Let me start with Eduardo was amazing and patient with me and all my questions and the final product met all my needs. I would recommend them.I didnt give a 5 because this was a simple after the fact plan that was supposed to be expedited and complete in two weeks and I didnt even get the first draft until after the promised date and it took another 2 weeks to get the final because of delays in response and careless errors on the draftsman part and I still had to pay the extra fee.

Belt Engineering hands down is THE BEST. They were quick to help me when I desperately needed a last minute inspection for a house and they were incredibly kind and honest! I was in need of an engineer to inspect the trusses in my home. Cheley was extremely courteous and helpful in getting everything arranged. Jose was willing to come that same day because of the upcoming holiday week. He was at my house within 4 hours. He was professional and knowledgeable. Upon leaving he said it would take 3 weeks to complete a rendering for a repair. Within two weeks Cheley called to say it was ready. The entire experience was amazing. There are just not enough words to describe the professionalism and brilliance of Professional Engineer Davis B. at Belt Engineering. I had water issues inside my balconys decorative framed arches. The engineer who had helped me design the original custom home had retired and is no longer practicing. I first called a South Tampa engineering firm. They said that it would be $1,500 for them to just come out and “check the project out”, then they would assess and give me a figure for the elaboration of signed and sealed plans. I agreed to pay them the $1,500 to just come out and see the project. The principal engineer at this firm dissuaded me from the plans that I had in mind by giving me a rough order of magnitude that is a whopping ten times the cost to actually complete the project. Then this principal engineer went off to develop a “not-for-construction” plan that would not even solve my problem. Each time I asked a question, I would get a standard email by his “Vice President of Operations” stating that, per the contract, it would be another hourly charge, and for each request, the estimate was in the thousands of dollars. After paying this firm several thousand dollars, I ended up with an unsealed one-sheet plan labelled “not-for-construction” that had nothing to do with what I had been striving to get done. Even those useless plans would have cost me $8,000 to $10,000 to sign and seal. The plans I was striving for were closer to $16,000 per their emails. So after about 4 weeks of this billable back and forth, I decided to cut my losses and terminate this firm’s engagement. I then reached out to Belt Engineering. Enters Davis B. Unlike his predecessor from the other firm, Davis B. was a professional, down-to-earth, and pragmatic professional engineer. But most importantly, Davis B. listened intently to me and what I needed done. Davis B. considered me as an individual and a client. I felt respected with Davis B. With Belt Engineering, I started feeling that my ideas for a solution were not too esoteric after all requiring hundreds of thousands in design and implementation as I was led to believe by the previous engineering firm. Most amazingly, Davis B. performed exactly and precisely every aspect of the design that I was striving to get done without ever setting foot in my residence. Davis B. followed my original building plans and came up with a timely signed-and-sealed design that included every single element that I was hoping to get with a minimal number of all-inclusive iterations. Best of all, the project designed by Belt Engineering will end up costing me around one tenth of the amount that the previous South Tampa engineering firm had told me the cost would be. This proved to me that my decision to terminate the previous South Tampa firm and go with Belt Engineering was absolutely the correct one. I paid Belt engineering a very reasonable fee for the entire sealed and signed design, which was a tad bit above the charge of the South Tampa firm’s to just come out and “see the project” for a couple of hours. I am now convinced that Belt Engineering is a hidden Tampa Bay gem in the ranks of professional engineering firms. Belt engineering and Davis B. hold the highest degree of ethics in the business. Belt Engineering services left me with a feeling of awe, respect, admiration, and out of words for thanks. Davis B. did not have to take my project on at all, but once he did, he delivered to the highest extent of his professionalism, creativity, and engineering prowess. Best of all, Davis B. did so after intently listening to me as a client and heeding my desires to the extent that they are technically feasible. Davis B.’s solid design proved to me that my ideas were actually viable and not exorbitant at all. I highly recommend Belt Engineering thanks to their superior experience and knowledge and to their good old-fashioned set of rules of ethics and a value system that is second to none in this industry. I will use them again in a heartbeat and am truly humbled by their kindness and knowledge.

Belt Engineering structural engineer Micah Geisler conducted a thorough and complete residential inspection on an atrium in our condominium residence in Winter Park. We were in the process of selling our unit and the buyer had concerns about the atrium, so we contacted Belt Engineering, who immediately set up an appointment for the inspection. Mr. Geisler went atop the roof and thoroughly examined all aspects of the atrium (condition, age, any apparent problems, materials used in construction) and provided both ourselves and the buyer with a post-inspection summary of what he found. He gave a totally honest and independent summary that eased the fears of the buyer and our condo association, who had complained about the atrium because they were unaware of the quality and background of its construction

We use Belt Engineering to review and design structural and remodeling plans. The Florida Building Code is constantly changing and difficult to navigate and keep up with. The engineers at Belt, including Joe and Sam, have been very helpful preparing and altering our plans to meet all required codes as well as recommending best building practices so that we can focus on building quality structures. They have quickly responded to all new job requests and questions.
