We couldnt be happier with our home remodel done by Bennett and IHR. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Their attention to detail was impeccable, and they always kept us informed throughout the project. They were incredibly respectful of our home and ideas, and their clear communication made the entire process seamless. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they were quick to respond and address them. The project was completed on time, and everything was so well-organized. We highly recommend IHR for any remodeling work – they exceeded our expectations in every way.

We first explored our remodel with another company, but were not very satisfied in initial meetings. We are so glad to have switched to Bennett and IHR. Bennetts organization skills are top notch, and in this business it is a rarity to have every step laid out and a realistic timeline developed, which in our case was met with fantastic efficiency. We had our kitchen and two baths totally redone and are thrilled with the results. Our new rooms fit the style and mood of our home but function so much better, and are beautiful as well.Bennett has an excellent team and reliable subs. The occasional glitch was usually due to supply chain issues, which are thankfully subsiding. IHR provides so much detail and information, we feel we failed a bit as clients to keep up! Instead we would often ask for information already provided, and always got a patient answer. Our stresses were in making decisions about appliances, design, etc. in a timely way (our project took a year and a half from initial meeting with Bennett to completion of the project, but even so we could have dallied even more!). We also added some major elements to our remodel which were cheerfully accommodated. Clients should be prepared to devote time to research and review so they can help IHR do their job and stay on schedule. We always felt heard and given time as needed. We would highly recommend Bennett and IHR, and love the fact they are a local company.

We hired Bennett to perform a full kitchen remodel for our home - every step of the process was handled with professionalism and care. We worked through a design that worked for us, maximized the space available to us (and even found the best design to match the space, at the lowest cost of all the options available to us), and ended up with a transformative space for our entire home.We had a lot of questions throughout the entire process - Bennett was always gracious with his time and more than willing to explain every option available to us (even going so far as to find additional solutions for us on multiple occasions). Bennett was thorough and on top of everything. We always felt we had an advocate with every contractor in our home - with him even going so far as to clean our space because some dust had made its way out.We got the project done with only a few small delays (entirely due to a couple cabinets being delivered in the incorrect configuration - which Bennett was able to get fixed promptly and at no cost to us) and on the budget we agreed to.I would give Innovated Home Renovations and Bennett my full throated endorsement and recommendation for anyone who wants a top notch remodel for their home. Well definitely be going back when we want to get our bathroom done!

We used Bennett Bottorff of Innovative Home Renovations to remodel a small bathroom in our condo in downtown Seattle. We wanted to replace the tub with a shower, add a wall-hung cabinet, new lighting, and additional storage – a pretty tall order for a bathroom that was less than forty square feet. The condo is in a high-rise, and he was required to navigate HOA requirements and work with the facilities manager as well as all the neighbors on several floors. From the beginning, Bennett seemed sincerely enthusiastic about our project. At our very first meeting, we felt we were in good hands. We appreciated his organization and integrity. Everything happened exactly the way he said it would; there were no surprises, no cost overruns, and no delays once the project got started. He had good ideas, but he also listened carefully to ours. We were pleased with all aspects of the project. His subcontractor team all did really outstanding work. Home Renovations has our highest recommendation and sincere appreciation for an outstanding job well done.

Bennett, Megan and Christina were great to work with. Super organized, great communication and all our expectations were far exceeded! There were a couple of unexpected hiccups, but they were resolved quickly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use IHR again.

I had wanted to turn two rooms into an apartment and after meeting with a couple of contractors, was convinced that there was only one way to configure it.Bennett came up with a super innovative idea that was not only less expensive, but much more practical and beautiful. Bennett completed the job on budget and within the time estimated and allowed me to have input all along the way, which I loved. He was fun and kind and truely concerned with doing great, high quality work.

We love our kitchen!! We worked with Bennett to open up our kitchen to the living room and dining room through a load bearing wall. With an old 1940s house, there were a lot of variables that could go wrong, but Bennett did a great job of communicating those things, and testing for moisture, lead, etc before even starting the job or opening up the walls.Bennett has an eye for our sense of style - modern / vintage / farmhouse look. We definitely appreciated his outside of the box thinking to our space problems - he could think of creative solutions we did not.While we were in the ideation / planning phase before any construction began, we realized that the scope of the project was going to make us exceed our personal budget for the project, so Bennett was very flexible and pivoted to letting us install the cabinets (via ikea) ourselves to save some cash. He still stayed with the project, checking in and offering advice, all the way through final inspection.He was always available via phone / text / email and meetings. He’s a very sweet guy that even gave our little toddler some books that his sons enjoyed when they were that age.

