. I had forgotten about the warranty on the unit.When I bought it in 2015, they sold me a flood stopper. But the tech did not bother to mount it on the wall and instead taped it to my furnace. Eventually the tape gave and it fell to the ground and the cover on the battery compartment broke.When the tech arrived that afternoon, he was about to remove the water heater when I notice the sticker on it that stated it had a 15 year warranty. This was on the heater and parts. I pointed this out to the tech and he got on the phone with his office. He came back to me and told me his evaluation. Apparently the heater had leaked from a valve at the top of the unit. He said I needed an expansion tank in order to bring it up to code and this would have prevented the problem to begin with. (I wondered why they did not sell me that in 2015.) He also said he could not leave me with the broken flood stopper. Lastly he said that I needed a regulator on the water line coming into my house, noting that in his experience the water coming into many Portland houses in my neighborhood comes in at too high a pressure, which can cause leaks.The quoted cost of all this was to be a bit over $1,300.00. Now the fact that when I called they told me that my warranty was expired and I had to catch that mistake, put a damper on my trust in this company. That being said, the tech seemed to do a good job. He installed the expansion tank, mounted and installed the flood stopper, put on a new valve and new lines and installed the regulator on the line coming into my house.The tech had to come back on Friday install the regulator. Monday night I started wondering if they over sold me things I did not need and wrote a message to the company with my concerns. I thought if the problem with the tank was that the pressure going to it was too high, and the regulator he was going to install on the main coming into the house was going to control the overall pressure, why did I need the expansion tank. Apparently that is part of what is need to be in code with a closed system. I also mention the shoddy way the original flood stopper had been installed.The next day James Fudd wrote me an email and apologized for the miscommunication and the flood stopper. He said a credit would be issued for the flood stopper. This brought my bill down to around $1,000.I do think they did a good job overall. And I believe James handled the situation in a righteous manner.

Please be aware that the quote from the office does not include the expansion tank required by code (unless you have an open loop system).     The whole experience from beginning to end was awesome! I was so disgusted dealing with Home Depot and wasted 2 days of my time. My issue, and should have called Fast Water Heater to begin with. Kyle was my first contact to set up appt to deal with my leaking water heater problem. He was patient and walked me through the proper procedure which I appreciated because I was pretty frustrated. He asked me to Give us a chance to make things right for you. Everything we discussed was as expected. First, sending out technician to see if leaking drain valve can be removed & replaced with the new one Rheem Manufacturer sent to me. Second, if it is determined cant be repaired the water heater will be replaced with same or equal to the existing water heater installed March 2019 that had a 12-year warranty.Devin contacted me half hour before arriving to confirm appt. Appreciated that so much so could kennel our guard dog. Cant speak highly enough about Devin & Jose because they were professional, respectful of our dog, the space they were working in and property. In spite of all the efforts made with tricks of the trade methods used to get the drain valve removed, it was finally determined the water heater needed to be replaced. Here it was Wednesday & havent had hot water since the past Friday and spent my Mothers Day mopping and baling water from this leaking water heater in my laundry room every two hours!Devin got right on it and gave me the best ETA so I knew expectation. Worse case scenario would be the following Monday. Okay, I was mentally prepared. Two hours later to my delight he said they would be able to get a new water heater installed the next day.Thursday rolls around. Devin once again makes contact to ask if can deliver water heater a little early and I said yes but I told him I was planning to get a new drip pan and wanted to get rid of old one. No problem and he even suggested the correct size pan to get and they stock it on their truck if I needed one.Uninstall of old heater was quick. Devin took care to wipe up any residue that leaked. He unpacked the new heater outside then brought it in for Jose to start installation.     Changing to 5:5 as customer service had reached out to management via email and they responded that it is ok the fix the water heater on the weekend.Original Review: The actual techs are great. Customer service is friendly too, but they are handicapped by having to ask management for anything deemed out of the ordinary. For some context, I had my water heater installed in October before we moved in and while we were still renovating. Come December we finally moved in and found out hot water heater doesn’t work. No problem, call them once, they came out and ordered a part, then that part didn’t fix the problem so they ordered another part. They came out yesterday but this part arrived defective and the manufacturer of the water heater sent a replacement that arrived this morning. The techs yesterday said somebody would be working today and tomorrow and would be able to come out and fix it. When I called, they said they only do installations on the weekend and that they wouldn’t be able to swing by until 4 days from now, or Tuesday since it’s “maintenance”. They said only way to get around this is to get manager approval but no managers are available this weekend… we have been without hot water since we moved in and all we want is hot water, fast. I totally get that the manufacturer is responsible for a working water heater, but would love to see more flexibility for customer service to help customer when it falls outside of guidelines. This would be the fifth visit to make the water heater work… More like Slow Water Heater Company…

