Richard came out to my home to assess the leak we had in our garage. He took into consideration that we did not want to cut into the wall of our babies room and he made it work!! We didn’t even have to cut any large holes or anything! Richard and his team made sure to be honest, fair, and on time. They were able to fix the leak and do a reroute in record time. Me and my family will definitely be doing business with them again!

Great experience overall with this company, especially with plumber Gavino Luna. They were willing to install my new dishwasher when my regular plumbing company wasn’t. He went above and beyond what I was expecting. I couldn’t be happier!

At 9 pm on Tuesday Oct. 22, right after we got our kids to bed and started to wind down with our own nighttime routines, we had a horrible plumbing issue arise seemingly out of nowhere. Our shower would not drain and within 2 minutes there was standing water almost to my ankles. While my husband did what he could, snaking the shower and then the nearby toilet for any clogs, it turned out his skill level was still not quite enough to fix the problem. And to top it off, when he tried plunging the toilet it ended up breaking the seal so we also had water slowly leaking across our bathroom floor on top of everything. We called several businesses that claimed to be 24 hour and that accepted urgent cases. The first 3 did in fact have a 24 hour answering service, however none of them could get anyone out to us for 12 hours or longer. So finally I found 1-Tom-Plumber. I liked that they appeared to be a smaller local business, but still had wonderful 5 star reviews. When I called, I was greeted by someone very friendly who seemed to have sympathy for our situation. Keep in mind this was probably 11 pm at this point. After completing the quick initial intake, he told me he could have someone out to us within an hour, he just needed to wake up his technician. I asked him to repeat that because I honestly thought I had heard him wrong. We were so grateful for their speedy service! And indeed within 1 hour our technician arrived. This wonderful young mans name is Andrew Eckman. He was so kind and told us not to worry every time I apologized for him having to wake up at home at such a late hour. He was very quick and efficient, definitely knows what hes talking about, and within the first 30 min he had looked at all of the toilets and showers and even our outside drain, and had high suspicions as to the culprit. He was very up front with the pricing before doing any work, and by the end the amount was the same with zero surprises! Fast forward a few hours. Basically we had a clog at that perfect spot in the drain that was too far for my husbands snake to reach, and even then it would have been too big for us to unclog on our own because there was a small belly in the line causing things to pile up over time until it was fully clogged this night. During that time he diagnosed the issue, completely cleaned out the line of any and all clogs, removed our toilet to fix the broken seal and reinstalled the toilet again even calking around the base so you would never know it had been removed in the first place. I would also like to point out that with all of this work he even managed to not wake up either of our kids which was somewhat of a miracle as both of their rooms share walls with our bathrooms! Andrew was great answering all of my questions to explain what was happening, all of the whys and hows etc. He was very patient, and as I am someone with very little plumbing knowledge I appreciated him taking his time to explain everything without making me feel stupid. By the end of it all he was finished by 3:30 am and we were asleep by 4.Bottom line, I highly recommend 1-Tom-Plumber for any late night or otherwise urgent issues!And if you can request Andrew Eckman he is amazing! He will be our preferred go-to plumber if/when the need arises.Thank you again Andrew and 1-Tom-Plumber!

We had a large leak under our driveway. We were afraid we would have to tear up the asphalt to fix the leak. Luckily, Richard came and worked for 2 whole days to get this taken care for us! Somehow he was able to dig far enough under the asphalt to avoid digging up the driveway. We also had a very rare pipe to fix so he went out to his way and found the one place in San Antonio that it sold it. He really went above and beyond for us and we are so thankful. Definitely would recommend this company and Richard!

We had a leak because of a cracked pvc pipe a little farther than would be an acceptable risk for me to work on. I called down the list starting with Roto Rooter. RR said I was in a two hour window when we end the call, so I gave them all my info. About an hour later I called them to give them some other info that I just remembered and found out they had not gotten an available tech yet and it would be longer but they didn’t bother letting me know so I could search around. The next one I called couldn’t fit me in until the next day (Elmer’s - very polite and lovely receptionist) but we had to shut our house water off and I needed someone tonight. Next was 1-Tom. The guy I spoke to seemed nice. A little quiet. I never heard of 1-Tom so I didn’t know what to expect. The window I was told on the phone was about an hour earlier than what we got and it ended up being about 20 minutes past our window but our tech (plumber) was Gavino Luna, an extremely polite and intelligent young man. He was knowledgeable and did not try to sugarcoat what needed to happen. He had to cut a hole into the wall to get to the rest of the pipe so he could cut it and put on the fittings he brought. When he put on the solution for the pipe he waited 40 minutes for it to dry before putting turning the water on, then waited another 20 minutes to make sure there were no leaks. This was already after midnight. He explained to me why he needed to wait each time (which explains why when I tried to fix it I got the leak). He explained everything simple but not condescending and he made sure the work was done correctly. In fact, he was able to tape the square hole he cut (per my request) in my wall with the piece he cut out and it still looks really good.I definitely recommend 1-Tom-Plumber for emergencies. Also, military discount which I didn’t have to ask. I was wearing my military hat (sometimes I still have to ask even if I’m wearing the hat). Thank you Mr. Luna. Great job and much appreciated!