I highly recommend IHR. Bennett did a great job building and designing a balcony/porch for our 1926 home. Communication was great - we always knew what to expect and how how much it would cost. Exterior work included: design and building of the balcony including custom wrought iron railings and tile, replacing windows and window framing, stucco repair, gutters and painting a three story house, plus all the permit work it entailed. Interior work included kitchen cabinets and floor, electrical and painting.

IHR remodeled our master bathroom. From the very beginning we were impressed with the quality and attention we were given. Bennett Bottorff, owner of IHR, was very professional and communicated very well throughout the entire process. Our old master bathroom was a total mess, dry rot under one of the sinks that leaked to the outside of the house, burned out electrical outlets, a leaking skylight window. They took it down to the studs and gave us a brand new bathroom, which we adore! When we first met with Bennett, he explained the entire process, from design work to installation, he even made some great suggestions for lighting and accessibility for my partner who is visually impaired. He helped guide us to figure out exactly what we wanted and what was feasible for the space we had. When the installation began, every one of the contractors who came to our home was professional and kind. After design work, our installation took about three months. At the beginning we were given a binder which organized the entire project, it had everything from a calendar (that stated which contractors were going to be at our house and when they would be there), budget outline, and detailed information about who each contractor was and what they were doing. IHR had amazing clarity about the project and we were never left guessing what we should expect on any given day. Each week we received updates via email about who was on site and the job they completed. When there were any concerns or questions about the project they were immediately addressed to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend IHR and will hopefully be using them again in the future!

Bennett and team did an amazing job remodeling our basement bathroom during the pandemic. Starting with meticulous design, planning and excellent communication throughout, the finished project wildly exceeded our expectations. We may need to remodel the rest of the house to bring it up to the same standard!

I am very pleased with the bathroom remodel recently completed by IHR. It looks beautiful and meets my needs perfectly. IHR offered great suggestions for fixtures and materials during the design process, and the final product exceeded my expectations. When changes to the schedule were necessary, they were promptly communicated, and a reasonable alternative was suggested. The workers were skilled, thorough, polite, hard-working and prompt. I highly recommend IHR.

Bennett worked with us to do a big kitchen remodel which involved moving the kitchen from one area of the house to another. We also worked with an interior designer (Kimberlee Marie Designs). Together they were an absolutely winning team that helped us create the kind of kitchen dreams are made of. If you want a 100% reliable contractor, a contractor who does what he says, turns up when he says he will and calls you back promptly when he misses your call Bennett is your guy! We really loved Bennetts fixed price bid. It was such a comfort to know we knew the cost going into the remodel and wouldnt be stung with any surprises before it all kicked off. Bennett was incredibly diligent in his getting everything right and working with us to make it all beautiful. Bennett is a real perfectionist and insists his sub contractors work to his same high standards. We were never left with sub-par work or any sort of job not finished, he completely on top of it. The cherry on top of it all is Bennett is just a really lovely guy and was a pleasure to have in our home whilst doing all of this work. I would highly recommend Bennett to anyone thinking of doing any sort of remodel in their home be it big or small, he is just wonderful and we cant thank him enough. Hes amazing.

Finding the right fit for a contractor/client relationship is one of the most important factors for a successful renovation project. Your home is likely one of the largest investments you have ever made, on a financial level, as well as an emotional level, so you want to make sure it is in the hands of someone who would treat it as their own, and that is what we found with Innovative Home Renovations.One of the first things Bennett showed us in our initial meetings was a graphic that depicts the emotional rollercoaster of any renovation project. We definitely experienced the full-spectrum of ‘renovation consternation’ as anyone would, especially as working parents of three small children, doing a mult-faceted remodel, right smack in the middle of a global pandemic. Fortunately, when on the rollercoaster, the high-highs completely overshadowed any of the lows, and any time we hit what could be classified as a low point, Bennett and his team were always a text or phone call or in-person meeting away to talk us through it.His communication style is thorough and transparent and he also has a sense of humor which really is helpful when dealing with anything stressful.The thing we appreciated most about Bennett is his genuine approach to accountability. He is someone who is open to learning and won’t stop until even the smallest detail of the project is done right. He has impeccable standards so you can be confident that what you will be left with is a completed job that everyone is happy with. No corners cut, no stone left unturned. His attention to detail is unmatched to the point that right before demo, he found a rogue lego character behind the refrigerator when they pulled it out and it saved it for us in case it might have been important. It may seem like a small act, but those small acts are what make all the difference.He also seemed to have a great relationship with all of his subs and was conscious of working within the parameters of Covid safety protocols, which was really important to us.When we met with Bennett, it immediately felt like he was family and over the course of the months we spent together, that proved to be true. He is now very much a part of our lives, and our home, and we are extremely grateful for that. We cannot recommend Innovative Home Renovations enough.