    Our home was in need of a new water heater. We bought it through the Albany Home Depot, and they sent Dale and Sean to do the install. These two guys provided excellent customer service. First off, they performed an inspection of the space and made what I believe were solid observations and recommendations for the install. Listening to his recommendations, however, actually meant buying a different water heater than the one we originally wanted. This appeared to require a little bit more money, but Dale worked hard to get a lower price than the one quoted for us by Home Depot, and found ways to get us some more savings. He didnt recommend or perform anything that didnt seem necessary. And in the end, the install appears top notch. We are very happy with the heaters performance itself so far (its only been a few weeks). Regardless of how the heater performs though, I cant stress enough how good the customer service was. Both Sean and Dale were very clear in their communication throughout the whole process, were flexible with my schedule, were excellent at explaining concepts over the phone and in person, and did their jobs quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend these guys, and would refer them to anyone needing water heater services.

    We bought a water heater on July 4, 2013 from a major retailer. Fast Water Heater was out the next day to install. Kevin did a fantastic job and was very thorough with his work. On June 1, 2015 the water heater failed. It took me 2 days and 6 phone calls for 4.5 hours to file a claim on the extended warranty with the retailer and their third part warranty repair. They could not come out for over a week! I asked to use Fast but was told they are not the authorized repair people and this would void my warranty and I would be responsible for the labor. Very disgusted, we decided to wait. The authorized person finally came and looked at the water heater and determined it was the gas valve. But, he did not have this on his truck! He said in was very booked and would return in 2 weeks!! I called the retailer and demanded Fast Water Heater do the repair! After working my way up the chain of command, I finally reach someone of reason. He made the call to Fast for me. Tim came out the next day! He did a spectacular job of diagnosis, cleaning, flushing, and repair of the water heater sight unseen. Did he have the parts? Yes, several on board of the gas valve and thermo coupler. Thank you Fast Water Heater!! PS - when the authorized repair man told me he did not have the parts, I was told they would do an emergency order overnight. I could not believe these parts were not available in town. The next day after Tims great job, a next day air came with a gas valve. Guess what....came from across town!! Thank the Lord we have Fast in town!!!

    Is this the same company that services Vancouver, Washington? If not, please direct me so I can pass along my review. We are renters, so we didnt swallow the cost of our repair, however, dealing with the service tech on site was a great experience. I believe his name was Josh. Super knowledgeable, professional and patient with my curious five year old. We live in a very old house with outdated piping and electrical, so this job took about five hours. Never once did I feel stress from the tech. He carried on working clean and doing top notch work. Super thankful for his time, as Im sure I carried over his regular time, and the quality of work. Glad he had the expertise to share city coding information and fill me in, although being a renter, this information is important. Thanks again.

    Scott G was absolutely great, from start to finish. He clearly explained everything to my husband and I, and wrote up three different estimates and gave us really clear options when he realized it wasnt easy to install a regular hot water heater to replace the old one. When he installed the new Power Vent water heater, he made the space safer, more well vented, and secured the unit better than the old one. He also explained how the new unit worked, including the temperature settings. Scott is a knowledgeable professional, and a smart guy. He deserves a raise!

    My hot water tank died. It was a low boy and located in a very difficult spot to get to. It was surrounded by kitchen sink cabinet on one side, and range on the other. Adam Gomez was the installer. I can’t say enough good things about him. He was so professional and friendly. I had been self quarantining, and he was so careful wearing a mask and gloves and sanitizing everything. He left a very clean work area. All the paperwork he slid across the counter to me so we could practice social distancing. You are very fortunate to have him for an employee!

    The guys called and showed up early for the install which I really appreciated. The instal did not take to long and they didn’t leave a mess. One problem is that they pushed my dryer against the wall causing the vent hose to come off and I had to purchase additional part.

    Tim and the gang at Fast Water Heater did a great job replacing my old electric tank with a new GE Geospring Heat Pump Water Heater. The job wasnt easy with the existing tank in the basement and the steep narrow stairs and the new tank now an 80-gal. unit. The install is clean and looks great and Tim did a great job at making sure each detail (the pvc condensate line, the seismic strapping, etc.) was just right. Fast Water Heater has definitely made a happy customer and will continue to see my business.
